Say Farewell to your TEW2013 Saves

Recommended Posts

Damn... I am going to miss this save. From May 2015 to January 2020.

Goodbye Cody Rhodes who after years wandering around independent scene came to my WWE in 2019, fought two A* matches with Daniel Bryan and now hold the second most prestigious title in business - NWA Heavyweight champion

Goodbye Jay Lethal who couple of years back raised to be my #1 heel but never hold the championship until WrestleMania 35. Now he is #1 babyface and WWE Heavyweight champion.

Goodbye Christopher Daniels who hasn't aged in 5 years at all. Best (and current) Intercontinental champion.

Goodbye John Cena who I turned heel and he put on some of the best matches in five years and then started to decline.

Goodbye Mistico who, when not acting like an ass, wrestled as company's #1 babyface until year earlier when he got injured. Probably the best match in last five years was Hell In A Cell in bloody feud including Jay Lethal and Mistico.

Goodbye Kazuchika Okada who I hired year earlier. He held Tag championship with Ricochet and I was planning to make him WIN Royal Rumble.

Goodbye Roderick Strong and thanks for putting on awesome matches even without charisma

Goodbye Dean Ambrose... who is #1 wrestler in the business in my opinion. He held WWE Heavyweight championship almost two years straight and had some of the best feuds in whole save. I will miss this.

Goodbye TEW 2013! :')

Goodbye to my WWE 13-16 game. I've re-created that save on my database to convert to 16 and continue. But nonetheless...

Goodbye to an all women's wrestling brand that rivals RAW and Smackdown in quality.

Goodbye to Portia Perez being the top heel in the industry.

Goodbye to the best tag team division the WWE has seen since the 1980's.

Goodbye to a world where I can fire the Bella Twins for behavior whilst still editing myself to be best friends with Daniel Bryan.

Goodbye to an over Roman Reigns.

Goodbye to a world where John Cena vs Stone Cold Steve Austin wasn't even the top billed match at Wrestle Mania.

Goodbye to a world where Tammy Sytch isn't an overbearing, and most likely bigoted "See You Next Tuesday."

Goodbye to a world where wrestling was cool again... :(

I decided to do a game where every year I took a screenshot of the main guys in my promotion. As a result I have an interesting chronicle of my 1987-2000 game. Which is now the longest game I've ever played in TEW.

The longest save I ever had was with Lethal Ring, in the C-Verse. It was a great six year ride, stuck in freaking Hawaii.

Goodbye Rob Reynolds. I hired you on a whim and you became the man. My most solid worker for years and the only three time champion.

Goodbye Masked Patriot. Thanks for being my first champion. Sorry I had so little for you to do after that.

Goodbye, Crimson Ghost, Amazing Fire Fly and Starr Princess. Together, you were a weird tag team and faction, but easily my most reliable and entertaining group. Thanks for putting worse teams over.

Goodbye, Kid San Juan. I hired you for your tag team, but somehow you worked into the main event and even won the belt.

Goodbye, Daniel Erickson. You were just some random WWA trainee, but damn if you weren't talented. Sorry about your face.

I deleted my saves, but i'll recall a few memories.

WWF - 1983:

Goodbye Bad News Brown, i enjoyed pushing the hell out of you as a midcarder and having you as a potential option to dethrone Bob Backlund if Andre The Giant refused to let me have The Iron Sheik.

I hope i can grew the AWA to Cult despite it's performance over popularity stance, the faster it's possible so the WWF or MACW don't pry on me.

WCW - 1991:

Goodbye Sabu and Masuta (Al Snow), i'll never the forget the great chemistry you had.

WCCW - 1987

Goodbye Mr. T, you were the greatest WCCW commisioner.

Goodbye Cablevision, if weren't by you, the Von Erich wouldn't be alive thanks to the PPV.

Goodbye to my Indy company i started in 2015 and ended in 2024.

Goodbye to Randy Orton that got released from WWE in 2022 and main evented pretty much all my shows.

Goodbye to all the jobbers i had to push my top guys

Goodbye to Chris Sabin and Chuck Taylor who scored my all time best rating of 87 in a awesome feud, to leave the company 1 month later as they both signed a written deal in japan.

Goodbye to my Quebec Wrestler, Mike Bailey who won my top championship, to leave 2 months later as he signed a written deal in japan.

Goodbye to Buxx Belmar who had 5 Overdoses in 3 years. Hard to push the guy.

Goodbye to Christopher Daniels who was so old, his ratings went sh*t

Goodbye to the most fun game I've played with TEW.

