PSW Superstars of Wrestling starts in a similar vein to last week. Bret Hart is in the ring, and he proclaims Jeff Jarrett and John Cena are joint winners of Grappler's League Second Division, both are promoted to the First Division and both qualify for the Crowning Glory Series unless John Cena is still champion, when his place goes to the next wrestler who hasn't qualified. Adam Sandler interrupts again and he tells Bret that officials at Spike TV feel that if there is a playoff to decide who wins promotion from the Third Division, then there should also be one to decide who wins the Second Division, so Adam Sandler makes the playoff match for next week. 76

Adam Sandler's performance was good.

PSW YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

Drew McIntyre (champion) v Austin Creed

A smaller than expected crowd in Orlando sees Youth Championship action kick off the show and despite the champion and challenger looking awkward in the ring together the match was still good and well received.

McIntyre is fast becoming the man to beat in the youth division and this remains the case as he took the spoils in 9:18 by submission with a Reverse STO. Drew McIntyre makes defence number 5 of his PSW Youth Championship title. 60

Drew McIntyre has won his last thirteen matches.

GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE THIRD DIVISION PLAYOFF

Loser does not earn promotion or qualify for Crowning Glory Series

Davey Richards v Eddie Edwards v Ricky Steamboat Jr

With all three having identical records in the Third Division and a mini league between them unable to seperate them, we have this playoff match where it doesn't really matter if you don't win – you just have to avoid losing.

This led to a different dynamic to a normal three way match. Instead of trying to break up pins or submissions, each wrestler allowed them to 'take their natural course'.

It led to an intriguing match and one where all three were at one point under threat of losing the match and opportunity. The end finally came in 12:46 when Ricky Steamboat Jr. defeated Eddie Edwards by pinfall with a Flying Karate Chop. 65

Randy Orton is in the backstage interview area. He talks about tonight's main event and says he will leave Top of the World on top of the world as the brand new PSW Continental champion. 54

PSW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP

Nora Greenwald (champion) v Melissa

A good match between the two best women in PSW. The two have been rivals over recent months with Melissa taking the title off Nora before Nora won it back a few months after.

Here, Nora emerged the better woman in the rematch from Anniversary Show IX and while this may be it for Melissa for now, you can be sure she will be back for another shot at some point in the future. This one ended in 12:11 by pinfall with a Molly Go Round. Nora Greenwald makes defence number 1 of her PSW Women's Championship title. 69

Nora Greenwald has won her last six matches.

Cade Thesz v Keiji Sakoda

Cade Thesz may have left PSW under a cloud in the past, but he's been very impressive since he returned beating both Alex Wright and Rob Van Dam. Here he made it three from three with an equally impressive victory over the tough Keiji Sakoda. Sakoda isn't defeated easily, but Thesz managed to get the win in 14:26 by pinfall. Thesz is slowly climbing up the rankings. 67

Chris Jericho spoke from the backstage interview area. He says that tonight he is taking back what is rightfully his… the PSW Continental Championship. [b82[/b]

Chris Jericho enjoyed the freedom of going off script and performed well.

CM Punk v Rob Van Dam

Both men are in a bit of a rut. CM Punk's career in PSW has hit the buffers somewhat. He hasn't been winning much and the influx of talent at the top of the company has pushed him down the order somewhat. Rob Van Dam was cheated out of a chance of winning the PSW Continental Championship by his former protege Cade Thesz and in what was billed as RVD's Revenge last month at Anniversary Show IX, he lost to Thesz. Here is an opportunity for both men to get back on track.

It was RVD who did this in a match that saw some great action and a lot of kicks. He got the duke in 14:50 by pinfall with a Frog Splash. 72

PSW NATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

To Kijar, With Love (champions) v Londrick

The tag team division in PSW is probably the strongest it has ever been with a number of teams capable of holding the titles and a very impressive, undefeated team currently holding them. This was evident in this match which saw some great high flying action and Londrick nearly winning the titles that they have held twice before.

The undefeated champions maintained their streak though by closing out the match in 15:10 when T.J. Perkins defeated Brian Kendrick by pinfall. To Kijar, With Love make defence number 3 of their PSW National Tag Team Championship titles. 71

T. J. Perkins has switched to a Fan's Own gimmick, rated 57.

To Kijar, With Love have won their first nine matches.

It is John Cena's turn to talk about tonight's main event. He is in the locker room warming up, with the PSW Continental Championship belt lying on a bench near by. Cena points to it, and says that baby is going nowhere. It is his and it will remain his. 78

GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION

Austin Aries (3-0-3) v Kevin Steen (3-0-3)

A very intriguing match between tag team partners who are former champions and there is a lot at stake. The winner qualifies for Crowning Glory Series and the loser doesn't.

Given what was at stake, neither man held back. Aries gave Steen everything he had, and vice versa. It seemed like New Wave might implode before our eyes. However, once the match finished with victory for Kevin Steen in 13:42 by submission with a Crossface, Austin Aries approached his partner and while disappointed in defeat, hugged him. New Wave are still very much together. 69

GRAPPLER'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION

AJ Styles (4-2-2) v Eiji Ezaki (6-0-1)

AJ is a little like CM Punk in that he has dropped down the pecking order a little as more top level stars have been signed by PSW and he hasn't been winning quite as often as he used to. And like Punk, this trend continued here as Eiji Ezaki got the better of Styles in 16:55 by pinfall with a Phoenix Splash. 72

TOP OF THE WORLD

PSW CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

John Cena (champion) v Jimmy Yang v Lance Storm v Randy Orton v Christopher Daniels (with James Mitchell) v Chris Jericho

A frantic and sometimes brutal match that will be remembered for two wrestlers taking a big fall from the top of the ladder.

To be eligible to be able to hand the PSW Continental Championship belt on the hook high above the ring, a wrestler first has to score a pinfall or submission over another competitor. Doing so sends the defeated opponent to the penalty cage for two minutes.

A couple of wrestlers became eligible fairly quickly. John Cena scored a pinfall over Lance Storm after a Sit Out Powerbomb after about five minutes and Chris Jericho made Christopher Daniels tap out after about six mintues with a Lion Tamer.

Cena and Jericho had a tussle over the title belt before both being surprised by their previous vanquished foes after thirteen minutes with a simultaneous roll up. Only Yang and Orton weren't eligible at this point.

This changed just shy of the twenty minute mark. Yang pinned Cena to send him back to the penalty cage. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho was ascending the ladder with the title belt, only to be met by Randy Orton who raced up the other side and dropped Jericho off the ladder from about two thirds of the way up with a thunderous RKO. After a one arm cover, it took Orton a while to get back up, while nearly two minutes rolled by before Jericho even started his two minutes in the penalty cage.

The match then became a six way brawl to get the belt and hang it above the ladder. The end was brutal. Jimmy Yang had possession of the belt and was trading punches with Christopher Daniels at the top of the ladder. Lance Storm grabbed the ladder and gave it an almighty shove which sent Yang crashing to the top of the penalty cage which gave Chris Jericho a shock who had suffered another RKO, this time from the top rope and still had a minute in the cage. Christopher Daniels meanwhile went crashing straight to the mats at ringside. Neither Yang nor Daniels got back up before the match finished.

Orton met Lance Storm with another RKO, only for Cena to throw Orton out of the ring straight after and leave him with free reign to hang the title and end the match in 34:08. John Cena makes defence number 2 of his PSW Continental Championship title. 82 – match of the night
