And even at cult it takes forever to have a broadcaster willingly negotiate with you. I am PSW with 47 pop/importance at Tri state and 30 at mid atlantic. I think in a year or so I'll make cult, but my popularity everywhere else will be around 10 at most.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> It's basically not possible to do it this way.</p><p> </p><p> It's one of the reasons, IMO, 2016 Cverse is unplayable for the average player, which rarely matters since the average TEW user seems more focused on making some random e-fed in the 90s where he pushes the exact same WWE stars under different branding, or just plays as WWE itself.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Im playing PSW right now at Cult number 10.</p><p> </p><p> How you actually grow them.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Cut all the expensive guys at the start including Greg Black he makes no sense for the roster, sign the liberal strippers from unemployed line. Run 2/3 special shows a week called say "PSW Live" and just keeping doing these shows in TriState area. You'll break even soon as long as you are doing good shows, which with your roster is basically impossible to tank from here.</p><p> </p><p> Once you get around 40 or so overness you'll be turning big profit, run 3 or so shows a week, 4 if you can stomach it. </p><p> </p><p> You should be hittin about 60-80 shows for your first two years.</p><p> </p><p> Once you reach the high 70s in Tri-State you should be making about 600k per month if you run just 5 shows per month, but if you can keep running 3-4 a week you'll hit a million per month if you can avoid the burnout.</p><p> </p><p> After a year of doing this you should have 8 figures. You may be tempted to build the broadcaster now, DO NOT , absolutely repeat DO NOT build a Tiny broadcaster. A Tiny broadcaster is a complete noob trap in this game, the growth you get off of it in terms of worker pop growth and company growth is so small its not worth the cash, and then it becomes ridiculously expensive to upgrade. To upgrade from Tiny to Small will basically cost you 25 million + the cost of Tiny which is 12 million , compared to the 18 million it would cost just to make a Small broadcaster from the jump.</p><p> </p><p> That is a whopping 19 million dollar difference. Starting as a Free-To-Air Small small broadcaster will get you the fastest growth without having to grind too many dollars out, and also has notable gains on worker overness.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Since I started my Free To Air 4 TV + 1 Event schedule (much more relaxed than my old Regional schedule) I only make about 4 million dollars in profit a year, largely due to TV having less attendance than events. But theres nothing stopping you from continuing to run just events. At this point however, it gets cumbersome booking wise as the booking requirements are stricter, for example stars always want to be on events but not necessarily TV, meaning you can power through time more easily if you just run TV and still get equally popular but less money.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Also after this point at least in my opinion you no longer need a huge cash reserve, since outside of my development territory(which is also very useful for developing overness on new acts since the AI unfortunately never does it in this game) and the broadcaster, theres literally nothing to spend on since worker contacts are so cheap.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="YIewQqf.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YIewQqf.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> I can just keep doing this until I eventually reach National, slowly but surely sniping away good workers and developing them under my banner.</p><p> </p><p> At this point im content with slowplaying it since I cant actually beat SOTBW in a national battle until their guys start to get old and lose star quality, or I can steal them away on ludicrous contracts since the AI is impossible to not outbid unless you are playing as Head Booker.</p>