Hours and hours of play.... Goodbye.

Goodbye World Class 1988-June 1991 on TEW 2013. I hope I'll have a finished mod so I can continue onward in TEW 2016.

Goodbye Terry Gordy, the Flair program and a run on top is coming in 92. I promise.

Goodbye Bill Irwin, if you ever would have had decent chemistry with a partner, you’d probably be competing for the tag titles.

Goodbye Arn Anderson, who I was finally able to sign a week and a half ago and still has five days left on his WCW contract and two of their championships.

Goodbye Tom Prichard, if you’d stop being a prick I’d probably give you the upper midcard strap or a PPV main event.

Goodbye Kerry Von Erich, after kicking the hard drugs and steroids, you are clearly my top babyface for another few years.

Goodbye Steve Austin, one day there’s a big push for you, but right now, I’m trying to keep you from getting an ego.

Goodbye Buddy Jack Roberts, Bruiser Brody, Terry and Dory Funk, you’re all deteriorating rapidly, but I really want you as road agents, so I won’t fire you. Please hang it up. You only get one Terry.

Goodbye Vince Apollo and Jeff Gaylord, after years without a win, you guys had great chemistry, so you got to finally win the Texas Tag titles on the last day.

Goodbye Mike Awesome, sorry I tagged you with Bryan Clark and he’s a steroid-abusing douche who keeps screwing things up for you.

Goodbye Ric Flair, and your desire to take all of my jobbers that I only intended to have for 9 months under your wing as proteges.

Goodbye Louie Spicolli, one decade you’ll leave developmental.

Goodbye Kid Kash, I know you thought it was a bit much for me to fire you after you started a fight with a main eventer on your second show for the company when you were enhancement talent. Even though you hate me, I hope your attitude doesn’t suck anymore.

Goodbye Fritz Von Erich, your video game tournaments and victories are things of legend. I like to believe in this world you got into that tournament from The Wizard.

Back in 2008 I first discovered EWR. I started a game in which I created the MWL, Since I didn't know what I was doing I still had the default 2003 database, so in 2008 I had guys on my roster like John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, MVP, Edge, and Chris Benoit. I had fun and slowly started to learn about Indy wrestling.

Then I got TEW2008 and I modded a database to bring my save over. Once TEW2010 came out I moved the save over as well, as with TEW2013. Over those years I changed a lot, I learned a lot about wrestling, and looking back at my old EWR game I notice a lot of stupid decisions I made. (Edge's 2 day world title reign, Roakill's midcard push, a big tournament to decide who I legitimately fire.)

With TEW2016 approaching I feel it is an appropriate time to end. The world just feels so weird from the switching of databases, and the original EWR game being the wrong year. Also the company grew a huge rate as a result. It now has 4 TV shows and three brands (one solely women) with 94 wrestlers. So I will let the MWL die. The game was near what was going to be my second biggest event of year, so it will now be my series finale. I think with TEW2016 I will do a reboot. Create a new MWL at a regional level and have an accurate database. I've always found regional companies to be a lot of fun to book.

So goodbye MWL 2008-2015 (real life time & in game time).

Wow this thread is both hilarious and sad at the same time. I have to keep reminding myself that the fun will continue with the new game!

Goodbye to all of my 80's saves. Wrestling will never be as beautiful as it was back then, so it has been great reliving and changing some of those memories.

Goodbye to AWA. I'm glad that I was able to help you overtake Vince. Stan Hansen taking the title from Rick Martel was my first wrestling heartbreak as a kid, and I'm happy I was able to give that feud a bigger stage.

Goodbye to JCP. For some reason I loved giving jobbers big pushes. The JCP jobbers were just so darn good.

Goodbye to WWF. Adrian Adonis was given everything he deserved, and became a triple crown champion (IC title, WWF heavyweight title, and tag titles with Piper). His match against Hogan at Wrestlemania 3 was pretty spectacular, at least in my head, and it was great fun taking all of the titles off of him. I think he would have pulled it off really well in real life. I'll be pushing him to the stars again in TEW2016, and have already outlined some new feuds for him.

Goodbye to NSWA, my Toronto-based 80's fed. It was really hard to watch AWA and NWA die sooner because of me. I'll try to have more fun with it next time and do things differently.

Goodbye to mid-90's WWF, where I couldn't stand any of the wrestlers even in the game, and just felt like running the company into the ground because of them.

