<p>Couple of quick questions. What base are you using for this? A 2013 mod I presume? You're obviously not creating or editing 2000 plus workers on your own.</p><p> </p><p>

You said its not NWA's mod what have you changed? If I pull up TEW 13 and I look at his mod what am I going to see on your mod that is different? </p><p> </p><p>

You also said that this is 4 percent done? Having done the 2005 C Verse twice now, 2008 and contributed to a few others I've never mastered how to calculate how done I am with a mod. I mean there is a ton of information to get done so it seems like I'd have to take every location, worker, belt, every bit of editable information and then figure out how much I've done and how much is left to do that seems like that'd take more time than editing the dang mod so is there an easier way to calculate how done you are with a mod? </p><p> </p><p>

Last question is the 93 mod now complete? I know that the Mod Squad spends like a month at a time perfecting one mod even after they release it. They go through 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, etc fixing bugs, etc making it as complete as possible before moving onto the next one. Is this how you do things? Do you have a different process? </p><p> </p><p>

Anyway please don't feel attacked these are honest questions and I am genuinely curious. I honestly was a bit shocked to see a second mod from you so soon since it seemed like 1993 had so many things that needed fixing. Here I am working for a two months by myself to make the C Verse 08 mod perfect and you're blazing through mods so maybe you can share some secrets with me.</p>

As jhd pointed out NWAvsWWF is seemingly AWOL and all his work has been marked in the 2013 Mod Index as free to use. Genadi's work I understand is on an ask to use basis but that's where something like a free to use locations/angles/titles pack for RW mods would come in handy. BiTW's posted in here he got permission from Fleisch so it's a case of jumping the gun there. </p><p> </p><p> I get that he's used stuff from yourself and other modders before without asking permission first and I can certainly understand how annoying that is. But imagine it from the other point of view - it'd certainly be frustrating if you were a new mod maker who'd used someone's mod as a base (presumably someone you greatly admired for mod making abilities in the first place) and then would have that person or two/three others jumping in making mildly sardonic comments about your abilities to produce a mod.</p><p> </p><p> Best case scenario? We draw a line under all this and work together as a modding community to establish some sort of barebones baseline mod starter pack that everyone can use. Bashing other people's mods or constantly moaning about what you think stats should be (they're subjective, get over it) just makes the whole forum a little less pleasant to be in and has led to far too many arguments over the years. Mod makers are doing it for free and for their own enjoyment, try and respect that.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This has been getting further and further out of hand for a while now, and it's normally involving the same few people.</p><p> </p><p> Yes, the rules say you should ask for permission, but at the end of the day we're all here to have fun playing a computer game. I appreciate that some people put a lot of work into these mods, and totally understand that someone using your hard work for their own mod would be frustrating, but aren't more mods a good thing, at the end of the day?</p><p> </p><p> Mods are supposed to be about sharing creative ideas, not petty bickering and mud-slinging.</p><p> </p><p> If you have a problem with someone using your work without permission, PM them and let them know.
