Jobbertrev
I'm curious as to what guys you have picked up throughout playing in the CVerse and what changes you made to them. In my '97 CVerse Game, I signed Andy Otto, he jobbed out for a few months. Realized I was never going to do anything with him. Put him in a Silver mask with a Red Cross on the face, and he started coming out to the ring as the "Ottoman Empire," where he slowed down his game and started taking out his opponents one limb at a time. His push started there. Same Game, Backyard Fed. My first and current champion (2 and a half year reign so far) was won by Roy Stephens. Although to my audience, he goes by Nirvana Stephens, He is a more grunge-less goth version of Raven pretty much. In my Present day Backyard Game, the MMA crossover guy that most of us Backyarders can afford is Christopher Ball. He debuted as "Stiff Work." I just love that name. It works. GilmourGuy
In TEW 13, I had a regional fed, working my way thru several years. I lucked into some great chemistry between Ash Campbell and Acid II. So I made them a tag team, put them in a stable with a "demon-type" leader (Scythe) and repackaged them as Ashes & Dust.
thecoolestjedi12
In 2013, with His years winding down and nothing else to do, I turned Sam Strong to the Soviet Side, called him Soviet Sam, it was a horrible rating because he couldn't work heel. Comradebot
I mean, there's a reason historical C-Verse mods now all refer to him as "The Alpha Norwegian"...

Wheelz316
High Concept (Elmo Benson and Groucho Bling) as the Cyberpunks. Also Had Jumbo Jackson and BJ Shearer as a Legion of Doom type tag team. My favorite character was turning Remmy Honeyman into ZomBee.
Captain Kayfabe
Repackaged Hell's Bouncer as "Hellspawn". Like the character and gimmick, but could never get into the name.
El Trabajador
I'm Currently Planning an N.W.O invasion at NOTBPW with CGC wrestlers, with Wolf Hawkins on loan from TCW and Marat and Greg Gauge, just thinking on who should be the Hogan, part of me is thinking Steve, but thats just too obvious, if anyone has a suggestion on who in the Main Event should be the Hulkster in this situation. Self
I once gave Rick Law a Vampiric gimmick. He became Lawbringer, a sexy modern vampire/cult leader with a coven of witchy concubines. I think J-Ro was in there, and it help kickstart the women's division when she broke free of Lawbringer's spell and he sent his other wives after her. Rayelek
I used to consistently turn Raphael into "Bullseye" Bryan Fletcher, using his real name and teaming him with "Marksman" Kirk Jameson. Despite being Canadian, I liked something about Taylor Kidd and brought him into USPW under a mask as The American Kidd, protoge and errand boy of Sam Strong. Probably others, but I'd have to check some old games.
The Celt
If I ever bring in Cal Sanders, I normally repackage him as "The Sandman" Cal Sanders, a wrestler who specialises in "putting his opponents to sleep", with techniques such as choke holds and sleeper holds.

In other games, I repackage Garrett Prince by playing up the fact he's from Maryland by making him a hired gun from Baltimore. An image make over helps:

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o291/Aidanbro111/BUSHIDO/GarrettPrince.png

Jomosensual
In TEW 2013 I repackaged Mighty Mo as Mohammed Barrett and turned him heel, paired him with Floyd Goldworthy, and sent him on a Mark Henry Hall of Pain run through my roster.

Also in 2013 I repackaged Nelson Callum as Curtis Austin, a follower of Eddie Peak. Eddie Peak won a new world title I made and was going to drop it to Callum after the split of my new Hellfire Club but my computer got wiped and I lost all the data my computer

In my current game I'm planning on repackaging Mathew Keith, KC Glenn, and El Mitico Jr. into a Shield like stable to run through a good part of my roster. All 3 of them are too good for me not to use and this is the best way I can think of to push all 3 at the same time. Keith and Glenn are going to stay pretty much the same other than getting a new gimmick but Mitico is going to lose his mask and get a new name.

