</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> An old-timey sports commentator filtered through a crackly speaker narrates: “The sport of professional wrestling requires skill, discipline and courage. It is an All-American pastime enjoyed by young and old.” We see WCW competitors charging, spearing, punching and kicking — Booker T, The Giant, Sean O’Haire, Chuck Palumbo and Raven are all spotlighted. A booming rock song with a driving beat and brass section accompaniment plays in the background, reminiscent of the NFL on Fox theme.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Chavo and Kidman start things off, with the latter dazing the former with crossbodies and headscissors. As Chavito bails to his corner, the Radicalz glare at their opponents warily and turn their backs to talk strategy — until all three are knocked from the apron by dropkicks from Kidman and Air Raid! The Radicalz decide to try and walk out and take the count-out, but their opponents are on them thick and fist and throw legal man Chavo back into the ring! Air Paris mows down Chavito with a succession of suplexes then heads up top for the diving leg-drop. Using the last of his fortitude, Chavo rolls out of the way and Paris lands hard on his tailbone! </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Chavo makes the tag to Malenko, who begins making the best of Paris’ weak-spot with knees to the lower back and a thunderous atomic drop. The crowd lend Paris their support, and he’s able to hit a desperation enzuiguri to Malenko and make the hot tag to Air Styles! Styles runs wild on Malenko before lifting him up for the Styles Clash… but Eddy Guerrero storms the ring and nails him with a perfect dropkick. Kidman springboards off the top rope to hit Guerrero with a missile dropkick in return, leaving Malenko and Styles alone. Styles tries to get Malenko in position for the Styles Clash one more time, but the veteran wriggles out and rolls him up, grabbing the tights as he steals the cheap win. Radicalz retain!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The Radicalz are in fine spirits as they hog the ring after the match and take microphones to gloat. “We’re the best, esse,” Eddy screams, “we’re the best cruiserweights, heavyweights, any weight, man! You set ‘em up, we knock ‘em down! It doesn’t matter if they be former champions like the Kidman, and it doesn’t matter if they’re little green babies like Air Raid! Aww, so cute!” Eddy laughs madly as the Radicalz point and mock Kidman and Air Raid, who are walking to the back. Suddenly Kidman holds his arms out to stop Paris and Styles, and they talk a little — before turning and rushing back to the ring! The cocky Radicalz flee in a hurry, leaving their belts in the ring… and Kidman and Air Raid grab them and raise them high. It’s clear this rivalry isn’t quite over yet.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> DDP & Kanyon are in the locker-room, making last minute preparations for tonight’s match. Page is heavily taping his right elbow, as Kanyon peers towards him: “Your elbow alright, man? I didn’t know it was hurt.” Page gives him a sly grin and shakes his head. “Don’t ever get old, Chris. Bits and pieces start falling off and breaking apart. But I’m good for tonight. Just gotta stay positive, bro.” Kanyon returns the grin, replying that “if you need any help out there, at least you have one hell of a tag partner. Who better than Kanyon?” Page finishes fixing his elbow-pad in place and pats Kanyon on the back. “You said it. Tonight, we start our road to redemption, our climb to the top. BANG!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Stacy Keibler is at ringside. The Dynasty are drawn like sharks to blood to DDP’s taped and reinforced elbow, as Orton works on it early with arm-wringers. Yet Page shows uncanny quickness and counters a hammerlock with his own, before hitting a backbreaker then coming off the top with an elbow-drop, taped elbow first — and shows no pain! “Page’s veteran wiles have flatfooted the Dynasty, that taped elbow looks like a red herring to me! A feint,” Mike Tenay exclaims on commentary. “I didn’t know DDP had it in him,” Bobby Heenan snorts. “I heard his last clever thought died of loneliness.” Page tags in Kanyon and the two hit Orton with a back-drop/neckbreaker combination, before Kanyon starts flooring Orton with clotheslines and a swinging fisherman suplex. “The match may be three on two,” Tenay notes, “but by keeping Randy Orton from his partners, the tables have turned and it may as well be two on one.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Kanyon primes Orton for a Flatliner, but this time Stasiak and Flair have had enough, and they rush the ring to break it up. DDP joins the fracas, and by the time Charles Robinson gets everyone in their respective corners, Orton has crawled to his and now tags in David Flair. Flair hits Kanyon with a succession of hip-tosses and a scoop slam, before trying for his father’s own Figure Four Leglock! Kanyon instead powers out with incredible leg strength, sending Flair barreling backwards and knocking his own partners from the apron! With Stasiak and Orton on the floor, Flair turns around into a Flatliner and eats the pin! DDP & Kanyon are back to winning ways, as they hug in the middle of the ring. Flair, who appears to be limping, is helped to the back by Orton and Stasiak.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Raven is slumped backstage in a darkened corridor, humming to himself before breaking out into a throaty, gravelly song. Some might recognise it as a 60s rock song by the Kinks. “My makeup is dry and it lags on my chin,” Raven drawls as he drags his fingers down his own painted face. “I’m drowning my sorrows in whisky and giiiiiin. The lion tamer’s whip doesn’t crack anymore,” he adds with a dramatic frown, “the lions won’t fight and the tigers won’t rooooar.” He stands to his feet with arms outstretched as he sings “la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la… so let’s all drink to the death of a clown!” He glares at the camera, before muttering “that one is dedicated to my very good friend, Norman Smiley. Quote the Raven nevermore.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> A cocky Raven tries to outmuscle Smiley in the early going with tests of strength, but his opponent is surprisingly resilient and soon catches Raven in a headlock, before whipping him into the ropes and dancing the Big Wiggle! Raven responds with a hard shot to the skull, and from that point he’s determined to lay in as much punishment on Smiley as possible. Driving his elbow over and over again into Smiley’s skull, blood soon begins to trickle from the underdog’s forehead. Smiley begs off before wiping his face and staring aghast at his blood-covered hands, screaming.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Something snaps, and Smiley begins laying into Raven with huge forearms, stiff suplexes and a twisting scoop slam! Smiley locks in the crossface chickenwing, and the crowd go electric as Raven begins to go limp in the hold! Raven twitches and struggles, managing to roll onto his belly with Smiley still holding on for dear life… and thrusts his leg backwards and right into Smiley’s groin! The referee didn’t see all of it, and cautions Raven not to try that again, as Smiley breaks the hold and rolls back and forth in agony. Raven lifts him up and hits an Evenflow DDT! He then sneers, hauls Smiley to his feet once more and hits a second for good measure! He covers Smiley to retain.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I feel rough,” Booker replies. “I’ve only been cleared two weeks, and I’ve taken some -giant- ass-whoopings the last few months. But if Saturn thinks he can pick the bones and make a name at Booker T’s expense, he’s got another thing coming. It don’t matter if I’m 100 percent, 90 percent, 50 percent, 10 percent… I’m going to go out there and I’m going to lay it all on the line and do what I do best, and that’s putting suckas down. Saturn yanks Booker out of the ropes and tries for the Moss-Covered Three-Handled Family Gradunza, but Booker lands on his feet miraculously and begins his comeback! Saturn is rocked with a Heatseeker missile dropkick from the top and the Book End, before staggering up long enough to get planted face-first into the mat with an Axe Kick! LeRoux tags in and continues the beatdown on Storm, but the wily Canadian squirms out of a headlock and begins wrenching LeRoux hard in his own submissions. Storm tags in to Awesome, who begins manhandling LeRoux — he throws him outside the ring then sends him hard into the steel-steps, catching them knee-first! Morrus is quick to assist his partner, and gets in Awesome’s face before brawling with him, but the damage is seemingly done. Awesome hits LeRoux with some leg-breakers in the ring before tagging out to Storm, who locks in the Canadian Maple Leaf and forces a shrieking LeRoux to submit.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> We cut to a split screen of Sean O’Haire and Chuck Palumbo making their final preparations for their upcoming bout. O’Haire is pacing back and forth restlessly, getting himself riled up. Palumbo is draped on a chaise-langue with Torrie hand-feeding him grapes, as he talks on a cellphone. “…And you should see his sideburns. Glorious ashen caterpillars reaching wide across his face, straddling his rosy cheeks like a cherub in his mother’s arms. But yes, I have to go. I have to take care of some unpleasant business. Goodbye, Billy.” He ends the call and sprawls his arms out wide, before rising lazily to his feet. “It’s showtime, Torrie. Bring me my bathrobe, I must look beautiful, just beautiful.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Chucky enters first with Torrie Wilson, and as Sean O’Haire’s music hits, the Widow Maker comes sprinting right into the ring with fists flying, as the bell rings! O’Haire nails Palumbo hard with shot after shot, reopening the cut under his eye from two weeks ago as Torrie wails miserably. O’Haire backs Palumbo into the corner to continue the onslaught, and gets a thumb to the eye for his troubles, staggering back. Palumbo rolls out of the ring, blood streaking his face, as he grabs his bathrobe and begins heading to the back. O’Haire rushes out to catch him, throwing him back into the ring and continuing the punishment! Palumbo gets nailed with a superkick and as O’Haire climbs up top for the Seanton Bomb, Torrie shrieks and rolls into the ring, laying on top of Chuck! “No, not my Chucky! No!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

