Battle of Los Angeles 2016 Day 2 Results

The show opens with the crowd cheering as loud as ever as Taz stands in the middle of the ring with a bag in one hand and a microphone in the other. Once the crowd quiets Taz lifts the microphone up to his mouth ready to talk. "It has been three months since I took over this company and promised to implement changes, and start Guerilla Warfare on the Wrestling WORLD! Well tonight we take two big steps towards that! First, I think to be a competitive company in this business you have to have something for your guys to fight for that isn't the World Title, and sure the DDT4 tourney and this tournament are all great Shows and things to fight for but..." Taz opens up the bag and grabs a title belt out of it slinging it over his shoulder. "I think this is kind of what we need. A title that will help elevate those who maybe are not quite ready for that world title shot, but do deserve a belt to fight over! So I present to you the brand new, Pro Wrestling Guerilla North American Championship! The first champion will be crowned next month!"

The crowd cheers and chants "PWG!, PWG! PWG!" Taz holds up his hand and the crowd quiets again. "The second thing I have to say is that tonight we see the conclusion of the Battle of Los Angeles 2016 tournament! What has already been a vigorous tournament, now concludes in an epic match that will lead to I'm sure one of the best shows Pro Wrestling Guerilla has ever put on!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What started off as a really hot show slowly tumbled as people got hurt. Adam Cole got a Elbow MCL Sprain in his first match, Roderick Strong sprained his foot in his semi-final match. Just unfortunate because it dragged down the end of my show, and my whole show. I don't think the overall show rating does justice to the great show that was put on. Through out the tournament we have had several injuries.

Shawn Daivari vs Kyle O'Reilly vs Tommy End vs ???

PWG North American Championship Match

The show will start off with a contest sure to impress. With Taz introducing a new mid level title last month, and guaranteeing there will be a holder crowned this month, he is sure to look at all the men in this match as future main event stars. Shawn Daivari looks to improve his space in the company after a tough first round loss last month at Battle of Los Angeles. Kyle O'Reilly's spot in the roster is tough to judge after a great match against the eventual champion of BOLA '16 he looks to prove he could have gone much further. Tommy End was eliminated in the second round by eventual champion Marty Scurll and feels he has a lot more to offer after a close match. We will also see the debut of someone that Taz feels will someday be something special.

Who will win this brand new title and start it's run to glory?

Unbreakable F'n Machines vs World's Cutest Tag Team

PWG World Tag Team Title Number 1 Contenders Match

After a tough loss last month to the Young Bucks the World' Cutest Tag Team, Joey Ryan and Candice Larae, look to again earn a shot at the titles. The Unbreakable F'n Machines, Brian Cage and Michael Elgin, stand in their way. Which team will get their shot at the titles next month?

Brian Kendrick vs Ricochet

High-Flying Debut Match

Brian Kendrick makes his return to Pro Wrestling Guerilla to take on one of the best independent talents and someone who was considered a sho-in to win BOLA this year, Ricochet. Both men known for their high flying styles are sure to put on a match for the ages tonight.

Matt Hardy vs Jay Lethal

PWG North American Title Number 1 Contenders Match

Matt Hardy has been rumored to be leaving the company after this match, but that could all change with a win, and Jay Lethal looks to continue a strong run in the company with a shot at a title after losing in the semi finals at BOLA. With careers with PWG on the line as well as a title shot, who will pull out all the stops to get the win?

Death By Elbow vs Total Control vs The Young Bucks

PWG World Tag Team Championship Match/Semi-Main Event

Death By Elbow, Chris Hero and JT Dunn, and a strong showing last time they faced the Champs and looks to be even stronger and wrestle the titles away from the champions this time around. Total Control, Cody Rhodes and Drew Galloway, look to earn titles after both doing well in singles competition at BOLA '16. Will they be able to take the titles from the Young Bucks who are looking at setting a record for the length of this title reign? Or do the Buck have something up their sleeves?

The Leaders of The New School vs Mount Rushmore 2.0

Main Event Match

The Leaders of The New School say this will be a one time team up, as it was mandated by the owner, TAZ. With Marty Scurll having a title match next month against Zack Sabre Jr. will the two be able to keep it together or will they implode in the middle of the ring? Roderick Strong and Adam Cole have proven themselves a well oiled, if not dysfunctional, team. Can they pull out a win against the champion and his number one contender and put themselves in line for a shot at the gold?

Lio Rush vs Trent ?

Hot Opener

Lio Rush has had a good showing here recently in PWG. Lio is seen in the eyes of the management as a future top star just needing some grooming. While Trent has had the bad luck of having his tag team partner injured in the midst of run towards the titles. Will these men use this opportunity to shove themselves into the light, or will they flouder into the background?

Death by Elbow vs The Young Bucks

PWG World Tag Team Championship Match

Death By Elbow is cashing in their shot at the tag team titles the very next month feeling they can pull out a win against the Bucks. But the Bucks have been on a roll the past couple of months and don't look to slow down anytime soon. Can Chris Hero and JT Dunn earn championship gold? Will The Young Bucks keep streaking towards a record title reign?

Michael Elgin vs Brian Cage

Revenge Match

Last month we saw the Unbreakable F'n Machines face the Young Bucks in a losing effort for the World Tag Team titles. After the match Brian Cage put Michael Elgin through a table to seemingly end the team in their tracks. Elgin went to Taz and demanded a match against the man who he thought of as a close friend, and Taz has granted it, allowing the match to take place this month.

