Please note I am using a converted and slightly updated version of the Rising Storms mod from 13. The only obvious changes I have made are bringing back The Honky Tonk Man (who was originally advertised for the Royal Rumble but was released shortly before) on a three month contract and making Andre available for my shows (though he's obviously limited in what he can do, I forgot to change his status to "occasional wrestler" in the editor before I began the mod). I also made Paul Bearer the immediate manager of the Undertaker and gave them good chemistry together. I have also changed the events somewhat and have added an event broadcasting deal with USA Network to show Saturday Night's Main Event (because NBC won't touch me at the current settings, which I apparently didn't change right.) TV Tapings have been altered to the days which they air for the time being (barring a patch change later). I have created a similar deal for WCW to air Clash of the Champions on TBS.

- With the Royal Rumble just a few weeks away, there's been a lot of speculation concerning the future of some WWF talents. One talent, Dan Marsh (also known as Dangerous Danny Davis) has already been released while two other on-air talents (Mike McGuirk and Brother Love) are apparently going to be reassigned, with the latter going to a backstage role and the former having their contract lapse.

- The WWF has hired several new pay-per-appearance openers in recent days, using them for enhancement talent for their large roster (and three hours of television a week). There are also several new talents set to make their debut, as soon as contracts are finalized.

- Andre the Giant has been announced as a participant in this year's Royal Rumble, although it's uncertain if his health problems will actually allow him to compete.

- Backstage scuttle is that the Warrior's attitude and ego is becoming somewhat untenable, but whether that will lead to him losing the title soon is unclear.

- WWF Superstars has been expanded to a 90 minute show every week, as opposed to one hour.

I'm guessing this is a problem with the conversion of the mod but...everyone just canceled their TV shows in my world the first day of game time...except for mine.

Sooo...is there anyway to fix this back to normal? Or am I going to have to go back into the editor, fix it, and start the game over?

Kerry wasn't actually jobbing yet at this point, that came in 1992 and didn't last very long. This was around the same time as his strong Royal Rumble showing, though after his IC title run.

How is it coming with the TV contracts issue, Darbicus?

I think I've got it figured out. I still have the problem of people getting a lot more timeslots than they should, but I can live with that as opposed to the alternative.

I should hopefully have the first card up later tonight.

We are welcomed into WWF Superstars, the first show of the new year, by our trio of announcers Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Rowdy Roddy Piper. They run down the card we have tonight, including the #1 contender to the World Wrestling Federation Championship in action against the All-American, Hacksaw Jim Duggan. But we kick things off with the man from the darkside.

Match #1: The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine

Thus far in the World Wrestling Federation, we have seen the Undertaker pretty much leave a trail of bodies in his wake. But he faces his stiffest competition to date in the form of the former Intercontinental Champion, The Hammer. Free from the clutches of Jimmy Hart, Greg Valentine holds his own against the seven footer, but sheer power mixed with surprising agility finally win out the day, as the Undertaker continues to pile up the bodybags, as he delivers a Tombstone to Valentine and secures yet another impressive victory.

Winner by Pinfall: The Undertaker

We go backstage where Mean Gene Okerlund is standing by with a Royal Rumble Report. We already know that Sgt. Slaughter will be challenging World Wrestling Federation Champion, The Ultimate Warrior, at the Royal Rumble. More over we also know that the 30-man over the top rope Rumble Match will feature a who's who of WWF Superstars, with names including The British Bulldog, Earthquake, and the Eighth Wonder of the World himself, Andre the Giant. We also have one another name to announce, as last year's winner has just entered his hat into the ring....Hulk Hogan.

We cut to prerecorded comments about the Royal Rumble match, with Hogan talking about fighting for America and representing all our troops overseas. He also says as an aside, that he hopes The Ultimate Warrior, can take out that Benedict Arnold, Sgt. Slaughter, brother, and that after Slaughter has been defeated by the power of the Warrior, he'll have to tangle with the power of Hulkamania.