O’Haire looks down on Torrie and Chuck, weighing his options as the crowd cheer him, clearly eager to see him crush Torrie. Instead he relents, climbing down as Torrie drags Chucky out of the ring and tries to help him escape to the back again. O’Haire follows once again, pushing Torrie firmly to one side — but Palumbo has recovered and strikes hard with a shot to the gut! The two slug it out on the entrance ramp as the referee counts to ten, neither seeming to notice.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He shakes his head, then turns to face the camera. “The WCW fans want a clear winner in this rivalry, they want this grudge settled once and for all. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The match seems a few steps below the last month’s effort, as the cage seemingly constricts their high-flying offence rather than enhancing it. Liger sends Daniels reeling into the steel with hard Irish whips, before grinding his face against it and causing blood to gush from his forehead. “What’s with all the blood tonight, Tony?” Heenan exclaims as he gets a glimpse of Daniels’ crimson mask. “I’m Mike Tenay, that other guy doesn’t work here anymore,” Tenay grumbles in response. “Sorry, force of habit,” Heenan responds jokingly. Daniels reverses another whip into the cage, and this time Liger goes thrumming into the steel! From that point, it’s all Daniels, as Liger clutches his head and neck and looks shellshocked. Daniels hits the Last Rites and the Angel’s Wings before climbing halfway up the cage and hitting a spectacular moonsault onto Liger for a dominant victory.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> A bloodied Daniels is slumped against the cage as the referee places the WCW Cruiserweight Championship in his arms, and Liger is sprawled across the canvas not moving. The crowd begin booing as James Mitchell makes his return, rushing down to ringside with the leather-bound grimoire we saw last week. He demands the referee unlock the cage door, and begins imploring Daniels to “make a sacrifice! You have spilled blood, but the Necronomicon still hungers! It hungers for… him!” Mitchell points menacingly at the fallen Liger, and Daniels hauls to his feet and lifts Liger up in a tombstone position. We get a close-up of Daniels’ bloodstained face as he closes his eyes and inhales, then hits a sit-out tombstone piledriver to Liger, whose neck seems to almost snap sideways!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Daniels kneels over Liger with an expression almost showing remorse as Mitchell grins maniacally and strokes the grimoire, whispering “yes, yes. And he is only the first. Always thirsty for blood, always hungry for souls. And you have been chosen, my son. You are the chosen one.” EMTs pour out to ringside as they begin setting up a stretcher, and Mike Tenay wonders if that’s the last we’ll see of Jushin Thunder Liger in WCW. “In WCW?!” Heenan exclaims. “How about anywhere? Did I hear that right, did that book just eat his soul? That’s gotta be illegal… I hope.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

