<em>The World Wrestling Federation is proud to present Wrestlemania VII from the Los Angeles Sports Arena in Los Angeles California. With every championship on the line, and a huge double main event, the match promises to be one for the record books.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Boot Camp Match</strong></p><p>

"The Immortal" Hulk Hogan vs. Sgt. Slaughter w/General Adnan</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The issue between the Immortal Hulkster and the Iraqi turncoat has been boiling over ever since the Gulf War began, and especially since the Royal Rumble when Hogan cost Slaughter the WWF Title (though he was just keeping the match fair) and Slaughter did cost Hogan to Rumble match itself. As the war of words has turned violent in recent weeks, especially with Slaughter's attempts to desecrate the American Flag, Hogan has challenged the Iraqi Corpsman to Slaughter's own specialty, a Boot Camp Match: where anything goes and the only way to win is to make your opponent surrender.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>World Wrestling Federation Championship Matchp</strong></p><p>

The Ultimate Warrior © vs. "Macho King" Randy Savage w/Sensational Queen Sherri</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>One year has passed since The Ultimate Warrior overcame the Ultimate Challenge, but perhaps his biggest task remains ahead of him. The Macho King has been on a single-minded quest to regain the World Wrestling Federation Title, and will seemingly stop at nothing to get it. These two titans have clashed in recent weeks, tearing each other apart in order to gain an advantage in the coming title affair. One thing is for certain, history is going to be made at this match.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Steel Cage Match</strong></p><p>

Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. Rick "The Model" Martel</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The issue between these two men goes back for months, extending all the way back to when Martel "inadvertantly" blinded Jake with a spritz of his Arrogance perfume. The issue became even graver after Martel stole Jake's prized snake, Damien, and proceeded to make a new pair of wrestling boots out of him. Jake has become a man possessed, complete with a new snake he's dubbed Lucifer, and has sworn revenge on The Model, getting him locked inside a steel cage so that there will be no escape for Martel this time.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>WWF Intercontinental Championship Match</strong></p><p>

Mr. Perfect w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan © vs. Bret "The Hitman" Hart</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Since losing the tag team titles, Bret Hart has been on a massive winning streak, and now comes looking to capture singles gold for the first time. Mr. Perfect has been...well...Perfect...in defending his Intercontinental Championship since winning it back in November, but The Hitman certainly presents his toughest challenge to date. Hart and Perfect are arguably the two most talented wrestlers in the company, so this match promises to be a technical classic.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Special Challenge Match</strong></p><p>

"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase vs. Virgil</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Virgil, finally tired after years of abuse at the hands of his employer, struck out on his own recently. However he didn't appear to be cognizantly aware of the consequences, as DiBiase subsequently sued him for breach of contract. Acting through a mediator in the form of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Virgil and DiBiase agreed to this challenge match: if DiBiase wins than Virgil will return to his side, and likely never wrestle ever again. If Virgil wins, however, than DiBiase not only agrees to tear up Virgil's contract and release him, but DiBiase himself will be humiliated by becoming Virgil's "serveant" for one whole month.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>WWF Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p><p>

The Rockers © vs. Power and Glory w/Slick</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The Rockers are riding high in the tag team division of the World Wrestling Federation, especially ever since winning the belts back at the Royal Rumble. Standing in their way though is the tandem of Pretty Paul Roma and The Mighty Hercules, collectively known as Power and Glory, who after defeating Legion of Doom (through somewhat auspicious means) now have a shot to dethrone the champions.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs. Big Bossman w/Andre the Giant</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Upon his arrival in the WWF, The Undertaker has made it his mission to destroy everyone that's been put in front of him. This included the Eighth Wonder of the World, Andre the Giant. After the two eliminated each other in the Rumble match, a collision seemed inevitable, but years of competition on his body forced Andre to prematurely retire from wrestling. Taker responded by attacking the Giant. The Big Bossman, always one to stand for law and order, has agreed to step into the big man's shoes and face down the undefeated Deadman.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>The Legion of Doom vs. The Nasty Boys w/Jimmy Hart</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hawk and Animal seemed primed for a run to the tag team titles, until they were blindsided by the pair from Nastyville USA. The Nasties cost LOD a match with Power and Glory that would have given them a one way ticket to Wrestlemania...unfortunately for the Nasty Boys all that means is that LOD has set their sights on them instead, aiming for payback.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>The British Bulldog vs. Earthquake w/Jimmy Hart</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Earthquake entered the Royal Rumble match possibly as the odds-on favorite to win. Unfortunately for him though, he ran headlong into The British Bulldog, who upset the walking natural disaster and eliminated him from the match. Since then, Quake has made it his goal to squash Davey Boy in his place for his insolence, but the British Powerhouse may be a match for the 400-pounder.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>WWF Television Title Match</strong></p><p>

