Meanwhile in the office of the Director of Operations, Bret Hart announces that following his actions last night Jeff Jarrett has been fined heavily and has been barred from the building tonight, so Chris Jericho will have to wait until Sunday to get revenge. <p>PRE SHOW</p><p>

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Joey Matthews defeated Eddie Colon in 9:26 by pinfall. <strong>44</strong></p><p>

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Randy Orton defeated Joel Maximo in 12:02 by pinfall with an O-Zone. <strong>52</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Christmas Feast 2009</strong></p><p>

Sunday, week 2, December 2009</p><p>

Florida State Expo Hall, Tampa, Florida (10,425 capacity)</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE THIRD DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Davey Richards v Eddie Edwards</strong></p><p>

Wolf v Wolf in the opening contest of PSW's Christmas treat to their fans. It was a good even match, perhaps not as exciting as some people had hoped and this might have had an effect on the crowd being a little cold. It was Eddie who just edged the match in 12:43 by pinfall leaving Davey looking very disappointed in the ring as Eddie celebrated with the fans at ringside. <strong>61</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

T. J. Perkins (champion) v Ricky Steamboat Jr</strong></p><p>

Steamboat gets his contractual rematch from losing the title to T. J. P. at Code of Honour. This second match between the two was significantly better than their first meeting with high flying, fast paced action abound throughout. The result was no different as Perkins won in 12:43 by pinfall. T.J. Perkins makes defence number 3 of his PSW Youth Championship title. <strong>62</strong></p><p>

T. J. Perkins has won his last seven matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE SECOND DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Paul London v Super Dragon</strong></p><p>

This was somewhat disappointing, with the match drifting along due to a lack of psychology. Super Dragon had momentum recently when he was TV champion but when he lost the title and Bret Hart finally managed to get the National Tag Team Championship off his Army courtesy of New Wave, Dragon's Army have gone quiet and Super Dragon has gone off the boil. Paul London capitalised on Dragon's recent decline by closing out the contest in 10:33 by pinfall with a London Calling. <strong>59</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In the backstage interview area Jeff Jarrett is gloating about smashing Chris Jericho over the head with a guitar in a Birmingham, Alabama hotel this time last week. He says at the end of the night he will be gloating about becoming the new PSW National champion. <strong>54</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Nora Greenwald (champion) v Melissa</strong></p><p>

A great match between two of the best female wrestlers in North America and they both showed the men to have competed so far tonight how it is done in the ring. Nora has been dominant since arriving in PSW but tonight saw Melissa hand her her first defeat as she won the title in 11:56 by pinfall. Melissa wins the PSW Women's Championship title. <strong>71</strong></p><p>

Nora Greenwald's win streak ends at ten.</p><p>

<img alt="images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTyeBO9g8AWuIEqjFk3Eag6Xd1OCPCjcVv6o4AULZWo-9Q917HAuw" data-src="https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTyeBO9g8AWuIEqjFk3Eag6Xd1OCPCjcVv6o4AULZWo-9Q917HAuw" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW NATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

New Wave (champions) v Desperate Measures</strong></p><p>

This bout also saw some great action and featured four wrestlers all with completely different styles in the ring. They all complimented each other well and the two teams worked very well together to make for a very entertaining tag team match.</p><p>

Desperate Measures were looking to regain the titles they once held some time ago but they fell short in 14:47 when Austin Aries defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri by pinfall with a Brainbuster. New Wave make defence number 3 of their PSW National Tag Team Championship titles. New Wave are looking very strong as champions. <strong>72</strong></p><p>

Aaron Stevens is improving in technical skills.</p><p>

New Wave have won their last twelve matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>FEAST OR FIRED</strong></p><p><strong>

AJ Styles, Chris Harris, Chris Hero, Christopher Daniels, CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Iven Michaud, John Cena, Low Ki, Roderick Strong (TV champion)</strong></p><p>

The annual Feast or Fired match that will change the future of five wrestlers lives. Four for the better and one very much for the worse.</p><p>

There were some interesting dynamics here. All three members of Triple X were involved with James Mitchell at ringside. CM Punk and Colt Cabana worked together as a team while Iven Michaud was here without his partner Iven Lessard.</p><p>

First to grab a case was Christopher Daniels. With the clear number advantage of having three tenths of the field, it was almost inevitable that Triple X would go home with one case and Daniels obliged by retrieving case 4.</p><p>

The second to grab a case was Chris Harris, who took full advantage of the other eight remaining fighters battling with each other to grab case 3.</p><p>

Iven Michaud was next to get a case despite not having his tag team partner with him. He tossed the TV champion Roderick Strong out of the ring giving him a free climb to get case 1.</p><p>

The final case came down to a three way battle between AJ Styles, CM Punk and Chris Hero. That was until John Cena arrived on the scene and took out both AJ and Punk with a Double Attitude Adjustment. This took it's toll on Cena however and allowed Chris Hero to get case 2 and round out the match. <strong>84</strong></p><p>

Iven Michaud has switched to a wild man gimmick, rated 69.</p><p>

Iven Michaud and Roderick Strong are improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

Chris Jericho walks to the ring, with bandages wrapped around his head. Jericho admits he is hurt, but he says he'll be damned if he is going to let Jeff Jarrett take his National Championship. Jericho says Jarrett is going to have to knock him out to take the title. <strong>72</strong></p><p>

Chris Jericho did a masterful job improvising with the crowd.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Keiji Sakoda v Lance Storm</strong></p><p>

Disappointing, especially given the quality of the matches that preceded it and especially as Lance Storm can normally be relied on to put on a quality match. He won hereIn a match that had some good action and average heat, Lance Storm defeated Keiji Sakoda in 13:51 by submission with a Canadian Maple Leaf but neither man looked particularly impressive. <strong>61</strong></p><p>

Keiji Sakoda has lost his last five matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION</strong></p><p><strong>

Matt Sydal v Rob Van Dam</strong></p><p>

A lack of chemistry made this match look awkward which was a shame as it had the potential to be a truly outstanding match. It was a Premier Division battle between two former National champions and it was RVD who took the spoils in 17:32 by pinfall with a Frog Splash. <strong>71</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PSW NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Chris Jericho (champion) v Jeff Jarrett</strong></p><p>

A main event of top quality between a hurting champion and the challenger who caused his pain.</p><p>

Jericho had a big target on his head. Literally, it being bandage up following Jarrett's brutal and disturbing assault in a hotel lobby one week ago. Jarrett being the veteran that he is targeted this and had Jericho in serious trouble.</p><p>

Jericho somehow withstood Jarrett's onslaught and eventually his class showed as he put the challenger in a vulnerable position and then knowing he was hurt, wasted no time in finishing off the job in 25:02 by submission with a Lion Tamer. Chris Jericho makes defence number 3 of his PSW National Championship title. <strong>92 – match of the night</strong></p><p>

Chris Jericho has won his last twelve matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Show rating: B+ 85</strong></p><p>