A whole host of burly men follow behind, as Mike Tenay identifies them as the Super Bowl XXXVI champions, the New England Patriots! “It was what we call a Cinderella story, a truly remarkable journey for the Patriots, who clinched their first ever Super Bowl win earlier this month.” Flair and the Patriots roll into the ring and the hometown crowd erupt in cheers. Flair slaps hands with each man, with Tenay specifically pointing out quarterback Tom Brady, the Super Bowl MVP. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Giant toys with Flair early on, shoving him to the mat and pushing him away — but Flair is firing on all cylinders and comes right back, turning the Giant’s chest beetroot red with a succession of chops! Giant staggers back but then lunges forward, responding with his own open-palmed strikes. The shots only seem to drive Flair crazier, as he fires back with chops and punches! Giant whips Flair into the turnbuckle, but he somehow flips over and lands on the apron, before clambering up to the top for God knows what. Giant grabs him and throws him from the turnbuckle, of course — yet Flair pops right back up with arms swinging… before flopping face-first to the mat.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Giant wears down Flair with a series of huge scoop slams, before hitting the ropes and crushing him with a huge splash! Flair just forces his elbow up at two, and the crowd is going nuts as Flair shakes back and forth in a mixture of pain and sheer adrenaline. Naitch manages to leap on Giant’s back and brings the big man to his knees then the ground with a sleeper hold. From that point, Flair presses his advantage with rolling knee-drops and lifts Giant’s massive leg up to try for the Figure Four. It’s a little awkward, but Flair finally sinks it in and Giant screams with pain before pulling himself powerfully across the ring to grab the ropes. Giant climbs to his feet, as Flair tries to keep him down with chop-blocks, but it’s not enough and Giant begins throwing the Nature Boy hard across the ring!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Giant finally wraps his hand around Flair’s throat and tries for the chokeslam, but his face lights up with pain as Flair’s hand goes between his tree-trunk legs and applies… THE TESTICULAR CLAW! The referee gives Flair a five-count to break, but he makes the most of every second as Giant writhes in pain on the mat. Flair tries for the Figure Four again, but gets a hand around the throat for his troubles. An enraged Giant hauls himself to his feet, bringing Flair with him and lifting him high in the air before slamming him hard with a hellacious chokeslam! Giant hooks the legs and pins Flair with all his weight, and the Nature Boy doesn’t kick out.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He rolls to the outside and begins to trash-talk the Patriots in their first-row seats, snarling “you want some of this, you want some of this, huh?” Giant marches to the back, victorious but in no better a mood, as Flair begins to revive and is helped to his feet by the referee. The crowd give the Nature Boy a standing ovation for his excellent performance tonight, and Flair waves back humbly with a smile on his face, before tears start to stream out of his eyes. <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Feedback:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Going to take a few days before throwing up the next Saturday Night card, I'm on sleeping tablets right now and they're kicking my butt.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks for your words of support, Lloyd! I greatly admire the work you've done in your own diaries.</p><p> </p><p>

To the rest of you, thank you for your feedback from last month, including match and angle description length, additional videos and other such things. On the subject of matches and angles, I am going to try and keep the matches a little shorter -- though I accidentally wrote my longest recap yet for SuperBrawl, I felt it was important to be thorough whenever a match was trying to tell a certain story. As for angles, I'm happy with their length as is, and feel a bit more confident telling stories out of the ring. When I started, they were more the awkward bits that served as filler between matches, but now I feel like they're my primary tool in terms of building certain characters and putting across ideas and stories.</p><p> </p><p>

Keep the feedback coming and take care!</p>

Going a little more "all in" for an event's report is just fine. But TV shows should be a little easier for both the writer and reader to breeze through. At least that's been my opinion.

Good job with SuperBrawl! I'm a little surprised to see no title changes, but at the same time not because most of the champions are either new titleholders or are just having some solid runs with their titles. I anticipate the day that Raven eventually runs afoul of Mitchell's family, having two weird entities either unite or fight. The pre-match segment with Chucky made me simultaneously laugh and cringe.

Excited to see what March and Uncensored bring!

<p>Who knew The Giant and Flair could put on such a main event! Looks like everything's really clicking for the new WCW, it's definitely one i would've liked to watch. I wonder what's next for Flair and if it has anything to do with The Dynasty.</p><p> </p><p>

Chuck on the phone to someone named Billy? I lol'd, happy you've rolled with him and O'Haire btw as they clearly had a future in WCW had it survived. Particularly O'Haire. </p><p> </p><p>

Enjoying the extra shine Smiley has gotten for his work since the start and am curious as to who this new Mitchell Family member is. How long could this show be kept out of primetime! lol, great write ups as always man.</p>

Had an idea for an alternate save/diary I could do once the Mod Squad have their 2001 mod out. Would anyone like to read Vince McMahon's WWF 2001?

No Invasion, no brand-split, just continuing to play the strong hand the WWF were dealt following Mania X7. It'd run parallel to the beginning of this diary and be fully canon compliant, so the likes of the Radicalz and Big Show would be gone, and I couldn't use Christopher Daniels, Steve Corino or any of the others WCW have been using in recent months.

Wowza, I did not expect Flair and Giant to put on a 95 match. Insane. Great show, btw!

Believe me, I was surprised as anyone else -- especially after Booker/Giant hadn't been the rip-roaring success I was expecting. But Flair is the man, his stats rock, and I got really lucky with his destiny roll, as he has zero time decline at present. DDP, Dean Malenko, Bryan Clark and Dave Taylor were less fortunate.