Brian Kendrick vs Candice LeRae vs Joey Ryan vs Sami Callihan

Fatal Four Way North American Championship Number One Contender

Special Guest Announcer: Kyle O’Reilly

All four of these superstars have been in a slump and the World's Cutest Tag Team are going to be facing off here in this tough fatal four way. Brian Kendrick is looking to make an impact again in his career, and this could be it. Candice LeRae is taking her shot at becoming a singles champion in a male dominated company, possibly earning her way to a PWG World Championship match. Joey Ryan is in for some fun in this match as he looks to earn a shot at Kyle O'Reilly a man he has been having problems with backstage. Sami Callihan stormed back on to the indy scene with the promise to bring back every title he could into his possession and sees this as just a stepping stone to do so. Plus North American Champion Kyle O'Reilly will be at the announce desk during the match to scout his future number one contender.

Jimmy Havoc vs Tommy End

Grudge Match

Last month Jimmy Havoc made his return to wrestling and PWG debut when he cost Tommy End his match and then continued the attack after the match. Both Men look to make big impacts here, but Tommy End looks for revenge as he fights Jimmy Havoc this month hoping to rid himself of the man forever. But can Jimmy Havoc make a lasting impact here?

Rhino vs Jimmy Rave

Semi-Main Event

Rhino Debut Match

Rhino made his debut in dominate fashion last month hitting a massive Gore on PWG World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. This month he is in a match against long time friend and rival Jimmy Rave in a match that is sure to tear the house down. Will Rhino keep up a dominant showing or can Jimmy Rave tame the Man Beast?

Zack Sabre Jr. vs Jay Lethal

Main Event

PWG World Heavyweight Championship Match

Jay Lethal won a 60 minute Scramble last month to earn his shot at Zack Sabre Jr. Jay Lethal is the current Ring of Honor World Champion and looks to add another championship to his list of honors. But Zack Sabre has kept a firm hold on the PWG World Heavyweight Championship and will of course look to do the same this month. But will he be able to concentrate with his partner and last months challenger to his title, Marty Scurll at ringside.

In The News!

In The News Monday Week 3 January 2017

*Zack Sabre Jr. has been released from the hospital today. After an attack last month by Marty Scurll at PWG! Sabre Jr. was hospitalized with four bruised ribs and strained neck. Sabre has not been cleared yet for competition but is home and promises to be at PWG Card Subject to Change 2017.

*Taz has began to simmer tensions backstage with multiple top stars for the company. Nick and Matt Jackson along with Joey Ryan and Candice LeRae have been heard on multiple occasions talking down about the owner and head booker of PWG. Will any of these men or woman step up and leave the company or will they be content to grumble backstage. This all seems to stem from an incident in which Candice LeRae showed up an hour late to last months show and argued with Taz over a fine. All four wrestlers came into an argument over the fine that Taz handed out to LeRae and things haven't simmered since.

*New PWG Superstars Lio Rush and Fred Yehi have joined forces as the Violent Playboys teaming up in CZW, ROH, and PWG! The two young guns have made big waves having challenged for both the ROH and CZW World Tag Team Championships, failing to capture either. Will these two push themselves as the futures of PWG or will their highly entertaining team fall apart?

*Roderick Strong has been out of Ring of Honor for almost a year now and with no signs of looking back has been offered a pay per appearance deal by WWE NXT. Roddy promises to keep up bookings outside the company but will look to be signed full time by the WWE in the near future.

*Chris Hero and JT Dunn, PWG World Tag Team Champions, can now also call themselves AJPW World Tag Team Champions. The dual champions will see their schedules fill in the coming months. Will they continue to dominate the World Tag Scene, or will they be crushed under they pressure.

*In other news John Cena has been released by WWE after making a plethora of Racist remarks on a public radio broadcast. Cena's light has faded considerably after the remarks and surely no company will be looking to sign him after the very public release. Cena was said to have been made an example in front of the WWE Locker Room by Vince McMahon before being escorted out of Madison Square Garden by security.

*Glenn Jacobs has confirmed that he will not be continuing his career with WWE after refusing a contract with the company stating difference in opinion on direction of his character. With still a month left on his contract nobody is sure how he will be used by the WWE but surely after a long prolific career with WWE he will be able to bow out gracefully.

DDT4 2017 Results

As the show begins Taz is seen in the ring as the crowd boo's and tosses trash into the ring. He smiles and lifts the microphone up to his mouth still ready to talk. "Ladies and Gentleman, tonight at Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament we see the formation of The ELITE! For the first time these men will be in a ring together officially a unit under my command." Prelude 12/21 hits the ring speakers as Marty Scurll, Rhino, Chance Prophet, and Jimmy Havoc make their way down to the ring. Each man rolls into the ring climbing into a corner raising their hands into the air before each making an E with their left hand and hoping down. The all surround Taz as he laughs. "Ladies and Gentleman, THE ELITE will take over Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and the first step is putting the world title around the waist of Marty Scurll! So after Sabre has faced off against Roderick Strong next month, if he wins there he will face Marty Scurll in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match!"

Dang I was pretty close. A problem I had is that the teams that aren't established in the real world, you put their new names up here and I have no clue on some of the guys. I'm pretty well versed and was still drawing a blank.

yeah, I have been trying to make sure I list the members of the teams inside the descriptions of the match, also so many of the wrestlers that were on the roster have been getting injured or getting into trouble, or just not wanting to re-sign when their contracts end that I have to keep influxing new talent so have to keep innovating.
