Like all leagues at SSG, we are a real-time sim league and we'll be using BBCF. SSG College Football is the second of a series of leagues starting in 2015 to simulate an entire world of simulated sports in conjunction with one another (even such things as crossover athletes). The schedule, reports, available teams, and application can all be viewed on the site. We're continuing to take applications until the first 40 spots are filled (Big Ten, Pac 12, SEC), and after that, we'll look to expand. The regular season kicks off Saturday, September 5th with rivalry week happening during the Thanksgiving weekend. Of course, we'll be using a tournament to decide our National Champion each year. The league file is a 2015 mod of the 2014 mod from JaCeLo3 at the GDS forums, and now even has the proper placements for the tournament games for the 2015 season, proper payouts, and many other tweaks I've personally made to best reflect the 2015 season and beyond. We're also in the process of finalizing a BBCF to FOF player converter, thanks to FOFC's Groundhog, making it the first ever FOF-connected league to track our college players into the pro's when we start our coordinating NFL league using FOF. Mike Lowe Posted August 23, 2015 Author Share Posted August 23, 2015 With the news breaking on a BBCF patch for the 2015 season, SSG College Football has decided to back up to the beginning of training camp. Luckily, this only puts us a few game weeks behind, and we're currently working on an updated schedule to ensure we conclude training camp with enough time for us to prepare for the week 1 games scheduled for September 5th. We are starting with just 40 teams now, and we have space available. Once we hit 40, we'll look to expand beyond that. Please fill out an application on the website if you're interested. This is sure to be a great league, and one of the first ever to feature the new 4-team playoff system in BBCF. The rest of the league details can be found at the SSG website. If you check out simsportsglobal.com you will be hooked. We started with baseball and are now up to SIX sports including (the reason for this post) Pro Basketball, College basketball, and College football through Grey Dog Software! You will not meet a better bunch of guys to work with. I have had a blast. Pro Basketball is about to roll into training camp so it is not too late to probably grab your favorite team. I left the best team (San Antonio ) open for someone else to have fun with. Also our college hoops season is about to get into conference play and is now caught up to reality as far as the calendar goes. We are just now starting recruiting for the 2017 season after completing our second full (365 day) season. We also successfully were able to import our draftees from last year into our pro game using Front Office Football (we have members in both leagues) and will do the same this year in April. This game itself feels awesome, and we have a blast. We use Slack for our chat, and we sim just once a week, so it's a perfect complimentary league to the ones you might already be in; think of us as your slow-aging wine to your collection of beer leagues--a nice addition to the collection!