I made it more similar to TCW than what DAVE was. My roster has changed with only Acid II, Ash Campbell, Logan Wolfsbaine, and Madman Boone as remaining from PSW. I had to change the product to stay alive as sponsor money was a need. I'll be cult within a year with Mid atlantic and tri state. I am not trying to rush to national, as I want to build roster so I don't lose national battles. I was wondering what people do for broadcasting.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Why did you release Ernest Youngman?</p><p> </p><p> With that roster I don't really think you are going to be able to abuse your stars enough to hit that high 70s low 80s breakpoint. What is your average show grade right now?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> In my experience Ernest Youngman and maybe Xavi Ferrera with a good roll and more patience than I have are really the only guys capable of carrying PSW purely in the ring. You can get a ton of guys who get immensely over on entertainment skills and pop but they generally cap out in this 80s for matches. I didn't start hitting 90 rated shows consistently until Youngman hit his peak as a worker in terms of skill growth and pop, and also when I signed Des Davids from SWF because lol AI bidding.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> For example, in May of my first year, this is my first 80 rated show. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="vMHqQNX.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vMHqQNX.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> And then by December, again abusing Youngman we managed our first 90. This really accelerates the goal to getting that huge wad of cash.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9pTjXI4.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9pTjXI4.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The usual old guys the AI drops because time decline are very useful to your company at this point because they are very over compared to the workers you start with, and can be used in many kinds of matches with decent grades far beyond the 30s and 40s most of your initial cast will get.</p><p> </p><p> Also notable at various points the AI will randomly drop extremely talented and relatively young workers for seemingly no reason. In my current game, I am in the midst of signing John Greed who was just let go at 38, not in decline, and has legitimate high end world champion stats almost across the board. Also the AI tends to let go high quality prospects, especially SWF and SOTBW, so pay attention to that.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> This is year 3</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="SBJYpu6.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SBJYpu6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Robbie Wright and Heroe were literally just let go for no reason at all and they are easy grades. Robbie can do promos and also matches, Heroe is just a midcarder but a very good one. You can find a ton of these guys in a given save to boost you up to the next level.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Makhai" data-cite="Makhai" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41174" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The sex appeal exploit gag has been around since TEWs genesis and if you boil the game down to a math problem you can literally do it all, reminds me of the old local-Global speed run posts where guys would hit Global by booking 2-Sin City Super Soaker matches and 1 90min t-shirt throwing angle and pressing run over and over.<p> </p><p> It's an exploit and sex appeal angles have needed to not count for show grades for a long time.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> They are fairly limited at higher grades, the main thing it's just super easy to build a 40s or so pop promotion with them. As of now they are basically just filler matches now that my company needs 90s consistently to grow and Sex appeal matches do not do that.</p><p> </p><p> But either way, the divas get paid like 500 bucks it makes no sense to pay Greg Black 8 times that salary just to put on a 60 rated match.</p>

<p>I wanna make clear that I'm not saying it's wrong, it's just not very realistic, and has always been an exploit to me. Strippers have never drawn a dime outside of the 20s-50s when seeing a naked lady was next to impossible. Now you can see some jugs with a google search or by driving by unsavory donut shop windows. Skin shows should warm the crowd in high-risk tolerance feds because nobody is going to say no, but affect the show grade 0 and grant no-pop gain.</p><p> </p><p>

The time declined releasee matches I think are fine, trash feds do this IRL with Terry Funk to this day. That's just exploiting resources correctly, but the AI should probably job off their overness a bit better before releasing them IMO. The strategy works, but I wouldn't exactly call it realistic, or faithful to PSW's core product.</p>

Ascent is basically Main Event to me, 1hr show, give our green guys and gals extra ring time and fill out some content for Elite On-Demand. Should let everybody get a date every week or so. And let me go get some TV ME guys that I'm lacking. Also, expect that Joey Ryan and Page gag to go on for a while.</p>

Card was every bit as good as I hoped, Women's field is set, WWE fell to Cult on a string of C+ cards topped by WWE UNIVERSIAL Champion Dolph Ziggler(who's pych has doubled during his run for what that's worth.) and they're casting off guys left and right, I couldn' let Sasha wind up in Impact, so I scooped her and have given her a new character. We've got a lot of girls now, about 4-5 more than I want. But maybe I'll do a Women's Tag division soon to give our greener girls something to shoot for. I'm incredibly happy with Omega and Devitt Final. Both had A match grades, and Devitt has improved at 38 into being a potential Ace. </p><p> </p><p>

