Make Rusev great again

‣ The reign of Kalisto as U.S. Champion came to a (Bulgarian) brutish end at the hands of Rusev, who begins his second stint as the star-spangled champion thanks to a backbreaking Accolade that forced The King of Flight to submit. Now, while Kalisto looks to regroup, Rusev has the opportunity to pick up where he left off in 2015, when he was riding both a title reign and an undefeated streak. Will The Bulgarian Brute reassert himself as the most fearsome Superstar in WWE?

New Era, New Day

‣ The bygone era will have to wait: The New Day officially vanquished The Vaudevillians at Extreme Rules after suffering three weeks of beatings at the hands of the gentlemen brawlers. The victory reasserts The New Day’s position atop the Tag Team division with at least three tandems that can challenge them. The Vaudevillains could call in a rematch (they’d have a case given that Kofi Kingston’s interference saved the champions’ chances). The Shining Stars might look to make a statement. And then there’s Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson …

Good brothers, bad intentions

‣ Gallows & Anderson beat and beat up on The Usos in Extreme Rules’ hellacious Tornado Tag Team Match. Though fellow Club-mate AJ Styles may not get another WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match (more on that in a minute), Gallows & Anderson can make a solid case for a WWE Tag Team Title opportunity. Whether they choose to go that route or simply beat up on tag teams for recreation seems to be entirely up to them. Either way, it’ll be must-see.

Hand of the Queen

‣ Charlotte retained her WWE Women’s Championship against Natalya in a Submission Match without the help of Ric Flair. However, she did need help after all at Extreme Rules. Dana Brooke’s Ric Flair imitation and subsequent cheap-shot of The Queen of Harts set up Natalya to submit to the Figure-Eight. With Charlotte's reign preserved, is there anyone in the women’s locker room who can overcome her now that Dana is apparently watching her back?

Return of 'The Man'

‣ Roman Reigns barely even had a second to enjoy retaining his WWE World Heavyweight Championship over AJ Styles at Extreme Rules when Seth Rollins returned from injury and completely eviscerated The Big Dog, staking his claim on the title he never lost in the ring. Whether AJ Styles is willing to step aside is another matter entirely, but it’s safe to say The Architect will have plenty to say when his rebuilding project begins in earnest. See what goes down when Raw airs live at 8/7 C on USA Network. And be sure to watch Raw Pre-Show at 7:30 ET, only on the award-winning WWE Network.

BALTIMORE, MD

'The Man' Comes Around
“Tonight is the night…”

‣ Less than twenty four hours removed from the red-hot Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Monday Night Raw comes to us live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland! The WWE Universe is buzzing from last night’s action as still shots from last night’s main event contest between Roman Reigns and AJ Styles is shown. The crowd pops loudly as the still shot shows the return of Seth Rollins after last night’s main event as the final shot is of “The Future” holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the air with that signature smirk on his face. Cutting to ringside, Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield, and Byron Saxton welcome us to another action packed edition of Raw as we are heading towards Money in the Bank, and we will have two qualifying matches later tonight!

