So, poll time again. Is anybody using these cuts? I know there are about 3000 backgrounds floating out there right now, but I'm curious. Mostly because if not, I won't worry about posting them, or posting as often.

Man I'd totally use them if you got your sizing under control. There seems to be no pattern whatsoever as to how you size cuts. The size I think that's perfect is the Ember pic in your last post.

My sizing is "under control" What I can't control is the shit quality pics out there. A lot of the older recuts I'm doing were originally cut, like, 7 years ago by other people. All the new cuts are from excellent sources, cut relatively the same size, obviously depending on the source picture, again. I've always preferred to get as much worker info in the pic as possible, without it being too small overall. I can't deal with the extreme close up face pics. That's why I started cutting (one of the reasons)

Not every wrestler/company seems to take the day out to get a decent promo pic (how they ever get booked baffles me. Maybe that's the one true Los Angeles jaded feature I have)

And as for the "no pattern" You may notice almost all the cuts are from about the nipple line, to the skull. Some will have more hair, because it looks better. That seems pretty patterned to me.

That seems pretty patterned to me.</div></blockquote> All I'm saying is try not to judge each pic and cut it off at the chest area, judge by the head, make sure everyone's size is exactly or very similar to one another. If it's a really bad pic that can't contort to those standards, just don't cut it! You have fair points, very much so. Many pics I can see are the same size, but a lot of the other times, the heads end up being different from each other, and people don't look at where the pics are cut off, they look at the heads. You don't have to take this advice, I'm just saying your pattern would be more easily noticeable.

And again, since some of my cuts are converts, I can't help that others have destroyed the information I needed. I'm very, let's say OCD for lack of better terms, about having workers with no pics. It's annoying, and a complete eyesore. So, unless you can get Johnny green horn to break out the bucks for the big WWE/ROH style pics, I'd rather have what I have available.

One last point. While I try to cut similarly, as often as available, I'm not someone who cares about a "style" as, since I'm not being paid, that literally is meaningless. There is no way you'll ever have a full set (unless you only have big name workers, or fictitious renders) that are all 100% identical in cut. It's impossible, just based on general quality alone.

I wasn't asking for critiques on my work, at all, since again, I couldn't care less. I asked if anyone used them. Because if not I'd stop wasting my time uploading, zipping, and posting. These cuts are for me. For my game. Period. The only exceptions are workers with belts, and maybe the random alts you run across, as I don't really use them in my set.

Since I've been doing this for a decade now, I think I'm gonna go ahead and keep doing it as I have. Use them, don't, print them out and burn them, makes no difference to me, and has nothing to do with the very, very, very simple question I asked. In all honesty, I should have ignored what you said anyway (no offense to you, personally, but, like I said, it had nothing to do with my question)

Perhaps do what I did all those years ago. Do'em yourself. See just how much time it takes to even find some of the pictures you need to fill in, let alone workable ones. Then cookie cutter them. We need more people helping cut anyway

First off, my post was very much so related to your question. You were asking if anyone was using them and I told you I would since you have a vast selection and are consistent. It was then when I gave you my explanation on why I don't use them. I'm not trying to tell you how to cut. I was just giving you some friendly advice that you don't seem to appreciate, so I'm sorry for wasting my time trying.

I do realize cutting pictures is a tedious task, in fact I do them myself a lot, I just don't post them that often.

Your point included you saying you're OCD about workers with no pics, well, fair enough, but I'm OCD about having cuts with consistent sizing, and your cutting style just isn't my cup of tea. So I felt obliged to respond to your question and give you the reason why I don't use them. What I meant in the whole using them or not thing, is yes I would use them if they were cut bigger, but I respect that's not what you like to do. I appreciate that. I apologize for the heatedness, but I felt a bit of an attack on my work that was uncalled for. Like I said, I know it's not everyone's taste (proven by what most cuts usually look like) I've just always preferred as much visual information as possible, without it being too up close or far off, especially if I'm not familiar with the worker. More often than not, a close up face shot doesn't tell you if he/she is super ripped, a fat slob, or what, you know? That's why I cut the way I do

You do great work and I use your cuts almost exclusively, like you, having no picture for a worker is an eyesore, so if I am missing someone you have not cut yet, then I would use it as a temp until you have one.

You do great work and whatever you do, you should be happy about it.

I appreciate that. The eyesore was one of the driving reasons I learned to cut. Of course that leads me to having thousands of recuts to do when I change backgrounds. lol.

If you have any requests, you can feel free to make them. It's very possible I have them on my to-do list, and sometimes I need a reason to cut, other than just finishing this never ending project.

I appreciate the other kind words as well. Even though I've cut for many backgrounds, this is only the 3rd I've used personally (kyky, then the CW grey) It's always nice to freshen up the game. Now, at some point I should actually PLAY the game....

FATAL!!!, i love your cuts not taking from other cutters, but your pictures pictures are my main preference, i also dont like tge close up pictures for the exact reason. I find i get more into the game seeing a visual of what they look like and it determines sometimes if they have that main event status in my mind <img alt="

The kind words are much appreciated, so, I figured a lil update, for anyone who does like/use my cuts;

About 2 months ago, or so... over the holidays, my computer had some issue, and I had to do a recovery on it. While all my cuts, and other personal files were safe, unfortunately I lost my actual TEW data set. The same set I've kinda worked on, updated, tried to tweak for some 5 years now. lol. So, I was already burning out a bit before that happened, and was limiting myself to just newer cuts, and only a few additions. But, with the loss of all of that, it halted everything.

I'm sure I'll begin cutting again at some point, maybe soon, but, who knows. For now, I have still been collecting pics to cut, just haven't really been motivated to do so.
