Decided to start a L2G before TEW 2020 comes out. I'm basing my promotion in New Zealand. First time I've played in Austraila.

I've started with a F in Economy and a falling Wrestling Industy at D. This could be difficult... I'll update ye when I get through year 1.

Year one completed! I'm 52,000 in the negative. I've had 3 wrestlers leave, I have a 27% backstage rating, and I'm losing monthly regional battles!

 

I rolled a 16.

 

16. "Chance to Train" You have been offered the chance to train with a Wrestling Legend. Gain +20 points to spend on any performance row stats. (Basics, Psychology, Safety, Consistency, Selling)

 

I took +20 into psychology.

So Predictably I failed my New Zealand attempt... so I started another one in the UK. This time I went with a sport entertainment product so I should get much more sponsorship money. After running a sim of this I should be able to do monthly shows and break even before 18 months.

51. "Paging Dr Zahorian" Your owner thinks the roster looks a bit small. Hire a 'dirty doctor' using the backstage rules menu.

 

Kind of crappy rolls to be honest. I'm hoping for something better in year 4.

I haven't been keeping up to date with responses here (and i'll read through the thread when I get a chance) but do we really only have three completed challenges?!

Are there any suggestions for changes to Road to Glory 2020?

 

I think the basic challenge has stood the test of time but perhaps we need to rethink the annual rolls. Perhaps base them on achievements rather than just time progression?

 

Perhaps something regarding the "Perception" of the worker you are using and for the annual rolls...something about the Chemistry, which can now be edited in the Editor during gameplay aswell.

We could definitely add rolls based on reaching certain match grades, the promotion reaching the next level and popularity.

It'll take some looking at and discussion when everyone can see the game to be able to get a feel for what can and can't be done, so I'd definitely recommend a thread for setting up the challenge to start with then another one for the actual challenge itself.</p><p> </p><p>

Another thing I'd like to suggest ahead of time... pre-set skill value templates. So many people min/max with 75 and 0 for their skills which is kinda cheesy. I'd like to see a format where we have a few brackets of values we can use and then we have to go for it with that. For example, you use the following values spread over any skills (I've not done the maths, but they'd be equad if I had)</p><p> </p><p>

Bracket #1 (limited with depth): 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 20, 20, 20, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 0.</p><p>

Bracket #2 (peaks and valleys): 75, 75, 75, 75, 75, 50, 50, 50, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0.</p><p>

Bracket #3 (all rounder): 75, 65, 55, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 45, 35, 35, 35, 35, 25, 25, 15, 15.</p><p> </p><p>

You'd then just slot the numbers in as appropriate and have a slightly more diverse range of talents than we've tended to have for this challenge. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> End of year could then have a bunch of rolls for attributes, skills, random events, etc... depending on how you break them down it could be one personal one (skills/attributes) and one random one (friendships, company events, game world events, other company events) that could help create new relationships all over the place or just make random things happen. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Definately liking the pre-set skill value templates idea. The starting money will certainly need to be re-adjusted, considering the new range of wages for workers. Also the yearly rewards redone to account for personality tabs. Still need more time to drop any more concrete suggestions, especially since my modding experience is close to zero.