‣ The theme music of Seth Rollins hits the speakers as the WWE Universe explodes with cheers as the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion walks out in front of a Raw crowd for the first time since last December’s Slammy Awards. With his signature smirk, Rollins feigns limping while first coming out but changes it up and gives us a look so we know that his leg is fully healed after his awful injury from last year. Seth gets in the ring as the atmosphere is absolutely electric in the Royal Farms Arena, which entices Michael Cole to proclaim this as a “Hero’s Welcome”. Rollins lets the loud “Welcome Back” chant die down before grabbing a microphone to make his first statement in the ring since his injury. “Last year, I had the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ripped away from me because my body decided to fail on me. I destroyed my knee last year and I was forced to relinquish the WWE World Championship because Stephanie McMahon and Triple H decided that I could no longer compete with my injury. Trust me, I wanted to compete with or without that injury because I proved that I am the best guy in this damn company. But fate just so happened to put me on the shelf and as I sat there in rehab and watched my two former Shield buddies fight over the title I never lost, I decided I needed to change myself. I needed to change Seth Rollins. And if I were to change Seth Rollins to make myself even better, I needed to drop The Authority, because let’s be honest here, Triple H, Kane, and J&J Security were just holding me back. I redesigned and I rebuilt Seth Rollins. And I’m going to recapture my WWE World Heavyweight championship and take back my throne that I never lost.” exclaims Rollins to another big pop from the WWE Universe, it is without question the biggest reaction in a WWE arena since Shane McMahon jumping off the Hell In A Cell structure at WrestleMania. Suddenly, the theme music of AJ Styles hits the speakers as the presumed leader of The Club steps out on stage to a big, albeit smaller, pop from the WWE Universe. Limping down to the ring from the effects of last night’s Extreme Rules match, Styles grabs himself a microphone and congratulates Rollins on making his return. “I’m not going to come out here and not give you credit for making it back after your injury, Seth. I’m just out here to tell you that a lot has changed around here since you left. You are no longer the premier athlete in this company… I am. And the only reason why I’m not the WWE champion right now is because of Roman Reigns’ stupid cousins. I’m not going to complain though, because I am formally challenging Roman Reigns to a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money In The Bank.” shoots Styles as Rollins retorts with a confused look on his face. “Woah, wait a second there, champ. Last time I checked, you lost your opportunity twice now to become champion. You lost twice, buddy. Roman Reigns never beat me for my Championship. So come Money In The Bank, I will be facing Reigns for the championship and reclaim what I never lost.” announces Rollins as he and Styles argue back and forth on who will challenge Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view event. The fans are clearly behind Rollins in this heated exchange but the WWE Universe hushes when the theme music of Shane McMahon hits as one half of the people in charge of Monday Night Raw walks out on stage with a smile. “I was just in the back and I overheard you two having an argument about who will challenge for the WWE World title in four weeks. Well, and I’m sure Stephanie will be fine with this, I thought about it and both matches sound good for the show… but we can only have one. Therefore, tonight on Monday Night Raw in our main event, we will have a number one contendership match between AJ Styles and… Seth Rollins, where the winner will go on to Money In The Bank and challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Sound good?” reveals Shane O’Mac with a big grin as the WWE Universe pops in anticipation for the huge match later tonight. Styles and Rollins both nod their heads in the ring, both of them promising to walk out number one contender tonight in Baltimore as Raw fades to its first commercial break of the evening.

‣ Money In The Bank Qualifying Match - Alberto Del Rio versus. Sami Zayn : Returning from commercial, a graphic is shown promoting tonight’s other Money In The Bank Qualifying Match between Kevin Owens and Zack Ryder. The ‘Mexican Aristocrat’ is out first to some mild boos from the WWE Universe, as he looks to catapult his career back into title contention, however his opponent tonight was a lot more popular as Sami Zayn firmly has the crowd in the palm of his hands. Lots of ‘Ole’ chants to start the match as they don’t seem to distract the former WWE champion. Both men countered each and put up valiant efforts looking to advance to the famed ladder match in around four weeks. Del Rio continuously tried to lock in the devastating Cross Armbreaker but the ‘Syrian Superstar’ countered the efforts and knocked Del Rio down to the ground with a beautiful Helluva Kick to gain the pinfall victory to advance to the Money In The Bank Ladder Match! Michael Cole explains that this will be Sami’s first Money In The Bank ladder match and that we will find out who else will join Zayn in the pay-per-view match later tonight in a match between Kevin Owens and Zack Ryder.

