Again, we could debate Sting vs Flair as figurehead, but if Hogan was brought in with Flair's approval, exactly why should he have a morale hit? I mean he would have known that Hogan would become the main person because he was freaking Hogan.

And yes, Flair might not have been as good in 94 as he was in 84, but wrestling had changed in those 10 years too. He didn't have to bring it for 45-60 minutes 5 nights a week. But, was he at the point where fans noticed he wasn't as good anymore? I'd say not in 94. Certainly by 99 though as that final match with Sting in 01 was only good because Sting carried him. That's why I suggested 97 (plus not many people are going to get that far and if they do, Flair being on decline won't matter as Pillman/Austin/etc will be headlining things). Again, not a huge deal as he'll still be awesome on the just starting time decline.

Also, was Ric Flair really the figurehead of WCW before Hogan?

Just to highlight for you where some of the things might be considered condescending. Most of the complaints I've seen from you are critiquing very little minute things that in the scheme of the mod, don't really matter. If you don't like them the way they are set in the mod, change it yourself and play the game the way you see fit. I change several things to my personal liking in whatever mod I play. That isn't done as a knock on the mod maker, it's done because I have a different opinion on that particular thing set, or that's not the way I want my version of that mod to go. I also don't go jump on a message board when I see it and disagree with every little thing done on it. If it's something major that would potentially impact the stability of the mod, I'll mention something. If it's something really simple like worker relationships, I'll change it myself and move on.

Simply, yes, Flair was unquestionably the figurehead of WCW before Hogan. Flair would be pissed taking a backseat to anyone because he believed he was the best in the business.

Yes, Flair was on the decline by 1994. While still very good and better than the majority of the roster, he did not go like he did in 1984. By '94, Flair's matches were pretty routine and he didn't deviate much from his matches.

This is the last I'm going to talk about this as to not hijack this thread. If you have legit complaints on a mod, by all means, make them, but nitpicking, especially multiple times after your question's already been addressed, isn't necessary.

<p>All I'm going to say in response is there is a perfect quote from The Princess Bride that sums up your use of the word condescending. (And no, it is not the "My name is...prepare to die")</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Note:</span></strong> Below is just my general opinion and not directed at anyone personally.</p><p> </p><p>

As to editing someone else's mod willy-nilly and not having the decency to tell the mod maker or ask why something is the way it is, do you go up to your favorite author and say "Well, I loved your book, and I made it even better by removing 3 chapters and adding two of my own"? No, no you don't, and I'd be fully for passing a law that allowed the author to kick anyone who did that in the junk without any punishment because that's incredibly rude and egotistical. <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Note:</span></strong> I'm not talking about tweaking a stat here or there as that is totally subjective and unless you're bumping psychology up to 85, selling above 66, or give someone god mic skills, it doesn't matter at all. Seriously, it doesn't matter.</p><p> </p><p>

Mod makers spend months and months of their free time making a mod for maybe 50-75 people to enjoy for no payment, not even a free copy of the game. They look up tons of stuff to include to flesh things out. They also tend to work alone or with a few helpers which mean they might not realize something or miss it entirely all while dealing with a whole litany of changes from previous versions. If everyone just decides that X needs to be changed but never tells the mod maker, how in the hell is that person supposed to know? There are always around 30-40 mods for each version of TEW so if there is something that keeps people from playing the mod, it would be nice to tell the mod maker. You only get better from constructive feedback (non-constructive feedback is "Wrestler X is so much better than Wrestler Y why are his stats A and the others B? You suck.") </p><p> </p><p>

So please, everyone don't sit on any significant changes you make to any mod (not the game) unless it is just to make the game super-easy by making everything hunky-dory backstage or making everyone awesome. We should all want the best mods possible.</p>

<p>Big news (well, at least I consider it big) for the next release:</p><p> </p><p>

I have completely re-done the touring names from scratch, assigning real life tour names to almost all ingame touring companies to replace the silly default ones. That means that companies such as NJPW, AJPW, NOAH, FMW, GAEA, ZERO1 - you name it - will all use correct tour names (within the limits of the game).</p><p> </p><p>

I have so far done a total of 377 tour names, all based on tours or events held by actual touring companies. In comparison, the default game had 88.</p>

The link sends me to a Forum to sign up for?

I honestly thought it could be viewed without signing up.

Oh well, signing up is luckily just a few clicks with the mouse, as the site has social login.

It's the new home for my current and future mods. It's an entire forum dedicated to TEW modding and it gives me exciting new possibilities.

There seems to be an issue with Vader (don't know if it's intentional or not), but he has a written deal with WCW and a loan deal with UWFi... problem is, the loan deal never expires and he works for both. Even when renewing his contract as WCW, he doesn't leave UWFi. And his WCW contract can't be edited, since he has another contract and a loan deal can't be turned into something else...

Sounds like a bug in TEW.

<p>Anyone have tips for keeping workers from signing with WWF? Just lost Flair to them because they could offer more money, even though WCW is the richest company overall. Not sure why I can't outbid them.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, thanks for a such a great mod, Hive. It's such a fun time period to play, and you obviously have put a ton of work into this.</p>

Ric Flair and Vader, and I managed to keep both. I just offered them my max, threw in some signing bonuses, percenteses and what not. Maybe the Flair one was easy for me, 'cause he has loyalty for WCW, and then WWF usually backs off...</p>

<p>Wow, WWF are a serious elevator promotion... </p><p>

I'm in January 1995 atm., so I have played 7 months of game time. WWF starts at national, went up to International within the first two game weeks. They went back down to National, then back up to International, and now they're back to National. All within 7 months... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Because if you're owner, there is literally zero possibility that they can offer more money. The user and AI can only offer up to the same amount. If you're playing as booker, your owner can step in and stop you from spending money.</p>
