4C Presents...Wrestling Showcase

April 2017, Week 2

Attendance: 3200

St. Catharine's Arena (Ontario)

Show Rating: C

http://i.imgur.com/axhnpmE.jpg

The night opens with Hugh de Aske standing in the ring like the last show started.

de Aske: "Last week, Edd Stone ducked me and my chance to win back the 4C Championship by taking on a guy who wrestled in a Tag Team match earlier in the night. This week, he's somehow booked to face another tag-team specialist. He seems to be trying to avoid taking on a real challenge. While, Eddy, I challenge you again this week to a rematch. Face me instead of Clutch McKane in the Main Event."

http://i.imgur.com/PaknY2u.jpg

Edd Stone's music hits and he struts out on the stage again. He's loving the crowd reaction.

Stone: "Oh, Hugh Hugh Hugh. I know you think you're some kind of big deal here. Well I'm out here to let you know just how small of a deal you are! You think you're owed something because you lost this belt to me? Man, you are owed nothing! The whole reason I'm here is to bring this company forward into the future, and to bring the 'Edd Stone' star power to matches with lesser talents. So enjoy your match against that old chump Sayeed Ali tonight, because you're not getting another shot at this Title yet."

The crowd boos Edd, as he starts to walk backstage. He pauses, and turns around.

Stone, addressing the crowd: "And you all can take your chants and your boo's and shove them up your ***. You're only here to see me, and we all know it." Stone drops the mic and struts off the stage, leaving the crowd and de Aske fuming.

Mosher v. TJ Bailey

The first match of the night is the young Mosher versus the vet TJ Bailey. Bailey starts off strong, and the vet uses some trickery, but soon the young rocker gets momentum. He hits his signature 'Head Banger', and gets the pinfall victory.

Winner: Mosher w/ a Head Banger (pinfall)

Marcel LeFleur © v. Zak Attack

LeFleur controls the majority of this match, except for a small portion when Attack hits some risky high-flying maneuvers. LeFleur is able to regain control with a low blow though, and locks Attack into a 'Parisian Chickenwing' for the tap out victory.

Winner, and still 4C Hardcore Champion: Marcel LeFleur w/ a Parisian Chickenwing (submission)

The Stone Cold Killers © v. Avalanche Takano & JvP

The Stone Cold Killers come in with lots of swagger, taking their time coming down to the ring. Takano and JvP meanwhile are all business as they await their opponents. The Killers take some offense to JvP, and seem on the verge when JvP gets away and tags in Takano. Takano runs through Jay Becker, bringing chaos to the ring. He gets Becker up holds him in the air while tagging in JvP and hits Becker with a 'Mountain Takano' as JvP hits him with an 'Axe Kick' off the top rope. JvP covers for the pinfall win! New Champions!

Winners, and NEW 4C Tag Team Champions: Takano & JvP w/ a Mountain Takano into an Axe Kick (pinfall)

Rating: D-

Takano & JvP celebrate in the ring, and the fans are going crazy when the lights go out. When they come back up the men are surrounded by the New Era.

http://i.imgur.com/PaknY2u.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/6yLPigo.jpg

Takano and JvP take a beating from the four men, as the New Era are clearly upset at their first loss in 4C.

Frankie Dee v. Morgan Malone

Frankie Dee is coming into the event on a roll, having put down Ozzie Golden three straight events, but he's still nursing a sore left shoulder. Malone on the otherhand seems driven. Dee looks strong early and seems to be closing in on victory when Malone cheap shots him with an eye scrape. Malone then takes control and starts targeting Dee's shoulder. Dee's clearly in pain, when Malone hits him with not one, but two 'Malone in the Dark's'. He gets the three-count.

Winner: Morgan Malone w/ a Malone in the Dark

Rating: C-

Malone continues to attack Dee after the match, targeting the shoulder over and over. Security comes out, and tries to get in between Malone and the clearly injured Dee. Malone gets Dee up one final time and hits him with a 'Burning Hammer'. Malone walks off, as the medical crew comes out to tend to Dee. He's not moving, and they bring out the stretcher. They take him out, unconscious, as the audience holds it's breath.