‣ Cutting backstage, the always beautiful Renee Young is standing by in the interview area with the “Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose. Ambrose, still aching from last night’s wicked Asylum Match, walks on screen holding his neck but is all, as sick and twisted as it is, smiles looking back at some still shots from last night’s brutal match between him and Chris Jericho. Renee asks Ambrose on his mindset following last night’s match. “You know Renee, last night was violent. It was everything I imagined the Asylum match to be and quite frankly, I loved every minute of it. Have you seen Chris Jericho since last night?” questions Ambrose in which Young responds with ‘No’. “Exactly. That match destroyed Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho entered my Asylum and he left with battle wounds and thumbtacks stuck in his body like he was my personal pin cushion…” exclaims Ambrose who stops mid sentence as Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar’s personal advisor, walks by. Ambrose, with a look of fury in his eyes, returns his attention to Renee Young. “... I’ll get back to this later…” reveals Dean who then leaves the set in the same direction that Heyman went.

‣ Returning from commercial, a graphic is shown highlighting another Money In The Bank Qualifying Match that will take place this Thursday on Smackdown: “The Winner of the 2016 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal” Baron Corbin will face “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry! The battle of these behemoths will surely be one to watch.

‣ Non-Title Match - The New Day, Kofi Kingston and Big E, versus. The current WWE Tag Team champions jump out on stage clapping alongside the WWE Universe who are ecstatic to see the fun-loving trios who are each holding a box of Booty-O’s. Kofi twerks his way down the ramp as Xavier Woods gladly plays Francesca 2 down to the ring. JBL takes some time to acknowledge that they “Are having fun, Maggle”. Xavier Woods plays Francesca 2 in the ring as Kofi Kingston throws Booty O’s cereal to the crowd as Big E is in the corner shaking his booty on JoJo, who is smirking with pleasure. The trio returns to the middle of the ring and grab microphones to address their fanbase. “Ladies and gentlebooty, clap along for your W...W...E… World… Tag… Team… Champions!” announces Big E while thrusting his stuff. “Last night, we showed that the Vaudevillains were nothing but Booty. Because they make sure that you ain’t Booty.” adds Woods who once again plays Francesca 2. “New Day Rocks” chants break out in the arena until the theme song of The Social Outcasts interrupts the fun as Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, and Heath Slater run down to the ring and do a lap of the Bo Train before entering the rain. “Listen here, Booty Day, y’all ain’t no match for the Social Outcasts!” yells Slater who’s voice cracks at the end of his sentence. The “Red Dragon” and “The Axe Man” take off their shirts and signal for the match to start. Big E and Xavier state that they got this as Kofi Kingston and “The Inspirational” Bo Dallas head outside the ring to cheer on their respective teams. Slater and Axel argue a bit on who is going to start the match, Slater winning a game of rock, paper, scissors to start. However, as he turns around, he is knocked down instantly by a big clothesline by Big E. E punches Axel from the apron as he tags in Woods who connects with a beautiful Shining Wizard for the quick victory. The New Day gyrate in the ring in celebration as The Social Outcasts retreat up the ramp. However, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, run down from backstage and immediately throw Kofi Kingston and Big E out of the ring as they target the “Commander of Clap” Xavier Woods. Gallows and Anderson drop him with the Magic Killer as they pick up the WWE Tag Team Championships and return to the back with the belts in their possession.

‣ A video package is shown coming back from commercial as the words “Next week” appear on screen as next week on Memorial Day, John Cena will make his return live exclusively on Monday Night Raw!

‣ Michael Cole, JBL, and Byron Saxton read us through some of the many tweets that were sent out last night for Extreme Rules. Cole read the tweet from Seth Rollins which read: “Miss Me?”. Whereas Byron Saxton read the tweet from Tyson Kidd who vowed he would return to the squared circle sometime in the near future. JBL calls him “The Miracle Kidd” and wishes him the best with the road to returning to the ring.

‣ Cesaro versus. Sheamus : Speaking of Tyson Kidd, his best friend and tag team partner Cesaro is in action tonight against former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. Both men with chips on their shoulders as they both look to advance their career and get some much needed momentum here tonight. Cesaro and Sheamus both hit hard with take no-names attitude as they both uppercut each other with pleasure. Sheamus tries to break Cesaro by wrapping his body around the ring post but in the end “The Swiss Superman” connected with a flying European Uppercut and finishes the Irishman with the Gotch Neutralizer. Cesaro celebrates in the ring as Intercontinental Champion The Miz watches from backstage on a monitor alongside his beautiful wife Maryse. Tom Phillips jumps into the shot asking the champion on his thoughts from last night’s fatal four-way. “You talking to me?” asks Miz who laughs at his own joke and walks off set as Maryse follows him.

