Does tweaking the Burning Hammer owner to have his ideal roster size set to "very small" blow up anything long term? I've tried a few games as PGHW in this version and I don't like how Burning Hammer signs up EVERYONE and forces you to do the same at the start for everyone you plan on using at any point in your game.

Yeah it's not really been tweaked well. They immediately raid GCG and don't even wait until they are in debt. And without the user intervention, they always go on a buyout spree, but I assume we can't do much about the latter.

NOTBPW also starts with a small roster. Some of their workers don't even have a starting gimmick, though it's expected by the fans. If you want to change it you get penalized a lot so it's a lose-lose-situation.

I'm enjoying the mod despite these little setbacks, but it requires some amount of "player intervention" if you want to keep it pleasant and realistic.

This mod is good. The higher number of fatal injury types makes the game more unpredictably. I have seen a number of wrestlers who were supposed to be future stars had their careers cut short due to injuries. Several Japanese main eventers also had to give up in early 40s. This is something that rarely happens in the default mod.

They should be more rare. Most injuries aren't exactly career-threatening on their own. The game's physical health engine seems to be geared towards a aggravating/pile-'em-up/crescendo-effect (forgot the actual term), which makes a lot of sense. If you'd add rare career-ending injuries it'd be perfect (as they do happen), but in my game it almost seemed like half of the injuries were immediately "game over" (could be variance). And that's just not how it happens irl. In any case: for WMMA-players, I advise NOT to use the "extreme" setting for injuries (in WMMA that one is closest to realism imo).</p>

Kudos for your work, I'm using this mod for my Road to Glory challenge and I'm just hitting decent size levels in my company as all the big names begin to debut. Not sure if the game or mod is to blame, but Karen Bilous seems to automatically revert to her original gimmick in every match. Pointing it out in case you want to look it up.

<p>I’m tweaking the mod to set up my own universe and while looking for the canon workers with different names, gimmicks, alter egos, etc I managed to find the vast majority of them except for a handful. Most of them are definitely minor and/or legacy or distant future workers (such as Lucy Stone-McFly which is confirmed by Derek as not included) and I can of course import them myself but I’d like to double check so I’m asking if Derek or other CVerse experts can help locate any I might have missed <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />.</p><p> </p><p>

Here’s the list: </p><p> </p><p>

Coach Norman </p><p>

Devyn Retribution </p><p>

Dinny Rantall </p><p>

Dylan Drama </p><p>

Edo Phoenix IV </p><p>

Elemental III </p><p>

<em>Genio Verde</em> is The Magnificent Mark</p><p>

Hector Moreno </p><p>

Hijo Del Águila Americana </p><p>

Hotstuff Marie </p><p>

Jason Dempsey </p><p>

Joy </p><p>

Lucy Stone-McFly (confirmed not included)</p><p>

Naoya Shinozaki </p><p>

Weird Waldo Odlaw </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I really hope expecially for Elemental III that he’s somewhere under his real name, I’m really terrible at adjusting stats for a different age <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />, that’s what impresses me most in mods like this, not only the ability to create a complete and realistic game world, but also assessing in a believable way the stats of the workers!</p><p> </p><p>

EDIT: </p><p>

after further research I'm 99,9% sure that the above workers are not included. I had somehow missed Genio Verde's original gimmick, oops <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Decided to try this out as I started getting into the Cverse lately but was surprised not to see TCW around even though they debuted in 1996 (according to the default database).

Either I'm missing something or they had a different name back then, in which case it's not written in the default DB.

They are Hollyweird Grappling Company

TCW didn't become "TCW" until 2004 if I remember correctly.

Peria is right. HGC was the place that became TCW. Not only is this game about the east coast Wars in the universe at that time, is also the beginning of the battle with SWF. They're both cult fighting to become national.

I forget where I read it, but I believe that (in cannon cverse) HGC was failing to keep up with SWF. Tommy Cornell has been released by SWF flee whatever reason and he took control of HGC, re-branded it to TCW and changed it from a copy cat to SWF and changed the product to be more in ring performance instead of pop based.

The above is always interesting to me to see be played out while I control sometime else. My current game is in December if the second year and HGC stole Christian faith six months in. Now they're 1 importance point from being national while SWF is spiraling to regional.

I'm at mid-2011 in my game. HGC rose to National by March 98 and International by May 2008 whereas SWF have spend every year rising to National and immediately falling back to Cult size.

Anyone else find it super fun it take over a indy company and sign the top talent in the game, and than just autobook the results along with changing a few things if you want? It is super fun to be able to see a company progress for 20 years without having to do much work, and see it climb itself to being a power.

I'm making this a separate post because people won't read this if they read my last post, not realizing I edited it.

I've been simming with the database and I've noticed how BHOTWG in the beginning to middle 2000s gets company of the year basically every year and Japan has almost all of the top talents in the Power 500, yet BHOTWG it always at #3 behind HGC and SWF. The AI is stupid with BHOTWG for some reason. There isn't anything Derek B could of done, it is just something really weird. So, BHOTWG is kicking butt with their shows, but they won't sign tv deals that give them good exposure outside of Japan. Another really weird thing is that most of the time them signing contracts that would greatly help them outside the United States would barley hurt them in Japan, yet they won't do it.

If you want to make your game ever better this is what you do. If you notice BHOTWG kicking butt with their shows, but staying locked in at #3 what you do is at the end of each year create a new player and assign them as booker to BHOTWG. Have them sign contracts that will help them get the most exposure outside Japan. As long as it doesn't crippler them in Japan (I have yet to see it happen) then do it. If you have to cancel some current deals (a lot of times they will have Japanese deals that include Hawaii, and you are going to want to sign them to contracts that are big across the United States) then do it, and give them the money back in the editor. Sign the deals for 2 years so they don't try to cancel them. After you sign the contracts then get rid of the player. Do this at the end of every year. This makes this awesome mod even more enjoyable and more realistic! :D

I am currently playing a ROF diary game with this mod. You can check it out at the diary section. Lot of fun playing the barren landscape of UK. Walter Morgan is my current ROF champion in a main event consisting of Rolling Johnny Stones, Donny Damage, Barry Griffin and others.

I'd probably sim it up to 2018 to bring us close to current times but it would definitely take a while to get that far. The last one was a lot of fun though, I will never forget how good T-Rex ended up in that save. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="kanegan" data-cite="kanegan" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41250" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I am currently playing a ROF diary game with this mod. <p>So this is simultaneously a bit picky and would be a lot of work to alter, so I hesitate to bring it up, but what the hey.</p><p> </p><p>

The majority of wrestlers (and some companies, and some narratives) have this grammatical issue where there is a double space after every full stop. Like so. (it's much more noticeable on the TEW screen)</p><p> </p><p>

It's not this glaringly massive error but oh my god it's so distracting to see it for almost every worker in the data. I don't recall it being there in some of the older versions of the mod.</p>