One final one although this wasn't mine. My brother was playing TEW 2013 and had a large roster in SWF. Unfortunately, he also hired a lot of guys who got in trouble backstage. He got really sick of it after a while and when Nicolas Lopez had a bad interaction with a fan I think it put him over the edge. Instead punishing him he repackaged him as Jack the Stripper, who would act like a serial killer in his entrance with creepy music, which would then turn into club music and he would do a strip tease down to the ring. He was later joined in a stable called the New Age Oddities by The Grim Creeper(Brimstone), for being terrible backstage and bad at pretty much everything and Stoner Man(Rahmel Goode), for also being toxic backstage. He added about 3 more people to the stable eventually before we lost the data on our computer. Although some of these guys would have been better off in the unemployment line(Brimstone) I liked the idea of throwing people who were causing problems in a comedy jobber stable. I can just picture how it this would go in real life backstage. "Hey Kurt Laramee, you better behave or else I'll repackage you as a drunk yeti"
DevinTEW13
"The Franchise" Sean McFly was the moniker given to Sean McFly. McFly has very little when it comes to entertainment skills but he can wrestle like none other. I labeled him as the franchise and used him in a bit of a tweener role. I had him sparring verbally with Steve Decolt for about 8 long months with the occasional brawl and tag match in between. Needless to say he wasn't on decline and his entertainment skills were improving at a consistent rate where I could trust him in an angle on his own merit as a talker. It ended with Steve Decolt losing his title to McFly as McFly was the chaser. The way I played the storyline however was that McFly was cocky enough to tell the champ that he was too damn good to give Decolt the time of day, but he'd always intervene in Decolts business costing him matches and such. About two months in, I had Decolt challenge McFly and even agreeing to put the belt on the line but McFly being the franchise he told Decolt he decides when the title and where the title will be defended. This lasted another 6 months until McFly eventually beat Decolt clean proving to all of North America that he is indeed "The Franchise" Sean McFly.

Ah, the good ol days of tew2013.
hellboy2
Mine involves El Mitico and BB Colossus

I was playing Simply Awesome Wrestling, changed it to suit what I wanted, anyway, The Mysterious Ninja(Ota) shot a poison dart into El Mitico

He had a match against Ricochet Ramone and was being squashed until he fell to the apron in pain and went under the ring a little bit of cheap smoke and BB Colossus was in the ring and beat Ramone

its a Jeykll and Hyde gimmick, it doesn't happen every show but if he is suffering a major beatdown or is nearly losing he transforms

lavelleuk
Have loads of my current game but will mention a few from TEW13

Swoop McCarthy became "Swoop Dogg" a cliche rapper gimmick but I really like the name lol

Captain Wrestling II became "The wrestler hunter" Turner Crash, had his own Steve Irwin style show where he would have a camera backstage hunting his next target, would randomly jump guys like Remo to show off how powerful they were, even allowed himself to get beaten up so he could show his audience other wrestlers big moves. that was fun.

Citizen X became "Tim Grabowski" who was basically Jim Ignatowski from "taxi" he was found passed out by hero squad (Jungle Lord, Lobster Warrior, Rick Law & Captain Atomic) and they helped him into rehab and when they wanted to find him a job they decided wrestler as he was already addicted to drugs and liked punishing his own body. had lots of funny skits with them including getting his wrestler license and finding out he knew how to wrestle "oh yeah, that's right, I was a wrestler for 15 years"

Dawn the cheerleader became dawn the Secretary for hero squad

Matthew Keith and Greg Gauge were turned into a Frasier and Niles style brother tag team, with Matthew being the more dominant older brother and those two always falling out and arguing, Greg was jealous that Matthew was technically the first born etc

They're a few that stand out but had loads, they were the most fun to book though

Then I had the redemption storyline which ended up with a couple more world title reigns.
Winter8905
On TEW16 i tried out WLW.. Had Sir Winston Watonga be a detective and after a face wrestler had been assaulted and abducted he went on the hunt looking for clues, and facing opponents, mostly in comedy matches, to try and find out more information about the abduction. Half the time he'd end up annoying uppercarders and getting beaten. The clues he found backstage where just circumstantial but he'd find connections with everything.

It was fun little midcard story that could included anyone on the roster not doing anything and it gave him reasons to be in promo's with talented people or in the ring with over people.

It was a nice little spot for him to develop.

...............

For a Brief time on TEW13 I had Insane Machine have the gimmick of an actual Insane Machine, no selling certain moves, looking at opponents afterwards tilting his hd in confused manner then he would go insane and destroy people, it got over, and got him CZCW Championship with Mikey being the Face to try and find a way to overcome him.

Dr_Avalanche
I had Zoe Amiss join QAW with a soldier gimmick, becoming a body guard of sorts, a first line of defense for the reigning champion and total heel Jillian Jarvis. Amiss came in as a self righteous heel, but over her first year, she encapsulated the whole moral dilemma soldiers face when they start doubting if they're fighting for the right thing, boiling down to the moment when she rebels, refusing to do the dirty deeds for her leader, culminating in a title match which she wins clean and turn baby face to big ovations. KnowYourEnemy
Hm.. looking back at my USPW diary, I could probably include Jack "Extreme" Griffith or Lady Strong. But I have to put "Rough Justice" as the top one -- sort of a mix between Chuck Norris, Tommy Cornell and Stone Cold -- I used the character to run several inside jokes at Cornell's personal expense. He transitioned from a beloved Face to a Tweener and finally to a Heel in my personal favorite angle I've written.

Honestly, I usually don't write "characters" unless I'm writing a diary. It's more person A vs. person B in regular games.
