So...Changing Road Agent?

To push someone as a road agent you just need to change their push (and make sure you don't use autopush after that, or lock it in place.) To get someone to road agent a match you just need to select them in the booking screen -a randomly chosen road agent will initially be assigned to each match, but you can change to whoever you want.

Hmm.

Ok, there's a guy in my roster called the "road agent". Suppose I move him to Developmental.

Suppose I then take a wrestler and set his push to Road Agent.

When I go to the booking screen for an event, and try to auto-book, I get "you don't have a road agent so you can't do this."

So, let me ask the question this way: how do I set a road agent so I can still auto-book, assuming I get rid of my old road agent?

Okay. I tried to re-create what I think you're talking about.

Are you RUNNING THE SHOW while you're making a wrestler a road agent? Because you can't. You can't make a wrestler a road agent because there's an error that tell you you can't make an active wrestler into a passive worker in the PM part of the day, only before the show.

Ok, let's try asking this question a different way.

Suppose my road agent dies.

Can I get a slow and careful walk-through on setting a new road agent?

(Hint: just setting the push of a wrestler as "Road Agent" does NOT do it).

On your roster page click Filter. On the all the way right side under where it says "Skills and Overness" the first drop down box will say "I'm looking for" and go to "A Road Agent". It'll tell you if anyone on your roster can work as a road agent.

If so, change their push to road agent. Then to prevent auto push from removing them as an agent, click Auto Push. A list of your workers will pop up. Find the guy you just made a road agent and click the check box next to his name and then click "Auto Push" and it'll make him exempt from auto push and stay a road agent.

If you need to hire a road agent, go to the characters screen. Under scouting change "I'm scouting for" to "A Road Agent" and the box that says "to view" to "to hire".

Offer someone with high psychology a contract and where it says "your role on the roster will be" change it to "be exclusively a road agent."

No one knows what you're talking about, and every time you post it becomes more and more confusing. So unless you have discovered a rare glitch in the game, I have no idea how it could be any simpler.

Now I just think you changed someone's push to road agent and never clicked "Save".

I'm having zero issues. I click on their push, scroll down to road agent, click save, and boom, they're set.

Are you saving the change or just clicking close? Are you autopushing afterward without checking their name to make sure they don't change back to a wrestler/announcer/manager?

Maybe I just didn't save multiple times in a row, or kept doing it right before the show (my bad, if so). Oopsie, maybe.

I'll post a screen shot next time.

Ok, let's see if I can attach pics and they are visible.

I'll probably be called a stupid moron troll, and I'm doubtless incapable of indicating the concept, but I claim that if you look at the word "roles", you'll see "Road Agent".

Let's go to another post (it seems there's a 1 pic per post thing here)

Ok, so I get rid of that road agent (because he has really low psychology, and that's hurting my matches).

I make Dark Angel (psych 100) a road agent.

Here's the pic:

<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_06/Darkangel.jpg.a943d54f53bbe938edecf301baac6e1f.jpg" data-fileid="3135" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3135" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="Darkangel.thumb.jpg.8b8348333a82874697d87d99b479ad82.jpg" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2022_08/Darkangel.thumb.jpg.8b8348333a82874697d87d99b479ad82.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Again, I'm sorry I'm not able to indicate this well, but I claim that after the word "roles" is the word "wrestler."

Yes, I've changed his Push to "Road Agent", but thing is, and I'm sorry for saying this, but much of what goes on in wrestling is fake. Some guy might have a push of, say, "Authority Figure" while in fact not actually be an authority figure, despite what the push is.

Anyway, I seem to have Dark Angel working as a road agent (despite his role as wrestler for the time being). I hope, anyway.

I am sorry for going way beyond my ability to communicate.

Don't push active wrestlers as the road agent. They will become unhappy over time because they are not being used as an active wrestler. When booking a match, you can still use him as the road agent, just don't push him as such.

If you want to hire a road agent, filter by "Style: Never wrestles", "to hire" and then go with the worker with the highest psychology (high respect doesn't hurt, either, but is not as important as psychology). By doing this you'll find retired wrestlers who won't be unhappy about being pushed as a road agent.