Razor Ramon vs. Tito Santana</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>For the first time ever, the WWF Television Title will be decided at Wrestlemania, and the two men competing for it couldn't be any more different. The brash and arrogant Bad Guy, Razor Ramon, has easily carved his way into the title tournament finals, while stalwart grappler Tito Santana is one step away from recapturing championship gold. It's going to be a fight to the finish between the young upstart and the wily veteran.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Capt. Abdullah w/General Adnan vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>In the course of his war on America, Sgt. Slaughter has brought in reinforcements in the form of Capt. Abdullah. The Butcher of Baghdad, as he is colloquially known, as run roughshod through the WWF, including a protracted problem with All American Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The two brawlers meet once more, in an effort to settle their differences.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Owen Hart & Shane Douglas vs. Haku & The Barbarian w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>In recent weeks, the combination of Owen Hart and Shane Douglas have proven to be a formidable tag team. However their toughest challenge as a unit comes in the form of Heenan Family members Haku and The Barbarian, who may be looking to send a message to Bret in the form of beating down his younger brother.</em></p>

A mistaken springboard attempt by Owen leads to the Family reestablishing dominance, as Haku and Barbarian use nerve holds to keep the younger Hart brother down for a significant period of time. The two men lock up in center ring, and Ramon quickly establishes dominance with his power. However the fiesty veteran Santana has a few tricks up his sleeve, hitting at the knees of Ramon and trying to keep him on edge. Ramon's power seems to be too much to overcome though, as he hits a huge fallaway slam followed by an atomic drop that weakens Santana. Ramon has several near falls before signaling that he will finish off Santana, but Tito fights out of the Razor's Edge and clocks him from behind with a flying forearm, which surprisingly earns only a two count. Tito rallies and goes back for the knee, trying to lock in the Figure-4 Leglock, but Ramon is able to get to the ropes. Bossman doesn't let up and keeps the offense up on the outside, but Undertaker manages to catch him off guard and through him hard into the ringpost to slow him down. Once back in the ring, the slow methodical attack of the Undertaker begins, as he hits several power moves to wear down the Bossman. Andre can only watch as Bossman slowly fades away, only to cheer as he rallies back from a nerve hold to put the Deadman back on the defensive. As the match proper gets underway, Michaels and Roma put on a technical display at center ring, which Michaels gets the better of. Roma though makes a hot tag to Hercules, who shuts down the high flying Michaels quickly. Power and Glory try to dismantle Shawn Michaels, who through resiliance manages to hold his own. At one point he tags in Jannetty, but Slick had distracted the referee preventing the tag from being legal. Michaels survives the 2-on-1 though, and again tags in his partner legally this time. Jannetty comes in a house of fire, but quickly the numbers game becomes too much. As Power and Glory set up for the Power-Plex, Michaels delivers a savate Kick to the back of Hercules' head, causing Roma to lose his grip on Jannetty and fall to the ground. As the match begins, Martel looks around, seemingly genuinely worried by his surroundings now that its hit home. He instantly tries to escape the cage, but Jake captures him and forces him into the ring, beating him from one side of the cage to the other for a couple of minutes. Martel manages to get the upper hand temporarily as he attacks Jake's still injured eye, and he proceeds to turn the tide of the match. After trying to escape again and failing, Martel seems to accept his fate and then goes to work trying to wear down Jake even more. Roberts rallies though after he is inadvertantly busted open by Martel, smiling at him with an evil glint in his eye. Martel backs away in fear, but Jake pursues him with single-minded determination, beating his face into the steel cage and grinding it down like it were hamburger. Much to Quake's surprise though, Bulldog begins to match him in power, throwing him off his game and utilizing his great mixture of speed and power to keep the behemoth on his toes. Quake can't seem to get the match under control until Jimmy Hart interjects himself, distracting The Bulldog long enough for Quake to catch him off guard. Earthquake then slows the match down, using his power to ground Bulldog and neutralize his speed advantage. Bulldog manages to counter the attempt at an Earthquake Splash though, and fights back, actually slamming the big man to the ground not once but twice. Earthquake rolls to the outside, but Bulldog follows to try and get him back into the ring. Jimmy Hart again distracts Bulldog, allowing Earthquake to bodycheck him into the ringpost and roll back into the ring. But Adnan snuck back in and