The one with the Mexican who screams about hamsters.

RTG: Sweet Revenge Pre Show, Part 1: Talking Tiger

The difference between TEW and real life:

In real life I've read that the wrestler Tigre Uno, known in RTG as Extreme Tiger, is flying high in TNA as X Division Champion. However on my TEW save I found him completely unemployed, fired unceremoniously from TNA, having never won a title, and with no Mexican promotions in any rush to hire him. It's for this reason that a microscopic little fed like RTG managed to get their hands on him.

"It is surely an exercise in absurdity that an athlete of such high standing as myself should be hoisted into such a ridiculous situation" said the man in the mask. For a guy dressing as a tiger for a living, he was very well spoken. If you heard him you'd think you were in the presence of a professor or an ambassador or something. He'd taught himself English using old tutorial CDs from Oxford University archives that he'd found online. The result was a bizarre but enthralling mixture - a man dressed like a cat, kicking ass for a living, yet speaking like the King of England. His voice was rich like silk, yet powerful enough to let you know he meant business - kind of like a cross between William Regal and George Takei. Not that many people got to hear his smooth tones, however. He took Kayfabe so seriously he wouldn't even admit to anyone in RTG except me that he spoke English, forcing others to talk to him in Spanish, in order to be "true to the character".

We were sat in the closest thing this town has to a "classy" wine bar. Tiger had turned up wearing his mask. It got some funny looks, to say the least. Maybe the locals thought Halloween was late this year. Or maybe they just assumed he was really kinky. Tiger was serious about Kayfabe to the extent he never took his mask off in public in any town he wrestled in. Another thing he took very seriously was the way he'd been treated by his former employer Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Since we'd met up over an hour ago, he'd spoken of little else. "A menagerie of charlatans and thieves" he called them, before adding that "I can't think of a travesty such as this since Brutus betrayed Julius Caesar. It's like the saga of Judas and Christ, juxtaposed over the medium of professional wrestling." His language was particularly grandiose after a few Mojitos, it seemed. Ever since he'd arrived in America he'd made a point of proving to everybody how intelligent and well educated he is, hoping this distinction would elevate him beyond the hundreds of generic wrestling masks that currently flood the market. In the end it was his superb in-ring performances which brought him near to the top, as he found a home on American televisions as part of TNA Wrestling. There'd been rumors of a major push in the pipeline for him. But suddenly he found himself unemployed and in a rut. As to whether Billy Corgan's involvement in TNA had anything to do with this is unknown, and Tiger was unwilling to say either way.

Extreme Tiger always wears his mask in public.

Here he is in the local garden center, shopping for compost.

"It's not the first time the trained monkeys at TNA have done a u-turn that made no sense, and it won't be the last. I wrestled for them years ago. Even back then it was like all the decisions were being made by retarded children on crack. I know how frustrating it can be when they make you all these wonderful promises, then piss off and do something completely different." I had no beef with TNA for not renewing my contract. I was glad to be out, to be honest. My so-called 'mentor' at the time, Shane Douglas, had been let go the same day. His reaction was to call every member of TNA's management and threaten to kidnap their children. Granted, he's an extreme example, but TNA have a history of letting people down and making enemies. They'd done a fine job on Tiger by the sound of it.

"Under the lure of false pretenses and empty promises I sold my home and moved my whole family to this ridiculous country. I had elevated myself to a point of considerable success in Mexico, but risked it all based on the fabulous dream those charlatans sold me. Then they cut my throat and left me stranded. One day I was on national television. The next I was unemployed, disgracefully rejected like some common peasant or serf." He was angry, but had a sad and defeated tone which I'd never heard from him until now. "I'm surprised your phone wasn't ringing off the hook with offers of work though? Surely there's hundreds of indie feds throughout America that'd kill for a guy with your talents? Plus your short time with TNA made you fairly well known?" I said, scratching my head. I wasn't kissing his ass - I was genuinely baffled why he'd ended up here. We were literally the least prestigious wrestling company in the whole country, if not the world.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Extreme_Tiger4.jpg

You gotta love the internet.

"Lord only knows what vile slanders have been uttered about me by their serpentine tongues. Ours is an industry rife with rumor and innuendo. Since my undignified removal from that absurd company, it is as if my good name were now toxic. I am like a leper. I thank you again, Ruben, for your employment. As we agreed, I hope I can use my time with your company to elevate myself again, and to return to my beloved Mexico in good standing." He slurped the last of his cocktail, licking the wet residue off his lips, and looking an awfully like a real tiger while doing so. "I watched the footage of our last event recently. You and Ty Hagen pretty much stole the show out there. Hagen was struggling to look good against anybody recently, but your match together was awesome. Just one question though - at one point you climbed the top rope and screamed 'su cerveza huele a pis!' Apparently that means 'your beer smells like piss'? You then later screamed the words 'mi hámster se está muriendo' - meaning 'my hamster is dying'? What's all that about?!"

Tiger laughed for the first time all day. I was nice to see him lighten up. I've known him for years but only seen him smile once or twice. He's an intense and very serious kinda guy to say the least. "My wife informs me that present circumstances have reduced my normally jovial character to that of a dull bore. She indicated an uplift in my emotional state is in urgent need. I supposed that allowing myself a little enjoyment during my tenure with your company would lighten my spirits. The spectators at American wrestling shows are such mindless dolts. Their infantile, neanderthal minds suppose that Mexicans are dirty, lesser creatures at worst, and figures of fun and mirth at best. I intend to extract a measure of revenge for this cultural ignorance by... as you Yanks say... rubbing it in their faces."

"So, let me get this straight. You're lightening your mood by taking the piss out of our drunken fans? Your plan is to yell the most idiotic, random crap you can, in Spanish, to see whether the fans will cheer you for it?" I couldn't help but laugh. It was kinda mean on our rabid, crazy followers, but I really liked the idea. "Yes" said Tiger. "My wife and I have a wager, infact." We both laughed at this. It was good to catch up with an old friend, even if he was down on his luck. With an easier mood, we got talking about old times, laughing and joking about some of the crazy shit we've seen down the years. Given how wacky the world of pro wrestling is, there was plenty for us to talk about. Suddenly our conversation was interrupted by a phone call. My cousin Swedish Dave was desperate to get hold of me, it seemed, having left 8 voicemails already on my phone.

"That lousy skinhead bastard is at it again, Ruben. I can't believe we have to put up with that total asshole!" Screamed the normally laid back Swedish. I asked him what the matter was. "It's bad enough that prick Benny D borrowed my car without asking. But I got home from a webcam session a few minutes ago and... Christ Ruben I can't even put it to words. You'd better get your ass down here and look at this!" He hung up, too angry to talk any longer. I apologized to Tiger, telling him there was an emergency. He offered to help. With Benny D involved, I felt I needed all the help I could get. We hopped into a taxi and sped to see what had happened...

The one where a man loses his warranty

RTG: Sweet Revenge Pre Show, Part 2: "I Didn't F**k The Goat!"

"Well, I wasn't prepared for that" I said to Swedish Dave wish exasperation. I stood there stunned, scratching my head. Extreme Tiger had his mouth open wide in disbelief. Mickey D, who had arrived on the scene moments after us, had his eyes wide open as if the scene before him were some bizarre hallucination. Swedish Dave was well beyond the disbelief stage, and was busy losing his shit and screaming at everyone. Benny D, the alleged culprit, was nowhere to be seen. It was one of those situations where even the most cultured and skillful wordsmith could not do the scene justice. It was a situation that I would have dismissed as bullshit had someone told me about it as a story. But no, it was real enough. I took a photo to prove it:

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Car_Upside_Down.jpg

"Swedish, why in the name of Jesus H Christ did you lend my son a vehicle? Are you out of your mind?" Mickey D inquired, wondering aloud if Swedish was as stupid as he looks. Let's just say Dave reacted poorly. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?! I WOULDN'T LEND THAT RETARD A DOLLAR, LET ALONE MY GOD-DAMN CAR! YOUR NO-GOOD DEGENERATE SON STOLE THE KEYS FROM MY POCKET! NOW LOOK WHAT'S HAPPENED!" Were this a cartoon he'd have had steam shooting out his ears. Mickey D, the closest thing our crappy little town has to a gangster, seemed scared - the first time I'd ever seen that. He motioned for Swedish to calm down, waiting until the crimson color had vanished from the former porn-star's face before responding. "Okay Swedish, let my people take care of this. Within the hour all traces of the car will vanish. You will then report it stolen. I have people in the insurance companies. I'll make sure you're compensated with a car exceeding the value of this one. Just make sure my son's name stays the hell away from the ears of the police, you understand? I can't stress that last part enough."

Dave seemed partly satisfied with that, and calmed down a little more. He was still tetchy though. He turned to me with an angry scowl. "I want that bastard punished, Rubie. We can't have that nasty piece of garbage getting away with this. Everyone hates him. He's threatened to kill Dixie on more than one occasion. We can't be in the same dressing room as him because his farts are literally toxic. He smells worse than your apartment. I'm pretty sure that asshole's some kind of psychopath. And now this. You gotta fire the prick, Ruben. He's a cancer." I was about to speak, when Mickey D cut me off.

"Ruben, this is a free country, and whatever you do is your choice. RTG Wrestling is your company, and I cannot dictate to you how to run it. But may I remind you that as sponsor I am financing your whole operation. I've seen RTG's books, Rubie, you'd be bankrupt in two months without me. I agreed to such a generous package in condition that you take my son under your employment. Since you did he's only been arrested three times, which is a record low. If you fire him, our deal terminates immediately, and this unusual little company of yours hits the skids. However, it's up to you how you handle the situation." He looked at me for a long time without blinking. I turned to Swedish Dave, who'd stopped blinking also. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. There was no right answer here.

"Mickey, if I don't do something drastic here all my people will revolt. The company will be dead anyway if I don't punish him. Okay, look, I can't fire him. But he's fined his whole wage for the rest of the year. No, scrap that, he's fined his whole wage until the end of time. No way am I paying that degenerate to make everyone's life a living hell. He can stay working for us, but you're paying for it, Mickey. And if he messes up like this again, I can't be held accountable for what others may do to him." Mickey D was not pleased. "Is that a threat, Rubie? You know better than to make threats against a man like me, a man with my connections." I sighed. "No Mickey, I'm not threatening you. I'm just letting you know, from one friend to another, that Rachel Summerlyn is one incident away from tearing off Benny D's dick and flushing it down the toilet." That last part made Swedish laugh for the first time all day. Mickey D began to laugh too. Even the super-serious Extreme Tiger let off a chuckle. "Let's check to make sure there's nothing valuable in the car before my people drop it in the river" said Mickey. I was glad the hostility was gone. This lighter mood was a blessing. The shit had very nearly hit the fan. We walked to what was left of the car and opened her up. And... this was inside...

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Goat.jpg

BAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

"HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" Swedish Dave screamed with all the bravery of a little girl seeing a ghost for the first time. He nearly wet himself with fright. Extreme Tiger was smiling. "Es una cabara" said the masked Mexican, helpfully. "Mickey why in the name of God has your son kidnapped a goat?! Why the hell is there a goat in my car?! That weird, twisted bastard has actually stolen a goat! What the hell's the matter with him?!" I was an English major. But I lack the vocabulary to properly describe to you the look on Swedish Dave's face. Mankind will literally have to go back to the drawing board to invent one. He looked like his head was about to explode. "Let's ask him" said Mickey D, pulling out his cell phone and making the call.

"Benny? Did you borrow Swedish's car?" Mickey asked, in the tone of a father telling off a toddler for spilling it's milk. "It was an accident Daddy! Me and the boys were out drinking this afternoon. Just a few little beers, yeah? And... those foreign cars never work right! I was driving along when BOOM! Next thing I know that Japanese piece of crap he calls a car is upside down in a ditch! I was going to tell Swedish what happened but I forgot my phone. So I panicked, okay? I dragged the wreckage of his piece of shit car back to his house. I wanted to apologize to him like you taught me to, I really did. But when I knocked on his door nobody was home. So I left him a little note saying sorry." Benny D's apology was the most embarrassingly feeble thing I'd heard since Clinton apologized on TV for the Monica Lewinsky thing. "Left me a note?!" Screamed Swedish Dave. "The bastard spray painted it on the side of my car! What the hell's the matter with him?!" Mickey D cleared his throat, and tried to put on his most serious tone. "That reminds me, Benny... why in the blue hell is there a goat in the back of this car?" The line went silent. So Mickey asked again. "Benny, answer me boy. I need you to explain to me why there is an actual, living goat in the back of this car. What the hell have you been up to?!"

"I didn't f**k the goat!" Benny screamed in a mad panic, tears clearly audible in his voice. He yelped like a frightened dog before panicingly hanging up. We all burst out into laughter, even Tiger who claimed to not speak English. It was the kind of bizarre, freaky situation that could only ever come about when the wacky world of pro wrestling meets a weird little town like ours. What started out as an incident that could've driven us apart, ended up as a situation which brought us closer together. Christ only knows what the future will hold for RTG - but I doubt it'll ever be stranger than this...

P.S. The car was easy to get rid of, but what do you do when you find a goat? In the end, Father Milo Augustini kindly agreed to keep it. He lets the local children pet it and feed it. Eventually Benny The Goat would become something of a mascot for the whole parish. Milo knew better than to ask where the goat came from. We knew better than to tell him.

P.P.S. For what's it's worth, I do believe Benny. He probably didn't f**k the goat. Suffice to say nobody was scared of the thug Benny D any more after this day. In hindsight, I wonder if Vince McMahon ever had to deal with a situation like this?

Shakespearean Tiger sounds like an awesome name for a Lucha. I like it.

The magic Chad thing is genuine by the way, he really does all that stuff.

Thanks for reading, glad you're enjoying the segments and characters. I'm having a lot of fun with this. There's so many characters I've booked for years but never gave the push their talents deserved. Stryker, Daniels, Kim, Youth, Collyer etc have been fixtures on TEW and in my feds for over a decade but never made it big with me, because I could never figure out what to do with them. It's great fun finally bringing these guys to life.

The one where the writer clearly goes overboard with his Photoshop

RTG: Sweet Revenge - Results

The hot days of summer were long gone as our show began, with temperatures dropping to a bitter low. Winter is pretty much here now, which makes promoting a wrestling show in an outdoor venue a particularly dumbass idea. We blamed the cold weather for the drop in attendance, with only 35 fans showing up. Fortunately they didn't start setting fires to keep warm, but that's probably just because they were too drunk to think of it. I'm glad there were no shenanigans though, as this turned out to be our best show to date...

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

A pissed off Jerrelle Clark started with a promo where he cursed referee Bill Clark for making a mistake which cost him his dreams of winning the RTG World Trophy. Footage clearly showed Clark's feet on the ropes, but the ref didn't see this, prompting a shit-storm of hatred via social media from Jerrelle's fans. Clark called out our authority Father Milo Augustini, demanding the hapless official be fired. Milo explained this can't happen, as we can only afford one referee and we can't have a show tonight without him. That means he can't be suspended either. Milo understood how heartbroken Jerrelle was, that winning the Trophy could have transformed Clark's career. Milo, who'd had enough wine to kill a normal man, thought it would be funny to punish our young ref by making him Clark's servant for the night. Bill must do everything Jerrelle tells him to - and if he doesn't, he'll never referee in RTG again! The fans loved it. Angle rating: 39.

