RingRider
Maybe I just have gotten too attached to the previous 2013 & 2014 CVerse databases...maybe I'm just not yet familiar enough with the all the changes that have taken place in 2016 for me to feel totally comfortable launching a new campaign just yet... but I found myself desiring a new game with the CVerse as it was three years ago. So, I converted the default database from 2013 to 2016 and I realized just how much the game mechanics have changed. I was thinking, instead of simply running the converter, to better reflect all the features/changes that the new game calls for, I am going to rewind the 2016 data to match 2013. Anyway, would anyone else be interested in this? If so, is there more of a hankering for the 2013 data or the 2014?
RingRider
Doesn't seem to be much interest in this at the moment, (understandably as I'm sure many people are burnt out on the 2013 data), but I thought I'd post an update on my progress. Working backwards from the 2016 data (as opposed to simply converting the 2013 data for a number of reasons), I have retooled all the companies and many and other data categories (titles, storylines, company relationships, broadcast agreements, etc.). The biggest task still left is cycling through each individual worker and rewinding their stats and contracts back to their 2013 counterparts. If anyone is interested in joining in, there's plenty of workers to filter through! Its going to be interesting to see how the 2013 data projects out with the added '16 features. I'll have some interesting decisions to make as well regarding assigning figureheads and production settings.
edenborn
I'm totally interested in a 2013 CVerse mod. Glad you're doing this. The 2016 setup intrigues but I find myself missing certain characters that have left the business (Christian Faith, most notably) or retired from an in-ring career (Alex DeColt, Dan Stone Jr., Enforcer Roberts, etc.) And seeing TCW without Tommy Cornell makes me nostalgic for yesteryear. So, yeah, thanks for your pains on this. Love to download it when you're done.
pyroman
Good Luck with this. I am currently working on one for 2010, which was my first introduction to the CVerse. My ultimate goal since TEW2010 was released is to create one for June 2004, which is from the original version of the game. That one will be even more daunting since the gameworld was not as fleshed out as it is now leaving many more gaps to fill. That is why I had decided to focus on the relatively easier 2010. Slayen
I'd also like to voice an interest in a 2013/14 database.
Croquemitaine
There's definitely interest here in a 2013 or 2014 database. I think 2013 would be the more popular choice as there's greater seperation from the current data, but I'd be ecstatic to play with either. monele
I discovered TEW with its 2013 version, so I wouldn't mind being able to start games from that year, but under the new game engine <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
RingRider
Unfortunately I shelved this project for the time being. It was a little tedious (and becoming not very fun to be honest) so I set it aside in favor of some other, more exciting stuff that I hope to announce soon. I do prefer the '13 database however, so I do plan on coming back to it at a later time.

I had stepped away from TEW and modding in particular for a long while after some things happened. I've started getting back to it recently however. That said, I've been focusing on a 1989 mod and don't see myself coming back to this any time soon.</p>
probei
couldnt you just take the tew 2013 database and convert it to 16?

The conversion will create a relatively playable version of the database. But if you want it to run well, there needs to be some updating of the broadcasters, changing pictures, etc.</p>
