codey_v2
How do people complete the challenge so quickly? Is it just a matter of applying for booking jobs at different companies until you hit national? Because I just entered 2028, and we’re still cult but aiming for National by the end of the year. Actually, is it easier in smaller regions like the UK? By that I mean is quicker to land yourself on a nation-wide network and build that pop early? It requires ignoring your budget for the first year and hopefully getting that money back before midway through the second. I'm now in March sitting at a 38 pop in Great Lakes getting ready to be out of debt. It would have taken a month or two longer if my economy was bad but I'm sitting on fantastic B economy now.
foolinc
Restarted the Road to Glory Challenge this week in the T-Verse mod and I think I have a save for the long run. Here's the highlights: Created Great Lakes Wrestling with my usual promotional settings. Adam Sullivan takes over. He's an ok owner as far as I'm concerned. Good enough to main event the first shows to guarantee full increases each show until the cheap hires are ready to take over. He also has a good amount of basics and psychology to be an in-ring teacher to the true prospects (like your avatar). His biggest boon is that he's relatively over in the US and can help bring up the rest of the roster when his time in the spotlight is over. That said, he's getting up there in age, can only brawl, and is only ok on the mic. So his time in the spotlight is going to be less than you think. The goals given to me are really easy. Don't be in debt in two years time, be over $10,000 a little bit later than that, and hire people who are not awful in selling, toughness, and resilience. In 2016, GLW ran 34 shows with three main tours at the start of the year and two "specials" make sure I didn't lose a bunch of overness while refilling the coffers. The first tour was the Great Lakes Tournament, a 10-man two block round robin. Used a brand split to make sure workers didn't get upset. Four members of the block would face each other, with the odd man out main eventing against Adam Sullivan. The eventual winner was Clement Lejosne and was crowned the first GLW World champion. The second tour Wrestling for Charity, a makeshift tag team tournament in which wrestlers face each others in singles competition before meeting in a tag team match at the end of the night. Points were given to wrestlers for winning as well as for making the pin/submission and the overall winner would get a title shot or, in the case of the champion, would be able to hand pick his next opponent. Clement declared that he'd defend his title throughout the tournament, much to the dismay of his brother, the newest member of the GLW roster, Pierre Lejosne. In the end, Pierre's greed would cause him to win the title shot through nefarious means. First by inferring Adam Sullivan and Clement's match to make sure Adam, the current points leader, lost and then by stealing the final pin of the tournament after blind tagging and then throwing his brother out of the ring. The two would met in the finale with elder Pierre being the victor, GLW's first C rated match. The final main tour was GLW Live!, which saw Pierre defend his title against all comers, including one time appearances from Cody and Danny Stryker. However the throughput of the tour was once again Clement/Pierre as two met two more times in 2016. The two went to a 30 minute time limit draw in the middle of the tour, setting up the tour's finale where Pierre outwitted and outlasted his younger brother to make his 12th defense of the GLW World title. The tour also saw the creation of the Tag Team titles, which were won on the tour's finale when the newly formed team of Canadian Wildman and Wonder Tic II defeated the team Patrick H. Dempset and Ryan Strong. At the end of the GLW Live! tour, the promotion had 20.6% popularity in the Great Lakes, however I ended the year with 19.2% pop due losing regional battles thanks to cost cutting my companies' promotional settings. The US started with D+ and falling economy and an A- and rising industry at the beginning of the year and more or less has the inverse going as we begin 2017. I think that's probably a good thing since more cash means more shows. With the end of the year comes a roll: 33. “Makeover Time” You get yourself an image makeover. Your sex appeal, star quality and menace EACH randomly change by anything between -5 and +15. (roll once for each stat) The picture above does not take this effect into account. I rolled three more times for each stat and got the following: Sex Appeal up +12, Star Quality +5, Menace -4. Jokes on you RNG, my menace was 0 to begin with. How many shows have you booked and what visibility do you have? I think the key to this challenge is the grind from Cult to National. Getting to regional is quick and easy, grinding out shows in a second region for cult can get dull but expanding nationally requires some good visibility. Once I had saved enough money to set up my own commercial broadcaster with Very Big visibility in the UK national came quite quickly. CRDaredevil05
Take 2?

Well hello there fellow RTG challenge partakers/followers. I am CRDaredevil05, someone who already completed the rigorous RTG challenge before with a lot of luck basically. Lol.