Goodbye to my modern day feds, where I could never fully decide which direction I wanted to go. I have big plans for a North American takeover by NJPW and a different idea for a Japanese company starting in North America that I am looking forward to running in the new game.

Man this is a great game series. See you all again in the new game!

Goodbye to my SWF Save using the 1997 C-Verse, I will never have a save like this ever again. When I first started it I wanted to delve into the 97 C-Verse because I kept hearing how good it was but never gave it a shot. When I play SWF in the current day database I never last long before falling down to cult and then I lose interest very quickly. But with this 1997 C-Verse SWF Save I did things I never thought possible.

Christian Faith was a World Champion for 3 years 7 months how I did that I have no idea.

I've had over 20 matches get a 100 rating and Christian Faith was in most of them. My goal with this save was to get to 1000 shows held in the save but with TEW 2016's release date nearing I don't think it's possible given my work schedule.

Hopefully when I pick up TEW 2016 I can try and do a save half as good as this one, and maybe I'll give the SWF in the 97 C-Verse another go and try to replicate what I did in 2013 but that remains to be seen. Either way nothing will ever compare to this save but then again I said this very same thing with my CGC save in 2010 and then I got this save.

Thanks for the fantastic Mods Genadi, I'm looking forward and will be waiting very impatiently until you hopefully release the 87 database for TEW16.

Thanks Captain2 for making me lose interest in my 87 save and allowing me to use a copy of your saves. Fantastic booking and stories from your game that I always enjoyed reading and on TEW16 i'll be trying to surpass how long you done on the game and improve my own booking xD

My Aim being to get from 87 to the current day which could be possible with the autobooker being upgraded to do a showor two when I hit a wall.

If you hit a wall, do something crazy on the roster! Create a fake scandal and release top stars or something! You can always make it interesting. If I ever thought my game was getting "easy" I would create an event that would shake my roster!

I've not read many diaries on here (my aim is to before TEW16 comes out)

I wouldn't be able to do diary that was highly detailed and lengthy and done like twice a week but I was considering about doing a diary with a world update every so often.

That would mean sticking to my long term plans however.

I would wait until I got a year or two into it , write a few reports in advance.. maybe do a report for every month of shows and post it up every so often. Maybe create a narrative, I'll see.

Even what Captain2 done on the 'whats going on in your game' thead with his updates maybe similar to what I'll try.

.............

I used to give guys who caused trouble way too much leeway if I like them, had plans for them and if they were still performing. So for the TEW16 onwards I'm considering doing a 3 strike rule (more or less depending on what they have done) That should shake things up when Hogan has pissed me off too much, gets jobbed out and released in like 1988 forcing me to find a new figurehead early.

I'm also planning changes of generations. A clear change from the Hogan era to the New Gen era. That may mean a complete or almost complete releasing of anyone old... The Hogans, Flairs, pipers, dibiase, Jake Roberts, Steamboat. Have 1991 be their last mania on top and use them the rest of the year to get over the New Generation guys and be 1992's WM be the start of the New Gen.

Maybe 1992 Mania will be

Bret def Hogan for the title

HBK defeats Flair

The Undertaker defeats Piper

Razor defeats Dibiase

etc

......

Although I'm half tempted to book JCP into the transition to WCW from a southern Rasslin company to a Global Powerhouse.

Goodbye to my C-verse '77 save where Sid and Dusty streets shocked the world by revealing live on SWF Sunday Slamfest that their father, the great Rocky Streets, perpetuated domestic violence and they really were raised in terrible fear. Rocky Streets then joined up with the allied Corporal Doom and Papa Voodoo who months later cast a spell on Sid Streets and turned him into Drakaris, a vampire gimmick that was extremely successful with the fans.

Finally said goodbye to my CGC diary game by posting what would have happened if it were to continue. I always thought I'd get back to it someday, and even in the darker days I held off from posting details on the next chapters, because I simply loved some of the content too much.

With TEW'16 coming out, I'm never going back to it. It's a shame, but a 2 year diary isn't so bad.

Time travel though...

Goodbye to my first and only Tew 2013 save with WWE from 2015-18

Goodbye to Kevin Owens who got wrestler of the year in 2017 and had a crazy 9 month spell with the WHC while also holding the Tag Titles for two months with Sami Zayn at the same time.

Goodbye to R-truth whose one day reign with the WHC was my favourite thing to book in the whole save and he went on to defeat John Cena for the US Title just 2 days later.