Jerrelle Clark & Nooie Lee vs F.U (ZZ Hook & Matt Stryker w/ Javi Air)

One of the talking points from last time was how old tag team partners Jerrelle Clark and Nooie Lee are working together again. Back when they tore up the Florida indie scene together they were known as '2 Fast, 2 Furious' but that name sucks balls. Besides, the shady Hollywood studio that made that crappy movie would probably sue us to death if we used it. So it's just 'Clark and Lee' for now, until we can think up a name that doesn't suck. They faced ZZ Hook and Matt Stryker from the newly formed F.U. (Fighter's Union) who wore black leather trenchcoats and black F.U tshirts throughout the match. The fans picked up on Stryker's new goatee right away, singing "you look like a rapist! You look like a rapist" over and over again. He didn't like that. Their newest member Javi Air prowled around at ringside and was a constant source of distraction throughout. Lee and Clark's superb chemistry as a team put them in control for much of the bout, but Stryker's excellent technical work quickly cancelled out their high flying antics once he was tagged in. Javi pulled Nooie out the ring and DDT'd him on the concrete, leaving Jerrelle outnumbered 3 to 1. Using his newly acquired powers, Clark commanded that the referee send Javi to the back. While the ref dragged Javi away to the backstage, Jerrelle evened the score with a steel chair, laying Hook out cold. He was about to do the same to Stryker, but missed with his swing. Stryker then dropkicked the chair into Jerrelle's face, flooring him. Stryker kicked the chair out the ring and latched on a brutal Cloverleaf submission. By the time the referee was back in the ring, Jerrelle was nearly passed out from the pain. Clark had no choice but to tap - this didn't stop him being any less furious about the result though. Clark's cheating antics backfired on him here, and he seemed keen to take it out on his new servant referee.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Matt Stryker and ZZ Hook defeated the team formerly known as 2 Fast, 2 Furious in 12:46 when Matt Stryker nearly broke Jerrelle Clark in half with a submission hold. Match rating: 34.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Clark went ballistic, swinging at the referee who ran for his life, cowering from the safety of ringside. Jerrelle was about to go after him and deliver an ass-kicking when his partner Nooie, having recovered from his DDT, talked him out of it. Immediately Jerrelle's anger was replaced with that huge, cocky, shit-eating grin of his. Jerrelle remembered he had control of the referee all night, so decided to have some fun in gaining revenge. He told our ref Bill Clark that he wasn't fit to wear the striped shirt of an official. He ordered Bill to trade shirts with a member of the audience. At first, our proud ref refused, but when Jerrelle reminded him that he'd be fired if he didn't, he had no choice. Bill was forced to wear this monstrosity for the next few matches... Angle rating: 31.

All referees should dress like this.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

I was up next with my partner in crime for tonight Chad Collyer. We cut a decent promo reminding the fans that we'd be facing Aaron Draven tonight, plus a mystery partner of his choice. I insulted Draven about his height (or lack thereof), speculating that he had a lucrative sideline moonlighting for WWE as El Torito. I got some more verbal cheap shots in before Collyer tired of the games and interrupted me: "Let's cut the crap Draven. Everyone knows you're gonna pick Ty Hagen as your partner tonight. I saw you two clowns talking backstage. It's the obvious choice. Even the fans know you're picking Hagen tonight, and they're the stupidest God-damned fans I ever wrestled in front of. So let's cut the nonsense - both of you get your asses out here now!" Draven and Hagen were happy to oblige, hitting the ring to lay a beating on us. We exited the ring just in time. Before they could dive on us, I grabbed the mic back off Chad and reminded Draven that I have the power to choose who he fights for the rest of the year. I decided to be a dick, and declared he must fight his own partner Ty Hagen! Right now! Angle rating: 38.

'Omega' Aaron Draven vs Ty Hagen

Because The Champ Says So.

Despite (allegedly) teaming up in tonight's main event, these two were eager to go at it, keen to put on a show for the fans. The match was clearly scripted down to the smallest detail, with many parts which could only have happened with lots of prior practice. It was still a fun bout though and the fans seemed to enjoy it. Draven's high flying bonded well with Hagen's decent all-round skills and it served as a nice appetizer for their main match tonight. Naturally I used this as an opportunity to interfere, laying out Draven with a Spinning Tombstone Piledriver mid-match, just to remind everyone I'm the bad guy. Despite this Draven still finished strong for the win. The two friends shook hands and hugged after, but it was clear this match had taken it out of them. With both men badly bruised and breathing heavy, would fighting once already reduce their chance of winning later on? I was banking on it.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Aaron Draven defeated Ty Hagen in 10:26 by pinfall with an OmegaWave. During the match we also had Ruben T Garrison attack Aaron Draven. Match rating: 30.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Tired of all the fun and games, Chad Collyer was clearly not in a patient mood. Having watched his opponents dismantle each other from ringside, he wasted no time in getting on the mic and calling out his hated enemy Tommy Kim. Tommy was quick to answer the call, but looked like a dead man walking as he hobbled slowly to the ring. He was physically in pieces, barely able to stand. It was obvious Collyer's gauntlet was having a huge effect. Kim was too proud for his own good though, swinging at Collyer who dodged the punch with ease, moving to the corner. Kim ran at him with a vicious-looking dropkick. As Chad moved out the way, Kim hit the steel corner post with a sickening thud, collapsing in a broken heap on the floor. That's when the screaming started. Immediately Father Milo, our road agent Rachel Summerlyn and a couple of others ran to his aid. All wore bleak looks of concern as Kim was finally stretchered from the ring - all except Collyer, that is, who seemed to feed off Kim's pain and suffering. His smile was the most sadistic I've ever seen. Father Milo was extremely sad as he announced that Kim was obviously unable to fight for the #1 contender's spot, declaring that anyone not already wrestling tonight could now fight for Kim's place. Half the locker-room wanted in, but only four were allowed to fight. Angle rating: 40.

Johnny Riggs vs Stallyn Smith vs Benjamin Bray vs Dixie

Winner To Face Javi Air In A #1 Contender's Bout

Having been gifted a huge and unexpected opportunity, all four of these men were extremely keen to take advantage. As a result this was an evenly contested bout for most of it's run-time with each man given time to show off their skills. Eventually though it seemed Johnny Riggs would prevail, as he floored all 3 of his opponents in turn with a variety of spectacular moves. A Riggs Rotation on Benjamin Bray seemed to seal the deal. That is, until the Fighter's Union came to the ring. Clearly they had a huge interest in this match, with the winner to face their member Javi Air next. It was plain to see F.U weren't happy at the prospect of Javi having to face the highly energetic Johnny Riggs. They stormed the ring, kicking the living crap out of him. It was a good, old-fashioned beat-down. They finally left after what seemed like an eternity of punishment, leaving Riggs out cold. Bray was closest to where the un-moving Riggs lay, and despite being hurt, managed to climb on for the pin.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Benjamin Bray defeated Johnny Riggs, Dixie and Stallyn Smith in 10:41 when Benjamin Bray pinned Johnny Riggs. During the match we also saw ZZ Hook run in and attack Johnny Riggs, and Matt Stryker also attack Johnny Riggs. Match rating: 34.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

After throwing Riggs, Smith and Dixie from the ring as if they were trash, the so-called Fighters Union got on the mic to gloat. They cut a promo saying how their newest member Javi Air is transforming his circumstances under their watchful eye. They said it was no coincidence that mere minutes after joining them, Javi was suddenly in line for the #1 contenders spot. They then extended an offer to all of RTG, saying the fortunes of others could also be elevated in the same way. "This is the future of wrestling" announced Hook "and if you don't like it, FU!" Angle rating: 29.

Javi Air (w/ Matt Stryker & ZZ Hook) vs Benjamin Bray

#1 Contenders Match

Benjamin Bray was in serious trouble as this match began, clearly exhausted having already fought off 3 men just moments earlier. His fresh opponent Javi took full advantage, throwing Bray about the ring like a rag doll. For long stretches of the match Javi enjoyed total domination. For the first time in his RTG career he was on top in an important match, and clearly loved every second of the limelight. Whether it was because his opponent was at such a disadvantage, or whether he wanted to prove himself as a singles competitor, Javi insisted his comrades in F.U not interfere. This proved to be his downfall. As he shouted at Stryker and Hook for trying to intervene, he didn't hear Bray sneaking up behind him with a quick Schoolboy Pin...

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Benjamin Bray defeated Javi-Air in 10:09 by pinfall. Match rating: 33.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Javi was pissed off at himself for letting victory slip through his fingers, screaming vile insults at Bray in a display of petulant temper. As his allies Hook and Stryker got into the ring, he yelled at them to avenge him, demanding they put a beating on Bray. They just smiled. Bray slowly climbed to his feet, battered and beaten, but smiling too. Javi looked extremely confused. Suddenly Hook marched over, shaking Bray's hand and raising it into the air. The crowd's reaction was mixed - half booing, half cheering - as Stryker handed him his very own black leather trenchcoat and custom F.U tshirt. Bray was beaming with delight as he put them on and posed with his new friends. Everyone was happy except Javi, who was clearly furious. Angle rating: 33.

Derek Frazier vs Reckless Youth (w/ Josh Daniels)

Fans of Josh Daniels have been in a celebratory mood since it was announced a few days ago he will be returning to action. Having begun rehabilitation on his injured back and neck earlier this month, the prognosis has been encouraging. Doctors claim he could be fighting again as soon as January next year. For now though there was still the score to settle with Derek Frazier, the asshole responsible for those injuries. Daniels' friend Reckless Youth fought Frazier last month and won, but only due to Josh's interference. Father Milo granted a rematch under the "cheaters never prosper" heading. And Frazier was keen to avenge a defeat which hurt his pride beyond words. Frazier swarmed all over Daniels from the offset, using the same in-and-out high speed attacks which nearly won him the first encounter. For a while it worked, but clearly Youth had learned from his mistakes, and countered with stiff submissions. Youth then beat down Frazier with moves that clearly nodded towards the highly physical Puro style of Japan, nearly cutting his foe in half on numerous occasions. It seemed this ultra-stiff fighting approach had bought him another victory, with a huge Michinoku Driver which shook the whole ring... until a twist came from an unusual source. Jerrelle Clark had reappeared at ringside before the bout to heckle and boo our unfortunate referee, who still wore the horrific Hawaiian shirt he'd been forced into earlier. Our fans had been merciless in taunting the ref ever since, and our proud official was growing furious. Jerrelle, seemed unhappy at not being center of attention, and pulled the referee out the ring mid-count. Clark then said our referee lacked the guts and heart needed to be a man, let alone a top official. He then produced a new outfit which he insisted our guy wear, which he said was more appropriate. Forced to do as he was told or be fired, RTG's only official had no choice...

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Bill_Clark_Dress.jpg

Lovely.

The fans ate it up, thinking this impromptu costume change hilarious. Unfortunately so did Reckless Youth, who despite shouts from Josh Daniels to stay focused, stopped what he was doing to watch these bizarre scenes. With the referee and his opponent both distracted, Frazier showed a total lack of class, hitting Youth with not one... not two... not even three... but eight blatant low blows. This swung the match firmly in his favor. Frazier used every underhanded tactic he could to keep things going his way. The ref was so humiliated that his mind was clearly elsewhere, causing him to miss many of Frazier's dirty tricks. Frazier finally capitalized with his Discharge Driver finisher, followed by a roll-up and a handful of tights. Despite the protests of Daniels and Youth, it was Frazier who got his arm raised in victory. A great match, even with the comedic interruption in the middle.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Derek Frazier defeated Reckless Youth in 17:30 by pinfall with a Discharge Driver. Match rating: 54.

The fans, in great spirits having clearly enjoyed the previous match, were on their feet as our authority Milo Augustini got into the ring to unveil the next contender for the RTG Invitational Title. Speculation was rife as to which legendary athlete would go toe-to-toe with our champion Extreme Tiger. Milo announced that tonight's opponent came from "a legendary wrestling family" and was "perhaps the most potentially gifted warrior on the planet". He went on to say he would personally mentor this fine, blue-chip prospect. But who could it be? Our champ Tiger came to the ring, jumping up and down in excited anticipation. Finally Father Milo announced the RTG debut of... drumroll please... Angle rating: 42.

Extreme Tiger © vs Al Magz Jr

For The RTG Invitational Title

The crowd were bewildered. It wasn't the excessive booze consumption which caused their confusion, or a lack of wrestling knowledge. They summed it up nicely when they chanted "who the f**k is this?! Who the f**k is this" over and over again. Tiger offered a shrug. Even the referee, costume and all, was scratching his head as to who the hell this guy was. Only our smart-ass announcer Swedish Dave knew, thanks to his geeky encyclopedic wrestling wisdom. He explained how Al Magz Sr had been the perhaps the most prolific jobber in wrestling history, having finished his career with a record of 1082 losses against 1 solitary win. Because of this he'd become something of a legend among wrestling fans of the late 90s. A cult figure. And so here he was, Al Magz Jr, son of the biggest loser in wrestling history. The crowd's apathy soon turned to warmth, and then to love, however. Despite not getting in a single offensive move for the majority of this (short) bout, Magz finally landed a clean punch, which Tiger sold with all the impact of a bee sting. Magz was elated though, leaping out the ring and running through the crowd in frenzied celebration. The fans wore genuine smiles as he ran about and high-fived all 35 of them. Even our commentary team got hugs. Referee Bill Clark smiled for the first time all night. Sure he could've counted Magz Jr out a dozen times over. But like the rest of us he just enjoyed a heart-warming moment. Finally he found his way back into the ring. Tiger hit a Top Rope Clothesline for the easiest win of his career. But the real winner was our new no-hope lovable loser Al Magz, who seems to have melted the icy-cold hearts of our bloodthirsty fans.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Extreme Tiger defeated Al Magz Jr in 5:55 by pinfall, with most of that match filled with Magz running about, hollering and cheering. Extreme Tiger makes defence number 1 of his RTG Invitational Title title. Match rating: 45.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Even the most drunken of our fans could tell Magz wasn't the main Invitational opponent tonight. Father Milo got back in the ring, thanking Tiger for giving a young new talent a moment in the spotlight. Augustini blamed himself for Al's loss, saying he had put too much pressure on RTG's latest signing. Our resident Man Of God asked Al for forgiveness, saying he would match him more carefully in future. Having given Magz Jr the biggest hug ever, Milo went on to announce who Extreme Tiger's other opponent would be tonight. The lights went out, rock music blared, and a highly talented contender came to the ring for a shot at the gold... Angle rating: 49.

Extreme Tiger © vs Josh Prohibition

For The RTG Invitational Title

My money had been on Frazier vs Youth as match of the night, but many fans thought this one stole the show. Given the considerable talent of the two men involved, it was no surprise people liked it so much. Both these guys told a clear story in the ring. Both had plenty of chances to show off moves which I thought were impossible outside the pages of Marvel comics. Prohibition hit his signature moves the Path of Resistance and the Sobriety Driver for close falls, along with variations on the T-Bone Suplex I'd never imagined were physically possible. Tiger's moves were as spectacular as you'd expect from one of Mexico's finest who'd been trained by Rey Mysterio Jr. The crowd buzzed at the sight of his Spanish Fly and loved it when he screamed "mi esposa podría patear el culo" before a Guilloutina Suicida. He then yelled "me encanta la carne de cerdo" in mid-air during Double Jump Moonsault, with the fans chanting those words over and over despite having no clue what the hell they meant. Something to do with a pig I think. The fans loved it, and unlike so many pointless spot-fests you see online these days, this one actually had a flow to it. The result was a match which would've pleased any wrestling fan, far exceeding the standards some would expect from a fed our size. The fans shouted "Arriba!" as Tiger launched into a beautiful 450 Splash for the win, though both came out of this looking great.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Extreme Tiger defeated Josh Prohibition in 15:23 by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Extreme Tiger makes defence number 2 of his RTG Invitational Title title. Match rating: 57.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Finally it was time for our main event. Turns out Collyer was right, Draven and Hagen did indeed team up to face us. They came out beforehand to insult us, much to the delight of our crowd who were still buzzing from the previous high-flying display. Hagen said I was the worst champion in wrestling today, and that my RTG World Trophy reign was a disgrace compared to his RTG Invitational Title reign. He called me a disgrace to the sport and to fans everywhere. Draven said I was a coward and a cheat, and that I'd only held on to the trophy this long due to be being a "spineless, yellow, chickenshit weasel". Chad and I then came out to answer back. I agreed with Draven, saying I had indeed used dirty tricks to stay on top. I then pointed out that every great champion did whatever was necessary to keep hold of the gold, citing examples like Ric Flair who - let's face it - were allergic to clean wins. Chad Collyer said he hoped Hagen and Draven would remember the image of Tommy Kim being stretchered away, as the same fate was about to be inflicted upon them. Pretty standard stuff, but a lot of fun. Angle rating: 44.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Hagen got pissed off at Chad's comments, with him and Kim being pretty close - and he dived at Collyer in a fit of rage. Referee Bill Clark, still in the ridiculous outfit Jerrelle had forced him to wear, tried to get between them. He got his leg tangled in the outfit, however, and collapsed to the floor like a puppet with its strings cut. The fans burst out into deafening laughter - even though there were only 35 fans in the stands, the noise they made in mocking our official was deafening. Bill Clark went bright red, throwing down the ludicrous dress he'd been forced into. He then grabbed the microphone and screamed into it "enough of this crap! Nothing is worth this! Jerrelle Clark, you asshole, this is too much! Augustini can shove this job up his priestly ass! I quit!". With that he stormed off to the back in a rage. Jerrelle, still watching from ringside, looked upset. With RTG's only match official now AWOL, there was nobody left to referee the main event. Finally Father Milo agreed to step in as special guest referee, but told Jerrelle there'd be hell to pay for the mess he'd created. Angle rating: 40.

