I split from the NWA everytime, unless I forget to, hehe...

But yes, it is a fantastic mod and a great starting point for ECW. I once managed to get the tag titles up to 100 prestige (most prestigious title), with Benoit & Malenko holding them.

I too, always by accident, often manage to have other titles than my world singles titles surpass it in prestige.

Only problem is the penalties you receive for putting on the "normal" matches, as the audience are turned off by low risk matches, and that includes the 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 and so forth. It can easily be fixed with the in-game editor, and I have spent some time, changing those matches from Very Low content to Low content to avoid the penalty.

Now, how about becoming hardcore without leaving the NWA?

I Only Just Left NWA As ECW (FEB 1996) after becoming 3rd in the World and a couple points away from National on the 1994 Hulkamania Extreme Edition

I just created new match types for every standard match, called 1 vs 1 ECW, 2 vs 2 ECW and so on, that's no DQ and no Count-out, with risk level gone up from Very Low to Low.

I have been modding TEW for ~8 years, beginning with TEW 2010. I love wrestling, I have loved the games and I have loved - in spite of much hardwork and frustration now and then - modding.

But less than a week ago, Adam Ryland created a public poll asking whether people were in favor of removing the following modding rule (pinned to this subforum):

If you want to use someone else's work, ask first. Most people are perfectly happy to let others use their work as long as they get credit, but please ask permission first rather than just assuming. If you use someone else's work without asking first, they are perfectly entitled to request that it be removed.

Unsurprisingly, the majority were in favor of a change (just as I'm sure the majority of Netflix users would be in favor in a poll asking whether they should get their súbscriptions for free). Some opposition arose, however, and Ryland shelved the proposition for now. His final words, before closing the thread, did make me believe that he still plans on imposing the rules, but will simply wait untill after people actually release their mods.

Back when TEW 2016 was first released, on one of the very first days, some guy converted my TEW 2013 1995 and released it as his own, even using the exact same name and exact same flavor text describing the mod. Under the current rules, this was fortunately shut down very fast. But with Ryland's proposed/planned change, a similar scenario would be acceptable. Which, to me, would be unacceptable.

Therefore, unless Ryland gives assurance to us modders that the rule change will not be implemented, I will not be releasing (or re-uploading) any more versions of my mods for neither 2016 nor 2020. This includes, but is not limited to, my July 1994 mod, my January 1995 mod and my September 1995 mod.

I know there are those who does not understand or agree with my viewpoint, and that's fine. We're all entitled to our opinions. But I kindly ask that people will refrain from turning this thread into another flame war, like what happened to the Mod Squad thread. I merely wanted to offer an explanation, I do not intend to re-start an argument.

Thank you for reading - and my apologies to those enjoying my mods.

Sorry the incredibly dumb noob question but I just found out about the TEW series today on steam and 16 on youtube watching a guy's series from 2016 today lol I'm really interested in this game and have looked around a lot on the forum. I have not even bought the game yet but have decided if I can play as ECW circa 1994/5 I would buy it. Incredibly long setup I know but 1. I was wondering if they are a part of this mod (based on backreading it is) and 2. With what appears some rules being changed recently from what I read on here can I still download your mod somewhere it would be just for me but 100% understand of its not available. Not here to cause a problem just really interested in this game and my favorite time in wrestling. Thanks man either way!

You can then buy the game if you like what's happening.