‣ Elsewhere backstage, Ric Flair is walking down the hall with a bottle of champagne and ‘Wooing’ out loud while singing “My daughter is champion!” between each ‘Woo!’. Flair struts along in the hallway as Michael Cole announces that Charlotte’s Championship Celebration will be up next on Raw!

‣ Coming back from commercial, the theme music of WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte hits as the WWE Universe greet the champion with jeers. Charlotte walks down to the ring with a smile on her face as she is accompanied by her new best friend, Dana Brooke. Charlotte and Brooke enter the ring and grab microphones to address last night’s match however their voices are drowned out by the boos from the crowd. “I know, I know. I’ll chant alongside you guys… Wooo! Wooo!” starts Charlotte with a smirk on her face. “Last night, I proved my dominance as your WWE Women’s Champion when I made Natalya submit in the middle of the ring. It will always be known that the Flair family is better than the Hart family. That is why smart women like Dana Brooke would rather join the Flairs and not the Harts.” exclaims Charlotte while holding her title high in the air. Dana Brooke claps and smiles as Charlotte continues to “Woooo!” in the ring. The attention of the two ladies in the ring is diverted to the TitanTron as the image of Ric Flair laying on the ground in pain is shown as WWE doctors are attending to the two-time Hall of Famer. The theme music of Becky Lynch hits as the “Irish Lass Kicker” walks out on stage holding the bottle of champagne the elder Flair was holding before the break. “Just wait a minute there Charlotte, I’m sorry to come out here and pop your… bubble-y… but I just needed to tell you that your Father told me to come out here and wish you luck at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view because a new match has just been signed. You’ll be defending that WWE Women’s Championship against me!” reveals Lynch who is now on the ring apron while shaking the champagne bottle. “Oh, and don’t get wet with excitement.” adds Lynch while popping open the bottle with champagne shooting out all over Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Charlotte and Brooke look incensed in the ring as Becky Lynch laughs her way to the back.

‣ The Shining Stars, Primo and Epico, versus. Enzo and Cass : The Shining Stars of Puerto Rico came down to the ring smelling their flowers with smiles on their faces. “Heyyo Epico, you know what would be better than being in this stupid city of Baltimore, tonight?” asks Primo. “What, Primo?” responds Epico with a smirk. “BEING IN PUERTO RICO!” announces both men to some boos from the crowd. Primo and Epico rip on the Baltimore Ravens until the Italian sounding sizzle emerges through the speakers as the WWE Universe explode with hype as Big Cass walks out from backstage with a smile on his face. He points back to the entrance as a hyped up Enzo Amore runs out to a big pop from the crowd! “My name is Enzo Amore and I am a Certified G and a Bonafide Stud, and you can’t teach that! And this right here is Big Cass and he’s seven foot tall and you can’t teach that! BADDA BOOM, REALEST GUYS IN THE ROOM!” starts Enzo who is jumping around with hype on his first night back since returning from his concussion. “And those two schmos in the ring ain’t got no clue who they messin’ with tonight. We in the City of Neighbourhoods and the goons of the hood right here will kick yo asses. We gonna give ya moe than a Poe beatdown here tonight. How ya doin’?” proclaims Enzo who is blindsided by a right hand from Epico. The brawl is on as the WWE Universe are clearly behind the returning Enzo and the big Big Cass. Epico and Primo double teamed the recently concussed Amore. A hot tag later, Primo and Epico are on the receiving end of a Big Cass beatdown until the lights in the arena change to black and white as Simon Gotch and Aiden English walk down to the ring and applaud the in-ring action as if it were a Broadway Musical. Off the distraction, Epico is quickly rolled up by Enzo Amore who scores the victory. As Enzo and Cass leave the ring, Epico and Primo look visibly upset by The Vaudevillains distraction as Gotch and English walk to the back, leaving Epico and Primo behind.