Ruben T Garrison & Chad Collyer vs Aaron Draven & Ty Hagen

Grudge Tag Match, With Father Milo Augustini As Special Referee

From the opening bell it was clear Draven and Hagen's match early on had taken a lot out of them. They were still bruised from their encounter, and lacked the sharpness and speed that fresh competitors would bring. My little plan of making them fight each other earlier on had clearly worked. As a result me and my partner in crime controlled the first half, tagging regularly to overwhelm Draven. Every time he got close to a hot tag we'd drag him back, beat the crap out of him in the corner, double team, tag, then repeat. As a result Draven took a tremendous beating, especially when Collyer got hold of him. Collyer couldn't give a rat's ass about either of his opponents tonight, but used the match to send a message to Kim. In doing so he nearly tore Draven's legs clear off his body with an Elevated Sharpshooter. He nearly cracked the poor bastard's spine with a brutal Bow & Arrow Lock. And the Torture Rack he did looked as if would have killed a lesser man. Hagen ran into the ring to save his partner, but was stopped by Father Milo, who ensured the rules were followed to the letter - without the tag he wouldn't let Ty step one foot in the ring.

We were dominating until Collyer put Draven in a Full Nelson, holding him up for me to hit him. I worked the body with punches, then bounced off the ropes, following up with a huge dropkick. Unfortunately Draven managed to wriggle free, ducked, and I damn near cut Collyer in half. The vindictive veteran got back to his feet with a scowl. He touched his nose, noting with great displeasure a stream of blood that now dripped from it. He threw back his hand as if for a punch, but changed his mind. Clearly he had other revenge in mind. Instead of kicking my ass, he grabbed the broken Draven and threw him into the turnbuckles next to Hagen. As Draven collapsed lifelessly to the canvas, our former Invitational Champion made the tag and charged in, ready for action. Instead of fighting, however, Collyer grabbed me by the hair and threw me into the ring. Collyer then casually rolled out and walked off, laughing all the way to the back. With the crowd behind him and singing his name, Hagen dragged me to the canvas, splatting me with vicious punches Ground & Pound style like an MMA Fighter. From then on I was screwed.

Hagen hit me with every move he knows, each time raising his fists in the air in a mock display of victory. After what felt like an eternity of pain, Draven was finally recovered enough to get in on the action. They took turns kicking my ass. They could have pinned me a dozen times but kept on beating me down, much to the crowd's utter delight. Draven was getting revenge and thrived on it - you could tell he'd craved this satisfaction for months. Things came to a head when Hagen locked me in his painful Veri-Tap finisher, while Draven simultaneously hit an OmegaWave. Father Milo had seen enough, and demanded they put me out of my misery. Draven, happier than I think I've ever seen him, did a simple cover for the win. The crowd jumped up and down in excitement. Hagen and Draven high-fived in celebration. I rolled out and hid under the ring until everyone had gone home and I could lick my wounds in privacy. Draven had gotten a much-needed victory here tonight, swinging the momentum in our feud back in his direction. Yes I was still champ, and yes Draven was no closer to the title glory he so badly craved, but you could tell tonight's victory meant everything to him. And to the fans too.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Aaron Draven and Ty Hagen defeated Ruben T Garrison and Chad Collyer in 15:11 when Aaron Draven defeated Ruben T Garrison by pinfall with an OmegaWave. Match rating: 53.

The one that starts off silly, but gets real serious real quick

RTG: Sweet Revenge - Post-Show

"So are we good guys or bad guys?" Javi asked, adding a huge fistful of styling gel to his hair and combing it through. "That's for the fans to decide" I answered. "Basically I'm gonna sit you guys right on the fence, hopefully balancing that fine line between Heel and Face, so the fans can't figure out whether you're good or evil. I'll decide based on whether they cheer you or throw stuff at you. If in a couple of months time the fans are trying to kill you, we'll know which side you're on." I could probably have phrased that better.

"Well I think we look BADASS!" Yelled ZZ Hook enthusiastically. "I mean what says 'bad motherf**ker' better than a black leather trenchcoat?! I look like Blade! Wesley Snipes got nothin' on me man! I got that kick-ass vampire bounty hunter look going on! Yeeeeeeah!" This was pretty standard vocabulary for Hook, who at any time, or any given situation, fluctuates rapidly between 'Superhumanly Enthusiastic' and 'Psychotically Hyperactive'. He doesn't shake hands, he high-fives. He doesn't drive a car, because they're not loud enough, so he travels about on the loudest Harley money can buy. He finds Bungee Jumping relaxing, and says that jumping out of airplanes 'gives him time to unwind'. He's that kinda guy. He'd come to the ring on fire and riding a T-Rex if it were possible. He reminds me of Billy Idol, but older-looking and without the hair.

"Glad you like the coats, guys. We had Benny D steal them from that crate round the back of Hot Topic." I said, quietly relieved that the new direction had gone down well. They seemed happy with their new threads. Unlike WWE, TNA and the other major players, we don't have a Costume Department. We can barely afford our own clothes, let alone fancy outfits. So sure, these guys might look like The Undertaker circa 2001, but it's the best we could do. The main thing was to ensure these guys looked completely different to how they did before F.U - it's like a transformation from their old character into the new. That's why Matt Stryker grew that beard. That's why Benny Bray's cut off most of that luscious, shampoo-commercial hair of his. Javi Air has started slicking back his hair to look more like one of his idols Razor Ramon. ZZ Hook got a new tongue piercing for the occasion, and waves it about like some kind of retarded Gene Simmons whenever a camera is near. Change of attitude = change of looks. It seemed to be working okay so far.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/FU.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/ZZ_Hook_FU.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Matt_Stryker_FU.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Benjamin_Bray_FU.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Javi_Air_FU.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/FU.jpg

Dressed like The Matrix but on a much, much lower budget.

"I noticed the spray-paint motif on the t-shirts" observed Bray. "Does this mean we're gonna be spray-painting our initials on everything like the nWo did?" I smiled. The idea hadn't occurred to me but I wish it had. "We'll wait and see. I don't want to steal too much from other companies. The spray tagging was such a distinctly nWo thing that even our drunken fans would recognize it right away. I'll think it over and get back to you" was my answer. I tried my best to look thoughtful and intelligent while I was talking. Clearly it didn't work. "You mean, you're gonna wait and see whether that crazy bastard Benny D can steal you any spray paint, coz you're too damn poor to buy some?!" ZZ Hook joked. He wasn't wrong.

Everyone laughed. Slowly they all packed up their stuff and headed out the door. As I said my goodbyes, I asked Benny Bray to stay behind a little, to chat. I waited until it was just me and him, before handing him a beer and having a conversation I'd wanted to have for a long time. "Benny. With this new push we're finally getting you up to the level where you need to be. You're close to the top now, or you hopefully will be with this F.U angle. I need you to promise me something though." Bray looked curious. "What? Anything, Rubie. I'm loving my time here in RTG - if there's something I can do for you, just say." I waited for him to take a big swig of his drink before coming to my point.

"You really need to stiffen up your work, Ben. It's been a problem since day one. You've got great moves and good fundamentals, and have the ability to go far. The problem is you look like you're afraid to break a nail out there. Your offense looks like it couldn't bust an egg. It makes your whole moveset look less believable. I need you to look like you could be a real danger out there now, Benny. You have to be much more of a physical threat. The fans won't buy you as a credible challenge unless you make it look like your moves actually hurt." He looked so sad when I told him this. I was prepared for him being offended, but he gave me a look like he was about to cry. His eyes welled up with tears and everything. It took him a while to regain his composure before he could answer me.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Benjamin_Bray2.jpg

Bray back in his OVW days, before he had hair like a rock star.

It wasn't long after this photo was taken that the incident happened.

"I don't tell people this, Rubie. But I quit the business after my time in Ohio Valley Wrestling. I was done with this wretched God-damned business. Everyone assumed I quit because I never got the call-up to WWE, or that I'd had some kind of run-in with Vince or something. It wasn't any of that though. I'd never expected to be some big shot WWE superstar, I was just happy for the chance to be in their development fed, to improve and learn. I loved it. When it ended I wasn't bitter, I'd just been happy for the chance. The very next day I was wrestling in some tiny company - even smaller than this one - and was against some young kid called Rodriguez. He must've been 18 years old, tops. We did a spot where he'd come in for a Top Rope Splash, and I was gonna drop-kick him in mid-air." He stopped again, genuinely welling up with tears. I'd never seen him emotional like this.

"Long story short, we blew the spot. I kicked him too hard and he flew backwards, landed right on his head. The ref panicked, told me to pin him, did the fastest count I ever saw. I didn't know what the hell was going on, but the referee looked as if he'd seen a ghost. Turns out this Rogriguez kid was hurt. Badly. They stretchered him off, straight into an ambulance. I never saw him again. I heard that the impact had fused 3 of the discs in his back and damaged the nerves. His neck was messed up real good too. He never wrestled again, and had to be rehabilitated for damn near 5 years before he could walk properly again. Poor kid had only been wrestling about a month, and I ended his career - damn near ruined his life. All his dreams were shattered. All his hopes were gone in an instant. And I was the guy who did that to him!" He turned away from me, clearly going through a cocktail of emotions too painful to describe.

"I finally got the nerve to get back in that ring. It took all the strength I had inside me just to lace up my boots again. I was going to quit for good but my whole family supported me, and talked me back into doing what I love. But ever since then I've been terrified of hurting someone again, petrified of another accident. This is such a dangerous sport, Rubie. We take such risks out there. All it takes is one mistake and you end up with another Darren Drozdov situation. So you want me to hit guys a little harder? Make my work a little stiffer? Sure thing, Rubie. I'll do that for you. It's the least I can do after you gave me this shot. But I'm not taking any undue risks in the ring. I'm not doing anything I think could risk somebody's life. I'll hit these guys to hell and back. But God help you if my doing so ends up wrecking someone's career. I just don't think I could live with myself if that were to happen." And with those final words he was gone, leaving behind a potent reminder of just how perilous this twisted game of ours can be.

Folks like Darren Drozdov are living reminders of the risks taken

RTG: Silent Night - Official Card

(aka the one before the big one)

Our final event of 2015 promises to be one of our most important, as it will shape the face of (hopefully) the greatest show in our history, which happens next month. In January 2016 we will be having our biggest ever show, our anniversary spectacular - The RTG Tournament Of Kings II. If Wrestlemania and King Of The Ring hooked up one night and had a mutant, bastard child, this would be it. For us it will be a huge deal and the culmination of all our hard work over a rollercoaster first year. Our authority Father Milo Augustini has announced that all RTG's key players will face each other in singles matches, to determine who gets what spot on the card. Only the very best will make the grade, and this is the chance for many of our roster to earn a place on the biggest show we have. There's everything to fight for here...

Chad Collyer vs ZZ Hook (w/ Matt Stryker, Javi Air, Benjamin Bray)

ZZ Hook took to YouTube to issue an open challenge to anyone in RTG. Having been in the wrestling game for more years than some of our roster have been alive, critics have been claiming he's past his prime. Hook wants to test this theory, to find out whether he's still got what it takes. In steps Chad Collyer, thirsty for a chance to hurt somebody and to send a message to his victim Tommy Kim. Will Collyer make a bloody example of Hook? Or will the strength in numbers of Hook's new 'Fighter's Union' guide him to victory? And will Tommy Kim be healthy enough to get involved?

Al Magz Jr (w/ Father Milo Augustini) vs Johnny Riggs

Former Invitational Title contender Magz Jr is a new face here in RTG, having found a place in the hearts of our fans last time with an... erm... 'spirited' effort against champion Extreme Tiger. The self-proclaimed 'Son Of Legend' says he will collect his first win here, and with his mentor Father Milo he stands a fighting chance - he certainly has the heart and the desire to spring an upset. His opponent is the young challenger Johnny Riggs, who has shown himself to be one of the most promising talents on our roster. Riggs will be hoping to impress here, knowing that doing so could land him a great spot at our Tournament Of Kings II - an event he predicts will catapult him to stardom.

Ty Hagen vs Tommy Kim

This could be a highly popular match-up between two of RTG's biggest names. This could be an entertaining and memorable bout. This could be the match that springboards the winner into World Trophy contention. We say 'could' because Tommy Kim has been so badly hurt by months of torture delivered indirectly by his vindictive nemesis Chad Collyer. Fans were shocked as he left our previous show on a stretcher, unable to wrestle. Kim's medical reports and prognosis have been kept top secret, fueling speculation that his situation is dire. Kim has begged to be listed on the card but whether he's fit to fight remains to be seen. His scheduled opponent Ty Hagen is an extremely dangerous foe and a former Invitational Champion. This could end very badly for Kim.

'Omega' Aaron Draven vs Jerrelle Clark (w/ Nooie Lee)

The outside favorite to steal the show. Two of the hottest high flyers going face to face. Two of our brightest stars going toe to toe. Both former World Trophy contenders. Both hungry to become the number one name here in RTG. This one is as 50/50 as they come. Jerrelle is in deep trouble with our authority Father Milo, however, after his antics last time went way too far, and resulted in our only referee quitting mid-show. Augustini has promised punishment - but what form will this take? And will his old tag-team ally Nooie Lee be involved? Then there's Draven, who's been in wars with our champion Ruben Garrison for nearly a whole year - will he have enough left to pull out the win? Or will Garrison's schemes derail his dreams yet again?

Derek Frazier vs Reckless Youth (w/ Josh Daniels)

The One To Settle The Score?

Fans celebrated when news of Josh Daniels' recovery spread. He is undergoing strenuous rehabilitation on his damaged neck and back, and there's an outside chance he'll be fit enough to fight at Tournament Of Kings II. Before then, however, there's the matter of revenge. Derek Frazier is the man who nearly crippled him. Reckless Youth is the ally he brought in to fight for vengeance in his place. They've fought twice so far - both excellent, exciting, closely-matched and arguably show-stealing encounters - and they're drawn one apiece. Now we have the decider to settle the score. Frazier has promised to cripple Youth the same way he nearly did Daniels. Youth has promised to teach Daniels a lesson he'll never forget. This one will go down to the wire.

Extreme Tiger vs ???

For The RTG Invitational Title

Last time our champ Extreme Tiger fought off not one, but two opponents. His second match in particular - against the phenomenal Josh Prohibition - nearly gave our YouTube page a seizure. After a show-stealing match last time, expectations will be high this time around. But who will Tiger's opponent be? Given the challenger could be any fighter from anywhere in the world, the excitement of our fans is at a record high. Will the superb high-flying skills of Tiger be enough to produce another win?