distracted the referee, allowing Abdullah to throw sand into the eyes of Duggan to blind him and cause him to go barrelling into the turnbuckle chest first. Virgil responds with a slap to DiBiase's face. Even incensed though, it's clear that The Million Dollar Man doesn't take his former bodyguard seriously. Virgil though manages to get quite a bit of offense in the early going, before DiBiase turns it on and starts using his experience to his advantage. Throughout it all, Roddy Piper is on commentary, cheering Virgil on. DiBiase starts to dissect Virgil, methodically and stoically attacking him while verbally berating him in the process. Yet every time he tries to put Virgil away, DiBiase is frustrated by a two count. DiBiase says he's going to sinch in the Million Dollar Dream for the victory, but Virgil counters it with a backdrop before following up with a series of jabs that stun DiBiase. As Ted runs against the ropes, he suddenly finds himself in the Million Dollar Dream. As he begins to fade, he lunges out in desperation and "inadvertantly" squashes the referee in the corner. From the back quickly come DiBiase's hired goons in The Heavenly Bodies, who start to put the boots to Virgil, only for Piper to get up from commentary and charge in after them. He chases off the Bodies, but DiBiase uses the distraction to grab the Million Dollar Belt and clock Virgil in the head with it. As the referee comes too, the hand comes down for one...two...and to everyone's shock Virgil gets a shoulder up. DiBiase throws a tantrum on the mat and before long stands back to his feet. Piper suddenly comes back to ringside and tries to pull DiBiase's foot out from under him. Warrior though manages to counter some of Savage's more methodical offense with high impact moves designed to wear down the challenger. The match goes back and forth for several minutes, as both men pull everything out of their arsenals. The crowd falls silent when Warrior lifts Savage up in the air and delivers a Press Slam, but only gets a two count in response. Savage counters Warrior's stunned movement with a high knee, before following up with a slam and then delivering his signature top rope elbow, but that only gets a two. Eventually the match falls down to a slugfest between the two, with both men exhausted, simply hurling light blows against the other in a show of tiredness. Savage goes to the top one more time, but in a scene reminiscent from the year before, Warrior rolls out of the way in the nick of time, causing Savage to crash to the mat. Perfect manages to thwart Hart's every attempt to put him in the Sharpshooter, while Hart manages to keep Perfect from executing the Perfect-Plex. As the match draws to a close, Mr. Perfect finally senses victory, as he hooks the Hitman in the Perfect-Plex at last and executes the manuever, only to be shocked at the two count. Perfect slams the mat in frustration, before trying for the move again. Bret manages to counter the hold by tripping up Perfect, locking his legs and locking in the Sharpshooter at center ring. Hogan grabs a leather strap from ringside, whipping Slaughter like a government mule. Adnan manages to sneak back into the match though, and attacks Hogan from behind, while Abdullah slips Slaughter some of the sand from before. Hogan gets blinded by the sand, as Slaughter begins to go to work on the Hulkster's lower back. He grabs the leather belt and starts whipping Hogan, turnabout being fair play, before grabbing it and using it to choke the life out of Hogan. Hulk though will not surrender, as he fights back to his feet and then grabs the steel toed boot that General Adnan had introduced earlier in the match. Hogan drills Slaughter with the boot and then hits some moves of his own to Slaughter's lower back, only for Abdullah to interfere again. This time Hogan dispatches that Butcher of Baghdad, but Slaughter counters with a high knee to the back, followed by a solid chair shot to the face. He then locks Hogan in the Camel Clutch and the Hulkster, bleeding, slowly start to succumb in center ring. Before thr referee can count him out though, Hogan rallies his reserves and breaks out of the dreaded submission hold. He gets the adrenaline pumping and Hulks Up, hitting the Big Boot, dispatching Adnan for the final time and then hitting the big leg drop on Slaughter. The Barbarian d. Shane Douglas by Pinfall

The Barbarian gained a measure of revenge for Wrestlemania as he defeated the young Shane Douglas in a followup to their opening tag match. Douglas showed a good amount of offense against the veteran, but the big man proved to have too much on this day and finished off Douglas with a Spike Piledriver

We see a vignette of Virgil being dropped off at a luxury hotel. He gets out of the car and hands it to the valet, smiling to himself before snapping his fingers and walking off. Ted DiBiase, dressed in a cheap tuxedo shirt and pants, walks past the camera, carrying several bags into the hotel all on his own, a surly look on his face. We then see Virgil lounging by the pool outside, a bunch of lovely ladies at his side, as DiBiase begrudgingly fans him with a large palm frond. Virgil merely looks at DiBiase and then the camera, smiling, saying life is good.

