[RELEASE] - Cornellverse 1997 / CV97

Recommended Posts

Thank you for doing this mod it allowed me to do a proper TEW PGHW title history that wouldn't of been possible without it. I hate how TEW has the title histories for various reasons and without this mod I wouldn't of been able to get enough names for the title histories because the PGHW alumni list isn't large enough.

I don't keep the same title length, I have my own formula for that, and I don't keep title holders who were never with PGHW in the default Cornellverse, but I can replace those guys with guys in the roster in this mod who were also with PGHW in the default Cornellverse database.

So thank you for doing this HUGE help.

Digging through the 97 database while working on 77, contemplating starting a game there for when I need a breather from modding..

And I see there's a company in the files call "ALPHA".

Based in Norway.

That focuses on musclebound brutes being FREAKIN' ALPHA BABY, YEAH!!! Stuff like flexing and fighting marine life.

...

I love you, Derek.

Its a company from my Cverse XL mod Cbot. Obviously in direct homage to your own work.

Old skool mod guys all linking up eh?

New links to some updated data. Nothing game changing, just fixing a few mistakes and tweaking the east coast warring companies to have a little extra spending money. Pedro Ortiz will no longer give birth to anyone/anything and I've changed the product setting for Japanese companies on TV to make them feel different from events. It should balance out better now. Let me know if the Google link works, it's not something I've used much before so I don't know if it will work for people or not. :)

<p>Would anyone be interested in a multiplayer game with this mod? Whether it be doing the east coast wars, or something else? Maybe create seperate local feds to see who can rise to the top?</p><p> </p><p>

Also, the google docs link works just fine. Just got to download it after getting home.</p>

I was wondering if you had given any thought to tweaking the worker contracts to not include travel cover? I usually go into my games and try to redo contracts to not include the travel cover for the smaller promotions. i might have to increase the wage 30 or 40 dollars. But it saves me anywhere from 20 to 100 dollars a worker that is not in my region.

They are set differently across the various companies... some will include travel, some won't, and some will for only big stars or people based further away. :)

Thank you very much for your hard work, i really renjoy playing that mod. On thing i noticed: BHOTWG always buys out every promotion in japan.

Yeah, BHOTWG are super aggressive in this because of their owner being a bit of a douche. Even in my own RtG game after 4 years they are still being super aggressive and buying out all of the failing women's companies there (5SSW and another have already closed, a third is going downhill) and I'm hoping PGHW survive forever because I like to see them go strong. :)

I just DL'd the 1.04 data, but the header screen still calls it TEW13 V1.0

I assume this is just because you didn't change that when you updated?

Yeah, I forget to change that most times. :p

It is possible there's no pictures for Susan Forabruisin and Ashley Murphy? Maybe they had different filenames and got lost in the GIF conversion, though I got most other new (or rather: old :p) workers converted. Anybody that knows their alias and can help?

I gave up my obsession over setting all weight classes to the 2016 data. Sometimes you forget it's actually 10 years before my earliest TEW so yeah... I guess things could've changed. :)

<p>I'm almost in 2000 now and some of my favorite companies like NOTBPW and 5SSW have already gone down and I was too late to save them <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/mad.png.69834f23b9a8bf290d98375f56f1c794.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. Wouldn't it be better to increase their starting amount and just instruct the player to lower it (if they do in fact play as those promotions). The non-mainstream companies might deserve a little push.</p><p> </p><p>

Then again, them going out of business was a godsend for me, because with all the scheduled debuts of big companies, I would never have been able to get my critical goal of improving my position. I assume some people will be fired despite doing relatively well (but you can always turn it off I suppose).</p>

<p>Still loving this mod. I've decided to, for the first time ever, to try SWF for a serious lengthy game.</p><p> </p><p>

As I aphave always in the past created my own promotions from nothing building up, I have decided to see what the other end of the game looks like (since first playing Tew 2005) as it's rare for me to take my generated company much beyond cult (as the grind from regional to cult seems to take forever, I end upnlosing steam once I hit it). </p><p> </p><p>

What I really like, which I never realised before, was the starting storylines, which involved everyone. As I've always found that when starting a non-company is harder as I don't really understand the story of all the current workers. In a way, I kinda wish they had more storyline history built into the game, so you can see much more of the oath they have taken to get to where I pick them up in 1997 (though I know realistically that's far too much work).</p><p> </p><p>

I thought about trying to recreate some Cverse SWF history with this save, so does anyone know if there exists any Canon-ish fuels and storylines which happens in the SWF between 1997 and 2005 (beyond the starting feuds)?</p><p> </p><p>

I have the total liniage to go by, and I have the knowledge of some workers (I am looking forward to Lobster Warrior assuming he develops well) and know that the world won't parallel like the actual CVerse, but it would be awesome to have some canon crossover. Anyone know of any resources I can look at?</p>

Liking this mod a lot. plaing as CZCW and tring to start the legacies of some of the iconic Coastal Zone guys.

I am keeping Chris Perkins in his underdog role but picking up a few wins for a while he's tagging with my young User Character due to necessity due to being targeted by The 24 Hour Party People (Donnie J + Monty Walker) long term feud to help develop all 4 guys.

Tyler Morton, will be floating at Uppermidcard for a while whilst he develops, I like his current pic, so i'm in no rush to put the acid Mask on him for a few years.

I like the thought of having some future legends in the company whilst they're young, help them develop and in the future be able to look at guys in the top companies as the top champions and be able to say that they worked, held titles and got their start at the Coastal Zone, be bale to bring them back in fo surprise returns in the future etc.

Got the hype with the hope of turning his life around, try and get him clean.. however, he's tuned up high on 2 out o f shows so far and is now inured for 2 months... Thinking he will com out and be jobbed out and if he doesn't change hi attitude he'l be gone.

Hired a couple of Mexicans, so considering using them to main event a second show a month solely in Mexico.. possibly a second brand however... I feel the money i get from a second show would not cover the costs of a second roster.