Ruben T Garrison vs Benjamin Bray (w/ Javi Air, Matt Stryker, ZZ Hook)

For The RTG World Trophy

They say fortune favors the brave. That's definitely the case for Benjamin Bray. After Tommy Kim was too injured to compete in the #1 Contenders Match last time, a 4 Way Dance was hastily organized to find a replacement. Thanks to interference from the so-called 'Fighters Union' Bray managed to snatch a victory, which preceeded his joining this new stable. With momentum on his side and the manpower of F.U at his back, he's possibly the favorite to win here. Will his life long ambition of becoming a world champion finally come to fruition? Standing in his way is champion Ruben Garrison, who has held onto the title through a mixture of sly cunning and sheer cheating. The craftiest player in RTG will not let go of his treasured RTG Trophy without a fight, even if 3 huge ass-kickings in as many months have taken a serious physical toll. Will Garrison's hated rival Aaron Draven have a say in this match? And what of Johnny Riggs, who felt he should have won this shot, were it not for F.U's interference?

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

As 2015 draws to a close, who will be on top once the dust settles? Who will have their arm raised in victory, and who will be ground into the dirt? With RTG's biggest ever show looming on the horizon, there's everything to fight for.

An additional note from RTG's own Man Of God:

"Due to the underhanded bastardry of one Jerrelle Clark, our only referee Bill Clark (no relation) has quit. Despite dozens of phone calls and repeated prayers, he is refusing to come back - understandable considering the humiliation he received. As a short-term measure I've had to bring veteran official Kenny Edwards out of retirement. I thank him on behalf of RTG for giving up his time to referee for us at our next show."

"I have been unable to decide a suitable punishment for Jerrelle. So, as a gift to our fans, we have created a special online poll. We're giving YOU fine ladies and gentlemen the chance to choose what punishment lies in wait for this scoundrel. I pray to our Heavenly Father to bless you with insight and imagination, as Lord knows a creative deterrent is more than deserved."

Hello diary. My name is Ruben T Garrison, and I am a drug addict.

A little over twelve months ago I hit the lowest point for my life. Consumed by my addiction, I tried to mug a priest. I didn't care that he was a man of the cloth, I didn't care that he was more than twice my size. I just needed his money for my next fix, as I was hurting badly. Unfortunately for me, the priest I tried to rob turned out to be the toughest, most feared man in town. Fortunately for me, he also turned out to be by far the most truly good-hearted person I've ever met. He could have broken my arms and left me bleeding in the street - and he considered it. Instead he talked to me. He talked to me in a way that nobody had in years. It was like his words burned right through the haze of my addiction, right into my brain. Next thing I knew we were at his church. I was in a confessional, weeping like a baby about how truly shitty my life had become, and how badly I needed help. Unlike everyone else in my life up to that point, he listened. And I mean really listened.

It was thanks to Father Milo Augustini that I got my worthless ass into rehab. It's thanks to him that I got sober. And it's thanks to this massive change in my life that I can finally say that I am safely back on track. Without sobriety I could never have gotten my apartment, my day job smashing furniture into tiny little pieces, and I could never have escaped the living nightmare that is cocaine addiction. It was only in my journey through sobriety that I found the drive to start my very own business - Road To Glory Wrestling. While it hasn't exactly exactly reached WWE levels of success just yet, it has allowed me to surround myself with an amazing and enthusiastic group of people. It has afforded me opportunities that just 18 months ago, I would never have dreamed were possible. It has given me the strength and confidence to rebuild. I genuinely think I would be dead in a gutter somewhere, were it not for Father Milo and for RTG Wrestling.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Logo3.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Logo2.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Logo4.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Logo1.jpg

I remember getting this logo made a year ago, wondering if it would ever become anything.

Just look at us now.

What a year it's been. There have been huge challenges. Like turning around the company's finances (nobody knows how we came this close to bankruptcy three times). Like being chained financially to an unscrupulous gangster in Mickey D. Like dealing with a deranged psychopath in Benny D. Like driving a screaming wrestler in the dead of night to the hospital, hoping beyond hope that he didn't bleed to death in my car. Like seeing that very same car - my home for over two years - burned to the ground in the name of entertainment. Like a full-scale riot which very nearly landed us in prison - thanks again to Father Milo for once again saving our asses. And there's the booze-fuelled mini-relapse that came shortly after, which would have ruined my recovery had it not been for close friends like Rachel Summerlyn, who slapped some sense into me. These are obstacles which, just last year, would have destroyed me. Yet here I am, having survived all these, and I have become stronger as a result.

It is this strength which gives me the focus to also see the happiness this year has presented me. My business is a small success, despite every bastard out there laughing at me for even dreaming of starting on my own, and despite the whole wrestling industry being in the toilet. I achieved my life-long ambition of being a world champion. And for the first time ever in my shitty little life, I managed to help others. I look at the likes of Aaron Draven and Tommy Kim, whose careers were in limbo, yet through my hard work (and theirs) have rediscovered a love of a sport which once was their life. I look at the likes of Ty Hagen and Benny Bray, who hadn't performed in years and were on the verge of quitting - now they are revitalized, able to walk with their heads held high once again. I look at the likes of Josh Daniels and Matt Stryker, whose careers had dried up due to their technical style of wrestling no longer being cool with today's audiences - yet they are beloved now by our fans. Most of all I look at the impact that RTG Wrestling has had on this shitty, miserable, suffocating town. I see people happy and smiling for the first time in forever. I feel a real buzz about the place, an optimism that simply wasn't there before. This town has always crushed all those who live in it. For once it feels amazing to have something of a success story - and it's given so many people here the drive and ambition to strive for success in their own lives. All this, from a chance encounter with an occasionally violent priest. It's amazing what can happen in just twelve short months.

Just one more to go 'til the big 12.

Tomorrow I go to yet another meeting in the 12 Step Program. I've been to every meeting but one, which isn't bad going for a loser like me, a guy who could never commit to anything. And at the end of tomorrow's meeting I'll have my new chip confirming a whole year without cocaine. A whole year of being my own man, of being (mostly) freed from my own demons. It's at times like this that I guess people begin to look ahead towards the future - and given the chaos this year has brought, it's impossible to predict what challenges 2016 will bring. But I know now, for the first time ever in my life, I will have the strength to fight for what I've built. Running a wrestling company is hard work, but compared to the ongoing war that is sobriety, it's a God-damned walk in the park. Next week will be RTG's last show of 2015, and then a fortnight or so after it'll be New Year. What better time to reflect on all that has been? What better time to look forward into a (hopefully) bright future ahead?

2015 has been interesting, to say the least. I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store...

<p>The one before the big one</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Logo.jpg</span><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;"><span style="font-size:14px;">RTG: Silent Night - Results</span></span></strong></p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">(aka the one before the big one)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Excitement filled the air as our crowd of 37 loyal fans took their seats for our final show of 2015. Despite the freezing temperatures, there was plenty of beer on tap to keep them all warm, resulting in a particularly noisy and rabid crowd. They were hungry for action, especially after it was announced that tonight's results would influence who fights who on our anniversary spectacular - <strong>Tournament Of Kings II</strong>. All our guys were determined to give 110% and to put on a show - all were keen to catch the Booker's eye. The locker-room mood was boisterous, even despite Benny D projectile vomiting everywhere pre-show. Overall it was a fine atmosphere for what promised to be a fine show. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Our lively crowd went silent, however, as <strong>Tommy Kim</strong> came to the ring in a wheelchair. Kim announced he was too injured to wrestle tonight and has not been given medical clearance. His right leg is badly hurt, and has received a variety of damage which will take extremely intensive physiotherapy to fix. Kim said he'd gone his entire career - since he started back in 1996 - without serious injury. He was furious and frustrated, and promised the fans he will do anything to get revenge on the bastard who did this to him. He will throw himself heart and soul into his recovery, with vengeance as motivation. The 'bastard' in question, <strong>Chad Collyer</strong>, came to the ring, gloating about how his plan has worked exactly as he said - that without laying a single finger on him, he's reduced Kim to a broken down mess. Chad then said it would soon be time to finish the lesson - at next month's Tournament Of Kings II show he will finally face Kim 1 on 1, and will complete the physical destruction in front of a record crowd. Kim said he isn't afraid, and looks forward to the chance of getting revenge on the man who tried to end his career. Kim could barely contain his emotions - he's clearly in huge pain and his frustrations must be beyond boiling point. Our commentators <strong>Swedish Dave</strong> and <strong>Benny D</strong> both agreed, however, it would be unlikely that Kim will be fit to fight Collyer in time. They also said he'd be crazy to fight Collyer in this weakened physical state. <span style="color:#A0522D;">"Makes about as much sense as putting a gun in your mouth and trying to pick your teeth with the bullet"</span> mused Benny D. We knew what he meant. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 38.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

With Kim too badly hurt to walk, let alone wrestle tonight, his opponent <strong>Ty Hagen</strong> and our authority <strong>Father Milo Augustini</strong> came to the ring. They both hugged Kim and wished him well in his recovery, warning him not to fight Collyer until he is physically able to do so. It looked, however, as though their advice fell on deaf ears. Kim looked a dejected and defeated figure as he rolled his wheelchair to the back. Father Milo then announced that a new opponent would be needed for Hagen tonight, issuing an open challenge. The so-called 'Fighter's Union' (F.U) were quick to accept, nominating <strong>Matt Stryker</strong> as an ideal replacement. Hagen and Stryker shook hands as the opening bell rang. <strong>Benjamin Bray</strong> and <strong>ZZ Hook</strong> moved to ringside in an 'advisory' position. This allowed Chad Collyer, now sat ringside, to get in Hook's face ahead of their match later on. Javi Air was conspicuous in his absence. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 35.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Ty_Hagen2.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Ty Hagen, pictured above, is visibly in much better shape thanks to his time in RTG.</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

The same can't be said for Kim, who is in danger of permanent physical damage.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Ty_Hagen.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/VS.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Matt_Stryker_FU.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Benjamin_Bray_FU.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/ZZ_Hook_FU.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Ty Hagen vs Matt Stryker (w/ Benjamin Bray and ZZ Hook)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Nobody has ever accused Hagen of being the greatest wrestler on earth - he's decent in all areas without being spectacular. But one of the reasons why our fans have really taken him to heart is his relentless drive and passion. He showed these qualities in abundance tonight, throwing Stryker around the ring like a rag doll, and constantly hitting quick clotheslines, dropkicks and other fast moves to keep Stryker off balance. Stryker was determined to slow the pace of the match down to suit his technical style, and finally got the chance when Bray tripped up Hagen from ringside. From then on in was much more of a technical battle, with submission holds and Puro style strikes heavily used. Every time Hagen tried to get a foothold in the match, one of Stryker's F.U allies would get involved. Finally Stryker managed to land his finisher, claiming the win due to heavy assistance from his new 'associates' - Hagen was at times essentially outnumbered 3 to 1.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#A0522D;"><strong>In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Matt Stryker defeated Ty Hagen in 12:58 by pinfall with a Stryker Driver. During the match we also saw ZZ Hook distract Ty Hagen, and Benjamin Bray also distract Ty Hagen. Match rating: 35</strong></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Despite F.U's numerical advantage, they'd been one guy short so far. Finally their missing member <strong>Javi Air</strong> turned up, clearly furious. For the past few months he's been displaying a vile, venomous temper when things don't go his way. Tonight seemed no exception. He got on the mic, saying he was furious that his 'comrades' in F.U allowed Benny Bray to defeat him at our last show. He got right in their faces, yelling that he'd joined F.U to be a winner, not a loser. He angrily demanded that F.U leaders Stryker and Hook force a rematch, but they both refused because Bray won fair and square. Javi didn't like that, and stormed off, yelling that he'll take matters into his own hands. ZZ Hook then called on his opponent for tonight Chad Collyer to get in the ring and start their match.<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;"> Angle rating: 34.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Chad_Collyer.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/VS.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/ZZ_Hook_FU.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Benjamin_Bray_FU.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Matt_Stryker_FU.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Chad Collyer vs ZZ Hook (w/ Benjamin Bray and Matt Stryker)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Since ZZ Hook arrived in RTG he's taken a lot of shit from our fans, who tormented him with chants like <strong><em>"ZZ Hook, ZZ Hook, who the f**k is ZZ Hook?!"</em></strong> His superb mic skills have never been in question, but he's had a lot of doubt cast over his in-ring abilities. People say he's too old at 44 to be mixing it with the best. Hook wanted to see if these doubters were correct, and couldn't have asked for a more dangerous opponent than Collyer. To this end, he'd insisted that none of his stable-mates interfere, demanding he face this challenge alone. Hook started brightly, taunting his opponent and getting the crowd on his side perhaps more than at any stage in his RTG tenure. He floored Collyer with a big Superkick followed by a stiff Shining Wizard. A painful-looking Enziguiri made a real statement, and a Fame Asser out of nowhere had the crowd rocking. Sure, our fans are unsure about Hook and his F.U stable, but anyone putting a beating on the hated Chad Collyer is sure to be a quick favorite. It soon became clear, however, that Hook was indeed out of his depth. </p><p> </p><p>

Keen to send a message to his nemesis Tommy Kim, Collyer brutally kicked the legs out from under Hook and dived on him. From that moment on he literally never let go of Hook. A chain of five hard German Suplexes weakened Hook's neck and back. A hurtful Spinning Brainbuster sent shockwaves through his whole body. An Elevated Boston Crab really shook his spine. Then there was a Crippler Crossface. And an Elevated Camel Clutch. Then 3 huge Neckbreakers in a row. Bray and Stryker tried interfering to help their fallen friend, but Collyer threw them out the ring with ease. He then performed a devastating Torture Rack on Hook that would've made a prime Lex Luger proud. All of this inflicted immeasurable damage to Hook's back, and by the end of the ordeal he was a screaming, un-moving husk. Bray and Stryker looked on in horror as Collyer showed his vindictive side to a horrific degree. He could've pinned Hook at any stage for the win, but he wanted to make a truly sadistic statement. With a sick smile he locked Hook into the most painful looking Cloverleaf submission hold I've ever seen. He literally bent ZZ in half. It looked like he was going to snap Hook's spine. Our stand-in referee Kenny Edwards called off the match right away, trying to force Collyer to release the hold. He did, eventually, but only after a sickening 'crack' echoed through the venue. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Chad Collyer defeated ZZ Hook in 12:49 by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf. During the match we also saw Benjamin Bray distract Chad Collyer. Match rating: 47.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Quickly ZZ Hook was lowered onto a stretcher, holding his back and screaming so loud it gave people nightmares. He bit his lip so hard it drew blood. He was literally writhing in pain. Benjamin Bray and Matt Stryker, with help from Father Milo and road agent Rachel Summerlyn rushed him to the back for urgent medical assistance. Chad Collyer laughed loudly throughout, clearly enjoying the fruits of his sick, twisted labor. He then grabbed the mic, promising the same fate to all who disrespected him, and to anyone who stands in his way. Tommy Kim could be seen at the top of the entrance ramp, looking on from his wheelchair with an expression of horror on his face. Collyer said to Kim that what happened to Hook was merely a demonstration. At Tournament Of Kings II, he said, an even worse fate would be in store. The fans threw things at Collyer and screamed abuse at him. They want blood for what he has done. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 39.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Father Milo came out to chastise Collyer as soon as Hook was safely in the hands of medics. However by this point, Collyer was nowhere to be seen. Augustini sensed a hostile mood among the crowd, and sought to lighten things before crowd tension turned into violence. He had the perfect antidote in RTG's newest signing <strong>Al Magz Jr</strong>. The crowd cheered loudly for Magz, who they've clearly taken to heart. They love his plucky underdog spirit. Last time out he faced Invitational Champion Extreme Tiger. After landing one offensive move, he'd spent the next 4 minutes celebrating, before being squashed like a bug. Father Milo, having taken the young Magz under his wing, was keen to set things right. Father Milo praised Al's belief, blaming himself for Magz losing to Tiger last time. He said he put the young rookie in too deep, to fast. He apologized to Al, whom he describes as <span style="color:#A0522D;">"perhaps the greatest young prospect in all professional wrestling, nay all professional sports,"</span> saying he hopes the loss won't affect his confidence. Milo then apologized to Al's opponent tonight <strong>Johnny Riggs</strong> for making him face <span style="color:#A0522D;">"a truly ferocious athlete"</span> such as Magz. Augustini said to Riggs that he hoped the match will be brief and not too painful for him. Riggs did his best to stifle his laughter, but doesn't quite manage it as the bell rang to start the match. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 40.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Al_Magz_Jr.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Father_Milo_Augustini.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/VS.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Johnny_Riggs.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Al Magz Jr (w/ Father Milo Augustini) vs Johnny Riggs</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Keen to show what a "truly ferocious athlete" he is, Magz went full-tilt right from the start, surprising Riggs with a lightning quick RKO / Diamond Cutter type thing out of nowhere. He followed with a pin for a close 2 count from our stand-in ref Kenny Edwards. To be fair to Magz it was a good move. It was well-timed. And it genuinely seemed to stun Riggs. Psyched up by this success, Magz leaped to the top rope, shouting to the fans that they were about to see <span style="color:#A0522D;">"the greatest Leg Drop in the history of all wrestling! The greatest, most deadly Leg Drop in the history of all mankind!"</span> He flew like a swan, with the grace of an eagle. It was magnificent... until he landed ass-first, having missed the target by a good 3 feet. From then on it was a glorified sparring session for Riggs, who deconstructed Magz like he were made of Lego bricks. No matter how much the crowd cheered him on, no matter how much his mentor Father Milo banged on the ring apron, it wasn't enough for the hapless Magz. This one ended when Riggs hit his finisher the Independent Star. With his opponent out cold, he casually stopped to drink some water, polish his sunglasses, before finally getting round to the pin. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Johnny Riggs defeated Al Magz Jr in 6:13 by pinfall with an Independent Star. During the match we also had Father Milo Augustini distract Johnny Riggs. Match rating: 37.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

