Beejus Posted June 16, 2015 Share Posted June 16, 2015 I may have said this before at some point, I don't remember. But you know what I really like about WCW in 1994 like this? It's that you have two distinct ways you can go. It's either the Hogan Path or the Tradition Path. The Tradition Path means you can go through and sign up regional talents and make something out of them. Signing guys like the Rock 'n Roll Express, Barry Windham, and Magnum TA falls here. And it is extremely viable, because before Hogan came along, WCW was all about the tradition and honoring older wrestlers as well as finding new stars like Austin, Cactus, or Levesque. To be honest, I think that War of the Thrones kinda follows the Tradition Path. The tougher path to take is the Hogan Path, which means you jettison people like Ventura, Austin, Cactus, Vader, or Levesque (those who Hogan doesn't like or would upstage him, basically) in favor of bringing in people like Brother Bruti, Avalanche, Kamala, Mr. T, pushing the Nasty Boys and Jim Duggan, and maybe even some Honky Tonk Man, as well as putting down money on PPVs for celebrities. For realism's sake, you almost have to walk some of the Hogan Path in July '94, because Hulk is already there. But you can still choose the other way if you want, whereas by the time of the 1995 mod, you are already solidly down the Hogan Path. I could be wrong, but I find it interesting to think about. The State Patrol vs. Arn Anderson and Dustin Rhodes Comment: A not so big win for Arn and Dustin. Rip Rogers vs. Ricky Steamboat Comment: Again, a not so big win for someone. The Nasty Boys vs. Stars 'N' Stripes Comment: I know the Nastys are probably the favorites here, but I wouldn't mind seeing you put Teddy with SnS and giving them a good run. I seem to recall perhaps you were pushing them in an older '94 diary? I could be wrong though. WCW World Television Title Match 10 Minute Time Limit Lord Steven Regal defends vs. Scott Stud Comment: I wish I could find a good pic to cut for organic that had Regal with his powdered wig. About this timeframe he was wearing that to the ring a good bit, and it looked just ridiculous enough to work. WCW United States Title Match Steve Austin defends vs. Johnny B. Badd Comment: Austin makes a better US champ than Badd right now. Non-Title Match Ric Flair vs. Kevin Sullivan Comment: WOOOOO Fun Fan Signs: I want Sullivan's Woman!