Goodbye to Vince Mcmahon (I was owner as Triple H) who lost against Steve Austin one last time when Vince's man- Sin Cara (who actually got quite over) lost to Austin's man Kalisto at Wrestlemania 33. Vince died 2 weeks later so I gave Sin Cara a 2 month US Title reign and we had a whole PPV named after him.

Sorry to Randy Orton who left the company halfway through 2016 after losing to Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, Kalisto and CM Punk in 4 ppv's in a row.

Finally thank you to Bray Wyatt and the best WHC that I had where every main event and promo he had got over 85.

I guess my biggest good bye will be to my longest running USPW game. running from 2013 until the July 2018 (just booked IDS 2018)

Sam Strong become the biggest heel in the company (he was my user character so didnt have to worry about him retiring) leading USPW World Champion Andrew "The Wolf" Hawkins, USPW National Champion Jumbo Jackson, Bruce the Giant, USPW Television Champion Andre Jones, USPW Tag Team Champions The Heartbreakers (Roger Cage and Jack Griffiths) as the Strong Army to dominate the company from IDS 2013 until IDS2014 where they were defeated by the mix matched group of Captain USA II (Valiant Vs Hawkins), Nicky Hawk (formerly champion Vs Sam Strong), "Cowboy" Ricky Dale (Vs Bruce) and the Californian Surfers Frankie Perez and Mikey James (Vs Cage and Griffiths).

The Patriot Kid (KC Glenn) turning his back on his mentor Captain USA II costing him the world title and becoming a super villian known as The Redneck Wrestling Machine. While The captain found his replacement Patriot Kid II in Casey Valentine who also betrayed the good captain, again costing him the world title, to join forces with his uncle peter. The captain tried once again introducing a patriot kid III (a random gen with decent in ring skills and average mic skills). as of the end of the game they were still a unit and Captain USA is currently on his 3rd run as the world champion.

turning the likes of T-Rex, Dusty Duncott and Atlas into solid midcard acts or in the case of T-Rex to the point of been a main eventer (even holding the USPW World title for 12 days when i accidently booked him to win over then champion James Justice.)

The failed tag run of The Scout and The Force (as the Scout Forces) that saw them fail to get over in anyway (or in scouts case losing 12 overness across the US after one loss to the heartbreakers).

Tyson Baine been replaced by Bayne (Hells Bouncer), who got over a lot faster than i ever hoped after his run in development in a very gimmicky storyline that could quite easily be said to have mirrored Undertaker Vs Undertaker from back in WWF 94 (Hells Bouncer won this match and retired Tyson)

Daniel Elderberry (Lead Belly) been managed by Shane Sneer becoming the breakout star in the game after his huge fued with Nicky Hawk that saw him grow from 30 overness in the US to 70 overness in 6 months.

and one of the craziest booking i think i can honestly say i have ever done in the tag team duo of "Big Smack" Scott Sinclair and "The Heartbreaker" Peter Valentine (who became friends over a shared love of poetry...). this was a train wreck that i couldnt stop booking because i was enjoying it far to much. Sinclair and Valentine held the USPW tag team titles 5 times between 2014 when they formed until 2017 when Peter Valentine retired. Big Smack went on to hold the TV title on his singles run but was never the same after his only friend retired.

Goodbye to my WWE Jan/15 - Oct/18 savegame ... I already miss you :(

... goodbye to my 4-time tag team champions "The Future", consisting of Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville. Both of you made the way to the absolute best.

... goodbye to Cesaro who has held the WHC for over a year between 2016 and 2017

... goodbye to The Bullet Club (AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows) - your win over the Authority @ Survivor Series 2016 was one for the ages!

... goodbye to the The Undertaker, the greatest wrestler I've ever worked with. Even with 50+ years you had one last run in you.

Fare thee well TEW 2013 which was one of my favorite games in the past 2 years - but now I'm looking forward to TEW 2016 :)

I had some memorable moments, like the dozens of pushes I gave Eric Angle. Those are always fun. I had several good saves, especially one where i Played as CM Punk and created WWA, my own company. It was a success. I had many saves and I could be here all day, including one where i partnered Zack Gowen with The Ultimate Warrior and Create-a-Wrestler with The Ultimate Warrior (Create a Warrior was the name of that team. :D) There were countless HBK and CM Punk megapushes. Oh the memories...

But it's not goodbye yet. I probably won't be buying the game immediately when it comes out, especially because the first good mods will take some time to appear and I see that as an opportunity to play my TEW 2013 games for a bit longer. But I would still like to thank TEW 2013. It was one hell of a ride and it ain't over yet.