Also now is a good time to do a development report. Biggest winners: Best Friends, Chuckie T is up from 36-77 psychology and Berreta is all greens in performance and his top ends are coming along too. I could split and feud these guys if I wanted and move Chuckie into the ME probably and do just fine. But I like having tag depth atm. The biggest loser is Jericho, second biggest is Awesome Kong, both are time declining as we speak. Biggest mover in Pop is probably Bea Priestly, who is 1 and 7 in the company so far and yet is D+ from completely unknown which is pretty surprising, the biggest loser is probably Brandi, who despite submitting MJF and being on TV every week hasn't gotten any better and she just turned 36. </p><p> </p><p>

Onward to Showdown!</p>

King Devitt and Omega get their eyes on the prize(which I don't even know what it looks like i'm just using the mid-south breastplate belt as a stand-in) Fenix and Penta are pretty good as singles, but it seems Penta is actually a bit better. This is a bit of a cool down episode we've got 2 weeks of build left and the card is already set, Omega-Devitt in a rematch of their fantastic IWGP Juniors match, from a decade ago.(man I feel old now) Will it be better? We'll see. The Bucks vs Socal Uncensored and The Machine Guns vs. The Briscoes aught to be great, and then it's the women's title opening round, and possibly a BR for the last TV title spot. which will start in November.</p>

I forgot to check how good PAC has been in NJPW, he's gone from Opener to Main Eventer in one tour, and is more over in the JPN than the US so I'd say his tour is going pretty well. The Lethal one is in the house(and he instantly gives April a decent bump in psychology backstage) Sakazaki is now on a full-time deal. And I think this last girl should set the table for our first few programs once all the champions are crown. barring the WWE casting off Becky or something.</p><p> </p><p>

While I'm on the topic of the WWE in this mod... Main Event Sarah Logan boys.</p>

No idea the angle grade could pull me up that far, I've got a match quality product. Good to know, either way. Time to find out who the ACE is and who will wrestle for our tag titles at Full House. I'm fishing for tag chemistry with the ladies, and i'm coming up empty, which is annoying. James Storm got Conjunctivitis from a botched move... Don't even want to think about how that happened.</p>

I think Ross and Barnett just aren't going to cut it for getting that A, Kenny Omega busted out an A* match rating and Devitt pitched a B+ but the announcing dropped the grade just enough I think to keep it off A. Barnett's color ability is only 66 and is still the best available guy. In other news, Savoy and Flair busting out the B-, was expecting no more than a C. Either way, I'm B- pop in South East now, but the economy and industry are falling so, might get boned by that judging by the dip in rating. This means I'm probably a year away from National. WWE will likely beat me back... But they're still pushing Dolph Ziggler and Sarah Logan, so maybe not? The question now, to figurehead, or not figurehead Omegaman?</p>

I am running a Thunderverse LTG with a custom Wolf Hawkins(first c-verse character I could think of). I started with a local company, and we somehow ended up in the black after 6 shows in 3 months. So I continued to go along with my starter company as small trying to get hired as a booker any possible opening. We were stuck in regional battles, and I had to either try to stay profitable by running so/so shows or spend a ton to win the regional battles. I figured that this would lead to no movement and boring. I became the owner of GBWF, and we made cult pretty easily soon after my take over. I bought CWE, ECZ, TWR, and All Japan Joshi. So we have good popularity in British Isles and really good pop in Japan. I think we will be capped at cult unfortunetly. As Regional Importance is stuck in mid 70s for Central/Northern England and Ireland. For me to reach national I'd have to have 90 popularity, and that's not real possible. I want to slowly expand to USA, by buying out a regional company, and then try to make USA my home region as it's easier to expand there. Any tips to help me grow to National, International and so on?

If you want to make money and grow it's with a Commercial or Subscription based Broadcaster. Short of that, it's getting a TV deal and if you can't do any of this it's grinding out your home territory until you can and relying on spillover to grow you elsewhere.</p>

Thus far Tommy Cornell has returned to SWF as the booker and has formed an alliance with Squeeky McClean to target Skull DeBones, whom Cornell defeated at When Hell Freezes Over thanks to Squeeky's interference. At the moment I'm planning for them to recruit The Crippler as well and target Jack Bruce as well. Bruce defeated The Crippler at the PPV but only via DQ when frustration at being unable to put Bruce away resulted in Crippler being DQ'd.