With the distraction that was Al Magz Jr out the way, Riggs got on the mic to address more serious business. Riggs said he was pissed at F.U for interfering against him in his 4 Way Dance last month, which resulted in Bray getting the title shot tonight. Riggs said he's held his tongue up til now in respect of the severe injuries suffered by ZZ Hook, but can be silent no longer. He laid down an open challenge to all F.U - he'll face any of them at Tournament Of Kings II, and doesn't care who, so long as he can have his vengeance. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 36.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Johnny_Riggs2.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Riggs is the kinda guy who insists on wearing cool sunglasses when cutting a promo.</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

Even at night. In December.</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Jerrelle Clark (w/ Nooie Lee) vs 'Omega' Aaron Draven</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

A 50/50 battle between two RTG World Trophy challengers, this one was hotly anticipated by all 37 of our fans. Opinion on who was favorite to win was split, though perhaps slightly in <strong>Jerrelle Clark</strong>'s favor considering he had his old tag partner <strong>Nooie Lee</strong> at ringside to watch his back. <strong>Aaron Draven</strong> just had my unwelcome presence in the front row, as I 'scouted' my nemesis. This was the flashy spot-fest everyone thought it would be, with action so fast our announcers barely had time to draw breath. The moves were quick, precise and clinical. The action was over-the-top and sometimes breathtaking, with some cleverly scripted spots making our fans jump up and down with excitement. Nooie intervened and was too fast for our old dinosaur of a referee to catch him. He ran circles around the out of shape, retired official before joining Clark in double-teaming Draven. The fans loved every moment as the team formerly known as 2 Fast, 2 Furious went through every double-team spot in their repertoire. Draven took a real beating, and I cheered even louder than our fans with every impact. Finally an out of breath ref caught up with Nooie and man-handled him out the ring. Nooie put up a real struggle, arguing loudly with the official at ringside. </p><p> </p><p>

Naturally I used this distraction as opportunity to further kick the living crap out of Draven. He never saw the Leaping, Swinging DDT coming. He was too badly hurt to stop my Pumphandle Slam. And things looked bleak for him when I hit my Hart Attack finisher on him, leaving him seemingly out cold in the ring. In true pro wrestling fashion, the referee got back in the ring just in time to see Clark hook the leg of Draven. 1... 2... but Draven somehow kicked out a millisecond before the 3. It was literally the closest thing I've seen in years. The Flash couldn't have timed it better. The crowd popped big time. Jerrelle made his first and only mistake of the whole match when he turned his back on the wounded Draven to yell at the ref for not counting fast enough. Clark looked like he was going to flip out. The ref looked like he was going to have an aneurysm. It gave the self-proclaimed 'Omega' the opportunity he needed, as he grabbed Clark and hit his OmegaWave finisher out of nowhere!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Aaron Draven defeated Jerrelle Clark in 15:18 by pinfall with an OmegaWave. During the match we also saw Nooie Lee distract Aaron Draven, and Ruben T Garrison also distract Aaron Draven. Match rating: 47.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

I was furious that my enemy Draven had somehow managed to grab the win. I sought retribution by attacking Draven after the match, dragging him out the ring before Piledriving him through the announcer's table. It looked great and got a big response from the crowd. It was only when I stood over Draven's lifeless body among the broken wreckage and splinters that I wondered how we'd ever afford a new table. Stand-in referee Kenny Edwards tried to intervene but collapsed to the floor in pain, holding his back. Clark and Nooie then attacked me from behind, laying into me with punches and kicks, driving me away to the backstage area. Both our referee and the fallen 'Omega' were hurriedly carried off to the back to get medical help. It took a while for the dust to settle, so to speak. But when it did, Father Milo was forced to take over as referee, squeezing into a black and white striped shirt that was clearly 3 sizes too small. This angered RTG's own Man Of God. Milo got on the mic and verbally laid into Clark for making our full-time referee Bill Clark quit last month. Father Milo reminded the fans that they can choose any punishment they see fit for Clark, via an online poll. He will unveil the fan's answers at Tournament Of Kings II. In the meantime, with a temporary ref in place, it was time for the next match. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 34.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Derek Frazier vs Reckless Youth (w/ Josh Daniels)</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

One More To Settle The Score</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Any fan of RTG knows the score here. Everyone knows how <strong>Derek Frazier</strong> nearly crippled <strong>Josh Daniels</strong>, and how <strong>Reckless Youth</strong> is here to avenge him. Fans worldwide loved the first two matches between these two, with wrestling marks as far as Tahiti logging into our YouTube page to see the action. They stand with one win apiece. With tonight's match designed to finally settle the score between these two, both left everything they had in the ring. Reckless had the upper hand at first - having watched footage of the previous fights, he countered a Flying Crossbody from Frazier into a magnificent Airplane Spin, followed by a Dominator. With Derek flattened, he immediately began working the legs with a Modified Sharpshooter and with stiff kicks and strikes. He would allow Frazier to partly get to his feet, before Dropkicking him back to the mat, following up quickly with moves like Spinning Ankle Locks, STFs and an absolutely superb Indian Death Lock. This kept the normally lightning fast Frazier slow and grounded. Derek was being badly hurt by these intelligent attacks. It seemed the match would soon be over. </p><p> </p><p>

Until Frazier lost his temper. A fighter who is most dangerous when his pride is hurt, his anger flared up and gave him an unstoppable wave of Adrenalin. It was this temper which had made him snap and attack Daniels in the first place. It would be this anger that would catapult him back into the match. Like a cornered, wounded animal Frazier struck with a Roundhouse Kick which connected so hard it sent Youth flying out the ring. A crazy move to do with such badly hurt legs, it clearly took a lot out of Frazier, but it bought him precious seconds to recover. Flying on a mixture of rage and momentum, he ignored the pain and leaped over the top rope with a Suicide Dive, flattening both Youth and the wounded Daniels. The crowd booed and jeered, and this seemed to spur Derek on even more. The second Reckless was back in the ring, Frazier was on him with a cruel Jackknife Powerbomb, followed by an awesome Tornado DDT. Frazier's legs were in agony. He didn't care. Despite being beaten up for most of the match, he found the strength to stun Youth once more with a huge Missile Dropkick. The fans were livid. The cumulative stunning effect of these moves allowed him the opportunity for a Discharge Driver. Father Milo looked sad as he made the count. A great match despite the unpopular outcome.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Derek Frazier defeated Reckless Youth in 17:34 by pinfall with a Discharge Driver. During the match we also had Josh Daniels distract Derek Frazier. Match rating: 55.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

The sound of the bell still echoed through Mickey D's Scrap Yard as Frazier hot-footed it to the distant safety of the commentator's position, in a hurry to escape the wrath of Reckless Youth, Josh Daniels, or our fans. Youth grabbed the mic, overcome with emotion, and delivered one of the most heart-felt promos in our company's short history. He said he was gutted that he couldn't teach Frazier a lesson for Daniels, apologizing for letting his friend down. Daniels gave him a hug and told him it's fine, that he will face Frazier himself at Tournament Of Kings II to settle the score. Daniels thanked the fans for their support during his rehabilitation, saying he couldn't have come through this painful recovery without their messages and encouragement. Josh said that Youth bought him time to recover with this trilogy of matches. Plus Frazier has been worn down after these three all-out battles with Youth, which Daniels feels will give him the advantage. </p><p> </p><p>

Father Milo, switching from referee mode to authority mode, sadly informed Daniels he can't have his match as he's not medically cleared to wrestle, that by stepping foot in the ring would be jeopardizing his whole career. The fans booed this, but Augustini said it would be unethical to allow Daniels to potentially cripple himself. Frazier then grabbed Swedish Dave's microphone in a fit of anger, saying he'll be more than happy to "finish the job" against Daniels at Tournament Of Kings II. The fans chanted <strong><em>"let them fight, let them fight"</em></strong>. As the fan's voices became deafening (an impressive feat given there were only 37 of them,) Milo gave in and made the match. He begged Daniels to consider his health and his career, however, and says he will pray that disaster doesn't strike at RTG's biggest ever show next month. <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 35.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Father Milo called our Invitational Champ Extreme Tiger to the ring. He took the time to high-five all 37 fans, enjoying the noise they made for him. He stopped ringside, seemingly transfixed upon one particular fan. Suddenly he let off a deafening roar of laughter, yelling <strong><span style="color:#008080;">"estas gafas son muy, muy sexy"</span></strong> at the fan, before stealing his sunglasses, putting them on over his mask, and leaping into the ring still wearing them. Magically they would stay on through the whole match. It got a huge laugh from the crowd. Augustini then revealed that our newly bespectacled champion shall be facing... drumroll please... <strong><em>Jimmy Rave!</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Extreme_Tiger_Glasses.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/VS.jpg</span><span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Jimmy_Rave.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Extreme Tiger © vs Jimmy Rave</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

For The RTG Invitational Title</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

This match was so damn fast I had to watch it back 3 times on YouTube just to write about it. You'd think these guys were superhuman or something. Even our smart-ass expert announcer Swedish Dave couldn't keep up with all the flips, somersaults and stuff going on. There were the old favorites such as Saltos, Suicide Dives, Planchas and a particularly sweet Senton Bomb from Tiger, who had full control of the match for the first half. There were also a bunch of moves that happened so fast we couldn't name them - fortunately Tiger would yell out their names before performing them - he's helpful like that. There was the <strong><span style="color:#008080;">"Destructor del Pezón"</span></strong> and the <span style="color:#008080;"><strong>"Súper Bazo Obliterator"</strong></span> and the <strong><span style="color:#008080;">"Mega Jerbo Misil"</span></strong> - all of which had our fans in awe. It's entirely possible he was inventing new moves on the fly. The tide turned however when the crafty Jimmy Rave distracted Tiger by attempting to steal his glasses. This gave him the split-second opportunity the Atlanta, Georgia native needed to hit a lightning fast Guillotine Leg Drop and take control. </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Jimmy_Rave2.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Rave has the kind of cocky swagger our fans love. </span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

The self-proclaimed 'Mr. XTC' had his own fancy tricks up his sleeve, many of which defy explanation. As I watched this match back via YouTube I heard Swedish listing moves such as "From Dusk Till Dawn", "Gravity Killer", "Greetings From Ghana", and the "Rave Clash". Even now I couldn't describe to you what any of these are, other than to use the word "awesome". The fans loved it. Eventually however, or valiant champion gained the upper hand with a move I'm just going to call "The Flying Head Scissors From Hell" followed by his famous Spanish Fly finisher. The fans were sad to see this one finish. Every one was, except perhaps stand-in ref Father Milo, who was nearly hyperventilating after trying to keep up with these two.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Father Milo tried getting his breath back by leaning on the ropes. That didn't work. So he tried sitting on one of the turnbuckles to regain himself. That didn't work either. Finally he ended up lying on his back in the center of the ring, trying in vain to slow his breathing. His face was bright red, his forehead covered with sweat. The life of a referee clearly wasn't well suited to a man like Father Milo, and as soon as he was able, he got on the mic to admit this. After announcing that trying to keep up with Tiger and Rave had nearly given him a heart-attack, he said it wouldn't be fair for him to referee the main event. The fans, he said, deserved someone who could keep up with the fast-paced action. Fortunately, he said, there was one "charitable soul" backstage who was more than happy to take on the ref's responsibility tonight... Aaron Draven! <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 46.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Ruben T Garrison © vs Benjamin Bray (w/ Matt Stryker)</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

For The RTG World Trophy</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">

Aaron Draven Is Special Guest Referee</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Having loaded his stable-mate ZZ Hook into an ambulance, Matt Stryker was back ringside to help Benjamin Bray. Javi Air, who had been absent through most of F.U's efforts tonight, had also deemed fit to grace us with his presence. Instead of helping his partners, he sat ringside sulking, looking pissed off at everything and everyone. By contrast, the look on 'referee' Aaron Draven's face was the picture of happiness. Even though he'd taken a beating in his match earlier on, he still found plenty of energy to try and screw me over. Every time I had Bray down he'd either do a comically slow count or simply not bother to count at all. One time I appeared to have Bray out for the count with a Top Rope Samoan Drop which shook the whole ring. I hooked the leg, the fans counted along... 1........... 2.................... and suddenly our 'official' stopped the count to tie his shoelace. I was pissed and let Draven know exactly how I felt. He screamed back at me, then started laughing in my face. You could see 12 months of anger and frustration nearly boiling over, the veins in his neck throbbing with rage. </p><p> </p><p>

Suddenly Bray seized the moment and hit a quick Backslide Pin, followed by a count that was so fast it was ultrasonic. My shoulders had barely touched the canvas by the time he was on 2.5. I kicked out, just barely, but was disorientated by the ridiculously fast near-fall. This gave Bray and Stryker the window they needed to get back into the match, working cleverly together to keep me distracted while slowly wearing me down. Bray in particular was on good form. I'd warned him to stiffen up his offense during a private conversation recently. He responded with aplomb. Remember back in the 1980's when Vince McMahon testified in court that wrestling is fake? You'd think Bray never got the message, as he laid into me with HUGE kicks, strikes and punches that'd make Ivan Drago proud. It wasn't a work, he was literally beating the living shit out of me. He was energized, like a man finally let off the hook. Sure it hurt like hell, but it looked amazing - and will hopefully take him to another level. The fans cheered wildly as Bray hit a Jeff Hardy-esque Swanton Bomb which seemed to have me beat. Finally, the fans sensed, Bray would achieve his life-long dream of becoming a world champion...</p><p> </p><p>

