Impact Wrestling on Pop! Episode #061

Impact Wrestling’s historic “Battle of Britain” opens with a video package solely promoting tonight’s landmark UK vs. UK Main Event match. We see footage from both Drew Galloway and Magnus’ “Road To Wembley”, with clips taken from the match previously considered the biggest match in UK wrestling history - Giant Haystack vs. Big Daddy - courtesy of “World of Sport”. Following his Impact Wrestling return, Magnus set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship, and he will get his chance, tonight, against Drew Galloway!

<hr>Directly from the video package, we go over to the interview area, where Magnus is stood by. He is asked about “the biggest match of [his] career” tonight.

Magnus says that he’s been in some pretty big matches. Jeff Hardy, when he first won the title. Sting, when he ended “The Icon’s” Impact Wrestling career. Bobby Roode, to become the Global Force Wrestling Champion. Those were all huge moments for him, but being back in the UK - in Wembley Arena of all place - maybe does put this match at the top of the pile. To win the World Heavyweight Championship, in the biggest match between two homegrown stars of all time, would be a moment that would live with Magnus forever. Tonight, in the greatest arena of earth, a building that is to UK fans, what Madison Square Garden is to those back in the US, two titans of UK wrestling go one on one, and win, lose or draw… he
will
make history!

<hr>Opening up in the ring, we see Jeremy Borash and D’Angelo Dinero, who each have a microphone in their hand.

Jeremy Borash speaks first, promoting a “landmark moment” in the history of UK wrestling, and Impact Wrestling, tonight at Wembley Arena. Because tonight - for the first time ever - two homegrown UK talents will battle it out for the World Heavyweight Championship. D’Angelo Dinero then attempts to hype the audience, who he says are about to witness one of the most important nights in British Wrestling history! He says that he is pumped to be here in the iconic Wembley Arena, where in just under two hours, Drew Galloway will defend his World Heavyweight Championship!

Jeremy Borash adds that together with the crowd, Impact Wrestling is looking to show the entire world, that there’s no better fans of Professional Wrestling, than those here in London, England! Before D’Angelo Dinero can say his next piece, the music of Michael Bennett begins to play, and he and his wife make their way down to the ring.

Michael Bennett tells Jeremy Borash to shut his mouth! Everybody here knows that Drew Galloway shouldn’t have been in this match, Bennett should be the World Heavyweight Champion! But in some board room, where the Impact Wrestling marketing team dwell, a plan was hatched… a marquee UK vs. UK match was “written in the stars”, and they needed to manufacture that situation, because Drew Galloway - or Magnus for that matter - could never have beaten him fairly!

D’Angelo Dinero says if that’s the case, then why does Pope recall watching him tap out to both Drew Galloway
and
Magnus, last month? Michael Bennett gets in Pope’s face, and tells him that he’s just as big a part of this than anybody, because on commentary they’ve promoted this match non-stop, at the expense of telling the truth. The truth that he was robbed of his Championship and robbed of his rematch. Michael Bennett says that there is a cut and dry conspiracy against him, and it started when they landed on this backwards Island. He tells the audience to enjoy their puppet show tonight, because when he returns to the United States, Michael Bennett will once again reign over the “Kingdom” that is Impact Wrestling. As Michael Bennett goes to leave, the music of Tyrus begins to play and the big man makes his way down to the ring.

Tyrus tells Michael Bennett to hold on, if he’s in the ring, then there’s no reason for them to wait. So how about, Michael Bennett shuts his mouth and they get down to the action!

Claiming that he wasn’t ready from the opening bell, Michael Bennett had another round of excuses ready, as his performance level continues to slip. Throughout the match, he was overpowered by Tyrus, and could only take momentary breaks as a one sided contest developed. While he eventually did manage some offensive moves - following a rake to the eyes of his opponent - Michael’s spell of control was far from convincing. He struggled to take Tyrus off his feet, and resorted to climbing to the second rope in an attempt to do so. This attempt failed, and Tyrus swatted his opponent away. Feeling the match was in danger of slipping out of her husband’s hands, Maria began to make her presence felt, with the referee not catching on immediately, allowing her to begin to influence proceeding.

Thank to Maria’s help, Michael Bennett soon found himself in the driver’s seat, taking Tyrus down with a Chop Block, while the big man had been distracted. Bennett had then hit a Knee Strike, which sent Tyrus down to the canvas. Tyrus tried to fight back, but Maria was there at every turn. This changed when Johnny Curtis made his way down to the ring, having had enough of the constant interference.

As Johnny got close to her, Maria ran away from him and this incident caused Michael Bennett to lose focus. Bennett pointed at Johnny, warning him to stay away from his wife. While he did this, Tyrus made it to his feet and was stood behind Bennett. Johnny Curtis gestured with a Crotch Chop towards Bennett, who then turned straight into the ICU Throat Spike from Tyrus. Following up with Running Splash, Tyrus was able to pick up a victory against the former World Heavyweight Champion!