Card for the next WCW Saturday Night should be up in a day or two, just taking it easy right now.

<p>I would love to see your take on a Vince McMahon's WWF 2001 Diary. You've done such an exceptional job booking this 'new' WCW that I'd love to see your ideas for the WWF at the time, especially with regards to a heel Austin and if you'd still form the Two Man Power Trip.</p><p> </p><p>

You're also great at establishing new characters and propelling young ones and there's a plethora of that to do in the WWF at the time, IMO.</p>

<p>Thanks for the feedback on a 2001 WWF diary! No promises, but we'll see. And now it's time to get back to where the big boys play!</p><p> </p><p> <div style="background-color:#D3D3D3;color:black;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";"></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>News and Notes: Week 1, March 2002:</strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><ul><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> David Flair sustained an ankle injury during the handicap match at SuperBrawl, and is expected out for five months. Shawn Stasiak and Randy Orton are expected to continue the Dynasty gimmick alongside Stacy Keibler. Flair had improved markedly in the ring in recent months, but was still at best a distant third behind the solid if unremarkable Stasiak and promising Orton.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Jushin Thunder Liger’s stint with WCW has ended, the veteran Japanese junior heavyweight being written out with an injury angle at SuperBrawl. His steel cage match with Christopher Daniels fell short of expectations, and he’s said to be annoyed with his booking in recent months. As a freelance competitor who returns to his home base at New Japan Pro Wrestling, WCW were unlikely to build around him, though they could perhaps have better maintained his aura for future short-term runs.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ric Flair wowed management with his performance against The Giant at SuperBrawl. Despite just turning 53, Flair worked like a man half his age, with his veteran instincts and psychology more than making up for Giant’s limitations. His program with Giant is due to be extended another month, as management hope to squeeze another PPV classic out of the match-up.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Speaking of rematches, the Falls Count Anywhere bout between Sean O’Haire and Chuck Palumbo booked for WCW Uncensored late this month is being touted as a blow-off match. Palumbo won the first match at Revenge in shady circumstances, and their SuperBrawl match ended in double count-out, so it seems quite likely that the Uncensored bout will have a climactic clean finish.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Brock Lesnar is being brought in as a developmental tryout at this week’s Worldwide tapings. Brock still has some backstage heat on him for injuring Chavo Guerrero Jr. back in July, when Chavo was earmarked to be brought in as the Radicalz’ ‘inside man’ letting them into the building each week. Nonetheless, Lesnar has unparalleled presence and freakish strength, and it seems only a matter of time until he debuts in either WCW or WWF.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Other OVW talents getting a tryout in dark-matches this week are the team of Christian York and Joey Matthews, who saw action in ECW’s latter days, and Shark Boy, a Cruiserweight with a cult fan following who had a six-month stint on WCW B-shows during late 1999 and early 2000.</div><br /></li></ul><p></div></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41628" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>WCW Saturday Night - Week 1, March 2002</strong><p> </p><p> The Giant & The Radicalz (Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn & Chavo Guerrero Jr.) vs Billy Kidman, Air Raid (Air Paris & Air Styles) & Alex Wright</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Raven vs Steve Corino</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Mike Sanders vs Norman Smiley</p><p> Comments: </p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW Television Championship</strong></p><p> La Parka © vs The Real D’Lo</p><p> Comments:</p></div></blockquote>