Suddenly the venue filled with a chorus of boos as Javi Air slid into the ring with a steel chair, smashing it over Bray's head. Stryker ran in to try and stop the treacherous Javi, but ended up eating steel also. The crowd was furious as Javi vindictively bounced the chair off Bray's back and head over, and over, and over again. 'Match Official' Draven wanted to ring the bell to stop the match, but couldn't - stopping the match via disqualification would hand his enemy Garrison (me) a win. Draven was stuck between a rock and a hard place, clearly caught in two minds, unsure what to do. After what seemed like an eternity, Father Milo, who'd been watching from ringside, jumped onto the ring apron and waved off the match.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Ruben T Garrison defeated Benjamin Bray in 14:52 when the match was called off because a vile little bastard went crazy. Ruben T Garrison makes defence number 8 of his RTG World Trophy title. Match rating: 48.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Father Milo grabbed a mic and demanded answers as to why Javi had snapped and attacked his own allies. Still armed with the chair, Javi seemed incoherent with rage. He was shaking as he said it should have been him fighting for the World Trophy tonight, not Bray. He furiously claimed that for most of the year he'd been held back, never given the recognition he feels he deserves. Stryker tried to take the chair off him, but failed. This only enraged Javi further, causing him to swing the chair at him. Stryker just about avoided getting his skull caved in, fleeing with Bray to the safety of ringside. Father Milo had seen enough of Javi's vile temper. He announced the matter would be settled once and for all at next month's Tournament Of Kings II. Javi and Bray will go head to head. The winner will become the new #1 Contender... but the loser must leave RTG forever! <strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 34.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Father Milo wasn't finished making big announcements, however. He summoned me and my nemesis Aaron Draven back into the ring. To perhaps the biggest crowd pop of the whole night, Augustini announced that finally Draven would get his hands on me again. After nearly a whole year of trying to get the gold, Draven will have one more chance at Tournament Of Kings II. It will be me versus him. Man against man. One final time. On the biggest ever show in RTG's history. <strong>Let the games begin. </strong><strong><span style="color:#A0522D;">Angle rating: 45.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<p><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="color:#A0522D;"><strong>Quick note regarding the future:</strong></span></span></p><p> </p><p>

This diary will continue on for quite some time I think, so long as people are happy to keep reading it. </p><p> </p><p>

Regarding the new 2016 TEW release, I've had a plan for a while. There'll be 2 more shows via the 2013 release and forum - '<strong>Tournament Of Kings II</strong>', followed by '<strong>Live! Tonight! Not Sold Out!</strong>' </p><p> </p><p>

Once these shows are done, I'll begin a new thread for this on the 2016 forum. This current thread will be labelled "Chapter 1" with a new thread created in the 2016 forum as "Chapter 2". I've things planned storyline-wise which mean it makes sense to do it this way, rather than having a moderator move this thread over to the new forum. They will instead be two distinct chapters in the RTG Wrestling story. </p><p> </p><p>

After Chapter 1 is done, I'll buy the new 2016 game and play it on there, moving RTG's roster onto there via the editor. By then I'm hoping there'll be some great Real World mods to use as a backdrop for this diary. Until then, please keep an eye on this page for new updates etc. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Thanks again to all of you for reading. </strong></p>

The one with the card for the big one

RTG: Tournament Of Kings II - The Official Card

This is the big one. Our anniversary show. The largest show in our company's history. Feuds will be settled. Blood will be spilled. Legends will be made.

"Kings fight for empires, madmen for applause." - John Dryden

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

In January 2015 we started something. Something wild. Something crazy. A small group of determined fighters went toe to toe in a scrap yard in the middle of nowhere. They weren't fighting for money. They weren't fighting for fame. They fought for glory. One year on and these same men are ready to fight again - and more have joined their ranks. The Road To Glory Wrestling: Tournament Of Kings II will pit some of our biggest names against each other in singles combat. It was at last year's tournament that some of our biggest stars - Aaron Draven, Ty Hagen, Ruben Garrison and more - made names for themselves. Who will rise to glory this time around?

Tournament Of Kings Semi-Final 1:

Jerrelle Clark vs Nooie Lee

A potentially fascinating match to kick things off. As part of his punishment for driving our only referee into quitting, Jerrelle is forced to face his friend and tag team partner Nooie Lee. Can these two fast-paced competitors put their allegiance aside for one night? Jerrelle is a former RTG World Trophy challenger, but with the dark cloud of further punishment hanging over him, will this be the day that hard-hitting Lee gets his moment in the sun?

Tournament Of Kings Semi-Final 2:

Ty Hagen vs Reckless Youth

One is a former RTG Invitational Champion. The other is a veteran who held belts throughout the globe. One is a hero to our fans. The other earned their respect through a trilogy of perhaps the greatest matches in this company's history. It's no wonder our fans have labelled this one as 'the final before the final'. Nobody knows how this one will turn out.

Tournament Of Kings Semi-Final 3:

Johnny Riggs vs Matt Stryker

In November last year, Riggs looked set to win an impromptu 4 Way Dance which would have given him a shot at the RTG World Trophy. However, the so-called 'Fighters Union' interfered, costing Johnny the match. As F.U celebrated one of their own getting a chance at glory, Riggs was left to ponder the shattered dreams he was left with. At last month's show, Riggs broke his silence, saying he wanted retribution against any member of F.U. He gets his wish here against the always dangerous Matt Stryker, who has already challenged for the very RTG World Trophy that Riggs so badly covets.

Tournament Of Kings Final:

??? vs ??? vs ???

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Mystery_Opponent.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Mystery_Opponent.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Mystery_Opponent.jpg

As with last year's tournament, the winner of each of these singles matches will face each other in an 3 Way Dance. This year's final will be an Elimination bout, however. The prize for the winner is a shot at the RTG World Trophy, which they can cash in at any time they choose. The runner-up gets the same opportunity, but for the RTG Invitational Title.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Divider.jpg

Also on this action-packed card will be the some of biggest grudge matches in RTG's history, as well as the most hotly anticipated title matches we've ever had the pleasure to offer...

Benjamin Bray vs Javi Air

Winner Becomes #1 Contender

Loser Leaves RTG

Both Bray and Javi joined the so-called 'Fighters Union' to advance their careers. For Javi it worked at first, finding himself in a #1 Contender's bout within minutes of joining - the highest point in his RTG tenure to date. Unfortunately for him the man he ended up facing was Benny Bray, who joined the stable shortly after defeating Javi. Seeing this as a betrayal, Javi says he's been screwed over by F.U. Things came to a head when in a vile display of temper he ruined Bray's dreams, ruining Bray's title shot with the help of a steel chair. Now is the chance for both men to settle the score. The winner gets the #1 Contender's spot they crave. The loser, however, will be banished from RTG forever.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Chad_Collyer.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/VS.jpghttp://twistededge.org/RTG/Tommy_Kim.jpg

Chad Collyer vs Tommy Kim

Last month Tommy Kim was in a wheelchair, unable to compete. A broken shell of a man, his body broken beyond anything he'd ever experienced in his 20 year career. His right leg, he says, will need constant painful rehabilitation. Every doctor in the land has told him he shouldn't compete. Our authority Milo Augustini begged him to consider the consequences. But Kim insists on settling the score against the very man who broke him. Chad Collyer has been the architect of Kim's downfall, watching with sick satisfaction as Tommy's legs were almost destroyed. Can Kim stop the man who tried to end his career? Will he enjoy the sweet taste of glory? Or will the physical toll be too much, allowing the sadistic Collyer to fulfill his promise of removing Kim from the wrestling landscape forever?

Derek Frazier vs Josh Daniels

Another man fighting against doctor's advice is Josh Daniels. Months ago his opponent Derek Frazier lost his temper, snapped, and almost crippled Josh. The road to health has been as agonizing as it has been slow. No amount of pain or suffering could stop Daniels from getting back in the ring with his hated enemy, however. Despite not being anywhere near 100%, despite not having fought in months, and with his serious neck and back injuries still hanging over him, Daniels has sworn he will have his revenge. Frazier, however, is in the fighting form of his life, having beaten Josh's ally Reckless Youth twice in as many months. Frazier has said he will "finish the job" on Daniels, claiming he won't be happy until he ensures Daniels never walks again. This could well be one of the most important fights these two men will ever encounter.

One of the best high flying superstars on the scene right now, RTG is proud to promote Extreme Tiger as it's Invitational Champion. He's defended the title valiantly so far against internationally recognized talents Josh Prohibition and Jimmy Rave (and also some guy called Al). His opponent could be anyone, from anywhere in the world. Our authority Milo Augustini has promised his opponent will be a big name, that no expense shall be spared. For 12 months he has held off the most dangerous rival he's ever faced - Aaron Draven, a man whose ambition and desire mean he will literally stop at nothing to get the glory he's always dreamed of. Mystery Box Time...

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Dice.jpg

OOC: As mentioned in the very beginning of this diary, my game is a Road To Glory challenge. You can kind of tell that, given the name of the fed. The rules of the challenge say that after a year of in-game time, you must roll the dice and see what the 'Mystery Box' brings. This aspect of the challenge is what drew me to it in the first place. I even made my own list of additional 'Mystery Box' items to follow, so drew from that also.

From the original list:

4. "Chance Encounter" While on holiday abroad you have befriended a wrestler and offered them a job (choose a wrestler in another regional area who is unemployed, make them active in your area and create a Strong Friendship between you and them).

From my own list:

61. "The Future Is Now" The next wrestler to emerge from your Dojo / Development fed must become the protege of the most over active member of your roster. If you don't have a Dojo / Development fed, watch the News and use the next newly generated Graduate from another fed. Change their relationships to be Mentor / Protege, and they must also have a Strong Friendship. They must then share screen time constantly, as per the two above. They will be together for a minimum of 9 months.

These will kick in immediately following the Tournament Of Kings II show. So don't be surprised to see some new blood appearing soon.

I'm not sure, since Collyer's been a massive dick and could continue to be evil, but Tommy has the underdog story. I'll say Kim, since the face side is a little weak, but I'm fine either way.

RTG: Tournament Of Kings II - Results

And so we come to the biggest event in our short but colorful history. A night of beer, blood and (hopefully) brilliance. With a record-shattering attendance of 81 people, expectations were high... and there wasn't a single person in the locker-room willing to let them down. A celebratory mood filled the air. This, we all felt, was our shot at glory.

<p>The moment our flagship event started, Aaron Draven hit the ring. He was excitement personified, telling the crowd how tonight was going to be his night, that tonight finally all the years of toil and pain and blood would bear fruit. All his life, he said, he's been hoping and praying for an opportunity to prove to the world how great he is, to prove the doubters and the haters wrong. He proclaimed that tonight would be the highlight of his career - a night he would look back on for the rest of his life with pride.

I'd had enough of hearing this mushy crap, and came out to give him a piece of my mind. We traded insults, hyping our main event. I told him that holding the RTG World Trophy was the pinnacle of my career, and that nobody was going to take it from me, especially some midget like him. When he replied that size doesn't matter, I agreed: "It's true, everyone's the same size when they're lying on the ground, with their legs broken, screaming in a pool of their own blood. You could be 7 feet tall and I'd still cut you down to size." Draven said he is the 'Omega' which means the end of things, and would mean the end of my title reign tonight. He said that for months I've been a thorn in his side, that for a whole year I've made his life a living hell. He spoke about the numerous wars and brawls we've had, and the torment I've put him through since I got to choose who he fights and when. We agreed that no matter what, tonight's the night this ends. Tonight is the night the score is settled, once and for all. Angle rating: 44.</p>

Two of our roster could tonight book their ticket to title glory, explained our authority Father Milo Augustini, while drinking champagne straight from the bottle. Based on his high spirits and rosy cheeks, I'd guess it was probably his fourth. Tonight, he said, 6 talented individuals will face off in a tournament which could shape the face of RTG Wrestling for months to come. 3 singles matches, then the winners go toe-to-toe in a Triple Threat elimination match in the final. The winner will have a shot at the RTG World Trophy, which they can cash in whenever they like. The runner-up gets the same privilege for the RTG Invitational Title. It is opportunities like this, said our Man Of God, that can change careers forever. He then parked himself in the front row, sharing a few of Mickey D's ultra-strength beers with the fans. Tournament Of Kings Semi-Final 1:

Jerrelle Clark vs Nooie Lee

The first match of our tournament got the fans really excited, as former RTG Trophy challenger Jerrelle Clark faced his tag team partner Nooie Lee. These two had a lot of success years ago as '2 Fast, 2 Furious' but both had to put any past relationship behind them. Lee was fine with this, clearly ready to kick ass and achieve his ambitions, fighting like a supercharged Donnie Yen. Jerrelle was clearly distracted, however. He obviously didn't like the idea of having to fight his long-time friend. Plus there was the prospect of the cruel and unusual punishment dreamed up by the fans, which would be revealed later. But all that paled in comparison to the distraction right in front of him - our referee for the whole evening was the returning Bill Clark, the very man Jerrelle had infamously forced to quit just two short months ago! "He looks like he's shitting kittens" exclaimed our color commentator Benny D. He wasn't kidding.

It turned out that Augustini had convinced our young official to return by letting him do whatever the hell he wanted in this match. Bill Clark, who'd been so badly humiliated by Jerrelle, took full advantage. Jackie Chan's lightning-fast hands were nothing compared to Clark's whenever Lee tried for a pinfall. Clark split up every one of Jerrelle's submission attempts, even when Lee was nowhere near the ropes. Lee got away with 2 blatant low-blow kicks, which despite Jerrelle's protests, were deemed absolutely legal. This really messed up a fighter who is known for cheating to get a win, and the crowd loved seeing the cocky upstart getting his comeuppance. The only time Lee ever looked in trouble was when Jerrelle performed his ever-popular Bitch Slap maneuver, which hit so hard it made Lee do a full back-flip. Our announcer Swedish Dave theorized that such a blow would have surely killed a lesser man. Our fans chanted "bitch slap! Bitch slap" at the sight of this, showing their sophistication yet again. However, Jerrelle was basically facing two men out there, and despite his flashy high flying offense, a win was always out of the question. Lee, finding the referee's biased actions hilarious, used his hard-hitting moveset to get an unlikely victory. He even used the ropes for leverage during the pinfall too, just because he could. Thanks to our rogue ref, Lee pulled of a big upset here.

Nooie Lee progressed to the final, in a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat. Nooie Lee defeated Jerrelle Clark in 12:53 by a fast-counted pinfall from Bill Clark while using the ropes for leverage. Match rating: 36.

Jerrelle shook Lee's hand afterwards. Although he was furious at losing in the tournament's first round, he clearly admired the devious way in which his partner pulled out the win.

Father Milo, clearly amused by the antics in our first match, left his champagne and beer long enough to make an announcement. Our deviant fans have been given the chance to dream up imaginative ways for Jerrelle to be punished. You suggested everything from buggery to world title shots, from forced cross-dressing to something involving a dog, a cat, superglue and half a dozen rabbits. Fortunately for Clark, as most of the suggestions break many state laws, the only one we'd legally be allowed to do was... putting Jerrelle in a Gauntlet Match against F.U next show! Jerrelle was pissed, especially when Nooie started laughing at him. Our returning ref Bill Clark looked like he was about to wet himself with the hilarity of it. Jerrelle flipped everyone the bird and stormed off. Angle rating: 40.

Tournament Of Kings Semi-Final 2:

Ty Hagen vs Reckless Youth

A good, old-fashioned wrestling match. No gimmicks, no silly spots, just solid action. Ty Hagen has transformed his physique during the last 12 months. Gone is the podgy Hagen of old who had the body of a professional video games tester. What we have now is a lean, mean ass-kicking machine. He went full-pelt against his opponent Reckless Youth, dominating the opening phases of the match with a decent variety of holds and slams, showing some fairly good fundamentals. Hagen has a 'man of the people' kinda vibe, and the fans have always responded well to his down-to-earth character. Factor in his run as our first ever Invitational Champion and you've got a guy who a lot of people want to see win. It looked like he would too, especially when Ty kicked Youth right in the heart, sending him tumbling lifelessly to the mat. A distraction from Reckless' ally Josh Daniels however turned the tide. Reckless capitalized with some beautiful high flying moves which blended seamlessly with some excellent ground-based submissions. Swedish Dave likened Youth's work to that of Zack Sabre Jr. Benny D agreed, pretending he knew who the hell he was talking about. Things were going a little too well for the veteran, however, and RTG's #1 Asshole Derek Frazier simply couldn't allow that. The only person surprised by Frazier's interference was Youth, who ate the biggest Superkick I've seen since Street Fighter II. Hagen looked pissed at the situation, but there was too much at stake for him to let an opportunity like this pass. He rolled up his fallen opponent for what everyone expected to be the win... but at the last moment Youth rolled him over, stealing a sudden pinfall win from out of nowhere! Everyone was shocked, especially Frazier, who showed his class by furiously swearing at the fans, the ref, Daniels and any poor bastard in earshot.

