Rookie Question

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Sorry for what is probably a very basic question, but how do I upload dynasties with all of the photos and graphics that I see from others? The attachment option seems to just paste a link but other people have amazing images in their posts without links. Is there a requirement on format/size for it to work.

Thanks

<p>Hi, Thank-you for responding. Your post views as a link though still so someone looking at it would need to click the link to see that PB image. I've seen loads of guys post their dynasties where there are graphics, images etc all in the main body of the message making the presentation look awesome but without having to click any links.</p><p> </p><p>

Any ideas how? It's probably something really simple but I can't see how they're doing it.</p>

Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, but in order to post images, you can use the following tags: <span>link</span> and post a link the image from a hosted site in between the two html tags. Hope that helps. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I am not sure why you are seeing just a link. Maybe this is something a mod can answer because I have no clue either. Sorry.</p>

<p>It's forum coding, namely <span>web%20address%20of%20image</span> -- I use Photobucket to post my files, but it's a bit of a pain and the formatting takes me almost as long as the write-ups themselves.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm swapping to a new formatting for my WCW diary starting tomorrow that I'm hopeful will cut down on some of that time. Also going to start using tinyurl links to shorten some of the unwieldy Photoshop links.</p>

The first time I opened it there was just a link. No idea how it could change as I didn't do anything differently but maybe something to do with my browser settings perhaps.</p><p> Thank-you for your help I will give it a go later and see how it goes.</p>

<p>I may be completely wrong here but don't you have to a posted a few comments before you can post images? I'm sure I'm thinking of something else, might be getting confused with not being able to start a thread.</p><p> </p><p>

And following on from Kijar and blaustein it definitely can take time. Don't get me wrong, it often looks great but if the idea of posting 20+ images per show is off putting there are other ways. Plus plenty of good diaries have very limited pictures, or even none at all.</p>
