codey_v2
So I just checked the COTT title history in my road to glory game, and Charlie Thatcher is the current champ. The problem is that he won it while working for NYCW, but hasn't been employed anywhere in over 8 months. Despite this, he's still defending the belt just about every month. How is this possible? Narcizo
I continue to have issues with matches being penalized for not having a hot associated storyline. Prior to the matchup my Valiant and Zimmy v. Brandon and Rogue had a storyline heat in the 90s. Anybody else having this problem? I tried to look in the forums and there was a thread but no real answers came up. I am also using the latest patch. Edit: I am using patch 1.15 not 1.16 didn't realize that was released, but I didn't see anything in the patch notes about this problem I'm having a big problem with it as well. It effects my main events and matches that I would expect to rate in the 90s (and have done Before) end up around 80 because of it. As it's the main event it has a huge effect on the overall show rating. There's a note that the storyline has been progressed during the match so it isn't that it's not finding the storyline. I've started running an angle before the match to make sure the story heat was 100 but that doesn't help.

liontamer
Do people aside from promotions ever buy out companies in game? it seems either another promotion buys them or the go out of business. Would be nice to see random workers or even the occasional TV station buy a promotion.

mrwhippy
You don't get the massive momentum boost when the storyline is ended any more. It's just a gradual rise/drop whenever they're involved in a success/defeat.

What you need to do is find out how long they can go before you get the warning about them visibly tiring in a match. after you know that you keep having perform in matches that are almost that long and you keep trying to increase the time. If they are young, their stamina will improve and after 10-20 shows they should be more able to go all out.

This does depend on the age of the wrestler. Older wrestlers won't improve as much or sometimes won't improve at all and there will be nothing more you can do.

In fact, something similar works for safety, consistency and psych, although all 3 of those usually require that you have your worker face someone with high stats. But a huge part is just being in enough matches to gain skill.

What they do now is provide a boost to the score of any angles/matches involving people who are in a hot storyline. This is great for helping get a match grade up between two workers, but it takes some work on the storyline to get people interested.

And the rating of a storyline is still based on how good the angles and matches are. You might want to balance the defeat/success part, but overall you just are trying to have the people in the storyline in as many high rating segments as possible.

2. The other danger is that it could result in your promoted worker developing a bit of an attitude problem as his ego takes over.

You also have to accept that the fans might not really care about the worker yet. If your promotion is more about popularity than performance the worker might end up being in a bunch of low scoring segments despite being on the midcard, which could hurt their development.

RatedRKO16
When I use the autobooker it makes almost all my matches a really long length of time and my angles are even ridiculously longer. Is there a way to shorten the angles and match lengths the A.I. uses in the autobooker so the A.I. fills in more matches/segments?

Probably the best thing to do at this point, assuming she has B- charisma, is to have her dominate people with high selling in 5 minute or shorter matches. Rather than relying on ratings, showcase her as being particularly strong and her popularity is more likely to go up faster. d12345
It's certainly an idea I hadn't considered Did you try main eventing her and giving her a decisive win in A* matches against your next most popular worker? Also like Lloyd said you need to have her beating a main eventer near her pop in a match that rates better than her pop to see them gains. Even if she has a cap she can still temporarily break it if so. Also try getting her in 100 rated angles as well. The segment's got to run for more than 6 mins to get pop gains. Dr. Hook
The segment's got to run for more than 6 mins to get pop gains. Is this right? I know 4 minutes are the minimum for skill development, but I thought 5 minutes was the minimum for pop gains? Would matter a lot to me as I have been booking angles for my top workers at 5 minutes. d12345
Ehhh that would be great, except I'm 100% in-ring product :/ Well in performance-oriented companies bad booking (improper road agent notes use) can lead to popularity losses. How are you booking your figureheads matches with the notes? Fairly sure it's been 4 minutes for both since 2013. Hey Sock you can gain pop from a 3 minute angle but it is significantly less than what you'd be able to gain from the same rated longer angle. This is directly out of the 2016 player's handbook in the section called "Angle and Worker Popularity Changes." Topic 13 of 45. Cyberkitten I would suggest having a read in the players handbook under the 'Booking Shows' tab. All the info you need to maximize your workers' gains is in there.