Chris Flynn & Too Hot v. Eric Blackley & Nathaniel Ca$ino

The two heels put up a lot of fight, and even seem to injury Flynn's ribs with a double 'Flying Vertical Splash' as Ca$ino seemed to mistime his landing. Flynn manages to get Blackley in a 'Flynn-Lock' in the corner though, and tags in Too Hot who hits his 'Heat Seeking Missile' on the downed Blackley for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Chris Flynn & Too Hot w/ a Heat Seeking Missile (pinfall)

Ozzie Golden v. Lightning Lomas

Lightning Lomas seems pretty excited to be getting another shot at single's wrestling, and puts in some solid work on Golden. Golden still hasn't looked right, and seems on the verge of losing again, when he finally starts to get his offense going. Once he's flowing, Lomas can't stop him and Golden hits Lomas with the 'Golden Shower'. 1! 2! 3!!! Golden's got a win!

Winner: Ozzie Golden w/ a Golden Shower (pinfall)

Hugh de Aske v. Sayeed Ali

Sayeed Ali and Hugh de Aske have a history, with de Aske getting the last victory. Ali hits some big moves, taking some risks and gets de Aske with a 'G.B.H. Driver'. 1! 2! But de Aske kicks out! Ali's in shock. He pulls de Aske up, and seems to be setting him up for another 'G.B.H. Driver', when de Aske hits him with an uppercut, followed by a 'Cut-Throat Driver'. He gets the three count for the win!

Winner: Hugh de Aske w/ a Cut-Throat Driver (pinfall)

Edd Stone © v. Clutch McKane

Edd Stone is in another class, and he puts on a show with McKane. Clutch looks good in moments, but it's pretty clear Stone's in another class. Edd wows the crowd with lots of high-flying moves again, and lands his 'Party's Over' to get the pin.

Winner, and still 4C Champion: Edd Stone w/ a Party's Over (pinfall)

Rating: C

While he celebrates in the ring, really playing up his victory. He asks for a mic.

Stone: "See! I made Clutch McKane look good! How many people can say that? Well, I'll tell you who couldn't: Hugh de Aske! And that's why I'm the Champ and I'm going to stay the Champ for a very, very long time. Get used to it! The New Era is here to stay!"

There's lots of rumours flying out of 4C headquarters. First is word on the events of last weeks surprising turn of events with Frankie Dee in his match with Morgan Malone. There’s been lots of rumours about whether Frankie Dee’s injuries were real or for storyline reasons. Well today we have an update.

http://i.imgur.com/yr7qy3m.jpg

We’ve learned that Frankie Dee is leaving 4C after signing an exclusive Written deal with competitor NOTBPW. There were some hurt feelings from 4C owner Troy Winner, but the current head booker helped smooth things over given Dee’s ten years of service in the company. Dee apparently was more then willing to get someone over as he left, and Malone was a surprising, but inspired choice.

http://i.imgur.com/vYZGsgQ.jpg

Rumours continue to fly that Ozzie Golden isn’t happy about how he’s been booked since Edd Stone signed with 4C. The two have apparently clashed backstage, with Ozzie holding a lot of resentment for Edd stealing what was thought to be his spot as the leader of the New Era.

http://i.imgur.com/BYOrk8O.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/BYOrk8O.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/BYOrk8O.jpg

We also got word that three new signings are set to debut at the End is Near. From what we’re told one is a lower card talent, one is a manager and the other is a Main Event talent set to leave TCW to work for both CGC and 4C! Who these mystery talents are we don’t know yet, but we’ll all be speculating I’m sure. And who will this new manager figure mentor?

Stone Cold Killers v. Bailey & McKane

Bailey and McKane tag team enhancement talent. Plus, Face Champs need a Heel Challenger.

Morgan Malone v. Robin Newman

Squash.

JvP & Avalanche Takano © v. Shiva & Fuller for the 4C Tag Team Championship

JVP won't lose the first defense to two jobbers.