Match #2: The Big Bossman vs. Haku w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Heenan excused himself to manage his man, Haku, against the WWF's resident law and order man. Recent weeks of anger towards Heenan for comments made about Bossman's mother, has caused the lawman from Cobb County Georgia to go on a wrecking mission of the entire Heenan family, starting with Haku. The two are evenly matched throughout, with Heenan shouting instructions at the Island Monster. Haku used his martial arts ability to keep Bossman at bay, but he eventually rallied and hit a Boss Man Slam. That would have been the end of it, had Bobby Heenan not jumped up on the ring apron. Boss Man looked to grab Heenan by the coat, when suddenly Mr. Perfect came from the back and attacked Bossman with the Intercontinental Title Belt, causing a dq victory for the Bossman.

Winner by disqualification: The Big Bossman

Afterwards Perfect and Haku but a licking on Bossman, even beating him down with his own night stick for good measure. Heenan slapped the Bossman around a couple of times, before the Heenan family vacated the premises.

We cut to backstage where Sean Mooney is standing by with the Million Dollar Champion, Ted DiBiase. The Million Dollar Man talks about how 1991 is going to be the year where he finally completes his quest to become the WWF champion, and where he will prove that not only is he the richest man in the world, but he's also the most talented wrestler in the world as well. The conversation extends to DiBiase's bodyguard, Virgil, and DiBiase dismisses how he treats Virgil, saying that Virgil is paid well for what he does, and he knows not to bite the hand that feeds him. Virgil, for his part, remains stoic throughout the interview.

Match #3: The Million Dollar Man w/Virgil vs. The Texas Tornado

The former IC Champion was looking to get back on a run as he faced Ted DiBiase this week on WWF Superstars. The two were well and evenly matched throughout, but DiBiase's underhanded tactics eventually seemed to turn the tide in his favor. Despite his best efforts though, DiBiase couldn't seem to put Kerry von Erich away. As von Erich started to get his second wind, DiBiase motioned for Virgil to trip up the Texas Tornado on an Irish Whip. DiBiase whipped von Erich into the ropes, only for the Tornado to reverse it. Without looking, Virgil inadvertantly tripped up the Million Dollar Man, causing him to stumble forward and then walk right into a Discus Punch, afterwards the Tornado wound up scoring the pinfall.

Winner by pinfall: The Texas Tornado

After the match, DiBiase berated Virgil for screwing up, even slapping him across the face. Virgil appeared to grow angered by this, but held his tongue and escorted his employer out of the ring.

Backstage we get pre-recorded comments from the WWF Champion, The Ultimate Warrior, as he cuts a short promo on Sgt. Slaughter. He says the power of the Warrior is greater than any political squabble that Slaughter may indulge in, and that all the armed forces in Iraq won't be able to save him from the reckoning that will be upon him at the Royal Rumble.

Match #4: WWF Tag Team Championship Match- The Hart Foundation © vs. The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji

The Orient Express certainly gave the champions a big challenge, especially with the devious Mr. Fuji at ringside to help them out. They isolated Bret for much of the match, trying to weaken the smaller of the two Foundation members, but Bret's technical ability won out the day, and his resiliance led him to tag in the powerhouse Neidhart. The Express tried to use a two on one advantage briefly, but the Hart Foundation grew wise to their tactics and eventually finished off Kato with a Hart Attack to retain the titles.

Winners by pinfall and STILL WWF Tag Team Champions: The Hart Foundation

Right after the match we learned that, at the Royal Rumble, The Rockers are going to receive the next shot at whomever the champions might end up being.

Match #5: Sgt. Slaughter w/General Adnan vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

Despite his strength and enduring love for his country, it was pretty clear that Duggan was a little out of his league in this match, as Sgt. Slaughter controlled the match pretty much from start to finish. Duggan did manage to get some offense in near the end of the match, but a missed knee drop on the part of Duggan led to Slaughter locking him in the Camel Clutch and pulling out a submission victory.

