</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Year One</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Pretty decent year, Wrestling Industry is booming and the Economy is recovery. UC is capable of carrying matches (as long as they don't go past 15mins).</p><p> </p><p>

Rolled 43 for the Mystery Box - <strong>"Internet Sensation"</strong> One of your wrestlers (random roll from the list) has become an internet video hit due to a pirate recording of his last match. +2 pop for your company in every area that you already have popularity in and +10 pop for the wrestler in all areas.</p><p> </p><p>

Rolled a 15 on that roll which lands on Martyr, who has been an MVP for me. Brought in as a cheap Menace to eventually be fed to the UC ended up getting Ripped when he bulked up the Light Heavyweight, Legendary gimmick and just kills it in any segment. Added bonus of having great chemistry. Only fear now is if he gets poached <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

So quick question, that's +2 to <em><strong>everywhere</strong></em> I've got pop? Including the rest of the world where I'm 0.8? Further more, that'll be +10 for Martyr in everyplace that gets boosted?</p>

This includes areas where you have 0.8 popularity. </p><p> </p><p> I'm guessing you post [TEW] shows on the internet?</p><p> </p><p> It's really difficult <em>not</em> to break a challenge in TEW. The game is too complicated for people not to find loopholes.</p>

Unless you're part of The Midnight Express. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="pGRsEuS.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pGRsEuS.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> How are they going to take out their enemy Jim Cornette when they are fighting each other?</p><p> </p><p> Also, going to need to give The Worm some more wins. Starting in Japan. I guess this goes better than my trial run, in which I left the year 2002 on the unemployment list.</p><p> </p><p>

First End of the Year roll was a 44. She's now a Skinny Lightweight</p>

Year 6 is done. 44 years left ;( </p><p> </p><p>

Aside from Brawling, the top rows continue to grow. Nothing has peaked yet. Psychology goes up by 1, would be wonderful if it could crawl to 80. Safety, consistency, selling & stamina all grow a tad. Microphone & Acting went up quite a bit so he's a solid talker now. </p><p> </p><p>

We actually hit Regional in 2021 at the end of April. And it's been pretty much smooth sailings since then. I've shed my penny pinching ways and started giving pay raises, and in June, I decided I wanted to make things a bit more fun and started signing guests wrestlers on short term contracts. AAA gals came in first (Alicia Strong, Christy Higgins, Wendy Anderson & Katherine Goodlooks), then a few free agents (ONille Mercier, Shiori Jippensha & Sammy Smoke) then a few Canadian veterans (Brooke Tyler, Chris Flynn, Sayeed Ali, Antonio Del Veccio) and an early time decline CVerse favorite, Zimmy Bumfhole. </p><p> </p><p>

As for permanent signings, I wanted to bring all of my alumni back. Tully Townsend, owner of rival company SCWG, rejected, and Hawkeye Calhoun, an original, rejected due to a hatred for me for an injury I caused during one of our first shows 5 years ago. Ben McQueen, Christopher Ball, Catherine Westybrook, Purple Rain, Rina Kasahara, and Senet Bedard all returned. Purple Rain quickly quit after getting pissed off having to wrestle with the alcoholic Senet Bedard, thanks to some lingering morale issues.</p><p> </p><p>

I've stuck by Senet Bedard and while he was initially drunk nearly every match, he's starting to wrestle sober more frequently. We leave no man behind in EVOLVE.</p><p> </p><p>