Winner:
Tyrus (in 6:48)

Following the match, Michael Bennett rolled out of the ring, and into the arms of his furious wife. While Johnny and Tyrus celebrated in the ring, the announcers pointed to yet another defeat for Michael Bennett. Beaten by Drew Galloway, Magnus, Matt Hardy and now Tyrus, it appears that his obsession with the apparent “conspiracy” against him, is having a severely adverse effects on his Impact Wrestling career!

In a pre-recorded segment, we see clips from an interview with Mark Andrews and Joel Redman.

The two men give their feelings regarding tonight’s Main Event, which Joel Redman calls “the biggest match in the country's history”. Mark Andrews says that he knows both men well, and this match means the world to them. Mark Andrews says that he’s proud to be part of a historic night in the story of British Wrestling.

<hr>Back “live”, we see Eddie Edwards storming through the backstage area. Last week, he was hit with a Spinebuster from Bobby Roode, and an Elbow Drop by Eric Young. He is clearly looking for somebody, when he bumps into Lee & Everett.

He demands to know where BEEF is, telling the World Tag Team Champions that he’s going to kick his ass! Andrew Everett says that BEEF isn’t here, he’s flown back to the US… some “business” meeting or something. Eddie is furious to be unable to get his hands on BEEF, and asks Lee & Everett if they’re protecting him. If he find out that BEEF is here, and he isn’t able to get his hands on him, he won’t be happy!

Trevor Lee asks Eddie why they’d be protecting him? They don’t need to look out for anything apart from the World Tag Team Champions. Lee & Everett then walk off, leaving a frustrated Eddie Edwards to rethink his plan of action.

If there was a reason for this match to go down, it was never explained by anyone, before or during the match. While the two women worked hard, there was very little to go on in the contest, and the audience didn’t respond particularly well. This was a fairly basic back and forth match, which eventually came to an end following an attempted Running Bulldog from Alisha. Marti was able to put the brakes on, reversing it into a Neckbreaker. Belle covered Alisha to pick up the victory.

Winner:
Marti Belle (4:34)

In the backstage area, the Impact Wrestling cameras have caught up with Sami Callihan. Tonight, he will defend his X Division Championship against Mark Andrews.

Sami Callihan cuts a promo, dismissing the challenge of Mark Andrews. Tonight isn’t about the people of the United Kingdom, nor is it about the prim and proper values of Great Britain. Where Callihan resides, there are no values, there are no “manners” and most importantly, there are no limits! There is no boundary that Sami Callihan won’t cross, no barrier he won’t break, in order to remain the X Division Champion. If that means mutilating and brutalising another hometown hero… then that’s exactly what he will do!

<hr>Going into the commercial break, we see footage from “earlier today”, as Drew Galloway made his way into Wembley Arena.

Carrying the World Heavyweight Championship proudly over his shoulder, he spoke to fans outside of the building, before shaking hands with crew members as he entered Wembley Arena. Tonight, in the Main Event, Drew Galloway will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Magnus!

<hr>Returning from the commercial break, we see Michael Bennett and Maria storming through the backstage area.

Having lost earlier in the night to Tyrus, Michael Bennett is heard telling whoever will listen that they’re going home. He has plenty to say about the United Kingdom, vowing to never return. Michael Bennett doesn’t need the United Kingdom, he will build a Kingdom all of his own!

<hr>
A video package recaps Micah and Lashley’s confrontation last week. Looking to establish himself as a singles star, Micah has called for the head of Impact Wrestling’s most feared competitor! Tonight they will go one on one...

As Jeremy Borash pointed out going into the match, nobody could ever doubt the toughness of Micah. The son of the most feared and respected wrestler of all time, Haku, Micah has grown into an equally dangerous competitor. The only question mark that remained, was whether his toughness was able to match the all-round athletic ability of Lashley. One of the most impressive combat sport athletes of all time, Lashley proved in this match why he is so highly revered in Impact Wrestling. Bringing together two brutal styles, this match saw an extra level of intensity brought out of both competitors. Holding his own, the announcers had nothing but praise for Micah, but it eventually became clear that even he could not match the unique conditioning of Lashley.

The pair had taken a lot out of each other, but it seemed as though Lashley simply had that bit left in the tank. While Micah came close - setting up for a Samoan Drop, following a Headbutt - Lashley was able to fight out, eventually picking up a hard fought victory with a Spear. As we know by now, nobody kicks out of a Spear from Lashley!

Winner:
Lashley (in 9:12)

As he stood tall following the match, it was clear that Lashley knew he’d taken a beating. Impressed with his opponent, Lashley nodded his head, happy to have been pushed to his limits.

Returning to the second hour of Impact Wrestling, we see a split screen of both Drew Galloway and Magnus, preparing in their “private locker rooms”.

<hr>Back to the ringside area, we see that Bobby Roode has made his way down to the ring. Having scored something of a victory over Eddie Edwards last week, he takes a microphone and begins to address the audience.