Razor Ramon d. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart by pinfall to retain the WWF Television Title

Razor's first title defense didn't appear to go as smoothly as he would have liked, as The Anvil tried to match his former tag partner's success by winning gold on his own. Neidhart's power was difficult for the Bad Guy to overcome in the earlygoing, but Razor utilized some deceptively quick moves to take control of the match, and in the end finished off The Anvil with his finisher, The Razor's Edge.

Backstage The Macho King Randy Savage is standing by with Gene Okerlund. Conspicuous by her absence is the Sensation Queen Sherri. Savage says that the Warrior earned his respect at Wrestlemania, but if the Warrior thinks that he's done with the Macho MAN...he's got another think coming. He says that once he defeats Sgt. Slaughter here tonight, that he will move right back into contention for that WWF Title.

The British Bulldog & The Legion of Doom d. Earthquake, Dino Bravo & The Mountie

The longstanding issues between Earthquake and Davey Boy Smith don't appear to be over after Earthquake's less than exemplary win at Wrestlemania. This match turned out to be little more than a donnybrook battle, with the referee unable to maintain much in the way of order throughout the match. In the end, though, the Legion of Doom finished off Canada's Strongest Man by way of a Doomsday Device as Jimmy Hart's team was left licking their wounds.

The Rockers d. The Heavenly Bodies by pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team Titles

Jimmy Cornette's team tried to put up a decent fight against the red hot tag champs, but The Rockers appear to be on a roll that simply can't be stopped. The Bodies did manage to isolate Michaels for a short while, but a hot tag to Jannetty swung the match back in the favor of the champions, and Jannetty finished off Jimmy Del Ray with a cross body block afterwards.

After the match Cornette simply looks at the Bodies with a degree of disgust, especially at Jimmy del Ray, who simply shrugs his shoulders.

Macho Man Randy Savage d. Sgt. Slaughter by pinfall

Hulk Hogan had come out for guest commentary on the match, and that provided a small distraction for Savage to take advantage of. Slaughter turned the tide though, working over the back of Savage and trying to set him up for the Camel Clutch. Savage though managed to come back and, despite attempted interference from General Adnan, thwarted by Hogan, Savage hit the top rope elbow to score the pinfall and the victory.

After the match, Capt. Abdullah came from the crowd, attacking Hulk Hogan from behind and hooking in the Butcher's Spike. To everyone's surprise, Savage came to Hogan's aid and chased off the Captain, as at least for one night, the Mega Powers of old were on the same page.

"Sir" Steven Regal d. Bushwhacker Butch

The Undertaker d. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine

Jake "The Snake" Roberts d. Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka

(After the match, Roberts continued his recent trend of beating down his opponent just a bit more.)

- The anger with the Ultimate Warrior seems to be reaching a boiling point backstage, as he got into an altercation with longtime WWF hand Steve Lombardi. Warrior started the fracas and was chastened for his actions, but seemed to shrug the whole thing off. Where he goes from here remains to be seen, but the hope had been that a victory at Mania might cause Warrior to "grow up" as it were. That doesn't seem to have happened.

- On that note, WWF President Jack Tunney announced last week on All-American Wrestling that a rematch would take place at the International Incident PPV, which sees The Ultimate Warrior defending the WWF Title against Randy Savage, this time in a steel cage. In addition, Hulk Hogan and two partners of his choosing will face the entirety of the Iraqi Corps in a no-disqualification six-man tag match.

- Bobby Heenan is going to transition to a full-time role as a "broadcast journalist" and basically retire as a manager. He may still manage Mr. Perfect alone, but The Barbarian was seen this past weekend without Heenan.

- Some mid-level faces are likely to be signed in the near future, with the WWF scouring the lower levels of talent trying to find some new fresher faces.
