Fezoman
Quick question from someone who hasn't played the game since TEW 2010. Is there a way to create a company that has realistic/competitive matches that don't force you to choose the result?

Just to clarify what I mean, I'm coming from the perspective of someone who loved the MMA games because you didn't know who was going to win any given match, and thus the game created its own surprises. While you can not select a winner, by in large the most popular wrestler will win 9/10. The beauty of wrestling is that you can control the story. You can make the stars. It's a fundamentally different sport. I really enjoy the WMMA games because they simulate the surprise of MMA. TEW isn't designed to do that, as there aren't any surprises -- in the outcome aspect -- for the booker like there is tor the matchmaker in MMA.
Fezoman
The problem I have with telling my own story is that it feels like I'd essentially be writing my own fan fiction that no one else would read. I just don't see the point. I'm not knocking anyone else who does enjoy this aspect of the game, but it's really not something that does it for me.

Anyway, thanks for the info, guys. I'll put it forward on the suggestions forum and see if Adam will consider adding it as an optional feature. Personally, I think it would add an awful lot of value to the game, at least for players like me.
TheGhost
Technically the feature already exists. You don't have to pick a winner, but like others have said, the winner is usually the one with most popularity. I get what you are saying, but pro wrestling does not work the way you are requesting. Bookers, book winners and losers. But if you have time tinker with settings, I know most of the time when you book no winner its usually pop that will decide. But I am not too sure about super performence based feds. Try setting your product to a hyper realistic, pure, and just overall competitive base, and run a card and see who wins then take a look at stats and pop and it should point you in the right direction. But yeah as far as what you are asking for, it really defeats the entire purpose of being a pro wrestling booker.
Koholos
Every year after the G1, I kind of get an interest to try booking an NJPW type conpany, but I know nothing about any of the Cornellverse Japan companies (and I usually find RW mods feel off).

Is there one where both the style is similar to NJPW and the wrestlers have that similar feel? Who’s the Okada of the Cornellverse?
TheGhost
Never played the company, but everyone always says Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods company is the most NJPW style fed in the Cornell Verse.

BiffJordan
What do you think the best way to hide declining abilities are? You can do slow build and help with stamina, also protect... what about open match? What about slow build and all out in the same match during a technical masterclass or spectacle/epic? moafnsteel
What is the best way to get a loyalty relationship with a worker? Be a Japanese based company lol. Outside of those companies, I think there is a possibility through event praises, but I have done those for a long time with no success. For the Japanese companies, I believe they have to be Young Lions. Or go into the editor and change the option that turns on worker loyalty in every region and it will replicate the Japanese scene. It's under the Game World tab then area set up
