WELCOME TO DECOLT COUNTRY!

So hey. This is my first diary here on the board, though I've got a lot of experience on other websites. I've gotten really into CGC since TEW16 came out, I like the idea of this hyper-entertainment fed where weird stuff occasionally happens but at it's heart it's all about the DeColt's being strong, dependable Canadian boys.

I thought about doing a modern day take on it, but I've really gotten into the 97 mod, and I thought it'd be fun to take CGC on back when everyone was young and hopeful. Let's see where it goes eh.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to DeColt Country (otherwise known as British Columbia)! The DeColts themselves (well it is they’re country) are here to welcome everyone to the first show of the year, but more than that they’re out here to call out those thugs The School of Tradition for attacking them last week and screwing Alex DeColt out of his Canadian Championship. They’re DeColts and they don’t take that kind of thing lying down. Not even, as Jack so eloquently puts it, for a full keg!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Eric20Tyler_alt_zps8p3zdavu.jpg</span><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/cadc04fd-c217-4369-a952-4c6346cb6414_zpsggmkhuqx.jpg</span><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Chance_zpsgkjgg8kz.jpg</span><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/cad6bdda-78d9-4509-a22b-e20490f9c3e9_zpsxfncol3d.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Oh, the big bad threatening DeColts out here to… make threats. Great trash talk DaLay, it’s a good thing he’s scary big. Eric Tyler takes over, thank god, and makes it very clear that the attacks aren’t over, not until they get what they deserve. No Jack, not punches, the CGC World Championship. Steve says that if he wants a shot then the School of Tradition can put a team together and face them at Elimination.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/George20DeColt_zpsyscffor1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Good old father DeColt is in the house, and he likes the sounds of that. Eric’s not surprised that he’s agreeing with his son, but George shuts him up. CGC Elimination – The DeColts vs. The School of Tradition, and that’s a DeColt Decree!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jerome Turner:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Having turned on his former partner Ed Monton two weeks ago Jetson is looking to add singles success to his three CGC World Tag Team Championships.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Roger Rogers:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Bob Casey is now in his third year with CGC, and he’s done a whole lot of nothing, can’t see Jetson having much trouble here.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Bob Casey offers the handshake- Jetson just kicks him straight in the gut! Jetson is dominant, you can’t really call what he does wrestling, he’s just beating Casey up. He drags him to the outside and begins throwing him about. Into the ring apron! Into the barricade! Against the turnbuckle! Casey is seeing stars but… counter to the Slingshot Suplex! Casey rolls Jetson up… for 2! Casey builds up steam with a series of belly to belly suplexes and… Jetson with a boot straight to the skull! Slingshot Suplex and it’s all over!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