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ric Flair is out first in a slick suit, and though walking a little gingerly to the ring, his spirits don’t seem dampened by his SuperBrawl loss. “Giant, I just want to let you know,” he states effusively, “you may have one bad attitude and no respect, but nobody can take away your accomplishments or diminish your talent. On Sunday, you -were- the better man. These people all know that for years I’ve said… to be the man, you’ve got to beat the man. At SuperBrawl, you proved that you are the man… on that night.” Flair grins lustily, licking his chops as he shouts: “Giant! When I fought you, I felt twenty years younger! You brought the best out of me, and you had to unleash the -worst- of you to keep me down.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“In four weeks at Uncensored, let’s dance one more time! The Giant and the Nature Boy for the WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World. Any match you want, you got it. I don’t care if it’s a no disqualification match, woooo! A no count-outs match, woooo! A lumberjack match, woooo! A steel cage match, woooo! A stretcher match, woooo! A boxing match, woooo! An arm-wrestling match, woooo! A bra and freakin’ panties match, WOOOO! Anyway you want it, Giant, that’s the way I need it! What do you say?!” Flair is bright red in the face and sweating profusely, as he struts back and forth, but the Giant is nowhere to be seen. Flair laughs and shouts: “I’ll have my answer by the end of tonight! And let me warn you, the Nature Boy doesn’t take no for an answer!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Abismo and Psychosis are in La Parka’s corner, causing mischief and taunting D’Lo by shaking their heads back and forth. D’Lo has Parka on the run and nails him with with dropkicks and the Sky High, before climbing up top and signalling for the Lo Down. Abismo leaps to the apron to distract the referee, while Psychosis pushes D’Lo from the top! Parka recovers and lifts him up, before hitting the Skull Bomb to retain again. “It’s like three on one out there,” Mike Tenay complains on commentary, “D’Lo had his number, but he didn’t have eyes in the back of his head.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Norman Smiley is backstage doing squat-thrusts when Mark Jindrak and Mike Sanders come sauntering over. “Look here, Big Mark,” Sanders snarks, “if it isn't the biggest loser in WCW. He loses and he loses and he loses… and he ends up on the SuperBrawl card while we’re not even scheduled. And he loses that match too.” Sanders gives Smiley a shove, and he falls back against Jindrak before beginning to shake nervously. “Is that all you do? Scream and shriek and shake… and lose?” Smiley gulps and squeaks out a reply: “I… you’re just a bully. And I’m going to shut you up. In the ring. Tonight.” Sanders and Jindrak can’t help but laugh uproariously, Sanders removing his shades to brush away a tear. “You’re so funny, Norman,” Sanders snorts. “Let’s see how funny it is when I send you to the hospital.” Sanders and Jindrak stride off arrogantly, leaving Smiley to nervously tug at his scalp.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He stomps Smiley into the canvas before applying a punishing chokehold. The crowd begin chanting Smiley’s name and just like at SuperBrawl, something snaps and he’s whipped into a frenzy! Smiley dazes Sanders with furious jabs and forearms, then begins tossing him around with snap suplexes! Smiley hoists Sanders up for an airplane spin, and as he lets a dizzy Sanders back down to his feet, hooks the Crossface Chickenwing and gets the submission win!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jindrak hits a succession of slams as Sanders stumbles to his feet and begins screaming that Smiley is still a loser. The two continue beating Smiley down until the crowd erupt as Booker T comes sprinting down to ringside! He clears the ring, with Double Trouble beating a hasty retreat. Booker helps Smiley to his feet, then raises his hand proudly as the audience applaud.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> James Mitchell wanders down to ringside clutching the leather-bound grimoire in his arms, with Daniels, Crowbar, Kid Vicious, Daffney and the Sindicate in tow. “This terrible tome is the Necronomicon, the Book of the Dead,” Mitchell proclaims as he strokes its bloodstained cover fondly. “Few know of it, even fewer believe it anything more than a myth or a fiction… and yet I found it, I studied its forbidden knowledge, and it is has shown me the path my Family must now walk.” He turns to those gathered around him, before placing a hand on Christopher Daniels’ shoulder. “The Necronomicon told me what I already suspected. The Fallen Angel -is- the chosen one, cast down from paradise and bound in earthly chains until the Day of Recko—“</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Mitchell’s sermon is interrupted by none other than the Jung Dragons, who come rushing down to the ring ready to battle! “Good friends of Jushin Thunder Liger,” Tenay exclaims, “and we all saw what Daniels did to him at SuperBrawl!” The Sinister Minister and Daffney roll from the ring, leaving the Dragons to clear house on the rest of the Family, including Daniels! Mitchell calls his flock to him on the entrance ramp, and as they begin to regroup he flashes a demonic grin at the Japanese stars. “There is much I know, my friends, and yet so much more is uncertain. For revelation requires sacrifice. The Necronomicon hungers for blood and bone. The spirit of the Liger was first, but the Book of the Dead will soon feast on dragons.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Raven is in his usual bad mood. He grapples Corino up against the ropes then slaps him in the face for good measure. They lock up again, but this time Corino takes him down to the canvas and begins wearing Raven out with knees to the lower-back. “Steve Corino has been adrift since Crowbar cost him the Television Championship,” Tenay notes on commentary, “but a win against Raven would almost certainly propel him into United States Championship contention.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Corino hits a neckbreaker and a reverse Russian legsweep, but Raven kicks out at two and rolls to the outside to buy some time. Corino gives chase but it’s a ruse, and Raven sends him barreling hard into the guard-rail! Back inside, Raven begins peppering the King of Old School with sloppy strikes before signalling for the Evenflow DDT. Corino counters into an inside-cradle, and though Raven squirms frantically, his shoulders are pinned down for three!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Raven sits there in shock, his eyes bulging and his mouth agape, before shaking his head back and forth in denial. He rises up and tries to catch Corino with a hard lariat, but Corino ducks and instead tosses Raven from the ring! The crowd’s jeering and laughter finally get to the United States Champion as he lays sprawled outside, and he begins to pitch a fit! Raven pounds the ground with his fists and yells in frustration, as Tenay calls him a “big baby having a tantrum” on commentary. “He’s not a baby, he’s a Champion,” Heenan retorts, “and he just lost to some ham and egger. I’d be upset too!” Tenay sounds appalled, as he begins reeling off Corino’s accomplishments in ECW and WCW, but Heenan won’t concede defeat.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Team Canada are in the ring. “If I can be serious for a moment,” Lance Storm drones, “at SuperBrawl we successfully defended our Canadian Tag Team Championships against those American imbeciles — Misfits In Action, more like Misfits Inaction.” Storm peers around as he waits for the crowd to erupt in laughter, then frowns as they simply boo and heckle him. “We are fair champions, we are fierce champions. Therefore, we are announcing an open challenge for the Canadian Tag Team Championships at Uncensored — should any team think they can take on Canada’s finest.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