Marcel LeFleur © v. Jesse Gilbert for the 4C Hardcore Championship

No, because Gilbert sucks eggs.

Too Hot, Jason Thunder, Zak Attack & Austin Smooth v. Eric Blackley, Nathaniel Ca$ino, Joe Gilbert & Mosher in a 4x4 Elimination Match. Who will be the last man standing? Going to go with Dere... I mean, Eric B. Yeah, that guy who smuggles Dragoni... I mean Armadillo!

Hugh de Aske v. Leftie Wilkes

Squash.

Ozzie Golden v. Intrepid Ian Identity

Ian Decolt doesn't have this one -- maybe if Ozzie lost last week.

Edd Stone © v. Lightning Lomas for the 4C Championship

I'd say this could be competitive but Lomas lost last week. My guess is that you're building Ozzie for this spot, but I'm not too sure.

http://i.imgur.com/PaknY2u.jpg

The night opens with the Champion, Edd Stone, standing in the ring with the title and a microphone.

Stone: "Welcome, you sheep, to another night of Edd Stone's 4C Wrestling!" The crowd boos, and chants of chicken**** start up again. "Ah, yes, the ever popular chicken**** chants. We'll, lets settle that one right now shall we? Hugh de Aske, get your @** out here."

http://i.imgur.com/axhnpmE.jpg

Hugh de Aske's music hits and he comes out slowly to the top of the ramp. He's focused entirely on Stone.

Stone: "Well hello, Hughey-boy! Thanks for coming down. Now these good people here seem to think I'm scared to face you. Well, Hugh, there is nothing further from the truth. The fact of the matter is you're beneath me. There's no need to fight you, ever again, because I've already shown I am the better man and the better wrestler."

The crowd boos Edd, as Hugh starts to stomp towards the ring, clearly ready to stop Edd's yammering.

Stone: "Whoa, whoa, whoa there Hughey-boy! I'm not done. Despite what I just said, I'll give you another shot at me AND this belt."

The crowd erupts, and Hugh's clearly pleased to finally get his shot at reclaiming the 4C Championship. He starts to make his way to the ring again, but Edd Stone holds up his hand.

Stone: "Wait, did you think I meant now? Hahaha... that's not happening! You'll get your shot, but not until No Limits! You'll have to wait until then for me to kick your ***!"

The lights cut out at this point and when they come back up the ring is empty, save the trademark 'THE NEW ERA IS HERE' spray painted on the canvas over the 4C logo.

Stone Cold Killers v. Bailey & McKane

The crowd is still buzzing from how the show started, and McKane & Bailey feed on that in the first bout of the night. They both look great against the former tag champions, but Malik Cash hits Bailey with a chair when the refs distracted by Jay Becker, then Becker is tagged in and hits McKane with a 'Rocket Launcher' to get the pin.

Winners: Stone Cold Killers w/ a Rocket Luancher (pinfall)

Morgan Malone v. Robin Newman

Robin Newman is clearly scared to be in the ring with Malone after Malone's vicious match last week against Frankie Dee that ended Frankie's career in 4C. Malone seems like a man possessed, and bulls over Newman from the start. Newman tries to fight back, but can't even make Malone flinch. The match is over quickly, as Malone hits his 'Malone in the Dark', but instead of pinning the clearly hurting Newman he picks him up and hits him with a 'Burning Hammer' for good measure. He gets the three count, and walks slowly up the ramp as the medical team comes out to tend to the clearly injured Newman.

This match should have been a good showing, but it was clear from the start that Jesse Gilbert had mailed in his performance. He barely sold most of the moves, so LeFleur sped up the ending and got him in a Parisian Chickenwing. Even that he undersold, giving a light tapout.