There’s no time to celebrate, because here comes Ed Monton charging to the ring, gunning for revenge! Jetson is quick to bail, he wants none of Monton right now. That’s fine, Monton can wait, but not for too long. Elimination is just two weeks away, so how about they find themselves two partners and square up like proud Canadians, like these people, right here, in British Columbia! Ooh, cheap pop. Jetson isn’t about to back down from his former partner, he’s on!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Alex DeColt stands surrounded by charts and graphs detailing the styles of the School of Tradition. Some may call him a massive nerd, others the thinking man’s DeColt, either way he’s getting prepared. Steve and Jack just listen as Alex goes on about strategy, Steve taking it in, Jack drinking a good old Canadian beer. He’s not worried about the School of Tradition, they don’t need strategy, they just need their fists and a keg-worth of punches. Steve’s stuck in the middle of them as they begin arguing about which is better – strategy or a good right hand.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Biff20the20Bruiser_zpsud3jtqzt.jpg</span><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Dirty20Frank_zpsjook3qif.jpg</span><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Murderous20Mikey_zpsfv3jeoc1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The arguing stops immediately when they’re so rudely interrupted by the rather unclean trio of Biff the Bruiser, Switchblade Mike & Dirty Frank. At least Frank’s straight up honest about his lack of shower regimen. Biff isn’t scared about tonight’s main event. See, the DeColts might be the premiere wrestling family in Canada but he’s the strongest professional wrestler in the world and if he needs to he’ll tear apart the DeColts limb by limb to get the win. Tonight the DeColts learn the hard way what happens when you overlook Biff the Bruiser.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jack DeColt isn’t impressed – why doesn’t the guy get a real name?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Jake Sloan & Alexander Robinson</span></strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> vs. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">John McClean & Maverick </span></strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:8px;">(w/ Emma Chase)</span></span></strong></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jerome Turner:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I don’t know who this mystery woman is with McClean and Maverick, but she’s certainly catching the eye of the fans.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Roger Rogers:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I’ll tell you what, I might be in a wheelchair but I can certainly feel something below the waist right now.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Disgusting commentary aside John McClean and Maverick’s new manager certainly seems to have a positive effect on the duo as they come into this all guns blazing. McClean fights a clean fight (it’s in the name) but that doesn’t stop him being rough about it, working over Sloan. Sloan fights back, big dropkick, quick tag to Robinson. Robinson comes up against Maverick and the two exchange stiff strikes. Maverick gets the advantage, using his technical knowhow to twist and stretch Robinson in unnatural ways. Steve DeColt is making his final preparations for the main event when big bad Barry Bowen gets in his face. He doesn’t care about the DeColts, he doesn’t care about the School of Tradition, he definitely doesn’t care about these fans, all he cares about is becoming the CGC World Championship for a third time and right now Steve and Steve alone is in his way… actually not so alone.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Steve’s flanked by his brothers, and Barry backs down. Well, not down, he’s too big for that. Steve tells him anytime, anywhere, if he wants a shot then he’s just got to ask. Bowen laughs, he bets Steve feels pretty tough when he’s got backup, but sooner or later he’s going to be all alone, and that’s when he’ll strike, that’s when he’ll rip the title away from him and leave him just like the three of them are going to leave the DeColt legacy – in tatters. Jack nearly swings for him there and then, thankfully Alex and Steve hold him back. Barry heads off laughing.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jack takes a swig of good old Canadian beer and kicks things off against Switchblade Mike. Mike comes at him, swinging wild fists, but you don’t brawl with Jack DeColt and come out looking pretty. The ‘wild man’ of the DeColts unloads with right hand after right hand. Jack DeColt’s in complete control, he even pauses for another swig of his beer mid-beating. Big shoulder block! End of Days! (Switchblade Mike is eliminated). It’s three on two just like that as Alex comes up against Dirty Frank. Frank’s cheating gives him an early edge, but he’s just another puzzle for Alex to solve. Frank goes to remove the turnbuckle but Alex rolls him up, Frank kicks out. Both men up onto their feet, Frank goes for the boot, Alex catches it, pulls him in and DeColt Driver! (Dirty Frank is eliminated).</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Biff the Bruiser wastes no time, he’s on Alex immediately, blasting him with “the world’s strongest” shoulder tackles. “World’s strongest” powerslam! “World stron…” nothing! Alex counters, quick tag to Steve. Steve DeColt is all fired up, the eldest DeColt boy unloading with clotheslines. Sling blade! He’s up top… big elbow drop! Steve DeColt’s in total control. He backs up, bides his time and… DeColt Stampede!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Not a bad opening show by any means. I’m used to drawing in much higher ratings but CGC starts off as a regional company so right now as long as I’m increasing my popularity then I’m doing something right. I think the biggest challenge is juggling the roster on just one hour of television. I’ve had success in my private game but with that I could not have a guy show up for a while and not think anything of it. I have to be a bit more careful here because I don’t want guys to get forgotten about.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- I’m trying to be liberal with the signings and only introduce one new act, at most, a month (a tag team counts as an act) though I’m not including required non-wrestlers in that like Emma Chase. I didn’t want to bring anyone in on the first month so I could focus on the starting roster but I had to think about the sex appeal requirements, hence the introduction of Emma Chase. Sadly Chase had bad chemistry with Maverick but Maverick and McClean have great chemistry as a team.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Speaking of chemistry, Jake Sloane and Alexander Robinson have excellent chemistry as a team, and I was looking for a new face team to put together. Looks like they’ve just made themselves relevant for the time being.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Week 2, January, 1997

Jerome Turner:
We are just one week away from Elimination. We know that The School of Tradition will face the DeColts in the main event, but Dan DaLay will, by a DeColt Decree, defend his Canadian Championship against the winner of a six man elimination match here tonight.