BANG! DDP’s music hits as he and Kanyon come striding down to ringside. “Yo, you said open challenge?” Page asks. “Me and Chris be the baddest team on the planet, and we just happened to have our eyes on those tag straps. So let’s—“ Stacy Keibler’s shrieking voice interrupts, squealing as she comes out on stage with Shawn Stasiak and Randy Orton. “No, no, no-no-no, NO! At SuperBrawl, you two shamelessly exploited David Flair’s broken ankle! The match should have been stopped, ruled a no-contest. You don’t deserve a shot at the championships, you’re not genetically superior. That opportunity is ours.” Stacy nearly leaps out of her skin as a loud “ATTEN… TION!” echoes from behind her. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Hugh Morrus and Lash LeRoux are out with megaphones, and Hugh Morrus states that “I do solemnly swear that the Misfits In Action are -not- done until we liberate the Tag Team Championships and rip those tacky maple-leaf speakers off — so help me God!” A furious Stacy turns to Morrus and tries to slap him, but he catches her hand — until the Dynasty blind-side him! DDP and Kanyon go running up the ramp to join the fray, as things turn into a six-way melee. Awesome whispers something into Storm’s ear, and for once he begins smiling from ear to ear. “My comrade just made an excellent suggestion,” Storm notes as the three teams on the stage continue brawling. “Divide and conquer. At Uncensored, we will defend our titles in a four-corners match against each and every one of you. I am confident in our abilities, so may the best team win.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Backstage, a set has been mocked up to resemble a spa, with marble-effect walls, panelled glass, mirrors and a bubbling jacuzzi in the corner. Chuck Palumbo and Torrie Wilson lounge on a plush leather sofa, as they share a glass of white wine. Palumbo turns to face the camera and flashes a bright white smile. “Welcome to Chucky’s Boutique, WCW’s newest and most beautiful talk-show. The set is beautiful, the decorations are beautiful, and the host… mmm.” He begins caressing himself through his bathrobe, rubbing his pectorals as Torrie beams proudly at him.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Tonight, on the debut edition of the Boutique, my guest is a bonafide superstar and style icon,” Palumbo notes drily. “Who is it, Chucky? Who is it?” Torrie pleads with clasped hands. “It’s me, of course,” Chuck grins in response, brushing the nape of her neck with the back of his hand. “And I have some very hard-hitting questions to ask myself.” He rises from the sofa and walks over to a mirror, gazing adoringly at his reflection. “My first question: who does your hair? It’s simply gorgeous,” he asks of the reflection, before answering. “Oh, I know a man who knows a man, who put me in touch with my personal stylist… Rico Constantino. He does everything for me, makes all the appointments, takes all the hassle and stress out of it.” He nods attentively to his reflection. “Fascinating, fascinating. I’d love to meet this Rico.” Chuck tuts in response: “He’s a very busy man, but perhaps I’ll fly him in from Las Vegas. He loves Vegas, the heat does wonders for his complexion, and the nightlife, mmm.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Chuck continues rambling on to himself in the mirror as Torrie closes her eyes peacefully. The boutique’s teak door slowly opens as Sean O’Haire peers around covertly, then rushes and pouches on Chuck, who is too absorbed in his reflection! Torrie opens her eyes and begins shrieking as O’Haire whips Palumbo into the marble-effect walls, then tosses him headfirst in the jacuzzi! Chucky splashes around wildly until O’Haire extracts him, plants him with the Widowmaker on the polished floor, and hooks his leg and counts his own pin! O’Haire grins, snorting: “Falls Count -Anywhere- at Uncensored. I hope you’re ready… I am.” He leaves Torrie to wail over her man in the wreckage of their own Boutique.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Eddy Guerrero is on commentary, lazing as he puts his feet up on the announcers’ desk: “Don’t mind me, esse. We drew straws, I got the night off.” Kidman and Malenko trade holds and slams in the early stretches, before Malenko is able to properly ground him and begin wearing Kidman down with punishing submissions. Kidman tries to scramble to his partners, but Malenko pulls him back to the Radicalz’ corner, as he, Chavo and Saturn tag in and out, each dealing their own damage to the cruiserweight. Kidman catches Chavo with an enzuiguri and manages to make the hot tag to Wright, but Chavo crawls to his own corner and Giant tags in!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Eddy just laughs on commentary, moving his legs so he can instead sit forward curiously: “This is going to be good, man.” Giant mows over Wright like a freight train with a huge shoulder-charge, then press-slams Kidman to the outside. Styles comes off the top with a springboard forearm, but Giant catches him in a bear hug and squeezes the life out of him! Paris thinks better of it and instead tends to Styles, as Giant turns his attention back to Wright and nails a furious chokeslam for the win! Eddy shrugs arrogantly, saying: “This is what happens when you put boys against men. Not even close, holmes.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The Radicalz begin putting the boots to Air Raid and Kidman as Giant tosses Wright to the floor. Kidman and Air Raid rally, and the seven men begin brawling through the crowd and out of sight, as the fight spills into the backstage area! Giant is left alone in the ring, but not for long — Also Sprach Zarathrusa plays and Ric Flair comes strutting out on stage, microphone in hand. “I told you I’d have my answer by the end of tonight, Giant! What’ll it be, woooo?” Giant calmly glares at him from the ring, then grabs a microphone for himself. “I can barely hear you all the way over there, old man. How about you challenge me to my face, huh?”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Flair obliges, striding down the ramp and rolling into the ramp, before getting right in Giant’s face. “Listen closely, brother… I want a match! Another match! Any match! Any match you like! Giant! Flair! WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World! Uncensored! 2002! Woooo!” Giant responds by socking Flair hard in the face, as the Nature Boy collapses backwards in a heap. Giant begins tearing the suit off Flair, before pulling his leather belt off and measuring it in his hands with a diabolical grin. He begins to whip Flair with the belt, the leather making a wet slapping sound as it connects with skin! Flair flails in pain as the Giant grabs the microphone: “You like the taste of leather? You like that? You’ll get your match! It’s going to be a leather strap match! They’re going to bind us together with leather, and I’m going to bring that strap down on your sorry ass and whoop you within an inch of your life!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