Roode talks about how great their time in the UK has been, touting the success of the “biggest Maximum Impact Tour yet”. He says that he feels that there is just one thing that has been missing from their time here, and that is Bobby Roode getting Eddie Edwards one on one! He’s fought Lee, he’s fought Everett… he even got his hands on BEEF, but while they may have helped screw him out of the Championship, he knows that Eddie Edwards was the ring leader! He calls Eddie Edwards to the ring. Eddie does appear, but refuses to make his way down to the ring.

Eddie Edwards tells Bobby Roode that he’s in no business for his crap this week, and he has a good mind to beat Roode all the way around this building, right now. Roode tells him to bring it, but Eddie isn’t finished. He says that Roode has chased him for weeks, and he’s been unable to get his hands on him without help from Eric Young. He understands why the old timers are sticking together, but this isn’t their Impact Wrestling any more. Edwards asks the audience if they want to see him go one on one with Bobby Roode right now?

But Eddie Edwards doesn’t care about what they want, because he doesn’t care about them, and he doesn’t care about Bobby Roode. If Roode wants to fight him, then he will do it... on American soil. Eddie tells Roode to be patient and Eddie will make the wait worth his while! Eddie then walks off, leaving a frustrated Bobby Roode in the ring.

While Rockstar Spud had vowed to make regaining the X Division Championship his “mission”, he had been unsuccessful in doing so. Such was the brutality of the pre-match attack, followed by the one sided nature of the contest, Rockstar Spud’s defeat left him in no condition to compete for the Championship. Instead, Mark Andrews had been given a huge opportunity and looked to take it with an impressive opening to the match. Eventually the contest settled down, and it soon appeared to be business as usual for Sami Callihan. Breaking down his opponent with his savage, scrappy style, Sami Callihan used his knees and elbows to great effect.

When all hope appeared to be lost for Mark Andrews, he kicked out of an Enziguri, prompting a mini-revival for the young British talent. Coming back at Sami Callihan, he took the X Division Champion off his feet, rallying the audience behind him, and a potential title change. Mark Andrews dropped Callihan to the mat, climbing to the top rope for a Moonsault. As Andrews came down, Callihan got his knees up, having played possum on the canvas. Sami Callihan then returned to his feet, dragging Mark Andrews by the hair, and hit a Double Knee Gutbuster to the challenge. With no reply, Sami Callihan was able to retain the Championship.

Winner:
Sami Callihan (in 7:19)

Going into the commercial break, a video package plays, which shows footage from Magnus’ first World Heavyweight Championship victory, when he defeated Jeff Hardy. We then see footage from his last Impact Wrestling match - at Slammiversary, against James Storm - and his apparent sign off to the fans. Tonight, almost two years after leaving the company, Magnus will face Drew Galloway for the World Heavyweight Championship!

<hr>Returning from the break, we see The Kings of Queens talking about tonight’s Main Event. As we follow them, we see them enter the locker room, where Lance Hoyt is sat, looking at his phone.

Lance immediately rises to his feet, clearly still annoyed with The Kings. BJ Myers tells him to calm down, they’re all friends here. Trenton Lock says they aren’t here for any trouble, they’re here to offer their condolences. Lock says that the effort Lance put in last week was commendable, and it was heartbreaking to see him come so close. Myers says that they just wanted to say congratulations, it took real guts to risk their title shot, and as Lance found out, risks don’t always pay off. Hoyt then appears to loosen up, telling The Kings that it’s fine. They can have their fun right now, because Harry Smith will be back soon, and
they
will take the World Tag Team Championships!

<hr>
Another video package begins to play, this time showing the arrival of Drew Galloway in Impact Wrestling, just a few months prior to Magnus’ departure. We see his victory over Ethan Carter III - in a Ladder Match, last July - where he first became the World Heavyweight Champion. Losing it at Bound For Glory, Drew Galloway became a two time Champion, in Glasgow, back in February. As Galloway celebrated with his compatriots in the audience, Magnus made his surprise return to Impact Wrestling…

<hr>Just moments away from the Main Event, we send over to the interview area, where Drew Galloway is stood by. He is asked for his thoughts and feelings, just moments from one of the biggest matches of his career.

Drew Galloway says that tonight has the potential to be one of the best night of his career. Since he joined Impact Wrestling, he’s had no shortage of great moments, but tonight… the atmosphere, the build up, the expectations, that is what he thrives on. For the past two years, he’s been working his ass off, building his name, building Impact Wrestling and tonight we see why he’s gained a reputation as a big match player. When it comes down it, you can thrown
anything
at Drew Galloway, because when the adrenaline is rushing through him and the moment calls for it, he will not be kept down. Tonight, he steps in the ring with a friend, a man who he has a ton of respect for, but a man who simply can not beat him. Drew Galloway said that Magnus taking the Championship would be over his dead body. He stands by that, and Drew Galloway will leaves London one of two ways, either as the World Heavyweight Champion… or as a corpse!

<hr>
Going into what is promised as the final commercial break of the night, we see a recap from the showdown between Magnus and Drew Galloway last week. Galloway referred to Magnus as an outsider, and a threat to Impact Wrestling. Magnus’ response to the claims was his revelation that, should he win the World Heavyweight Championship tonight, then he will sign a 6 month contract with Impact Wrestling, in order to defend the Championship on their show. Up next, the biggest match in British Wrestling history...