Roger Rogers:
And we’ve got another Elimination preview with the School of Tradition to boot. They’re going to show the DeColts exactly what they’re in for come Elimination.

http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Logos/CGC_zpsij3tygpp.jpg

http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Eric20Tyler_alt_zps8p3zdavu.jpghttp://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/cadc04fd-c217-4369-a952-4c6346cb6414_zpsggmkhuqx.jpghttp://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Chance_zpsgkjgg8kz.jpghttp://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/cad6bdda-78d9-4509-a22b-e20490f9c3e9_zpsxfncol3d.jpg

Class is officially in session as the School of Tradition take the ring. DaLay, Chance and Fate basically just stand around and look menacing while Eric Tyler takes the lead, running through each of the DeColts in turn. Jack might be strong, and he might pack a mighty punch, but he’s too busy ‘enjoying’ himself with his beer and women, not to mention the fact that the three men in the ring with him can hit harder. Alex might be the smartest man in CGC but he’s too busy looking at all his textbooks and graphs instead of actually becoming a good wrestler.

And then there’s Steve, good old Steve DeColt. The quietest of the DeColt brothers, Steve thinks himself their leader, but what has he really done for them? Jack’s still a borderline alcoholic, Alex still can’t get a date. Worst of all none of them are ever going to amount to anything close to what their father achieved. There’s a lesson to be learned here, the DeColts are where they are not because of talent, but because of the family name, and at Elimination they’re going to prove that it doesn’t matter what you name is, you’ll still fall at the hands of the School of Tradition.

CGC CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP NUMBER ONE CONTENDER ELIMINATION MATCH

Tim Westybrook
vs.
Eddie Chandler
vs.
Howling Dog
vs.
Switchblade Mike
vs.
Dirty Frank
vs.
Biff the Bruiser

Jerome Thomas:
Well we’ve got a special guest out here for this one, the CGC Canadian Champion himself, Dan DaLay. Dan, which of these six men would you most like to face at Elimination?

Dan DaLay:
Don’t care, gonna beat ‘em to a pulp whoever it is.

Roger Rogers:
Well said.

Biff and the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels maintain their alliance from last week to get an early advantage, but the combined forces of Westybrook, Chandler and Howling Dog banded together to fight back. Westybrook tackles Biff out of the ring, the pair of strongmen just throwing right hands at each other. Chandler and Howling Dog have taken control. Chandler with the Fabulous Stretch (Dirty Frank is eliminated)! Beware of the Dog (Switchblade Mike is eliminated)! Chandler and Howling Dog go at it, back and forth, Fabulous Str… no Howling Dog with the roll up… just two! Both men are up, Beware of the Dog (Eddie Chandler is eliminated)!

We’re down to three as Biff throws Westybrook into the barricade. He goes to work over Dog, his unnatural strength making it easy. Headbutt! “World’s Strongest” Lariat! Westybrook comes in before he can make the cover, TNT Whirlwind (Biff the Bruiser is eliminated)! It’s down to just Westybrook and Howling Dog. Westybrook lifts Dog up for the TNT Whirlwind. But Howling Dog slips out, flash cradle. It’s three! What a win for Howling Dog!

WINNER: HOWLING DOG

TIME: 12:18

Howling Dog’s just overcome all the odds to bag himself a title shot! What a moment for… oh, there’s Dan DaLay with the big boot. DaLay Down! Dan DaLay has left Howling Dog lying in the centre of the ring, and when Elimination swings round Howling Dog looks set to be the underdog.

