WCW 91: The Cowboys Way

Recommended Posts

After a long hiatus I'm back with my first TEW 13 diary! I am not great with the back stories but basically I have taken the role of Cowboy Bill Watts the former booker of the mid south territory who has been out of the business since being brought out by Jim Crockett.

http://www.nwalegends.com/images/billwatts135x135.jpg

"I returned to the business in December of 1990, Ted invite me Erik, Charlotte and myself to the Christmas night show in the Omni to give him a critique of the product and the deal was done there and then with him and Bill Shaw to replace Ole. First thing I did do was overall the booking team as many of them had there own agendas and I brought in people I respected or believed could add to the product so by the time we where done it ended up with me, Hiro Matsuda, Mike Graham, Les Thatcher and Greg Gagne ..."

COUNTDOWN TO THE CLASH

http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h291/TweekIt/WCW/bth_Jim_Ross7.jpg

Hi everyone Jim Ross here on the WCW hotline with the countdown to the clash. As tomorrow night The Clash of Champions comes to you live on pay per view from The Omni in Atlanta and what a show we have as all five championships will be on the line and they don't come much bigger than the man who claims he rules the world Sid Vicious challenges Sting for the richest prize in wrestling today the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

These two men clashed at Halloween Havoc and three weeks ago on World Championship Wrestling in two controversial matches which has caused the challenger to go on a rampage. However we can never count out the heart and desire of the man from Venice Beach who has not backed down from anybody !

Of course we also know Stings close friend The Total Package Lex Lugar is scheduled to defend the US title against the bad man from Borger Texas, Stan The Lariet Hansen! However after Hansen's actions this past weekend assaulting referee Scott James and The Young Pistols, WCW Executive Vice President Cowboy Bill Watts will issue a ruling a top of the hour as the clash goes on the air!

The Enforcer Arn Anderson will defend the world television champion against Flyin Brian. The former Bengal standout has been on a role as of late pinning Ric Flair to win $15,000 in the gauntlet and now he looks to once again strike at the heart of The Four Horsemen.

Also four of the hottest tag teams in WCW will battle for gold as The Steiner Brothers defend the US tag team titles against Michael Hayes and Jimmy Jam Garvin. The men from Badstreet USA secured the shot in controversial style and now the brothers from the motor city want revenge. While the world tag team champions Doom and Thedore Long demanded real competition and they got it in the return of the legendary Midnight Express Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan who as always are accompanied by my former broadcast colleague James E Cornette plus Michael Wallstreet will be in action live only on pay per view