Following both competitors making their entrances, Jeremy Borash entered the ring to perform the “big match introductions”. Promoting the match as “The Battle of Britain”, Jeremy Borash noted that this match is the first
ever
UK vs. UK, World Heavyweight Championship match in Professional Wrestling history! As Jeremy Borash left the ring, the referee signalled for the bell, and the match began…

Soaking in the atmosphere, the competitors began to circle the ring. They sized each other up, before coming together in a collar and elbow tie up. Getting the better of this, Drew Galloway backed Magnus into the corner, before releasing him. The pair once again tied up, but this time Magnus was successful, backing Galloway into the opposite corner. For a third time the pair locked up, with Magnus putting Drew Galloway into a Headlock. The Champion backed into the ropes, rebounding his opponent across the ring. The two men came together, hitting a Shoulder Block. Both men stood firm and once again stalled. When Magnus returned to the center of the ring, he proposed a test of strength. However, as Drew raised his hands, Magnus hit him with a Knee to the gut, allowing him to score the first strike in the match.

Taking control of the Champion, Magnus was able to bring his opponent down to the mat, and looked to slow the pace of the match right down with a rest hold. As Drew fought back to his feet, Magnus pulled him back down, maintaining the grip of the hold. With Galloway struggling for air, he forced himself towards the ropes, resulting in a clean break. Magnus was up first, and as Galloway took a breather in the corner, his opponent laid boots into him. When the referee forced Magnus out of the corner, Drew Galloway was able to return to his feet. From here, Drew Galloway returned to contention in the match, as the pair enjoyed a spell where neither man was in control, but both managed impressive offence.

The next time where the tide appeared to be turning, was this time in the favour of Drew Galloway. Hitting his opponent with a Discus Lariat - seemingly from nowhere - Galloway managed the first cover of the match, barely gaining a two count. The impact of the move did allow him to take control however, and the Champion was able to keep the match in his corner for a good spell. Of course, Magnus is full of fight, and while subsequent pinfall attempts followed, there was no doubt that Magnus had quite a bit left in the tank.

Coming back into the match, the two men once again went back and forth, this time with some brutal brawling. Once again Drew Galloway looked to have his opponent’s number, until he decided to climb to the top rope. Going for his signature Top Rope Splash, Drew Galloway was knocked down from the ropes, by Magnus, causing him to crotch himself on the top turnbuckle. Meeting his opponent on the turnbuckle, Magnus was able to hit Drew with a Superplex, crawling over and gaining a near fall. Now, both men were down, but an opportunistic shot from Magnus allowed him to take the advantage. In doing so, he hit Drew Galloway with a number of signature moves, including the Tormentum - his first finishing move in Impact Wrestling. This only gained a two count.

From here, Magnus looked to dig deep, clearly feeling that he was on the verge of winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Not learning from Galloway’s mistake earlier, he too went to the top rope, seemingly looking for his Diving Elbow Drop. Predictably, Galloway joined him on the second rope, but couldn’t take Magnus down. Magnus managed to fight Galloway off, dropping him from the second turnbuckle. Magnus then hit the Diving Elbow Drop, covering Galloway for the 1… 2… Kickout! Now desperate, Magnus looked deep into his bag of tricks, signalling his intent to go for the Mag Daddy Driver. As he lifted the Champion in the air, Galloway slipped out of the back, pushing Magnus towards the ropes. Fired up, he once again looked for the Discus Lariat, a move which would have put the momentum right back in his corner. However, the hope proved to be premature, as Magnus ducked the attempted shot, and successfully hit the Mag Daddy Driver in a swift motion. Magnus covered Drew Galloway immediately, picking up the ONE… TWO… THR-KICKOUT!

In absolute disbelief, the commentators matched the expression on the face of Magnus. Sure that he’d done enough, they expressed the “superhuman” resilience of Drew Galloway. Magnus went for the cover again, but Drew kicked out quickly. Beginning to panic, Magnus began to lay boots into the back and shoulders of Drew Galloway. Fired up, seemingly fuelled by his own pain, the shots had little effect on Galloway, who shocked Magnus by rising back to his feet. Magnus threw a shot at Galloway, but it was blocked. Galloway hit a series of unanswered right hand shots to Magnus, before coming back at him with a Discus Lariat. Drew Galloway then joined Magnus on the mat, locking in his vicious Iron Maiden submission hold. Probably locking the move too close to the rope, Magnus was able to scramble over, saving himself from one of the most painful submission holds in Impact Wrestling.