I started with 10 million, and as of March 2002, I was at 14.6 million after turning a slight profit for most months. Things are probably helped with the profit-sharing alliance I have with WWF, reflecting the fact that the two companies would be under the same umbrella.</p><p> </p><p> Popularity rose steadily from 75 to 81 over the same period. We’re now hearing that Brian Adams’ month off was due to his own morale issues in recent weeks, and that Adams has requested a release from his WCW contract. The idea at present seems to be basing the enterprise in Nashville and building around son Jeff Jarrett, who has been persona non grata in both WWF and WCW due to an incident surrounding him demanding a pay-off in return for losing the WWF Intercontinental Championship in 1999, following his WWF contract expiring the day prior. It seems possible that other blackballed talents such as Buff Bagwell and the recently-released The Wall, and the likes of Randy Savage, Shane Douglas, Rick Steiner and Lex Luger could be hypothetically involved. WWF negotiations have broken down completely with Hulk Hogan, but it seems impossible that Jarrett could pay more than the Federation to bring him on board.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Hurricane Helms has returned from a stint in rehab, and is due to begin on the road imminently.</div><br /></li></ul><p></div></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41628" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong>WCW Saturday Night - Week 2, March 2002</strong><p> </p><p> Billy Kidman vs Eddy Guerrero</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Chuck Palumbo & Rico Constantino vs The Megabucks (Kash & EZ Money)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Christopher Daniels & The Sindicate (Johnny the Bull & Reno) vs Jung Dragons (Kaz Hayashi, Yang & Yoshihiro Tajiri)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon & Misfits In Action (Hugh Morrus & Lash LeRoux) vs Team Canada (Lance Storm & Mike Awesome) & The Dynasty (Shawn Stasiak & Randy Orton)</p><p> Comments:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WCW Television Championship</strong></p><p> La Parka © vs Hurricane Helms</p><p> Comments:</p></div></blockquote>

<p>Well, this is annoying. A third-party replacement laptop charger I bought has shorted out after three months, so I'm without use of a laptop until I'm able to find if I can get a replacement or refund. As such, the diary will be on hold for a few extra days while I get this sorted out.</p><p> </p><p>