Steve Flash is stretching backstage, getting ready for… wait, who turned out the lights? Oh no, that’s just Barry Bowen’s shadow, the big man looming over Flash. Bowen’s not surprised to hear Flash is facing off with the School of Tradition tonight, he’s always been a DeColt wannabe, but a word of warning, he stands with the DeColts, he’s gonna get run down with them. Flash isn’t scared of Bowen, but maybe he should be, because Bowen’s big, he’s bad and he wants what’s his, the CGC World Championship. Flash says that Steve DeColt’s a fighting champion, he’s just got to earn his shot. Bowen gives him one last warning, stay away from the DeColts, or get crushed by the runaway train that is Barry Bowen.

Ed Monton
vs.
Mammoth
(w/ Land Mass & Helen Wheels)

Jerome Thomas:
Land Mass & Mammoth have thrown in with Jon Jetson ahead of Elimination, while Monton is still looking for a partner.

Roger Rogers:
He’d better find someone quick, Jetson’s literally found himself two HUGE partners.

Mammoth’s big, he’s bad and… is he drunk? I think he’s drunk. Monton doesn’t take too kindly to this unpatriotic behaviour, he’s all over Mammoth! Punches, kicks, more punches, more kicks, big DDT! Monton’s all over Mammoth, but Helen Wheels is up on the apron. The referee’s distracted and here comes Land Mass! He charges… but Monton pulls the rope down, Land Mass tumbles out of the ring. Fallaway Slam to Mammoth, what strength! It’s all over!

WINNER: ED MONTON

Land Mass comes barrelling in, takes down Monton with a big charge. Jon Jetson stomps to the ring and joins Land Mass in putting the boots to Monton. Meanwhile Mammoth looks for something to throw up in, don’t drink and wrestle people.

Oh here comes the cavalry. Eddie Chandler and Tim Westybrook charge the ring, Chandler ducks a clothesline, grabs Jetson’s waist and delivers a big German suplex. Westybrook’s got Land Mass up! What strength! TNT Whirlwind! Jetson and Land Mass are down and it looks like Ed Monton’s got himself a team for Elimination.

“‘Gorgeous’ George DeColt, god that’s a weird term to use to describe your dad, was one of the best wrestlers of his day, having found success all across America during the 60s and 70s thanks to his charisma, his hard hitting style and his famous Iron Claw that could put down any man. But it was when he joined the Canadian Wrestling Federation that he really became known as a legend. With uncle Whipper the Calgary Wolverines won four tag team championships, and Dad having plenty of singles success to boot.

Sadly an arm injury sent him into early retirement, but he’s bounced back, running CWF, SWF and now as the founder of Canadian Golden Combat. No stranger to weird things happening, CGC has become the home of wacky shenanigans, weird people and most importantly great wrestling. Say what you want about me, Steve and Jack but none of us would be here today without the training of ‘Georgeous’ George, which probably makes him the most important man in Canada, right?

As the owner of CGC Dad is just as active now as he ever was, though he keeps things strictly out of the ring nowadays. As the man in charge Dad likes to lay down DeColt Decree's whenever he feels like an issue needs sorting which, let's be honest, with the weirdo's hanging around that locker room is pretty often.”

ELIMINATION PREVIEW

School of Tradition
vs.
Steve Flash, Jake Sloan & Alexander Robinson

Jerome Turner:
Last week the DeColts picked up the victory in their Elimination preview match, tonight the School of Tradition try to do the same.

Roger Rogers:
When you’ve got the mind of Eric Tyler behind you, I don’t think there’s much that can stand against you.

School of Tradition are out strong right from the start, Chance and Fate showing great teamwork cutting the ring in half and cutting Sloan off from his partners. Vicious work from the Soldiers of Fortune, these two aren’t messing around, following Eric Tyler’s game plan to perfection. Misfortune! Big double team move from the Soldiers, and there goes Jake (Jake Sloan is Eliminated). It’s two against one already, and it doesn’t get any better. Alexander Robinson finds himself in the same position, vicious two on one by the Soldiers of Fortune. Robinson can’t make it to Flash no matter what he tries. Oh, oh, hot ta… no, Soldiers of Fortune stop it dead. Misfortune! There goes another one (Alexander Robinson is Eliminated).

