AydenReid
Hi Guys, I am making custom belts, but not taking requests yet, until I can make them as good as Payne or ReapeR (If I ever get that good). I have made a basic shape for my belt and would like some feedback and advice to detail & shapes. You could try some kind of leather effect on the belt or add layer above the belt and paste leather texture in it. You will find plenty if you do a Google Image search for leather texture.

On the metal parts you could experiment with gradients or try some metallize effect.
Bigpapa42
Reaper had a Youtube video tutorial on how to put together belts like he did, with the textures, which really helps move it a step forward. Like Asaemon says, promising start.