Eric Eisen meanwhile has formed a stable with The Pain Alliance and Primus Allen called the Eric Eisen Experience. The group is already fractious however as Eisen doesn't really get along with Kurt Laramee or Big Smack Scott and there have been big arguments between the three. Eventually Eisen will try to find a protege (currently I'm planning on Hollywood Bret Starr) to try and capture the SWF Tag Team Titles in order to be SWF's only triple crown champion. In response Laramee will find his own protege (currently thinking Frantic Ali for this role) to prove he can do a better job.

Also Mikey Lau and Jimmy Hernandez have proven to have great chemistry as a team and have begun teaming as Generation Why. They rolled dice for it, Jimmy won, so he got to choose the name.

A nice clean episode of TV, we're two weeks of Elite from Full House and I purchased IWA:MS to serve as a development fed, probably sign some guys without work atm like Henning and Zheng and send Joey Janela down there because he is awful on this mod and about to come back. Either way, I'm viewing it as content for E:On Demand, and gives me free access to Taryn Terrell If I want that, for some reason.

<p>Into March 1999 on my C-Verse '97 game with HGC (renamed to TCW) and I'm a behemoth. Such a stacked roster that even with two brands, I have more than enough world class talent to fill every card. Current champions:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW World Heavyweight:</strong> Vengeance [16 months]</p><p>

- Both brands</p><p>

- Vengeance has become an incredible worker, thanks in part to mixing it up with a broad variety of veterans. He got two A* matches in 1998, vs Rip Chord and vs Nemesis. He is A* globally, so obviously the biggest star in the world. He has only lost 3 matches since the start of the game, one triple threat vs Liberty and Jack Bruce where he wasn't pinned, and two eight-man tags, neither of which he suffered the fall. He has won 104 matches.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Previous Champions:</strong></p><p>

Rip Chord [Feb Wk1 1997 to May Wk4 1997]</p><p>

Sam Strong [May Wk4 1997 to Nov Wk4 1997]</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW International:</strong> Liberty [x2 / 1 month]</p><p>

- Total Brand</p><p>

- One of my biggest names, on the shortlist to dethrone Vengeance. He has improved his performance skills a great deal and can hang with the best. He had programmes against Rip Chord, Sam Strong and Dread so has some strong pedigree. He and Jack Bruce helped make each other stars.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Previous Champions:</strong></p><p>

Puerto Rican Power [Oct Wk3 1998 to Feb Wk3 1999]</p><p>

Jack Bruce [May Wk4 1998 to Oct Wk3 1998]</p><p>

Rip Chord [Mar Wk4 1998 to May Wk4 1998]</p><p>

Jack Bruce [Jun Wk4 1997 to Mar Wk4 1998]</p><p>

Liberty [Jan Wk4 1997 to Jun Wk4 1997]</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW United States:</strong> Brent Hill [7 months]</p><p>

- Showcase Brand</p><p>

- A title that I created along with the brand split to sit at the top of the Showcase brand when the World Champion was on Total. Brent Hill was the first champion and his current gimmick is being the only United States Champion in TCW history. He's owning it right now, although the level of his opponents has varied due to big stars being embroiled in blood feuds instead. He will keep the belt for a while longer, I am toying with him breaking Vengeance's record for holding a title but that depends on how long Vengeance goes with the World title.</p><p>

<strong>TCW Junior Heavyweight:</strong> Sean McFly [2 months]</p><p>

- Total Brand</p><p>

- The title has moved ahead of the International title on the Total brand by prestige but in the 'official' rankings (in my head) it is below International. It is a great division to book, and has been largely centred around the Stones for the last 8 months. That will come to an end at the March PPV, where McFly will retain against Jeremy, Dan Jr and Duane.</p><p>