It’s three against one, what hope does Steve Flash have? Well, as it turns out he doesn’t care, because he’s out of the corner in a flash (pun intended) and wrestling rings around Chance. The Soldiers of Fortune try to run the double team, but Flash can wrestle his way out of everything they have to throw at him, and he doesn’t exactly that. Oh! Flash Bang out of nowhere! The School is down to two (Chance is Eliminated!) Eric Tyler finally decides to enter the match, and it’s a great back and forth technical bout between the pair until Fate nails Flash with a cheap shot. Double team! Big Spinebuster! Tradition Lift (Steve Flash is Eliminated)! The School of Tradition pick up the win just days away from Elimination.

SURVIVORS: ERIC TYLER, FATE

- Bit of a drop off in quality this week show rating wise, though that’s mainly down to the fact I got pinged by the ‘not enough hot storylines’ note, so that’ll be something to work on moving forward.

- Mammoth was clearly drunk in his match with Ed Monton, which annoyed Monton (and me to be honest). He was actually sent home from last week’s show because he showed up drunk to work. I’m not the type to have guys on the roster who are doing damage to backstage morale, especially when they’re not really important and right now Mammoth is far from it. Unless he can turn his drinking habit around then he’ll likely be the first cut I make in this game.

- Elimination is up next, and I'll be announcing the card as part of what I'm hoping will be a new, exciting aspect for the diary.