Clearly feeling he needed a “time out”, Magnus rolled to the outside of the ring, concerned as to his next move. What he didn’t expect to see, was Drew Galloway climbing to the top rope and diving to the outside, taking both men out. As the referee’s count reached 9, both competitors returned to the ring. The more worse for wear of the two, Magnus threw a wild shot at Drew Galloway and the Champion grabbed his arms. Going for the Future Shock DDT, Galloway looked to end the match. Having his opponent well scouted, Magnus rolled out of the move, pushing Galloway across the ring. Magnus then came at the Champion, who ducked out of his attack. Galloway came back at Magnus with an attempted Claymore Kick, but Magnus was able to avoid the shot. In doing so, he was able to trap Drew’s leg, locking him into the King’s Cloverleaf. The move that had made Michael Bennett submit, was locked in, right in the middle of the ring. Drew Galloway had nowhere to go, and as Magnus applied pressure, Drew shook his head defiantly. Getting close to the ropes, Galloway was dragged back to the middle of the ring, with Magnus once again locking in the hold. Refusing to give up, Galloway tried to go the otherway, and managed to roll out of the move. In doing so, he managed to roll Magnus up, gaining a two count.

Both men were quickly back to their feet, and in the blink of an eye, Drew Galloway hit a Future Shock DDT. Due to the damage he had sustained, and the distance apart they ended up, Galloway was unable to capitalise. Instead, he pulled himself up in the corner, desperately trying to bring blood flow back to his leg. As Magnus returned to his feet, he turned into Galloway setting up for the Claymore Kick. However, at the last moment, his leg gave out, allowing Magnus to hit a stiff boot to his hamstring. Magnus lifted Drew Galloway up for the Mag Daddy Driver, with the Champion still feeling the pull in his leg. Somehow reversing the move, Drew Galloway slipped out the back, while keeping hold of Magnus’ body. Reversing the momentum completely, Galloway was able to drop Magnus with a Tombstone Piledriver. Collapsing on top of him at the point of impact, Drew Galloway covered Magnus for the 1… 2… 3!

Winner:
Drew Galloway (in 18:29)

Victorious in the “Battle of Britain”, the image at the end of the match showed no clear winner. Both equally worn out from the match, the two men laid lifeless in the ring for a short while. Eventually the referee brought Drew’s Championship into the ring, having retained by the slightest margin. Jeremy Borash paid tribute to both competitors, each having given their all for the fans and for Impact Wrestling. As Drew Galloway returned to his feet, Pope said that this is what Professional Wrestling is all about… two modern day warriors, leaving it all in that squared circle!

Drew Galloway has his hand raised in the middle of the ring, as his opponent appears to be coming to. As he takes in the reception of the audience, Drew Galloway points towards Magnus, feeling that he deserves a share of the spotlight. Getting back to his feet, Magnus exchanges words with Drew Galloway and offers the Champion his hand. Galloway rejects the offer, instead choosing to hug his opponent in the middle of the ring. Jeremy Borash highlights the significance of this match to both men, as well as the British Wrestling scene as a whole. They have proved to the entire world, that talent produced on this small island, can match that of anywhere in the world.

Magnus then leaves the ring, allowing his opponent to take in his victory. Seemingly waving goodbye to the audience for a second time, Magnus ensures that he shakes the hands of every fan at ringside. Signing off from the biggest “Maximum Impact Tour” of all-time, Jeremy Borash promotes next week’s LIVE Impact Wrestling Special, with all the reaction from a historic moment in Impact Wrestling history!