Reckless Youth progressed to the final, in a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action. Reckless Youth defeated Ty Hagen in 13:07 by pinfall. During the match we also saw Josh Daniels distract Ty Hagen, and Derek Frazier also distract Reckless Youth. Match rating: 31.

Frazier was pissed. He rolled back in the ring, grabbed a mic and got right in the face of Hagen, calling him a "pathetic white-trash, two-bit loser" for failing to seal the win. Hagen swung at him, but Frazier dodged and moved across the ring to safety. He then got in the face of Josh Daniels, telling him that regardless of whether he's fully healed from his injuries or not, he'll enjoy breaking Josh's neck tonight in front of the whole world. He said that last time he was just sending a message, that nearly breaking Daniels' neck was just an added bonus. In their match later tonight, he said he wouldn't stop until he was sure Daniels could never walk, let alone wrestle, ever again. He then stormed off in a rage, to the loudest chorus of boos in RTG's short history. Once he was gone, Reckless asked Daniels whether he was sure he was fit enough to fight tonight, explaining the huge risks involved in taking on such a dangerous opponent, saying that Josh was jeopardizing his health and his whole career by competing tonight. Daniels countered that he couldn't risk a loose cannon like Frazier causing the kind of damage that was done to him. After months of agonizing rehabilitation, there was no way he was going to lose his chance at revenge. Angle rating: 38.

Tournament Of Kings Semi-Final 3:

Johnny Riggs vs Matt Stryker

Fighting against a member of the so-called 'Fighters Union' (F.U) used to be a frightening prospect, with the knowledge that your opponent would have up to 3 of their buddies at ringside, ready to kick your ass. Last month, however, something changed. F.U co-leader ZZ Hook was damn-near broken in half by the sadistic Chad Collyer, and is still far too injured to wrestle. Javi Air has gone postal, declaring war on his former comrade Benjamin Bray. This leaves Matt Stryker as the only member of F.U able to take part in the tournament. It was clear from the offset that Stryker's mind was on the problems facing his Union, not on the match tonight. His opponent, young(ish) high flyer Johnny Riggs has been waiting for a chance to prove himself in RTG, and tonight was his night. Riggs was especially fired up as he was finally getting revenge on a member of F.U - he's wanted retribution ever since F.U interfered in his match, cheating him out of a potential #1 Contender's spot. Now was his opportunity to get his own back, and he wasn't going to miss his chance. Even though Stryker managed to demonstrate some really solid technical offense, he was always one step behind the faster, fresher, more motivated Briggs. "He's moving faster than Sonic on crack" noted Benny D. This was evident, for example, when Matt had Briggs in an Elevated Surfboard submission - Riggs somehow wriggled free, following with a hurtful Double Jump Moonsault. Had Stryker been 100% focused here tonight, there was no way he'd have let anyone escape like that. This resulted in Stryker's allies Hook & Bray having to run distraction duty to keep their man in the match - but even this wasn't enough to stop the insatiable Riggs from picking up the biggest win in his RTG career. Stryker looked dismayed after his loss - clearly all is not well in F.U.

Riggs progresses to the final in a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action. Johnny Riggs defeated Matt Stryker in 13:12 by pinfall with an Independent Star. During the match we also saw ZZ Hook distract Johnny Riggs, and Benjamin Bray also distract Johnny Riggs. Match rating: 33.

ZZ Hook, incidentally, was walking with the help of a cane, and had a rather scary-looking back harness on. It's not clear exactly how much damage Collyer did to him, or when / if he'll be back in action - but it looked pretty damn serious to me.

He is one of the best young talents ever to grace the squared circle. He is the greatest second generation fighter around. He is, quite possibly, the future of the whole industry. Ladies and gentlemen... it is with genuine honor and delight that I present to you... Al Magz!" Five bottles of champagne and three super-strength beers down, Father Milo was in fine form as he hyped his protege to the crowd. He said that Magz, who is yet to win here in RTG, had just been unlucky so far. To get his man back on a winning path, Augustini issued an open challenge to anyone brave enough to take on this fearsome fighter. Dixie accepted. Our own Man Of The Cloth asked him if he was absolutely sure he wanted to risk a beating from the former Invitational Title challenger. Dixie just started laughing. Angle rating: 37.

Open Challenge Match:

Al Magz Jr (w/ Father Milo Augustini) vs Dixie

About 30 seconds into the match-up, Magz stopped the action, shouting to our record crowd that it was "720 Splash Time!" I think there's been maybe two guys in wrestling history ever pulled off that move. It was an especially ballsy statement given that his opponent was still on his feet and 100% fresh. Dixie looked on with a mixture of bewilderment and laughter as Magz climbed the top rope... raised one arm in the air... and took flight with the grace and flair of a top ballet dancer. The hang time was incredible, with Magz seeming to literally defy gravity. The rotations he performed would have made any Olympic diver jealous. He flew through the air like a SCUD Missile... and missed Dixie (who hadn't moved) by 4 feet, landing right on top of his head. "Owwwwww!" Magz yelled, writhing around on the canvas like a little girl after a spanking. The crowd applauded as Dixie looked at them, shrugged, then set about a methodical ass-kicking. I'm not saying this was one-sided, but Dixie had time to answer a call on his cell-phone mid-way through the bout. Despite Father Milo banging on the canvas and whipping up the crowd, Magz had about as much chance as Creed had against Ivan Drago. It's perhaps true that he dragged this one out a bit, clearly enjoying the ass-kicking a little too long, but it was still lots of fun. Dixie finished the match with a Roaring Elbow, followed by a rather casual pin. Our winner wasn't even sweating.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Dixie defeated Al Magz Jr in 7:42 by pinfall with a Roaring Elbow. During the match we also had Father Milo Augustini distract Dixie. This match was way too long given who was involved. Match rating: 27.

In an unusual turn of events, Dixie demanded the mic. One of the nicest wrestlers anywhere on the scene, and one of the happiest guys I ever met, Dixie nonetheless has always let his fists do the talking. Not tonight, though. As the crowd listened closely, you could almost see a tear in the man's eye. He said how proud he'd been to represent RTG, and how much fun he'd had wrestling in front of such fine people. However, he announced, it was time for him to go. Working hundreds of miles from his family and his farm is just too hard, he said, so he is hoping to wrestle for someone closer to home. He said he hoped his time with the company had allowed it to grow, and that when people look back, they'll remember him with fondness. "Dixie! Dixie! Dixie" the crowd chanted, giving him the loudest pop he'd ever had. I think he'd planned to say more, but got a little choked up with emotion. I could see a proud smile on his face, however, as he waved goodbye to our fans one last time. A shame really, I really liked that kid. Angle rating: 31.

Next up we had all the members of the Fighter's Union in the ring, all dressed in their customary black leather trench coats and spray-painted t-shirts. There was clearly huge tension among the ranks, as the grudge match between members Javi Air and Benjamin Bray was soon to begin. Father Milo reminded the fans of tonight's stipulation - the winner will be the new #1 Contender for the RTG World Trophy - the loser must leave RTG forever! Before the match could begin, ZZ Hook grabbed the mic. Due to the mauling he'd taken from Collyer, he announced, the discs in his back were badly damaged. Doctors have told him he could wrestle again, after months of painful physiotherapy. Hook is now aged 44 and the Collyer beating made him realize he no longer has what it takes to compete solo at the highest level. Hook announced his in-ring retirement, effective immediately.

The crowd were surprised by this, but not as much as the other members of F.U, who clearly were unaware of Hook's shocking decision. Father Milo was also surprised and saddened by the news, saying a silent prayer for his colleague. Javi didn't seem to care about ZZ though - he was too busy being a dick and chewing gum. Hook said he would continue as 'advisor' to F.U and would still participate, but his ass-kicking days are now officially over. He had one parting shot to offer, however: "Chad Collyer, you sadistic punk bitch! I'm gonna be watchin' real close as Tommy Kim tears you to bits tonight, bro. I'm gonna enjoy it. Then once he's done kicking your ass, me an' my buddies in the Fighter's Union are gonna settle business with your punk ass. We're gonna go Medieval on this bitch. The moment that final bell rings in your match tonight, consider yourself a marked man. Collyer, you smug, career-ending motherf**cker, your days are numbered. Game over, biatch! And if ya don't like it, F.U!" The crowd clearly liked what they'd heard. Angle rating: 34.

#1 Contenders Match

Loser Leaves RTG Forever:

Javi Air vs Benjamin Bray

Opinion is still split over whether this 'Fighters Union' will be beneficial for RTG or wrestling in general. There's a lot of people who think that a proactive group for wrestlers, by wrestlers, will be a good thing. But as things currently stand, we may never know - just a few short months into it's life, F.U already had a civil war on it's hands. Ever since Bray got the title shot Javi thought he deserved, the feud has simmered. Now we're in a situation where no matter what, one of F.U's members will be gone forever after tonight. With everything to fight for, both men went at it full-tilt. At first it was Bray with the upper hand, his aerial skills being ever so slightly more prominent than Javi's. But as with most newly-turned bad guys, Javi had a ton of tricks up his sleeve. Thumbs to the eyes, kicks to the crotch, cheap shots from behind, shots to the throat - if you can think of an underhanded move, Javi did it, probably twice. Ric Flair would've been proud. The fans sang "you're a dick! You're a dick" every time he got the upper hand, but Javi didn't care - the stakes were too high. ZZ Hook was too hurt to actively intervene for either man, and Stryker was still battered and bruised after his tournament bout earlier. The match was fast, evenly contested and could've gone either way. But as with all grudge matches of this nature, there can only be one winner. When Javi missed a Shooting Star Press, Bray grabbed any limb he could, latching on a brutal-looking Fujiwara Armbar for the most important win of his career. Javi looked genuinely battered and beaten afterwards, but Bray's stiffer work is making him look a lot more dangerous in the ring, especially tonight.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Benjamin Bray defeated Javi-Air in 12:53 by submission. During the match we saw ZZ Hook and Matt Stryker surprisingly not intervening at all, making this possibly the only truly clean result in F.U's history to date. Match rating: 33.

As the bell rang, Javi didn't hang about, storming to the back in a petulant, venomous rage, never to be seen in RTG again. "Javi is gone!!!!" Swedish Dave yelled from his announcer's position. The fans heard this, breaking into a chorus of "La la la la, hey hey hey, goodbye!" ZZ Hook then got on the mic to add a few choice words. Hook declared that "F.U is a force for unity, not division". He verbally slammed Javi for forcing internal conflict in the group for his own ends, calling him "a selfish, self-worshipping dick-slime". He then said F.U will become bigger and stronger as a result of "getting rid of a poison from within". The remaining 3 members of F.U celebrated the win - but it was a heavy-hearted celebration. The group will take some serious re-building from here. Angle rating: 44.

RTG Tournament Of Kings - Grand Final

Triple Threat Elimination Match

Winner Gets A Shot At The RTG World Trophy, Runner-Up Gets A Shot At The RTG Invitational Title:

Nooie Lee vs Reckless Youth vs Johnny Riggs

It's amazing how much noise 81 rabid fans can make when fed enough alcohol. I remember when I was a young rookie, starting out in the business, I'd work the occasional dark match for XPW (thanks Shane.) I thought the noise there would be the loudest I ever heard - the fans there were crazed, drunken and scary. This came a close second. WWE take note - a sold-out arena doesn't mean shit if everyone's just sat there not having any fun. Our fans were having FUN. They loved this match, and were clearly very excited to see who'd win the final - I think this whole Tournament Of Kings thing has captured their imagination. The rowdy crowd really lifted the whole match, and brought out the very best in all three participants. Nooie Lee was like a one man army out there, kicking ass like his life depended on it. We're debating whether to call him 'Kick Ass' Nooie Lee from now on - that's how memorable his performance was. Reckless was the calm epicenter at the core of this match, keeping the whole thing coherent and ensuring the match kept to a solid story. Without his experience and calming influence there's a chance Nooie and Riggs would have turned this into a 500mph spot-fest. But he kept this in line and was worth his weight in gold. Johnny has been adding real technical know-how to his game since coming to RTG, and improved significantly further in this match. It was as even as they come, and the crowd had no clue who'd win.

In the last couple of minutes of the final, the shit really hit the fan, and the pace of the match reached a whole new level. Derek Frazier appeared on the ring apron, screaming some extremely imaginative foul language at Reckless Youth, which gave Riggs the upper hand for a while. Josh Daniels was soon on the scene to subdue Frazier, however, and also did a great job of distracting Nooie. Seeing his friend Nooie being tied up with Daniels, Jerrelle Clark then made his presence known, dragging him out of the ring and pushing him back down the runway. Finally, with all interfering parties gone, we were left with just three determined athletes in the ring. This is when Youth's years of wrestling experience came to his advantage. He allowed Riggs and Lee to beat the living crap out of each other, using the time wisely to recover. Riggs hit his finisher The Independent Star for the 3 count, eliminating Nooie. Johnny got to his feet to celebrate, but within a split-second Reckless was on him. Reckless grabbed him from behind, pulling him to the canvas with urgent brutality, seamlessly sliding on a devastating Kata Ha Jime submission. Riggs tapped. He had no choice. Nobody could have withstood the force Youth put behind that hold. It was a perfect example of clinical, methodical finishing, and it paid off for him big time.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Reckless Youth defeated Nooie Lee and Johnny Riggs in 15:14; the order of elimination was Nooie Lee first, and then Johnny Riggs. The match also had a lot of interference: Derek Frazier distracted Reckless Youth, Josh Daniels distracted Nooie Lee, and finally Jerrelle Clark distracted Johnny Riggs. Match rating: 45.

Chad Collyer has written his name in the pages of RTG history in the blood and pain of others. Since the moment he arrived, he's brutalized opponents and has focused more on inflicting punishment than actually competing. He deliberately threw the chance to be the first ever RTG Invitational Champion, for instance, just so he could focus all his attention on hurting his hated enemy Tommy Kim. And here he was, back in the RTG ring with that sick, sadistic grin all over his face, seemingly feeding off the boos and jeers of our biggest ever crowd. "Tommy Kim made the biggest - and last - mistake of his career when he disrespected me. After a fluke win over yours truly, I offered him the glory of a rematch. He could have learned so much by sharing the ring with me again, and could have told his grandchildren about being one of so few to survive fighting Chad Collyer twice. But no. He disrespected me by choosing to fight some two-bit loser for tome tin-pot trinket title instead. He crossed the line. I offered him greatness, he threw it back in my face. I have left broken backs and broken dreams in over a dozen countries. I've had my hands on more gold trinkets than the English royal family. But all this game boils down to in the end is respect. Glory is temporary. Even the shiniest trophy shall fade. But respect? That lasts forever. It is respect that forges legacies. It is legacies that make us immortal. Tommy Kim, tonight you become just another chapter in my legacy. I will use you as an example to all, showing the world what happens when you defy greatness. You are nearly broken. Tonight, in this ring, I'll see to it you are destroyed." It took a while to clear the ring of all the stuff our fans threw at him. It's a good thing none of them were armed. Angle rating: 40.