Anywho, I have decided to make a second attempt at this to see if I can do it again. Only this time... I'm streaming it on Twitch for the world to see! That's right, doing a streaming version of the RTG challenge and even getting this challenge out there and known for those who don't know about it already. I will be putting the site for it in the description of my YouTube videos with hopes that maybe I can turn others towards wanting to do this as well.

That being said, you can find me on either Twitch or YouTube under the username CRDaredevil05. I can't promise a set schedule for streaming the challenge because I'm a college student in a relationship and about to start a new job. I will be streaming it about once a week, maybe more some weeks, but not sure on set times or days. I usually also post when I'm streaming on my Twitter under the same username.

I won't be doing pictures on here for various reasons, but here are some of the details going on:

CRDaredevil05 is the wrestler's name.

Technician is his style of wrestling.

He's located out of the MidWest as is the starter company Pro Wrestling X.

Pro Wrestling X has the Evolve wrestling style although there might be some changes thanks to the new owner Wink Vasvasser.

As for stats, we're looking at:

35/65 Babyface/Heel

50 in Cocky, Crazy, Legit, Brute, Weird, and Wholesome

60 in Chain Wrestling, Mat Work, Submissions, Basics, Psychology, Consistency, and Stamina

70 in Safety

45 in Selling

25 in Athleticism

30 in Toughness, Charisma, Acting, Star Quality, and Menace

And 40 in Microphone

Definitely excited to make this happen and hope some of you join me for the ride to come. I'll be posting updates on here at times, including what my year end roll is.
Blake Trask
Going slow at the minute, but I did just beat my personal best for a match grade in my 97 game. OLLIE, very low cult, cracked an 82 for a match partnering with Phoenix III against El Bandido and Neutron. Bandido carried it, naturally, but Manny and III held up their end. Neutron was actually the weak link cause he's old. I'm pretty optimistic about my chances at the moment, but my top rows feel a little stalled. Still, Manny has a charisma/SQ/performance combo so we should get there in the end. Still weird to have to keep remembering I'm a heavily Perf > Pop promotion as OLLIE, though. (Manny celebrated by pulling an elaborate plot on Luis Montero, annoying him and his three proteges but amusing everyone else. Manny loves ribbing people). Tew101
10 years in my RTG. I am at cult for close to a year now. Still losing money, but starting to make some money back. My top stars are Hijo Mephisto, El Mitico Jr, The Silencer, Dusty Ducont, Primus Allen, and Garry the Entertainer. Garry the Entertainer turned heel into a Gary Walker a heel manager for Silencer & Ducont. I went after my first person in bidding war with Tommy Cornell Jr, and I got him. I think I am going to do a slow burn with him as a face treating him like a rookie. I might even pick up the troublesome David Stone to have them team then feud with who family legacy is better storyline.

Outside of me USPW and WLW are the top companies as international. WLW signed Champagne Lover after the disaster, and built their company off him. TCW is a cult, and really struggling. SWF bounces between cult and national. NOTBW, PGHW, GCG, and NYCW are all inactive. I take credit for NYCW as we were at war, and I signed any of their top workers which made them leave NYCW. Wolf Hawkins and Razan Okamoto are top workers in the world right now with Razan being 1,1, and 3 on last PWI 500.
Tew101
I am 11 years in my R2G. My company NSW is turning a low profit on months we don't have a pay per view and close to 500,000 on months we have a pay per view. Tommy Cornell Jr is my figurehead and doing well. Everything is going good, but boom SWF's owner Richard Eisen died and I think I am going to apply to be owner, but I grew attached to my company. I love my roster, and its better than SWF's, but I worry my owner will be a pain in the ass once it comes to bidding wars. I was already unable to sign back Logan Wolfsbaine and American Elemental II, because Marvin Earnest wouldn't let me. This is a hard call to make. Tew101
So I took over as SWF and it was a hard call. They're close to National(my starting company was Cult as well, but not as close). I had an okay roster, but a lot of money. I got lucky as soon as I went to SWF Matty Faith & Syd Collier both Main eventers of TCW (also Cult smaller than SWF and slightly larger than starting company). I packed them, and my user as an invading group The High Society here to save SWF. We all had about 65 pop, I just signed Jefferson Stardust from USPW who has a 77 pop, and he will be apart of the group. I intend to make the group 10ish people of guys I see helping us take over. That way I can split them all into refreshing storylines. I don't know who the Ultimate Baby Face will be to take my group down yet though. Maybe one will fall in my lap.