List time. Lessard climbs to the top of the ladder this year, and my UC follows tightly behind. Gloria still has quite a bit of wins this year but hasn't done much. Sarah Taylor also passes Nathan Coleman to climb up one. Marie passes Natalie thanks to her better performances across the year and strong tournament runs. Ikuko predictably climbs up. She's pretty much the best wrestler in the company. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><ol style="list-style-type:decimal;"><li>Marshall Lessard - C+ - (80-1-24) <br /></li><li>Jesus Glory - B- - (78-2-43) <br /></li><li>Glorious Gloria - D - (71-1-44) <br /></li><li>Sarah Taylor - C- - (59-1-35) <br /></li><li>Nathan Coleman - E - (58-0-59) <br /></li><li>Marie Punnen - C - (58-0-32) <br /></li><li>Natalie Coleman - D+ - (54-0-33)<br /></li><li>Golden Eye - C - (52-0-29) <br /></li><li>Nova - C - (45-0-26) <br /></li><li>Ikuko Matsumoto - B- - (43-0-19) <br /></li><li>Nami Genda - D- - (36-0-52)<br /></li><li>Juliette King - D - (31-0-46)<br /></li><li>Christopher Ball - D- - (23-0-29)<br /></li><li>Texas Hangman - D - (18-0-43)<br /></li><li>Tsunami - E+ - (15-0-62)<br /></li><li>Gypsy Rose - E+ - (15-0-64)<br /></li><li>Rina Kasahara - D - (13-0-29)<br /></li><li>Eric Erickson - E+ - (11-0-63)<br /></li><li>James Glory - C+ - (11-0-7) <br /></li><li>Catherine Westybrook - D- - (9-0-28)<br /></li><li>Ben McQueen - E+ - (9-0-19)<br /></li><li>Marcos Caballero - E+ - (8-0-61) <br /></li><li>Jose Caballero - D- - (5-0-7)<br /></li><li>Yumiko Mochizuki - E - (3-0-50)<br /></li><li>Senet Bedard - E - (1-0-14) <br /></li><li>Atasuke Miyazaki - E - (0-0-32)<br /></li><li>Mario Molina - E - (0-0-31)<br /></li></ol><p></p><p> </p><p>

Marshall Lessard continued his run as EVOLVE Champion with way more defenses than his two predecessors thanks to the increase in events and the Gauntlet Series. I intend on having less defenses in future years despite an even greater increase in defenses. Defenses against Brooke Tyler & Alicia Strong were particularly terrific. </p><p> </p><p>

Jesus Glory & Ikuko Matsumoto became the EVOLVE Tag Team Champions at the start of the year and have been a terrific tag team. I've often turned to them to headline my events. We've actually had plenty of teams form over the year: Westybrook & Rose reunited, James Glory (the younger brother) formed a team with Golden Eye, Jose Caballero was signed to team with Marcos Caballero, and recently Gloria began teaming with Tsunami. I'm trying to get their momentum all up so they can be suitable challengers to Jesus & Ikuko. I honestly do not see myself taking the belts off them for a long, long, time. </p><p> </p><p>

ONille Mercier, a 2 year pro and 35 year old, won our yearly Battle Royal. It was a solid C-rated match. Lessard retained in the Gauntlet Series. Natalie Coleman won the Gold Rush (MITB) but failed her challenge against Lessard. Marie Punnen won the Survival of the Fittest at the start of the year. Lessard won the Ultimate Endurance (30 min Iron Man) match against Nova, defending his title while he was at it. Marshall Lessard & Nova won the Super Showdown Series in a great match against Jesus & Ikuko. Brooke Tyler won the Womens Wrestling Classic in a finals match against Ikuko Matsumoto. Zimmy Bumfhole won the King of Toronto with a final match against Ikuko Matsumoto.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="95680d672195ab9cf9e76e986f37dc49.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/95680d672195ab9cf9e76e986f37dc49.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

We're pretty financially comfortable this year. The lack of real income is because I decided to start spending a bit wildly. We are regularly selling out the 2K Varsity Arena in Ontario but we're actually leaving Ontario in January to visit Manitoba. Now that we are comfortable in our pop in Ontario. We need to get 3 more regions to 28. Manitoba and Quebec are probably first. We've been winning our Regional battles comfortably but obviously that won't remain the case as we head outside of our own region. </p><p> </p><p>

Oh, other random thing. Nathan Coleman wanted to retire but I convinced him to wrestle another year.</p><p> </p><p>