<strong>TCW All Action:</strong> R.K. Hayes [3 months]</p><p>

- Showcase Brand</p><p>

- Freddie Datsun made himself and this title, which was very highly regarded before Hayes took the title in a shock vs Steve DeColt, who was screwed by Jack DeColt. He is continuing to damage the prestige as he rolls through my undercard, as I build his popularity in the US. He will hold onto the title until he's rebuilt the prestige a little. Vengeance has been on the same brand with the World title until the last couple of weeks. Now he's gone, Hayes needs to step up.</p><p>

Johnny Martin [Feb Wk1 1998 to Jun Wk3 1998]</p><p>

Puerto Rican Power [sep Wk4 1997 to Feb Wk1 1998]</p><p>

<strong>TCW Total Tag Team:</strong> El Bandido & Elliot (Bryan) Holmes [3 months]</p><p>

- Total Brand</p><p>

- The International Express (Bandido & Holmes) were the first team I discovered with great tag team chemistry in this game and are now A* in Experience. They aren't quite on the top level for popularity but they can be serviceable against Main Eventers. Holmes changed his name because originally I had Bryan Vessey. They were perennial challengers for a while until I decided to give them a chance with the belts. It was supposed to be transitional but they've already gone two months longer than the plan and are doing well. They will probably drop to Bruce the Giant and Tommy Cornell soon, unless I go with Bruce the Giant as the man to dethrone Vengeance. I would like to stop bouncing the titles around from team to team. I didn't plan to have Tyler & Martin drop them for a while but I sent Eric Tyler to rehab and since then have used them as a prop in storylines.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Previous Champions:</strong></p><p>

Mr Lucha & Whippy the Clown [Oct Wk3 1998 to Dec Wk3 1998]</p><p>

Dan Stone Jr. & Duane Stone [Aug Wk3 1998 to Oct Wk3 1998]</p><p>

Rich Money & Ricky Dale Johnson [Apr Wk3 1998 to Aug Wk3 1998]</p><p>

Joel Bryant & Robert Oxford [Feb Wk4 1998 to Apr Wk3 1998]</p><p>

Alex DeColt & Jack DeColt [Oct Wk3 1997 to Feb Wk4 1998]</p><p>

Duane Stone & Steve DeColt [sep Wk4 1997 to Oct Wk3 1997]</p><p>

Eric Tyler & Johnny Martin [May Wk4 1997 to Sep Wk4 1997]</p><p>

Larry Vessey & Bryan Vessey [Jan Wk4 1997 to May Wk4 1997]</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW Showcase Tag Team:</strong> Joel Bryant & Robert Oxford [4 months]</p><p>

- Showcase Brand</p><p>

- A fantastically reliable team, who have held both sets of belts. They are currently dominating the Showcase tag team scene. I have a lot of fresh teams ready to come up after Total Mayhem (New Wave, Savage Fury, Nation of Filth, Peak Brothers, and beyond that in the future The Fly Boys, McWade Brothers, Flex & Pecs, as well as some self-created teams) so they will hold off all challengers until then and help train the new teams that join their brand. Chances are they will drop the belts towards the end of the year then switch brands to train the new teams that end up on Total.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><strong>Previous Champions:</strong></p><p>

Alex DeColt & Jack DeColt [sep Wk4 1998 to Nov Wk4 1998]</p><p>

Eric Tyler & Johnny Martin [sep Wk2 1998 to Sep Wk4 1998]</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Current Feuds:</strong></p><p>

Vengeance vs Freddie Datsun</p><p>

- There is a chance Datsun dethrones Vengeance. He has been a workhorse since the start of the game but has kicked into another gear since turning heel. Unfortunately for him I want to turn Vengeance heel again and have a face take the title so I'm leaning heavily against him but not ruling it out until I come to booking the next PPV.</p><p> </p><p>