During the Maximum Impact Tour, Impact Wrestling welcomed back a former World Heavyweight Champion, the UK born Magnus. Having left the company in 2015 to spearhead Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling, it is believed that the L.S Murphy first contacted Jeff, in order to gain permission for the use of Magnus. When Magnus expressed interest in a returning to perform in front of his home crowd, a deal was agreed, which saw Magnus return for the four Television tapings on the Maximum Impact Tour. While the deal has now expired, Magnus is said to have enjoyed the return, and both sides have left the door open for further bookings at a later date. Sources within the company have stated that the return of Magnus - and the subsequent highly promoted match against Drew Galloway - was the first step of the L.S Murphy Group’s attempt at raising the profile of British and Irish talents within Impact Wrestling. Given the company’s success “across the pond”, it is believed that growth within the UK and Ireland is a priority of the new ownership. They believe that Impact Wrestling’s impressive market share within the area, is a potential key to the promotion’s financial security - especially given the parent company’s link to this part of the world. In addition, there have been reports that there was preliminary talk with officials at Wembley Arena, regarding the possibility of running Bound For Glory in the building, at some point in the future.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Given the hectic schedule of the Maximum Impact Tour - something the company’s talent aren’t particularly used to - several performers were injured during the week long run of shows. The first injury was sustained in Glasgow, by Madison Rayne - on her first night of the tour. Having only competed once, the injury forced her out of the rest of the tour, and resulted in Ayesha Ray being called in for the Manchester date. Next to go down was Harry Smith, who worked two matches in one night at the Manchester taping, leading to any injury in the post-show dark match. This would keep him out of the rest of the tour, and reportedly forced management to nix a potential Tag Team titles switch at Wembley Arena.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Towards the end of the tour, rumours circulated that Micah had been injured, having worked each night of the tour. Sources have reported that Micah insisted that he was fit enough to compete, and went on to have a highly physical match against Lashley. It is believed that all three will be back to match fitness, as Impact Wrestling returns to the US.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Adding to an already busy schedule, Impact Wrestling added a number of smaller “House Shows” on the tour. As expected, all Champions retained their titles, but there were some interesting notes from the shows. Reports from those who attended suggested that The Kings of Queens were working heel on both shows. Whether this was due to the necessity of an unbalanced roster, or the company trying out a potential change of character for the pair is unknown, but with their booking in recent weeks, a turn would not be out of the question.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Since returning to the United States, Impact Wrestling have reportedly been in talks with a number of their current top stars, whose contract were allowed to run into the final month. Officially announced in recent weeks, were the extensions of Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards, as well as both members of The Kings of Queens. It is believed that Impact Wrestling are continuing the policy of offering one year rolling deals to talents, which - despite risks to long-term plans - keeps them fairly free to refresh the roster.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Less certain, is the future of Matt and Jeff Hardy, with latest reports suggesting that the legendary Tag Team have wrestled their final matches in Impact Wrestling. Both last used in potential “write out” angles, it is believed that the pair were informed that there would be negotiations, but communication has been minimal since the end of the Maximum Impact Tour. Defeated by Bram in their final matches, it was believed that the pair would build to a Slammiversary Tag Team match, with a partner of Bram’s choosing. It appears that plans have changed, with some suggestions that both parties have mutually agree to part ways. While a deal may still be cut, as of this writing, The Hardy Boys are no longer under contract with Impact Wrestling. Having been two of Impact Wrestling’s highest paid talents, some sources believed that looking to the future, the company felt the money could be better used elsewhere.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Returning to the United States, Impact Wrestling will this week broadcast a “Live Episode” from Orlando, Florida. This will be followed by a further two days of tapings, where the company will record a “One Night Only” pay-per-view. With the company looking to place an extra emphasis on these shows, it is believed that the specials will air at the end of the taped block, allowing a level of continuity from the shows to carry over into the next tapings. It is believed that the show will be an “X Division Tag Team Tournament”, featuring a number of outside talents. Another idea being bounced around is to introduce a “Television Championship”, which could be crowned at one of these shows, coming into effect at the next month’s television recordings. </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

Looking further forward, Impact Wrestling will use the tagline “15 Years of Impact Wrestling” to promote the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view. It is believed that the company are looking to confirm a venue in Nashville, Tennessee - the home of many of the promotion’s earlier shows - or Huntsville, Alabama - the place where it all started back in 2002. Rumours have already began circulating regarding the potential return of several former “TNA” wrestlers, with the company looking to give a special feel to the celebration.</span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">

