How are people playing games with different eras / real wrestlers?

Ive checked the mods section and everything is a work in progress, but I still see people are playing WCW games or real life games from different eras.

How can I do that? I must be missing something, so any help appreciated.

The Golden Age is complete, its set in 1987 . Its in The Mod Squad thead. They are also most of the way through a 1997 mod.

Other people play other mods by converting Mods from TEW13 to TEW16. Some editing is needed when converting tho.

I think theres a 2016 real world mod complete aswell

Cheers for pointing that out to me.

I shall remain patient for a bit longer then <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> 1997 would be spot on for me.

And on top of that, it takes understanding of the in-game mechanics to "shape" the mod to fit TEW. Not everything can just be copypasted as is.

I've tried other people's mods with some of the older TEWs, but I've never really been satisfied with them, so it was with, I guess, TEW 2008 when I started doing my own stuff. It's time consuming and hard work, but I usually make it fun by doing some wrestling watching and studying while working on the mods. I've made 1993 with TEW 2008, 2010, 2013 and now I'm working on it with 2016, and I still learn new stuff about the world of wrestling in 1993. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

By no means am I putting other people's hard work down, by the way. Not at all. I've just noticed that my views on wrestling differ a lot from those of the majority of "internet fans", which the TEW fanbase consists of to a large part. So, I make my own stuff. I didn't think Ricochet vs Ospreay was a good match, I'm not crazy about Zack Sabre, Jr. or like the Young Bucks. You get the picture. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Especially now with the Network, it's easy to watch stuff, etc.

I usually make a "playable" bare bones mod at first, just so I can play the new game and have some fun, and then add stuff and more details, adjust, etc. at my own leisure.