Top 10 Matches of the Year:</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="b76404d5e535367380f1b3f4da1d78fd.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/b76404d5e535367380f1b3f4da1d78fd.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I suppose the goal next year is to have a top 10 full of B-rated matches. </p><p> </p><p>

Brooke Tyler was clearly pivotal in her 6 months with us, and was easily our best performer. Unless Nathan Coleman extends her contract behind my back, we'll be moving on past her in 2022.</p><p> </p><p>

Award Season:</p><p> </p><p>

Wrestler: Wolf Hawkins (USPW) 1X - USPW wins it once again. After 2 WHC reigns in SWF, Hawkins signed with USPW during his second reign to head to USPW this year and basically change the tides of the national battle. He's now a definite Hall of Immortals member. </p><p>

Company: PGHW (PGHW) 5X - Fifth straight. Despite USPW bearing down on them, and WLW & BHOTWG rising to National, PGHW continues to thrive.</p><p>

Team: Swoop McCarhy & Blake Belushi (RAW) 1X - 2nd win for Swoop</p><p>

Match: Axxis Jr vs. Dr. Rudo (SOTBPW). SOTBPW win this for the 5th time in 6 years. </p><p>

Show: BHOTWG Best of the Super Juniors XXII (BHOTWG) - Featured Okamoto beating Elemental III in the finals. Okamoto/Helikaon, MYSTIC/Sensational, Elemental III/Tsuneyo A rated matches.</p><p>

Young: Soetsu Tomimoto (PGHW) 1X - Upper Midcard at PGHW now. A few A-rated matches under his name.</p><p>

Veteran: Jim Force (USPW) 1X - Despite this being his second EOTY award, and finishing #5 in Power 500, he hasnt won a single title since the game began. </p><p>

Female: Amber Allen (NOTBPW) 2X - Repeat</p><p>

Most Improved Company: WCLOW (WCLOW) 1X - Reached Regional size. Should've been mine.</p><p>

Independent Wrestler: Tombstone 1X - Left DIW to go to RAW in 2017, was let go in 2020. He looks great, odd to see him not signed. </p><p>

Manager: Kristen Pearce (TCW) 1X - For some reason, USPW let 4X repeat winner Dawn Gemmell go in April so Pearce takes it this year.</p><p>

Announcer: Duane Fry (SWF) 9X - Repeat winner.</p><p>

Color Commentator: Eduardo Prieto (SOTBPW) 8X - 5 year streak. Ends Emma Chase's 5 year streak. </p><p>

Referee: Francis Long (CGC & 4C) 2X - </p><p> </p><p>

Top 5 Companies: USPW, 21CW, SWF, SOTBPW & TCW. USPW made it to Global thanks to Review. Their roster is impossibly stacked. National everywhere but Australia. 21CW is cult but has a patchwork of television deals that help stretch their reach. With Hawkins leaving, SWF finally ceded NB wins to USPW and it seems almost inevitable that they'll be driven to Cult especially with their inability to grow beyond America. SOTBPW fiddle between National and Cult. Currently at Cult. TCW as well. Currently at cult. PGHW are the only company besides SWF to be at National. </p><p> </p><p>

Dead Companies: None! WINNOW nearly died but I bought them and turned them into a dev.</p><p> </p><p>

New Companies: Lethal-Ring opened in November as small in Hawaii by Herb Mackintosh. Stardom Championship Wrestling opened in April as small but grew to regional in Chugoku, Japan by announcer Tanosuke Joshuyo. </p><p> </p><p>

Retirements: After spending a year and 4 months in USPW, Nemesis retired and left the business at 63 years old. He was inducted into the IPW Hall of Fame. Yuma Maruya retired and was inducted into the dead 5SSW hall of fame, she works as a manager for EXODUS and WCLOW. The Natural retired after 4 years with USPW and received a singles and tag team induction into NOTBPW hall of fame. Announces for NYCW. Stig Svensson retired and was inducted into UEW hall of fame. American Optimus/Black Eagle retired and was inducted with Red Panther into BHOTWG hall of fame. Commentates for WEXXV now. Tribal Warrior retired and got his second USPW Hall of Fame induction, this time as a solo wrestler. </p><p> </p><p>