Winner by submission: Sgt. Slaughter

After the match, Slaughter continued the assault on Duggan, with General Adnan joining him in putting the boots to the All-American. This ended quickly, however, as The Ultimate Warrior came running down to ringside, clearing out the challenger and his commanding officer. The show ends with the Warrior standing tall, staring down at the turncoat.

- There has been some concern from Sky One Tv concerning WWF broadcasts and their apparent quality, but a change in timeslot from late evening to late night seems to have satiated them for now.

- Shane Douglas is the first new signee to join the WWF, but hardly the last. We've heard that Scott Hall, Stan Lane, Jimmy del Ray & Jim Cornette have all been signed off of independent promotions, while Owen Hart & Mike Rotundo have been signed away from WCW. There could be a couple of releases soon as well, to clear up some dead weight on the roster.

- Andre the Giant was announced for the Royal Rumble match this week, but don't expect to see him in the ring otherwise. The original plan was for him to compete at Wrestlemania if he was healthy enough against The Undertaker, but those plans seem to have changed.

- As announced this week on WWF Superstars, The Rockers will be facing The Hart Foundation for the WWF Tag Team Titles at the Royal Rumble. Also announced this week was a matchup between the Big Bossman and The Barbarian, and a match between Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and The Honky Tonk Man.

We are welcomed in by our intrepid announcers, who run down the card for tonight, just two weeks away from the Royal Rumble. Tonight we will see the World Wrestling Federation Champion in non-title action against Sgt. Slaughter's commanding officer, General Adnan. We also know that the Macho King is here tonight, and he has a request to deliver to the Ultimate Warrior as well. Hulk Hogan will be in action tonight too, as he goes one on one against The Mountie.

Match #1: Earthquake w/Jimmy Hart vs. Tugboat

Two of the largest men in the WWF squared off in this titanic showdown just ahead of the Rumble. The announcers make mention of the fact that both men could be considered heavy favorites to win the Royal Rumble outright, given their large girth. Neither man seems intent on giving an inch to the other one, each using their weight and strength in a seeming stalemate. However, though, it finally is Tugboat who makes the mistake, running hard into the turnbuckle as Earthquake rolls out of the way, allowing the big man to deliver an enormous powerslam and follow it up with an Earthquake Splash for the pinfall.

Winner by pinfall: Earthquake

As we come back from commercial, we are on the set of the Barber Shop, as Brutus Beefcake is set to welcome a mystery guest, a newcomer to the World Wrestling Federation. The crowd sits and watches as the cuban Master of Machismo, Razor Ramon slowly saunters his way onto the set of the Barber Shop. He says he is here to carve a name out for himself in the annals of the World Wrestling Federation, and he doesn't care how he has to do it. He says that soon, he will go through everyone in the WWF like a hot knife through butter.

Match #2: Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart vs. Shawn Michaels

One half of the tag team title match squared off against each other in a singles match warmup, and quickly it appeared as if The Anvil was determined to slow down the much faster Michaels with a powerful ground game. Michaels lept through the air with the greatest of ease though, keeping the tag team champion on his feet for nearly the entire match. In an impressive display, Michaels eventually delivered a hard superkick to the jaw of Neidhart, and then followed it up with a high cross body block from the top rope to score the 1-2-3.

Winner by pinfall: Shawn Michaels

Backstage, we get pre-recorded comments from The Undertaker and his manager, Paul Bearer. They slowly run down the participants in the Royal Rumble, but stop at the Eighth Wonder of the World himself, Andre the Giant. Undertaker says Andre may consider himself a legend, and an immortal, but no one can escape their ultimate destiny. And at the Rumble, Giant or not, Andre will be just another victim laid out in a bodybag, to rest in peace...

