End of month miscellaneous expenditure

What Misc expenditures are assessed at the very end of the month (i.e. Sun Wk 4 -> Mon Wk 1 advance)? For the last few months game time I've been at my usual 3-5 K Misc expenses but at the end of the month it jumps up to anywhere between 55 and 150 K. Things like travel and bonuses appear to be assessed as they're paid out as expected, so what could I be doing that's dumping out large amounts of cash at the very end of each month?

More seriously, I believe it covers things like office rent, phone bills, and other stuff that goes on behind the scenes but that has to be accounted for.</p><p> </p><p>

Also - and I'm not 100% certain about this - but I think that any recurring drug testing you have set up goes under the Misc tab.</p>

<p>I believe it's random within a wide range, though limited by your companies size. It represents literally everything involved in running a business that isn't elsewhere itemized. The randomization represents the nature of unexpected expenses, or possibly expected, just not represented. For example:</p><p>

Unexpected: the air conditioner breaks at the office, a foreign worker has visa problems your company needs to pay to sort out on time, the state athletic commissioner unexpectedly shows up at one of your events and you suddenly need to hire paramedics and buy mats for ringside.</p><p>

Expected but not represented: Renting limozeens and private jets for the Four Horsemen, the yearly purchase of a large volume of cheap, easily breakable tables, Ted Debiase's stipend for keeping kayfabe alive in public.</p><p>

It's up to you to decide what these expenses represent. Be creative, have fun with it.</p>

Wasn't Misc. also tweaked to avoid companies from getting too much money too fast? Or does that fall under taxes?

Also things under the investment tab count as misc (opening a dojo/dev company, buying venues/titles, etc)

Nope. Regional for a whole year before and still regional now. I started traveling outside my home region (to an adjacent one in the same country) about 6 months before the spike.

 

Building a dojo definitely counts under "Dojos".

It's because you're making more than $500k pre-tax and therefore fall into a higher bracket and have an extra set of costs.

Also during that month don't forget that you had some Wolf of Wallstreet style parties going on.

Thank you. Out of curiosity, any particular reason that doesn't just fall under "Tax"?</p>

It's because tax is a very specific percentage of earnings, Misc is meant for everything else - these extra costs are not part of that tax, and therefore Misc is the correct place for them.