‣ A graphic is shown on screen promoting tonight’s main event number one contendership match as AJ Styles takes on the recently returned Seth Rollins, where the winner will advance to the Money In The Bank pay-per-view to face Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

‣ Money In The Bank Qualifying Match - Kevin Owens versus. Zack Ryder : Two former Intercontinental Champions squared off in the ring for a chance to advance in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match coming up in around four weeks. Ryder brought the fight as if he were a ball of energy but ultimately he fell to a Pop-Up Powerbomb by Kevin Owens who earned the victory here tonight. As Owens came back to his feet, Michael Cole proclaims that Owens will now join his arch-rival Sami Zayn in the pay-per-view bout. John Bradshaw Layfield announces that we will see Baron Corbin versus Mark Henry in a #MITB qualifier this Thursday on Smackdown.

You’re entering a new era of Raw and I am glad you were able to come back.” exclaims Stephanie. Seth smirks, “Cut the crap Steph. You know just as well as I know that your good guy image right now is a bunch of crap. I don’t need your welcome backs. I’m going to go out there tonight and show the world just how great I am.” retorts Rollins who goes back to stretching as McMahon leaves the locker room, shocked by her former friend’s answer.

‣ Non-Title Match - Rusev versus. Sin Cara : Still shots are shown from Rusev versus Kalisto for the United States championship last night at Extreme Rules. Rusev nearly broke the back of the masked luchador to win the United States Championship for the second time in his career. At the end of the package, Rusev walks out on stage coveting his championship alongside the stunning Lana who has her hair down and a smile on her face. “People of America, silence. I am YOUR champion and I will be YOUR CHAMPION FOR SEVEN YEARS!” exclaims Rusev with a smile as he taps Lana on the buttocks. “AND YOU ARE ALL JEALOUS BECAUSE NOT ONLY DO I HAVE YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP but I HAVE THE WOMAN OF YOUR DREAMS RUSEV MACHKA!” finishes Rusev as the theme of The Lucha Dragons hits the speakers as Sin Cara runs down to the ring without his tag partner for a match against the “Bulgarian Brute”. Rusev spends much of his time in the ring showboating and treating Sin Cara as a little dog, or a cold fish per say, but the masked luchador was able to swat him like a Mexican mosquito and lock in a vicious Accolade for the submission victory.

‣ Backstage in his locker room, AJ Styles is stretching and preparing for his match tonight against “The Future” Seth Rollins. Styles punches the air as the fellow members of The Club, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, walk into the room brandishing the WWE Tag Team championships that they stole from the New Day earlier today. “If you ever need help in the ring tonight, AJ, you know we’ll be waiting. You got this.” proclaims Anderson as the trio too sweet one another with smiles on their faces. Michael Cole questions if The Club will get involved in tonight’s main event.

‣ For the first time tonight, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is seen in his locker room hanging out with his cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso. The Usos question if Reigns is alright following Rollins’ attack last night and the Extreme Rules match. “Am I alright? You’re damn right I’m alright. I am the World champion and I earned this spot carrying the company. I’m not going to let AJ Styles or Seth Rollins take this away from me. I am the guy that runs this place and both of them will learn that the hard way.” retorts Reigns who grabs his championship belt and exits the room.