Match #3: Big Bossman & The Bushwhackers vs. Mr. Perfect, The Barbarian & Haku w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

The entire Heenan family stood ready for the Bossman and his allies to try and knock down this week, especially after the Bossman had been foiled by an attack the week before in his match with Haku. Unfortunately for him the Heenan family was on top of things once again, as they isolated the Bushwhackers for much of the match and kept the lawman waiting on the apron. Towards the end of the match, Bossman finally got in the ring and cleaned house of the Heenan family, taking control. As he and the Bushmen looked to finish off Mr. Perfect, Haku and The Barbarian jumped Bossman from behind and separated him from Cousin Luke, allowing Perfect to hit the Perfect-plex and seal the victory.

Winners by Pinfall: Mr. Perfect, Haku & The Barbarian

We come back from commercial to find Gene Okerlund standing by, as he brings in his guest the Macho King Randy Savage. Instead of Savage we get the Sensational Queen Sherri coming out, and she calls the Ultimate Warrior to the ring. As the champion enters, Sherri extolls his virtues as a man of honor and as a great champion. She already says that Sgt. Slaughter has granted the right of first challenge to the Macho King, should Slaughter win the WWF title at the Royal Rumble, and Sherri wants Warrior to do the same. Warrior thinks about it only for a second, before giving a resounding no to Sherri, leaving her screaming as he poses for the fans.

Match #4: Hulk Hogan vs. The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart

The crowd came unglued for the arrival of the Hulkster, as he proudly waved the red white and blue high above his head. The Mountie tried to get an early jump on Hogan, attacking him with the Canadian flag and then pelting him with hard shots across the back. Hogan started to get the adrenaline pumping though, and The Mountie was quick to sacrifice Jimmy Hart to Hogan as a distraction to regain the upper hand. The Mountie nearly scored the gigantic upset on a couple of occasions, but eventually Hogan Hulked up and hit the legdrop for the victory en route to the Royal Rumble Match.

Winner by Pinfall: Hulk Hogan

Match #5: Non-Title Match: The Ultimate Warrior vs. General Adnan w/Sgt. Slaughter

General Adnan entered the ring with a lot of pomp and circumstance, but alas that was about all he could muster. The Warrior beat down Slaughter's commanding officer from pillar to post for almost five minutes, and looked to make quick work of the General with his press slam, when Slaughter immediately intervened and attacked Warrior from behind with a steel chair.

Winner by disqualification: The Ultimate Warrior

Afterwards, Slaughter and Adnan took turns beating down the Warrior, stomping away at him and drilling him in the back with a steel chair. Slaughter threw the WWF Title down in front of the champion and then locked him in the Camel Clutch, his face a grostesque mixture of anger, hatred and determination. The show ends with the Warrior barely moving, as Slaughter celebrates with the WWF Title and Iraqi flag high above his head.

- There was some tumultousness last week at the television tapings, as Hawk worked his match high on something. It pissed off his opponents, in Brian Costello and Barry Horowitz, but while Horowitz seems to be taking it in stride, Costello has been raising a ruckus about it all week, and this week was taken to wrestler's court for disrespect to another veteran. While Hawk may be on a short leash for his substance abuse problems, Costello may be on his way out if things continue on their current course.

- Speaking of on their way out, Mike Sharpe was released from his contract effective immediately. There's no certain rumor as to why, but there's an indication that he, among others, may have failed a drug test and that Sharpe was fired as an example to everyone else.

- Steven Dane was given a tryout match last week, but it didn't seem to go over so well.

- There has been a backstage feud brewing between Jake Roberts and The Ultimate Warrior, which came to a verbal confrontation last week. Warrior being the instigator, he had a stern talking too from McMahon. It didn't seem to help.

Rick Martel - A nice cheap win keeps the heat running here.

Mr. Perfect - "The Hammer" is a solid JTTS by now, but that's about all.

Earthquake - This seems like a perfect place for the Quake to run roughshod over everyone.

Bret Hart - Stronger members defeat weaker ones.

The Barbarian - A nice little Barbarian push would not go unappreciated.