This rivalry, between two men who have not seen eye to eye for some time, took on a new vigour at February's Genesis pay-per-view. With Bobby Roode just inches from taking the World Heavyweight Championship, Andrew Everett and Trevor Lee pounced, taking him out of contention. This attack had of course been orchestrated by Eddie Edwards, who was also gunning for the title in that same match. While Bobby Roode has been able to exact a level of revenge towards both Lee and Everett, he has been unable to secure a one on one match with Eddie Edwards. But of course, Drew Galloway isn’t here to fight, he’s just here to run his mouth. Well Bram’s heard enough, and he wants to fight right now! Having been kept out of action following his match with Sami Callihan in Birmingham, Rockstar Spud showed no signs of being deterred when it comes to taking on the biggest challenges in Impact Wrestling. Of course, he was facing one of the toughest men in the company, and very few men could match him. Vastly overpowered, Spud was soon at the mercy of Bram, who was brutal from the opening bell. Dismissive of his downed opponent, Bram lifted Spud from the canvas and threw him to the outside!</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Coming back into the ring, Rockstar Spud was immediately set upon by Bram who laid boots into his opponent. Refusing to stay down, Rockstar Spud battled to his feet and even began to build some offence of his own. While this was only a short spell, Spud was able to get the audience behind him. When Bram cut him off, Spud refused to give up, and struggled out of Bram’s grasp. From nowhere, Spud managed to pull out an Underdog, sending both men to the mat. Tony Carelli wondered if that would be enough, as Rockstar Spud crawled over to his opponent. Eventually making it to Bram, Spud draped an arm across his opponent. While Bram didn’t move, the referee spotted that his foot was already under the rope, from the initial impact of the move. style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Returning from the commercial break, Jeremy Borash is in the ring and performs the introductions for the match. We are told that during the break, Kurt Angle confirmed that he had spoken to Impact Wrestling management, who had ratified the request for the match to be changed to a three way. When the match begins, we see that one member of each team will be legal at all times, as opposed to the usual one member from two of the teams. As the bell rings, Harry Smith goes after Andrew Everett, but is taken down by BJ Myers. It then appears that Everett and Myers are going to work together, until Myers hits him with a right hand. Taking both competitors down, BJ looks to be in control, until he is in turn taken down by a double Clothesline.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> As originally scheduled, the fight is now between Harry Smith of K.E.S and Andrew Everett of “The New Wave”. Having caused Smith’s injury last month, Everett is aware of Harry’s revenge mission, and avoids him where possible. Eventually with Harry Smith finally cornering Andrew Everett, Trenton Lock is tagged in by his partner and rolls Harry Smith up, gaining a two count. Everett then comes at Lock from the second rope, taking him down with an impressive Hurricanrana. Andrew was then able to bring in Trevor Lee, and both men remained in the ring, laying into Smith and Lock. This infuriated Lance Hoyt, but in distracting the referee, allowed them to continue to bend the rules.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Now firmly in control, Trevor Lee enjoyed himself, ensuring that both competitors remained ground. Eventually, he hit the Standing Moonsault Fallaway Slam to Lock and covered him, gaining a two. As is often the case with matches like these, it is very difficult to maintain control, and the contest looked to be on the brink of breaking down on a number of occasions. When it eventually calmed down, Lance Hoyt was the legal man, along with Trevor Lee and BJ Myers. The freshest of the competitors, Lance Hoyt was able to use his power to keep the other men down. Soon, the two others began to work against him, and the match fell into a more back and forth, evenly contested situation.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> With the competitors growing tired, the match appeared to be coming to the end. As a result, the referee began to be more lenient with the rules. This led to the action going to the next level, with Andrew Everett and Trevor Lee diving to the outside, taking out both of The Kings of Queens. They then teamed up to take out Lance Hoyt, hitting him with a Total Elimination. They would then set up Harry Smith, looking to lay him out and set up for their high risk finish. Harry Smith began to fight out of it, and soon Lance Hoyt joined him in the ring. Lance hit a Big Boot to Trevor Lee and threw him to the outside. The pair then set up Andrew Everett - who had screwed them out of their last shot - for a Killer Bomb. They slammed Andrew Everett to the ground, and with no one in sight looked for the cover.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> However, before they could finish the match off, BJ Myers and Trenton Lock returned to the ring, seemingly from out of nowhere. Each carrying a Steel Chair, the commentators expressed outraged as both members of The Kings of Queens slammed their Chairs into the backs of Lance Hoyt and Harry Smith. Sending K.E.S down to the mat, Trenton Lock used his boot to roll both men out of the ring. As he did this, BJ Myers stole the victory, pinning Andrew Everett who had been taken out by the Killer Bomb. Such was the impact of the move, he was unable to kick out, and The Kings of Queens were the new Champions!</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Winners:</strong></div></div></div></div><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The Kings of Queens (in 11:05; </div></div></div></div><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>NEW World Tag Team Champions</em></div></div></div></div><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">)</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> In circumstances that would’ve appeared impossible just moments before the match, the late addition of The Kings of Queens had resulted in them becoming the new World Tag Team Champions! Using questionable tactics - which are nonetheless legal in a match like this - The Kings of Queens had embraced their true colours. As The Kings of Queens escaped up the ramp with the Championships, Todd Keneley commented that while they may have finally achieved their goal, they’ve done it at the expense of their good reputation.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Of course, this didn’t matter to BJ Myers and Trenton Lock, who gloat from the top of the ramp. Fully embracing the attitude that had been seeping through the cracks recently, The Kings show no remorse for the method of victory, as K.E.S watch on furiously! Tony Carelli adds that while there’s no doubt that K.E.S will be looking for revenge pretty soon, he’s sure that Myers and Lock are going to enjoy their moment in the sun. Having felt overlooked since their arrival in Impact Wrestling, The Kings of Queens reached their breaking point. While nobody will agree with how they did it, it is hard to deny that their decision to turn their back on fairness and integrity has ultimately paid off for the new World Tag Team Champions!