Deaths: Nurse Darla Knight being impaled on a flag is the only interesting one.</p><p> </p><p>

Power 500. Alumni wise who wrestled for us this year, Alicia Strong got 299, Antonio Del Veccio got 470, Sayeed Ali got 489, Zimmy Bumfhole got 311. Brooke Tyler got 226. </p><p> </p><p>

Power 500 in our roster. </p><p> </p><p>

#318: Ikuko Matsumoto (HUGE Jump)</p><p>

#375: Jesus Glory (HUGE Jump)</p><p>

#413: Marshall Lessard (1st appearance)</p><p>

#461: Sarah Taylor (1st appearance)</p><p>

#474: Marie Punnen (1st appearance)</p><p>

#483: Nova (1st appearance)</p><p>

#493: Golden Eye (1st appearance)</p><p> </p><p>

Lots of guys made it in this year. James Glory is probably the only real name to miss out. Hopefully they can climb up even higher. </p><p> </p><p>

6. “Master And Disciple” You can become the protégé of anyone 10 years or more older than you are (they must be on your roster) OR you can become the mentor of anyone 10 years or more younger than you (they must be on your roster). Randomly roll from anyone who is eligble.</p><p> </p><p>

This one is a bit vague. Does it include non-wrestlers? Well, I had 4 to choose from (Road agent, referee, Nathan Coleman, and announcer). I ended up on Reese Paige the road agent. WASTE. </p><p> </p><p>

So this year is going to be big in that I am running a full time schedule now. No TV deal yet, but I've got a schedule of 100 shows that will be my yearly thing from now until 2066 (if we ever hit it). First is a G1-style tournament that will happen in Manitoba. </p><p> </p><p>

The goal is to get 28 pop in 4 regions for our first TV deal by the end of the year and to not go broke as we venture out of Ontario and towards Cult.</p>

<p>I’m promoting a hardcore fed in the US. It’s hard work but slowly sponsorship is rising and people are buying tickets. I’m running twice a month and though the debt is climbing I can see a day when it won’t be. Currently around the 20K mark.</p><p> </p><p>

Last night I got dinged with the unlicensed music, here’s a 25K fine, deal. I’m still at local size, I thought it was small or regional that would catch you on that. I have to say I’m pretty done in by this.</p>

As it is, I've got Ontario/Manitoba done, and I'm working on Quebec with Saskatchewan to follow. No way I finish it before the end of 2022 but I'm sure I'll get through it in 2023.</p>

<p>Hi - I need help -</p><p> </p><p>

Another attempt at RTG, another distrastrous run of finances, this time resulting in bankruptcy.</p><p> </p><p>

This time, rather than running twice a month, I ran every other month. I was still building debt but I was treading water as my size would go back to 0 on the months I didn’t have a show. What am I missing money-wise? I don’t really want to promote 4 times a month as it seems unrealistic (to me). There has to be a way to shave costs and still build popularity.</p><p> </p><p>

So far -</p><p> </p><p>

I’m making sure to hire 4 workers around the 200-250 range then it’s my owner and my user character. </p><p>

I turn off travel on the contracts. </p><p>

I use a generic venue for shows.</p><p>

Promote early in the month.</p><p> </p><p>

Any advice?</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks.</p>

Hi - I need help -

Another attempt at RTG, another distrastrous run of finances, this time resulting in bankruptcy.

This time, rather than running twice a month, I ran every other month. I was still building debt but I was treading water as my size would go back to 0 on the months I didn’t have a show. What am I missing money-wise? I don’t really want to promote 4 times a month as it seems unrealistic (to me). There has to be a way to shave costs and still build popularity.

So far -

I’m making sure to hire 4 workers around the 200-250 range then it’s my owner and my user character.

