Crossover Mac tutorial?

Recommended Posts

So I've been playing 2013 on my mac via crossover for some time now, it has now come to TEW16 but the game crashes as soon as i try to proceed a day, the game screen goes grey and it hangs until you close it.

Anyone got a tutorial for getting 16 to run on mac?

Don't wanna use parallels as it makes it awkward when scrolling through things so would like to keep it on crossover.

thanks!

I've also had this issue, but I usually make it a month or so into the game. When it comes to the gray screen, I still am allowed to save and then close out and reopen the game right where I left off. I guess it's just a product of using crossover to be honest.

I'm using Crossover on Linux, and I experienced an error when running TEW 2016 in the same bottle as 2013. I installed it on its own bottle (set to Win7 just in case) and it seems to work just fine. I haven't advanced more than a couple days, though.

I don't know if it works in WinXP mode or not, but it didn't seem to like being together with TEW 2013. Which is odd.

The error I got was a runtime error 339 (if I remember correctly), which complained about ovsBooleanControls.ocx not being registered. Which TEW 2013 didn't complain about, which makes it extra weird.

I'm using Wineskin Winery with the instructions from the tutorial on the 2013 board, and while it's a little slow at times (to be expected with so many workers in the CornellVerse on a game NOT made to work on Macs!), I'm having no operational problems.