Too Hot, Jason Thunder, Zak Attack & Austin Smooth v. Eric Blackley, Nathaniel Ca$ino, Joe Gilbert & Mosher in a 4x4 Elimination Match

All eight men start in the ring to a pretty listless crowd thanks to Joe Gilbert's brother's performance, but soon they get drawn into the exciting match as all eight men brawl. First man out is the newcomer, Austin Smooth, who's eliminated by Nathaniel Ca$ino with a 'Double or Nothing'. Meanwhile, Mosher eliminates Zak Attack after a 'Head Banger', only to be eliminated by Jason Thunder with a 'Thunder Struck'. Gilbert and Ca$ino team up on Jason Thunder, and soon he's pinned, eliminating him. This leaves Too Hot alone against the three heels. Too Hot goes big and lands a 'Heat Seeking Missile' off the top rope on all three, and manages to role onto a disorriented Ca$ino for the pin. He then gets Joe Gilbert in a figure four and gets the tapout. Blackley has recovered though, and presses Too Hot hard, but the wiley vet is able to pull out a fast rollup, followed by a dropkick and then his signature 'Heat Seeking Missile' for the win.

On the big screen we can see the backstage area, as Sayeed Ali works out in the gym. He's doing his best to mean mug to the camera, when Chris Flynn comes in behind him and starts lifting twice what Sayeed is currently lifting. Sayeed isn't happy to be one upped. He attacks Flynn, and a brawl breaks out. Security eventually comes to break up the fight, but the two men are still exchanging nasty words even as they're pulled apart.

Hugh de Aske and Leftie have tangled before, and while Wilkes hangs with de Aske, Hugh's just a better wrestler at this point. It's a good match, but Wilkes can't get do enough, and de Aske finishes him with a 'Cut-Throat Driver'.

Ozzie Golden looks like a different man then he did his first few months in the company, and he takes the fit to the newcomer. He pulls out some impressive offense, and it seems like Identity is about to take a loss in his debut, when Identity lands a desperate headbutt. This buys him some space, and angers Golden who charges at Identity only to miss him and hit the ringpost behind him. Ian takes advantage, and hits Golden with an 'Identity Theft' before rolling on top of him for the pinfall victory. He's done it! He won in his debut over Ozzie Golden!

Winner: Intrepid Ian Identity w/ an Identity Theft (pinfall)

Rating: D

Ozzie Golden sits dejected in the ring as Ian Identity celebrates. The fans are popping for the newcomers unexpected victory when new music hits. Who could this be? The music sounds distinctly like the jaws theme, but with rap laid overtop of it. Identity is staring at the stage when a giant of a man slides in behind him in the ring.

It's Killer Shark!!! The crowd blows up for the former TCW wrestler, and Identity seems to sense the 430 lbs. of muscle behind him. As he turns, Killer Shark hits him with a spear. The crowd goes even crazier Killer Shark then picks him up effortlessly, then hits him with his 'Big Bite'. The man monster then stomps away as the arena continues to go nuts.

Edd Stone © v. Lightning Lomas

For the first time since he's been in 4C, Edd Stone is challenged as Lightning Lomas puts in some early offense and takes the upperhand. The crowd can smell an upset, and they get behind Lomas, and Lomas gains even more energy from them. He even gets Stone up for an 'Exploder', but Stone eye rakes Lomas and gets dropped. He takes the opportunity to land a spinning kick, before hitting the stunned Lomas with a 'Party's Over'. 1! 2! 3!

Winner, and still 4C Champion: Edd Stone w/ a Party's Over (pinfall)

Rating: C+

Stone celebrates pretty hard, and is seeming pretty happy with himself. He asks for a mic... "Next show, Hughy-boy, you'll get your own 'Party's Over'. And I'll bring this party to another level!"

Except for the stabbing jealousy that you somehow got Edd Stone in your company and I haven't. Personally, playing as smaller companies has always been frustrating to me (Looking at you, CZCW games)
Either way, I concur with Hero: Keep up the good work, and go team Canada (andallthat)

Thanks for the kind words.

As for Edd Stone, I couldn't believe it when he actually signed with us. I thought for sure once he was a free agent he was a lock for one of the bigger companies. Yet he choose us at first, so he took over what I'd planned for Ozzie Golden and opened up way more opportunities for storylines.