I turn off travel on the contracts.

I use a generic venue for shows.

Promote early in the month.

Any advice?

Thanks.

Assuming that you are also hiring the cheapest ref and let the workers be the road agent, you are doing all of the right things.

Looking at my NEO diary, it looks like the monthly expenses in the early going are around $1,000 which is cancelled out by miscellaneous income. So that means the event and worker costs need to be out matched by your sponsorship, merchandise and ticket sales.

This will depend on your product but that amount of income will typically be had with a popularity of around 5.0% to 7.0%.

If you don't want to spam weekly events for the first couple of months, I would recommend doing two shows each month for the first five to six months and then slow down a month every one to three months until you are in the black.

This is good advice. Thank you man.

  • 5 months later...

So I am using a 2001 RL mod and I forgot whose it was, but I am starting SHIMMER several years early with Allison Danger as the owner.

This is Emily "Emy" Storey

Erks4RW.jpg

And here is Shimmer's product. Tweaked a little.

B4CxLGc.jpg

I will do updates on a per yearly basis. I am hoping to do one show a month starting out with the occasional two show month. So I can run tournaments and what have you.

Let's see if Emy can get Shimmer up to national and how she develops.

<p><strong>First Year Recap:</strong></p><p>

2001 was a very productive and great year for SHIMMER and my UC Emy Storey. Emy went up in size randomly which increased Power, Athleticism, Menace, and SQ. The rest of her skills went up decently</p><p> </p><p>

SHIMMER held 14 shows and are on the cusp of small. Been making a profit almost every month except for June and Jully where they held two shows. SHIMMER vol. 6 and 7 in June. SHIMMER Vol. 8 and Chickfight 2001 in July. In which my UC won the tournament, but probably shouldn't. Mercedes Martinez was a better candidate or Allison Danger, but they were fighting over the SHIMMER title so needed someone else to step up. Allison Danger held the SHIMMER title from January to June before losing it to Mercedes Martinez who is still champion. While Team Future (Alpha Female, Beth Pheonix) was the inaugural Tag Team champs but lost it to the Minnesota Homewrecking Crew (Lacey, Rain) after two defenses. Wesna Busic will eventually dethrone Mercedes Martinez, maybe. I am not sure yet. Mercedes is still the workhorse of the company, but Busic is close.</p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong>Second Year Recap:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

2002 was even more productive than 2001, even if for the first four months I ended up losing regional battle after regional battle. Had to go to weekly shows to keep up with the loses and ended up going in the red. That is until around August when I got back in the black and losing regional battles meant nothing because of the popularity I was gaining thanks to the four shows.</p><p>

Emy steadily went up in all of her skills and I don’t think she has hit any caps yet. She’s been floating around the midcard the entire year. Losing more than winning. I’m just letting her improve as she keeps going. Hoping by the time she’s in her mid-20s she’ll be ready to hit the Main Event scene. Speaking of. Wesna Busic got the title from Mercedes Martinez in May. She was doing well in the role, but in August I hired Hailey Hatred. Putting on performances almost as good as the top tier of my card during her first match. So, in November I had Mercedes win the title from Wesna, who dropped it a month later to Hailey who is putting on performances better than anyone else on my roster.</p><p> </p><p>

Madison Eagles ended up becoming a cancer, pissing off half my roster. Starting fights, pulling ribs, showing up late. Especially pissing off Mistress Belmont. She is still mad, but she is getting over it. So, after picking a fight with a fan I had to fire Eagles, which improved her behavior, and causes her and Emy to hate each other.</p><p> </p><p>

Because I forgot to do last update.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, I'm probably gonna try this out again, or something close to it, starting in Mexico. Mexico has the most on-trend sponsor-friendly product styles, so...woo!</p>

And gain popularity/no law issues, so duh, and yeah. I'm going for a referee, some brawlers, some performance people, and a few managers. More on that later.</p><p> </p><p>