Chad Collyer vs Tommy Kim

Few thought Tommy Kim would even make it to the ring tonight, such was the scale of the physical dismantling he's suffered over countless months. Chad promised him a world of pain. He delivered. Collyer promised him he would be broken down to the point of near-helplessness. He delivered. The veteran gloated that he'd do all this without laying a finger on Kim. Thanks to his manipulation, he delivered on this also, cunningly steering Tommy's opponents into badly damaging Kim's legs. Month after month the torture would continue, each time adding fresh injury to those already suffered. Finally it all became too much, with Tommy's body no longer able to match his heart. His right leg had been damaged so badly he was unable to compete. It seemed to everyone that tonight would be the final nail in the coffin, the end of the Tommy Kim story. Everyone, that is, except Tommy Kim himself. The very act of climbing through the ring ropes drew a standing ovation from our fans. Chad was appalled by this and went straight in for the kill.

He targeted the injured right leg like a shark targeting it's prey. It was like a cat torturing a mouse. Brutal running Dropkicks to the hurt area would collapse Tommy like a broken boxer falling to the canvas. Chad, laughing his twisted ass off, would watch Tommy slowly drag himself back to his feet, before kicking the legs out from under him again. Then he piled on the pressure more and more, first with a Single Leg Boston Crab on the wounded leg, then a Sharpshooter, then the same agonizing Texas Cloverleaf that ended ZZ Hook's in-ring career. Every time, Tommy refused to quit. No matter how much pain he was in, no matter how sickening the hold, Kim refused to let Collyer beat him. Collyer grew sick and angry with Kim's continued refusal to submit, and decided to end things with a devastating-looking Figure Four Leg Lock. The force behind it was such that it nearly ripped Kim's injured right leg out the socket. Collyer screamed in fury as Tommy refused to tap, despite referee Bill Clark begging him to do so. The hold was on for nearly two minutes, but felt like an eternity. Finally Kim's body could take no more, and he fell into near-unconsciousness. As this happened, Kim's head was just below the bottom rope, so Chad was forced to break the hold. Chad got to his feet, raising his arm in victory, signalling for the kill.

He turned around and got the surprise of his life. Tommy Kim was back on his feet! The crowd went wild! Yelling in frustration, Collyer laid into Kim with a series of huge rights and lefts to the head, but still Kim wouldn't fall. The fans got louder and louder, as suddenly Kim burst into life, feeding off the crowd's noise and growing stronger by the second. He laid into the shell-shocked Collyer with his trademark brutal Knife Edge Chops like a man possessed. "F**k him up Tommy, f**k him up" sang the fans. He Irish Whipped Collyer into the ropes, hitting the biggest damned Spinebuster I ever saw. Then without a moment's hesitation, he grabbed Collyer's legs and applied a Figure Four Leg Lock of his own! Collyer fought it as best he could, using his experience and ring generalship to maneuver himself safely to the ropes. Collyer looked more shocked than hurt, his face the picture of amazement that Kim had somehow found the strength to fight back. Despite the obvious agony in his legs, Kim dragged his wounded frame to the top rope, launching impossibly into his Manila Moonsault finisher! The referee made the count. What seemed impossible had actually happened - and nobody was more shocked than Collyer. It was then that announcer Swedish Dave let the fans in on a little secret. Tommy Kim had lied all along about which leg was injured - it was infact his left leg that'd fallen to the months of abuse, not the right. Collyer had spent tonight's match working on the wrong leg! Chad was beyond furious, storming off to the back in a rage, his pride wounded much more than his body. Kim had turned the tables, out-smarting his crafty opponent, and in doing so picking up the win that settled the score.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Tommy Kim defeated Chad Collyer in 18:24 by pinfall with a Manila Moonsault. Match rating: 46.

With one grudge match out the way, another was ready to start. Only moments after Kim's name had finished echoing through Mickey D's Scrap Yard, the entrance music of Derek Frazier blared though the sound system. Cheers turned to boos in an instant, not that this deterred RTG's number one asshole from running his mouth. "Josh Daniels, you has-been, worn-out, yesterday's news motherf**ker! Finally I get the chance to end your shitty, worthless career once and for all. It'll be like putting a lame dog out of it's misery. This won't be a wrestling match, it'll be a mercy killing. The highlight of your career was when I damn-near broke your neck all those months ago. Since then you've been like a broken-down, dying old racehorse that kept on crawling towards the finish line, too dumb to die. Tonight won't be entertainment, it'll be euthanasia as I finish the job. I nearly crippled your old, worthless ass last time. My only mistake was allowing you time to recover. I won't make that mistake twice, Josh. Tonight will be the last match of your career. You ain't gonna walk out of this one, Daniels. You ain't walkin' anywhere, ever, ever, ever again." The crowd were incensed and yelled abuse at Frazier - not that he gave a shit. Josh Daniels (w/ Reckless Youth) vs Derek Frazier

The doctors had warned Josh not to wrestle. His friend and ally Reckless Youth had expressed huge concerns for his well-being. Even our drunken, bloodthirsty fans were nervous about his health. It had been only a few short months since the night his neck and back were so severely injured. His painful recovery had been rushed, and many were worried that a fight of this magnitude would be too much, too soon. Everyone was scared that he'd be re-injured again, this time with even more drastic and permanent consequences. Everyone except Frazier, who seemed to get off on the obvious pain and discomfort shown by Daniels as he climbed through the ropes. He licked his lips in sick anticipation, seemingly on a mission to destroy the man in front of him. Daniels looked nervous, jaded even - stepping into the ring with the man who nearly crippled him clearly weighed heavy on his mind.

http://twistededge.org/RTG/Josh_Daniels2.jpg

You didn't have to be a doctor to see Daniels

wasn't anywhere near 100% going into this one.

It was the returning Daniels who started the brightest, unleashing months of pent-up anger and frustration into an early wave of attacks. The fans applauded, enjoying watching the villainous Frazier getting his comeuppance. Daniels' offense revolved around surprising Derek with his speed, all of his moves coming while running at his shocked opponent. A running Powerbomb started things with a bang. A Tiger Bomb had the place rocking. A Leaping, Running DDT gave the impression that Josh had never been injured. A Flying Neckbreaker even looked more like the attack of a young man, not a recently injured veteran. The tide turned soon after that though. Some of our fans let their hatred of Frazier blind them to what a clever fighter he can be. Sensing the match was slipping away from him, he struck Daniels with a brutal Karate Kick to the side of his recently wounded neck. Our returning hero fell like he'd been shot. Instantly you could tell something was wrong, that he was in much more pain than you'd expect from such a move. Frazier was all over it, sensing the weakness. A Rolling Neckbreaker softened Daniels up more. A Camel Clutch followed by a Crippler Crossface sent agony through Daniels' body, making it obvious that despite a hot start, Daniels was far from 100%. Josh was screaming in agony, his whole body trembling with pain. Our rowdy crowd suddenly got very, very quiet. The face of Reckless Youth was a picture of frightened concern. "F**k you Derek, f**k you" came the chant from our fans.

In a strange turn of events, both men had swapped tactics. Previously Frazier was the one using speed to his advantage. Before it had been Daniels with the painful submission moves. This seemed to work to the younger, fresher Frazier's advantage. As he pulled back yet further on the Crossface, Daniels was losing consciousness. The hold seemed to last an eternity, punctuated by Josh yelling out in agony. Somehow Daniels made it to the ropes, but by then the injuries he'd received had clearly had their toll. He was lifeless and un-moving. Frazier could have pinned him for the win, but sensed weakness and decided to punish his opponent. He scooped Daniels up, hitting a huge Tombstone Piledriver, right on that injured neck. The crowd gasped in horror. Again, Frazier had this won, but his sadistic streak was in full flow. Reckless Youth was up on the apron, begging the referee to stop the match. This distracted Frazier, giving Daniels enough time to drag himself back to his feet. Frazier was back on him, however, smashing the neck again with a giant Tornado DDT. Daniels screamed in pain. Finally the sadistic Frazier decided enough was enough, grabbing Daniels for the pin... only for a lightning fast roll-through by Josh, who grabbed any limb he could, latching on an Ankle Lock with his very last bit of strength! Frazier was taken completely surprise, and was too far from the ropes to escape - he had no choice but to tap out! The referee rang the bell to finish the match, as Daniels collapsed lifelessly to the floor. He somehow got the win, but this was by far the most painful war he ever encountered.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Josh Daniels defeated Derek Frazier in 18:26 by submission. During the match we also had Reckless Youth distract Derek Frazier. Josh Daniels was visibly tiring towards the end. Match rating: 49.

The fans were at fever pitch having witnessed Josh Daniels' unlikely victory. With two huge matches having just taken place, there was a huge weight of expectation placed on the next match. Our authority Father Milo came to the ring to announce who would face our RTG Invitational Champion Extreme Tiger, and sensed immediately the crowd were running red hot. As Tiger came to the ring they jumped up and down like crazy, chanting his name, doing Mexican dances, the works. I honestly didn't think they could possibly get more excited. Extreme Tiger © vs Sonjay Dutt

For The RTG Invitational Title

I'm not going to play games here. I'm just going to say it. This was the greatest match in the history of Road To Glory Wrestling, to date. These two guys killed it. While it's true we've become more about crisp technical wrestling as time has gone by, the fans still love a good dose of high-flying action, which these two guys brought in spades. You don't really need me to tell you the ins-and-outs of this one, other than to say it was like watching two superhumans go at it. "Este tipo es totalmente locos!" Extreme Tiger yelled upon seeing the moves Dutt unleashed. "Alguien me da una ametralladora!" Tiger yelled, as Sonjay landed yet another dazzling maneuver. He was right too, Dutt moved so fast you couldn't have hit him with a machine-gun.

Anyone who can outperform Extreme Tiger is serious business. He landed his trademark moves like the 'Bombay Buster', the 'Hindu Press' and something called an 'Indian Summer' as well as other crazy shit like a Top Rope Dragonrana. It seemed finally as though Tiger had met his match, until Tiger got his knees up, defending himself against some lightning fast Moonsault type thing. In true Lucha style, Extreme found himself magically healed by the applause of the fans, this new-found power of recovery enabled him to mysteriously forget all the damage he'd taken during the first half of the match. Nobody cared though, as he went about the rest of the match with a spectacular grace that defied words. The match was ridiculous. I'm out of breath just thinking about it. Oh, Tiger won by the way. The ending happened so fast you'd need ultra-HD-slow-motion just to see what the hell move finished it. But everyone knows the fans were the real winners here.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Extreme Tiger defeated Sonjay Dutt in 14:42 by pinfall with a 450 Splash. Extreme Tiger makes defence number 4 of his RTG Invitational Title. Match rating: 61.

And so we came to the main event of our biggest ever show. The fans were nearly burned out after the fast-paced, breathless action of the previous match. However, thanks to their insatiable thirsts and Mickey D's industrial-strength beer, they had just enough energy for one last battle. The boos were deafening as I came to the ring, holding (what's left of) the RTG World Trophy high above my head. Sure, the head is missing off the trophy since Draven bashed my skull with it. Yes, one of the arms is missing since it was used to bust me open, again by Draven. But this is still the most coveted treasure in our fed, and no way was I letting it go without a fight. Tonight's battle would be more than just a battle for Top Dog status in RTG. Tonight would mark the high-point in the winner's career. Ruben T Garrison © vs Aaron Draven

For The RTG World Trophy

For a whole year, Draven has been frustrated in his attempts at becoming champion. It has become his obsession - a desire that drives him, that has become almost his reason for living. It would be fair to say he's been waiting for this moment his whole career. He charged at me like a man possessed the moment the bell rang, furiously unleashing punches and kicks as if his life depended on it. He then began a series of fast, calculated moves which were all designed to try and score a flash pinfall victory. A Running Neckbreaker followed by a La Magistral Cradle Pin. Then a Running Bulldog followed by a Backslide Pin. A Running High Knee with a Schoolboy Pin immediately following it. A huge yet lightning quick Lung Blower, into a Small Package Pin. Each move barely seconds after the last, all in one relentless wave of movement and energy. I managed to get a claw-hold back in the match by doing what I do best - blatantly cheating. The ref was pissed, but my Superman Punch directly to Draven's groin bought me some time to recover from his initial onslaught. I quickly Powerbombed him hard into the mat, trying desperately to slow the pace of the match. He leaped to his feet, only for me to floor him again with a Clothesline From Hell that'd make Bradshaw swoon. But yet again he shot back up - it was impossible to slow him down. A Back Body Drop briefly halted him from running at me. A Capture Suplex halted another swift attack of his. But every time he hit the canvas - no matter how hard - he was straight back up again. It was like he didn't feel pain. The enthusiastic little bastard had turned invincible. Even a Superkick right to the face, which would have flattened a man twice his size, didn't stop him. Swedish Dave noticed right away that my strategy had been to slow the pace down and nullify Draven's quick attacks, but no way was the self-proclaimed 'Omega' letting that happen. Looking back, I could've hit the guy with a Bazooka and it wouldn't have stopped him, such was his desire to finally make this his night.

I looked a defeated man as he shocked me with a Rock Bottom from out of nowhere. The crowd was on it's feet, chanting his name, singing "do it Draven, do it!" He picked me back up, before squashing me with his OmegaBomb finisher! 1... 2... but I kicked out just in time. Draven was visibly amazed I'd kicked out of his finishing move. I stumbled up to my feet, but he was waiting for me again, this time hitting me with a Hart Attack, using my own finisher against me! 1... 2... but again I kicked out! The crowd couldn't believe it. Visibly shocked, Draven scooped me up, lifting me into a Powerbomb position, before throwing me spine-first into the turnbuckles. The noise my body made on impact was sickening. I made a noise that sounded like a death rattle. As I bounced back towards him, Draven hit the biggest OmegaBomb of his whole career, damn-near cutting me in half! 1... 2... but I kicked out again, this time it was about as close as a near-fall could possibly be. The crowd couldn't believe it. Draven couldn't believe it. Even the ref couldn't believe it. But no way was I giving up my beloved RTG Trophy while there was still a hint of life left in me. All my life I was told I wouldn't amount to anything. Until I founded RTG they'd be right. Winning the RTG World Trophy was by far the highlight of my career - no way was I letting it go while there was still breath in my lungs. It would take something extreme to rip away my title - unfortunately Draven was more than willing to comply. A spectacularly devastating Powerbomb from the top rope to the outside, to the concrete floor below, knocked me damn near unconscious. I don't remember much after that, as my skull bounced off the ground like a Basketball. I just remember lights, then movement, and the sound of a 1,2,3 rattling right through my skull.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Aaron Draven defeated Ruben T Garrison in 14:33 by pinfall with an OmegaWave. Aaron Draven wins the RTG World Trophy title. Garrison took a crazy bump during this match. Match rating: 48.

Swedish Dave's excited scream was YouTube gold. It was full of genuine emotion, full of true delight at a worthy contender finally getting his dues and being elevated to champion. This was the highlight of Aaron's career, and everyone knew it. As he jumped up and down with delight, the fans chanted "Draven! Draven! In full celebration, Draven offered to shake my hand, putting a whole year of rivalry and bloodshed behind us. I refused, instead snatching the RTG World Trophy off the referee, refusing to let it go. Father Milo commanded that I hand it to the new RTG World Champion 'Omega' Aaron Draven, but I refused, instead smashing it against the canvas, over and over again. With each impact the trophy broke more and more, each time more pieces went flying away, until there was nothing left but a pile of broken, twisted metal. I then threw the remains of the trophy into the crowd, before hot-footing it to the back. There may be a new champion in RTG, but he wouldn't have a Trophy to take home with him, I'd made sure of that.

Even that couldn't dampen the mood, however, as pretty much the entire roster came out to the ring to celebrate. The image of Draven being lifted high into the air, then carried around on everyone's shoulders, would become one of the company's defining moments for years to come. Venue owner Mickey D brought out a case of whiskey, passing bottles to everyone. After a huge night for everyone at RTG Wrestling, it was time to celebrate! Angle rating: 45.

Damn you Bill Clark, you screwed up my predictions!

I hope Jerrelle slaps the hell out of you next month!

Seeing as Jerrelle is facing F.U in a Gauntlet Match next show, in which Bill Clark is the referee, there's every chance of that lol!