Sam Strong vs Jack Bruce</p><p>

- Strong had been heel before taking a three month hiatus but has returned as a face on a nostalgia run. Jack Bruce has turned heel (not that he was happy about it) and will 'kill' Strongamania at Total Mayhem in May. I will probably give Strong a retirement match at Total Mayhem 2000 before forcing retirement on him. I haven't even started thinking who is getting that honour yet but it will be a youngster rather than a final match vs Rip Chord or similar.</p><p> </p><p>

Liberty vs Puerto Rican Power</p><p>

- Feuding over the International title. PRP originally took issue with Liberty being given everything because he's an All-American poster boy so there has been an 'international' edge to this, despite it really being USA vs Puerto Rico. PRP has taken the role of representing anti-America. They have both improved a lot since the start of the game so they are pulling ratings but Liberty is winning out at Total Mayhem because he is a cornerstone that I have put a lot of time into. PRP will be okay, he'll bounce back. He might dethrone Brent Hill for United States title if he sticks with this gimmick.</p><p> </p><p>

Christian Faith vs Mr. Hollywood (Mr Supreme)</p><p>

- Faith made an instant impact when he joined TCW, and took out Giedroyc and his sinister group (Darkness Warriors and Larry Wood). After disposing of them, Mr. Hollywood ('re'-)debuted (fresh from getting clean in rehab) as the 'true' hero that TCW needs. A fairly cookie-cutter feud but gives both a high profile feud for Total Mayhem.</p><p> </p><p>

Ricky Dale Johnson vs Rich Money</p><p>

- Former tag team partners that came up together from the start of the game until Money betrayed RDJ for (obviously) money. Both wanted to challenge Vengeance but screwed each other out of it then lost a triple threat. Since then they have been feuding back and forth. I want to stretch it out to Total Mayhem so Money will hire goons to 'injure' RDJ. My only issue is that sets up RDJ's redemption and I want Money to go over. I might have to suck it up and recover Money's position afterwards, he's more talented anyway. RDJ hasn't developed all that well but is very over.</p><p> </p><p>

Rip Chord vs Angry Gilmore</p><p>

- Tom Gilmore snapped from his nice-guy, baby-kissing, hand-shaking rookie persona that I gave him to become Angry Gilmore after Rip lost a #1 Contender tag match for them. Since then, Gilmore has promised to retire Chord and will do so at Total Mayhem. Until then, Rip is on a retirement tour (unofficially), with Gilmore ruining his matches and sneak attacking/cheapshotting him. One on one he has so far deliberately got counted out and disqualified. Next step is a rage DQ. If Rip is up to it, I want to end it with an Ironman match but that's probably unlikely so will go Last Man Standing.</p><p> </p><p>

Those are the headline feuds but also got the Stones imploding on one brand and the DeColts on the other, as well as tag team feuds and Brent Hill's solo story of being the only US Champion (currently feuding with Johnny Martin).</p><p> </p><p>

So much talent, so little time!</p>

<p>Road to Glory game I just started (super-small, no money). Owner goal is to not go in the red. Cool.</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="https://s1275.photobucket.com/user/Eidenhoek/media/why%20game_zpswgo50v6c.png.html" rel="external nofollow"><img alt="why%20game_zpswgo50v6c.png" data-src="https://oi1275.photobucket.com/albums/y443/Eidenhoek/why%20game_zpswgo50v6c.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p><p> </p><p>

So um. As some of you may know from my super-short 2010 diary of my legendarily-ridiculous NOTBPW save, I really, <em>really</em> like Bryan Holmes. He's a class-act, super-steady hand, the guy went up and down the card with no complaints, ton of great matches, probably second to Steve DeColt in terms of importance to the company.</p><p> </p><p>

So here I am, I got $1,000 in the bank. Critical goal not to go red.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>And he accepted.</em></p><p> </p><p>

ffffffffff</p>