‣ WWE World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contendership - AJ Styles versus. Seth Rollins : AJ Styles makes his entrance first tonight as he receives a decent pop from the crowd but the entire WWE Universe is buzzing for the in-ring return of Seth freakin’ Rollins. Moments pass as the anticipation grows bigger until the familiar opening riff of Rollins’ theme music hits as “The Future” walks out with a grin on his face as he receives another hero’s welcome from the Baltimore crowd. Rollins climbs up on the turnbuckle before the match as a loud “Let’s Go Rollins” chant breaks out in the Royal Farms Arena. The bell rings as a big fight feel engulfs the entire arena as Michael Cole, JBL, and Byron Saxton announce the obvious: this is a pay-per-view main event worthy match. Both men kick off the match with some nice technical wrestling, outsmarting one another at multiple tries, until Styles locked in the Calf Crusher, targeting Rollins’ recently repaired leg. Rollins eventually got to the ring ropes to break up the submission. Styles and Seth continued to bring the fight in this great main event, as both men reversed each other’s finishers countless times, really showcasing that they both want to become the number one contender to Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins got the advantage and dropped Styles with a Pedigree… only to get a real close two-count! The fans are in a frenzy as Rollins can’t believe it. A few minutes later, Seth lines up for the Curb Stomp, but Styles catches the leg and plants Seth with the Styles Clash to get a near fall. Styles signals for the end as he goes to the apron and springboards for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Rollins jumps up in the ring as Styles jumps and connects with a beautiful dropkick! Styles remains down on the mat as Rollins ascends the turnbuckles and connects with a beautiful Phoenix Splash to a huge pop to gain the hard-earned victory tonight on Raw!

‣ As the broadcast is looking to fade to black and come to a close, Seth Rollins stands up with a smile on his face as he celebrates advancing to the Money In The Bank pay-per-view to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, coming out of the crowd, Roman Reigns hops the barricade and enters the ring. As Rollins turns around, Reigns drops him with a huge Spear to massive boos from the WWE Universe. Reigns stands tall over the fallen Rollins, holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship high in the air with a smug smirk, as Raw fades to black.

Your graphics look really nice and the tweets look great too, nicely done.

However there is too much text and nothing to break up your show posts and I just find myself getting lost in them. Mix it up a bit and put in a couple of graphics or pictures for only certain wrestlers.

I hope this stays active as it looks good but you need to spread it out a bit too.

good luck

I've always been one, when writing my diaries, not to add a picture/graphic for the sake of adding a picture/graphic. Most of the times, it would be the PPV graphic for a match that was announced or match graphics in general. I've added them to the show above, so it should read a bit better on the eyes now.

Smackdown Preview : Full Details

NORFOLK SCOPE

NORFOLK, VA

Money On The Horizon

‣ Both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn qualified for the coveted Money In The Bank ladder match that will be taking place in the T-Mobile Arena is beautiful Las Vegas in just a few short weeks. The field for the prestigious match will get even bigger this week, quite literally, as either “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin or “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry will advance to the ladder war. Thursday night has never been bigger.

The Club Goes Clubbing

‣ Following a strong victory against The Usos as Extreme Rules, The Club, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, inserted themselves rather forcefully in the WWE Tag Team Championship scene by taking out the current W...W...E... TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD, the New Day. We know you just gyrated your hips as well. However, after the attack on Monday Night, the New Day may not be gyrating their hips but gyrating their fists in The Club’s direction. Will The Club continue their warpath on the tag team division? Or will they turn out to be nothing but Booty?

The Second Coming of the Second Coming

‣ Seth freakin’ Rollins… the name of the new number one contender for Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Since making his return on Monday Night Raw, Rollins will be coming to Thursday Night Smackdown for the first time since his devastating injury late last year. Not only will he make his first appearance on Smackdown, but he will be in competition when he faces off against Sami Zayn in what will be a surefire barnburner.

The Shining Stars of Smackdown

‣ Monday Night on Raw showcased the many different issues in WWE’s tag team division. Primo and Epico, fresh off a loss to Enzo Amore and Big Cass, will be looking to defeat the tag team that distracted them for the match finish on Monday night. Aiden English and Simon Gotch are not to be taken lightly, as they look to keep their name in title contention. However, will other teams like The Golden Truth or FaBreeze insert their name into the hunt this Thursday night? See what goes down when Smackdown airs at 8/7 C on USA Network.