</div></div></div></div></div></blockquote><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Returning to the second hour of Impact Wrestling, we see Jeremy Borash stood in the interview area. JB asks how Eddie intends to approach the match. Eddie laughs off the suggestion that he’s been avoiding Bobby Roode… he isn’t afraid of anybody, much less somebody like Roode. Eddie Edwards says that he’s stepped in the ring with Roode many times before, and everybody who has watched those matches knows that he is a level above. In fact, everybody who has seen both of them wrestle before would know that Eddie is a level above. Actually, it should only take one look - even if you’ve never seen Professional Wrestling in your life before - to realise that Eddie Edwards is “kind of a Big Deal” and Bobby Roode is yesterday’s news.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Tonight, they will finally go one on one - and Eddie knows just how bitter Roode is about what happened at Genesis - but when the night is over, Bobby Roode will have to accept that Impact Wrestling is all about Eddie Edwards. The last face the viewers see when the show goes off the air, is the face they see featured in the brand new opening titles, and that’s his. And when the new guys on commentary sign off on tonight’s show, they’ll be talking about Eddie Edwards and he’ll be there with his arm raised, smiling from ear to ear!</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> <hr>As JB send back to ringside, Tony Carelli comments on the confidence of Eddie Edwards and promotes a match between two of the most exciting former World Heavyweight Champions in Impact Wrestling today. Before Todd can add his two cents, the music of Michael Bennett begins to play. Making his way down to the ring followed by his wife, Michael Bennett takes a microphone. Todd Keneley notes that earlier tonight, Michael Bennett appeared to have something he wanted to get off his chest, and maybe now is the time he’ll do just that.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s158.photobucket.com/user/thetramp_photos/media/Impact%2017/Michael%20Bennett_zpsuarznob5.png.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/Impact%2017/Michael%20Bennett_zpsuarznob5.png</span></a><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><a href="http://s158.photobucket.com/user/thetramp_photos/media/Impact%2017/Maria_zpsvs5cgvgy.png.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/Impact%2017/Maria_zpsvs5cgvgy.png</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Michael Bennett says that tonight is a fresh start, a clean break. Not because we’re in Orlando, Florida, and not because we’re live on Pop TV, but because tonight is the night Michael Bennett said “enough is enough”. For too long, Michael Bennett has tried to play within their rules, for too long he tried to excel within somebody else’s guidelines, but tonight that changes! Because throughout the entire Maximum Impact Tour, he heard everybody and their mother talk about how he’s lost it, how Michael Bennett isn’t the same since he won the title. But he didn’t change, the game changed… at every corner he was screwed, and it’s true that he had a disastrous two months overseas, but that wasn’t down to him. Michael Bennett isn’t broken, the system is!</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> He asks the audience to take a step back, because that’s why he sees everything so clearly now. From the moment they landed at Dublin, the board was rigged. Because somewhere, some suit and tie idiot, who has never stepped foot in a wrestling ring, decided that Impact Wrestling needed a marquee match for Wembley. While anybody with a finger on the pulse could tell you that Michael Bennett was the man to take this company to the next level, our new “European Overloads” wanted a UK vs. UK showdown. Magnus returned just moments after Drew Galloway stole the Championship, and Michael Bennett knows that was no coincidence. He doesn’t know how deep the conspiracy goes, but he knows for certain that Kurt Angle knew everything. That’s why he didn’t travel, that’s why he kept a low profile for the past two months.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Maria then takes the microphone, saying that they see everything exactly as it really is now, and they lay the majority of the blame at one door. The reason that management have conspired against them… is all of these people! She heard them earlier, cheering Drew Galloway and she knows that whether it’s in the UK, or back here in the USA, the fans only respond to those who pander and kiss up to them. Their lives are so miserable, that the highlight of their week is somebody like Drew Galloway coming out and pretending to care about them. As far as Maria is concerned, they’re all pathetic.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Michael Bennett takes back over, saying that he doesn’t give a damn about them, because “The Power Couple” don’t need them. They have reigned over Impact Wrestling for 12 straight months, but the fact of the matter is, this “kingdom” is too small for them. This kingdom is corrupt to the core, and Michael Bennett no longer has the patience to follow their rules. Instead, Michael Bennett is forming his own establishment, where he rules the roost. Where Impact Wrestling management have zero power over the destruction of his career. Michael and his wife will reign as Monarchs of this new “Kingdom”, and all of these people will bow to them…</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Before Michael can continue on, the music of Tyrus begins to play, and the big man appears on the ramp. However, as he got close to Tyrus, the big man overpowered him, and Bennett was forced to rethink his plan. However, as he leant over to lift Michael Bennett up, MB crawled away from him, as a man - previously unseen in Impact Wrestling - entered the ring.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s158.photobucket.com/user/thetramp_photos/media/Impact%2017/Matt%20Taven_zps1zwgrind.png.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t112/thetramp_photos/Impact%2017/Matt%20Taven_zps1zwgrind.png</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Dropping to his knees behind Tyrus, the man hits a low blow to the 300 lbs+ monster, dropping him to the mat. Roode was able to power out of the move, and looked to come back at Edwards. Eddie was smart and fast, and managed to avoid Bobby Roode, once again dictating the tempo of the match. While Roode did get in some offence, it always seemed like Edwards was in control of the contest. That was until Roode fought out of a headlock from Eddie Edwards. Mounting a comeback, Roode hit a Double R Spinebuster to his opponent and began to rally the crowd behind him. With both men having taken a good amount of damage in the match, it appeared as though the end was in sight.</div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"></span></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> During the closing stages of the match, the two went back and forth, with a decisive moment coming as Roode looked to lock in the Sharpshooter. Eddie Edwards rolled up Roode, and despite only getting a two, the shock brought a greater intensity to the match. As Roode made it to his feet, Eddie Edwards threw a kick at him, who came back off the ropes and attempted a Clothesline. Edwards ducked the move, and took Roode down with a Leg Sweep. Edwards then ran to the ropes, attempting a Springboard Moonsault, only for Roode to get his knees up. Quickly transitioning into a Fisherman’s Buster, Roode looked to hit the move, but Eddie blocked it and went for his own version, which he calls the “Die Hard”. Roode managed to slip out of the back. As Eddie turned around, Roode hit another vicious Double R Spinebuster, but Eddie Edwards rolled to the outside. When Roode looked to bring Edwards back into the ring, Eddie hit him with a jumping Kick from the apron. This sent Roode stumbling into the middle of the ring.
