I'm playing according to the current CBA, so contracts won't be longer than 4 or 5 years. The longer extension that I've seen was for 3 years, the game forbids 4. I signed a guy that requested a extension of 12M and 3 years. I don't have cap space nor Bird rights but I could offer, as a maximum, 4.136M (165% of the previous salary, that's not the Early Bird or Non-Bird extension, what is it?). If I play with contract length of 6 and 7 years then I can do extensions for 5 years. So I suppose that the max length of a contract extension is one-year less than the non-Bird length, yeah?.