Apologies for the inconvenience.</p>

The crowd give Hurricane a strong reception in his first match back since late 2001, as he staggers Parka with comically huge haymakers and a wind-up punch. Parka remains a step behind Helms most of the match, until Psychosis distracts the referee and Abismo slides in with the Television Championship belt! He swings the title at Helms, who ducks — and blasts La Parka, who was creeping behind him! Abismo is in shock, and Hurricane dispatches him with a dropkick before covering Parka for the win!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Parka is still out for the count as Psychosis and Abismo hit the ring. Hurricane once again catches Abismo with a dropkick before delivering a surprisingly forceful chokeslam to Psychosis! “Can you say ‘super strength’, Brain?” Tenay jokes on commentary. “‘Super strength,’” Heenan replies, “there, I said it.” Los Rudos regroup on the entryway and limp to the back, a dazed Parka screaming at his partners in Spanish.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> When we return from commercial break, the ring has been set up for Raven’s Nest. Its host lazes on a folding chair as he explains that his guest this week is Steve Corino, the man who beat him last week. Corino makes his way down to the ring and stares a hole in Raven, who begins to babble — but Corino cuts him off right away. “I’m not here to listen to your little sermon, your literary references, your delusions of grandeur. I’m here to make a statement, because we have some unfinished business. Last week, I beat you, and I’m going to it again at Uncensored — and that United States Championship is on the line.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Raven smirks smarmily in response, eyeing Corino up and down with clear disdain. “If you want a match, at least have the decency to say please when you ask. Manners, Steven. If I decide to agree to your request—“ Corino holds a hand up and cuts Raven off, stating point-blank: “I’m not asking you, I’m telling you. I’ve been to Arn Anderson, he’s made the match. Talk is cheap, I’ll let my actions in the ring speak for themselves. See you at Uncensored.” He turns and strides out without a further word, leaving Raven speechless for once — he just watches Corino walk up the ramp with narrowed eyes.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Storm and LeRoux do some early chain-wrestling, but the Canadian grappler quickly gets the upper-hand. LeRoux eventually breaks free of a chin-lock to make the hot tag — to his partner Hugh Morrus, leaving Page and Kanyon a little disappointed. Morrus runs wild briefly before getting rocked with a huge Mike Awesome clothesline, before he is flattened with a monstrous Awesome Bomb! Awesome gets the pin, leaving DDP and Kanyon flabbergasted on the apron. “Just like at Uncensored, you have to be in it to win it,” Mike Tenay explains. “You can lose this one standing on the apron, you must be legal to make a pinfall.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Stacy looks perplexed at the frowning Stasiak and Orton, exclaiming that “you -won- this one, guys.” Orton shakes his head, snorting: “They wouldn’t tag us in, what kind of teamwork is that?” Dynasty and Team Canada get into a shoving contest, before Page and Kanyon hit the ring and catch both teams off guard! Orton and Awesome are tossed outside, and Page hits a Diamond Cutter on Stasiak, as Storm gets nailed with the Flatliner! “Another lesson for Uncensored,” Tenay adds. “There’ll be four teams out there, you need eyes in the back of your head.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Daniels starts things off with Hayashi, who out-wrestles him and traps him in a hammerlock. Daniels eventually squirms loose, but he’s in a bad mood and decides to tag out to Reno. Hayashi gets the better of the lumbering Reno, before tagging out to Tajiri. Tajiri begins decimating Reno with kicks, before hitting the Buzzsaw Kick to the back of his head! Johnny the Bull charges in to break up the fall, but is met with Yang and Hayashi, who send him spilling to the floor — before knocking Daniels off the apron with tandem dropkicks! Tajiri hits a second Buzzsaw Kick, and it’s good for three.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> After the Jung Dragons leave, an angry Daniels begins chewing out the Sindicate in the centre of the ring. Reno and the Bull have had enough however, returning fire with their own trash-talk. “What about when your boys left us all alone three weeks ago, huh?” Reno shouts. Speak of the devil — Crowbar and Kid Vicious come striding down to ringside with Daffney in tow, and the three aim to break the quarrel up. James Mitchell just stands in the corner, stroking the Necronomicon in his arms, before giving Daniels a silent, curt nod.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Daniels, Crowbar and Vicious turn on the Sindicate and begin beating them down to the ground, stomping a mudhole in the two bulky brutes! Daffney shrieks abuse at Reno and the Bull as Mitchell takes a microphone and lectures the audience. “You need not concern yourself with the Mitchell Family’s internal affairs, but let me say this — a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and it seems we had two very… very weak links. Their faith was lacking, and now the Book of the Dead will feed twice tonight.” Daniels lifts Reno to his feet and with Crowbar’s aid lifts him up and delivers a brutal sit-out tombstone piledriver — the same that took out Jushin Thunder Liger! Vicious already has Bull up, and Daniels delivers a second tombstone to leave both men out for the count, a sadistic grin on his face.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Do you think that scares me, Giant? I’m not afraid to be hit with the strap, choked with it — not afraid to get whipped, to get blistered, to bleed, man!” Flair begins slapping himself in the face, causing his face to redden. “There’s only thing on my mind, and that’s to find a way to win no matter what, no matter how. You’re bigger, taller, heavier than me — but by God, you’re not smarter! I’m the dirtiest player in the game! That’s a painting, for you moronic fans.” The audience dutifully boo in response.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Chuck switches gears, shaking his head. “But enough of that. Last week, I promised to introduce you all to my personal stylist, Rico Constantino. And the Chuck Magnet always delivers,” he adds with a wink. “So give him a very warm round of applause,” he announces, gesturing back to the curtain. Out comes a well-built but effete man in tiger-stripe trousers, a red turtleneck and sporting ridiculous sideburns running to the corners of his mouth. ‘Yay, Rico!” Torrie squeals, hopping up and down on the spot.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Bobby Heenan seems shocked that Rico is teaming with Palumbo: “He’s a wrestler too?!” Tenay consults his notes, and informs the Brain that Constantino comes from a military and police background, has served on the SWAT team and also competed on American Gladiators. “And now he’s a stylist,” Heenan states deadpan. Rico impresses with some kicks and chops to Kash, before tagging in Chuck Palumbo. Chucky works aggressively with hard strikes and slams, as Tenay speculates that he’s taking his frustrations with Sean O’Haire out on the Megabucks. Palumbo eventually hits EZ Money with the TKO for the convincing win.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Torrie rushes out of the way as O’Haire hooks Palumbo’s leg, screaming: “Falls count anywhere!” He is prevented from getting the visual three by Rico, who dives in to make the save — but O’Haire drops him with a clothesline! </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The other Radicalz are in Guerrero’s corner, and Air Raid second Kidman. “This is quickly becoming one of WCW’s most exciting rivalries,” Mike Tenay notes, “and Arn Anderson has signed a rematch for the Cruiserweight Trios Championships for Uncensored.” Kidman gets the shine early against Guerrero, knocking him loopy with headscissors and a dropkick. Guerrero rakes the eye and takes over on offense, beginning to wear down Kidman’s midsection. Air Raid lead pound the canvas in rhythm, the crowd following suit — and Kidman feeds off the energy, muscling out of Guerrero’s headlock and beginning a comeback!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Kidman hits a succession of crossbodies before nailing the BK Bomb, then climbing up top to add an exclamation point — the Shooting Star Press! Kidman covers Guerrero for the 1… 2… and Malenko pulls Kidman out of the ring and decks him with a clothesline! Referee Nick Patrick is seemingly furious, and as Mike Tenay calls loudly for a disqualification on commentary, Air Raid rush to meet Malenko and Saturn head on! The four men brawl as a dazed Kidman rolls back inside and is caught with a hard lariat by Guerrero. Latino Heat climbs up top and hits the Frog Splash to the softened midsection for the win.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Mike Tenay is incensed on commentary, wondering why Patrick didn’t call for a DQ. "We all know his history as the nWo’s crooked referee, I wonder what his price was tonight.” Heenan shrugs: “That was years ago. Besides, the referee’s decision is final — and the better man won anyway.” Air Raid continue clearing house at ringside, even knocking Guerrero to the floor when he rolls outside to join the fray. They begin rummaging under the ring-apron, and pull out a ladder as the crowd roar in excitement. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Paris whips Saturn into the commentary table and slumps him atop it, causing Tenay and Heenan to scatter. Styles positions the ladder and begins climbing to the half-way point and posing with arms stretched out wide. He leaps from ten feet in the air, putting Saturn through the commentary table with a diving elbow drop! Styles is helped to his feet by Paris as Kidman recovers long enough to roll outside and celebrate with them. The Radicalz may have won the match tonight, but Kidman and Air Raid stand tall to end the show.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The show is expected to be gimmick-heavy, with Giant and Flair in a strap match and O’Haire versus Palumbo in a Falls Count Anywhere bout. In a historical trivia note, the Uncensored show debuted in 1995 with the idea that none of the matches had been sanctioned by WCW — as such, there were no title matches. This concept lasted a single year, with future editions having the theme of multiple no-disqualification or gimmick matches.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> At last week’s Worldwide tapings, Abismo blew an ear-drum, a minor injury that is not expected to keep him out of the ring.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Dave Taylor has officially returned to his trainer role at OVW, having served the last eight months as enhancement talent working with the younger and less-skilled members of the roster. Taylor has good basics but is considered far past his prime, and so the decision was made to take him off the road. </div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Another OVW trainer, Fit Finlay, has been brought in for a similar role as Taylor once occupied. The veteran brawler*is well-respected, and will be working a part-time schedule — he will only be available for Saturday Night tapings and pay-per-views.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Developmental tryouts this week include: Brock Lesnar, who is rumored to be the next name called up to WCW; Slash, the former Wolfie D who has bulked up and adopted a gothic persona; John Cena, a promising blue chipper with a weightlifting background; Carly Colon, the son of Carlos Colon; and Brian Kendrick and Paul London, two young high-fliers tag-teaming at OVW.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Flash Flanagan’s name has been shortened to just ‘Flanagan’. This may have something to do with the abundance of similarly-named workers — Lash LeRoux, Kash, and Slash from OVW.
