Veteran player, issue with game

Windows 10, Alienware Alpha R2

I starting playing the game again after several years away from it. BBCF was working just fine through Steam for about 6 months, then recently I began having issues. I uninstalled the game and began attempts to access it outside of the Steam app, to no success. I'm still having the same issue. So, I revisited the forums and used the recommended method of re-installing the game. Same result. I hope someone see's this posting, as I paid for a new eliscence and don't want to see my efforts, passions for the game, or the money go to waste.

Thank you in advance <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

SCENARIO:

Upon startup, the intro screen appears, however the game option buttons do not appear, on closer inspection it's clear the intro screen (while in full window mode) is only 3/4 the actual image, the bottom portion which contains the game buttons is missing, attempts to "raise" the window reveals the shortened image is not blocked or hidden off screen - just cut off

Sounds like a DPI issue:

Make sure your DPI in windows is set to 96 and your font size is normal. You can do this by right-clicking your desktop, selecting properties and clicking the "Appearance" tab. The font size there should be "Normal". Next, click the "Settings" tab and choose "Advanced". The DPI option should be "96".

Although I did have to "undo" a few changes from previous troubleshooting, the issue was indeed with the window scaling.

Thank you sooo much friend !!