- So part of my favorite things about diaries is reader involvement, so I've decided to run a prediction contest with a different prize each cycle that will directly affect CGC. This could range from deciding on a rookie to hire, getting to choose an underdeveloped talent to get a storyline or just about anything else I can think off for that cycle.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- The first contest will run from Elimination to Luck of the Draw. The Prize? The winner gets to choose the challenger for the Canadian Championship for the first night of the WrestleFestival out of any non-champion on the roster.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Roger Rogers:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Why would you pick a fight with a guy like Bowen, he’s a monster!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Maverick comes out strong to start with as he and McClean cut the ring in half, stopping Sloan from reaching his partners. Sloan’s suffering flashbacks to Sunday as he’s picked apart, and manages to escape a heel hook with impressive flair, leaps across the ring to make the tag! Robinson cleans house, and this match is well and truly on. Robinson with some stiff strikes, Japan meets Canada folks, goes for Canadian Violence but Maverick shoves him away straight into a cheap shot from McClean. Maverick with the rollup, he’s got the tights </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Alexander Robinson is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">! Just like that its three on two, but Steve Flash is all over McClean. He’s wrestling rings around him! Hip toss! Picture perfect dropkick! Flash Bang! It’s all even </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(John McClean is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Bowen makes his presence felt, running straight through Sloan like a runaway train. Brutal, violent, unstoppable, Bowen tears Sloan apart with vicious efficiency. Train Wreck! Sloan is done </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Jake Sloan is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Steve Flash is outnumbered, but he’s not backing down. Quick work from the Remarkable One. Maverick fights back, goes for the rolling armbar, Flash rolls through, both men are up… Flash Bang out of nowhere! </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Maverick is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Barry Bowen barrels into Flash, taking him down. Stomp after stomp after stomp. Bowen’s just throwing Flash around now. Train Wre… Flash dodges it, roll up for two. Bowen charges… flash cradle for another near fall! Barry Bowen is slow to his feet and… Flash Bang! Out of nowhere! Steve Flash has put the big man down for the count!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jon Jetson is not happy about this whole ‘teaming up’ thing, he learned the hard way thanks to Ed Monton that he doesn’t want to rely on other people in that ring. Helen Wheels isn’t too happy either, she don’t like the way Jetson’s looking down on her boys. Land Mass & Mammoth are perfectly handy on their own, Jetson’s more than welcome to piss off and let them do the dirty work out there. Jetson’s not about to do that, he doesn’t trust anyone but himself, which means he’s got to go out there and make sure they get the job done. He’s sick of Monton always being around, so he’s going to change that. Finally, something he and his partners can agree on.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Eddie Chandler and Tim Westybrook are in the middle of an argument over the Canadian Championship number one contenders match from last Sunday, which does little to impress Ed Monton. He appreciates their help last week but if they’re not gonna work together tonight then he’ll go out there alone. Chandler and Westybrook settle down, they helped him because they wanted to do the right thing, and that’s what they’re going to do tonight. Chandler likes they’re Canadian spirit, it’s time to go kick some ass!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jerome Turner:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Ed Monton and Jon Jetson held two CGC World Tag Team Championships together a few years back, but a recent reunion ended badly due to Jetson’s jealousy.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Roger Rogers:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Monton’s always looked down on Jetson, well it’s time for the Enforcer to prove exactly who is the better man.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Monton wants a piece of Jetson, but his former partner is happy to let Land Mass kick things off. Land Mass’s size is more than a match for Monton’s right hand, and he and Mammoth quickly put a hurting on the former World Champion. Chandler doesn’t fare much better, the big men are just too, well, big. In comes the game changer, Tim Westybrook. The Iron Man proves his strength by throwing Mammoth overhead with a belly to belly. Big lariat, german suplex, TNT Whirlwind! Mad strength from Westybrook </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Mammoth is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Jetson finally enters the fray, working over Chandler. Eddie fights back, locks in the Fabulous Stretch! Jetson’s gonna tap… but Wheels distracts the referee. Low blow, Slightshot Suplex </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Eddie Chandler is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Ed Monton’s not happy, charging in and going to war with Jetson. They fight in the ring, outside the ring and into the crowd, the referee’s counting but neither of them care. They’re both counted out (Ed Monton and Jon Jetson are eliminated)! It’s down to Tim Westybrook and Land Mass to fight it out. Land Mass has the weight advantage, but Westybrook is too damn strong! He lifts Land Mass up but Helen Wheels is on the apron again, but Westybrook doesn’t care, he nails the TNT Whirlwind anyway, and the CGC officials are smarter than your average ref and sees the pin.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Howling Dog’s beaten up and… well, it doesn’t really get any better from there. Dan DaLay isn’t messing about, he might have launched a cheap attack but he’s big, strong and in a permanently bad mood. DaLay throws Howling Dog around the ring, just straight up beating him up, but Dog won’t stay down. DaLay throws him around outside the ring, into the barricade, onto the steel steps, right into Roger Roger’s lap, but nothing works, Howling Dog still kicks out. DaLay goes for the DaLay Down but Dog manages to escape, unleashes some right hands, big dropkick and Tomahawk Chop! DaLay’s down but only for two. Beware of the Dog… doesn’t connect, and a rattled DaLay hits the big boot. DaLay’s still loopy from the chop, Howling Dog rolls him up for another near fall. DaLay’s slow to get up, a second Tomahawk Chop but DaLay catches his arms. Freaky strength from the Canadian Champion. DaLay Down!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Watching DaLay’s victory on a monitor Eric Tyler makes it clear that that won’t be the only win for the School of Tradition here tonight. For too long the DeColts have been running around here thinking that they’re the top dogs when really they’ve got a lot to learn. They might have been taught by George DeColt but Tyler knows ways to hurt people that George could only have nightmares about. Tonight they go out there and they teach those DeColt boys a lesson. Class is in session, and those boys aren’t going to pass.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Alex and Jack are in the middle of a huge argument just moments before the main event! Jack’s surrounded by empty good old Canadian beer cans, Alex shouting that he should be taking this seriously. The walls are littered with graphs on the School of Tradition, but Jack thinks he’s just being a big old nerd. The only strategy Jack needs is to go out there, punch a few people, pin a few people and then go out to this party that the club down the road is throwing. Alex is incredulous! Luckily Steve arrives on time to get everyone on the same page. The School of Tradition are a threat, but they’re also clearly not as smart as they think they are if they think that they can beat the DeColt brothers when they’re together. If they didn’t learn their lesson last year, they’ll teach them it again. All on the same page once more the DeColt’s head for the ring.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jerome Turner:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Last year the DeColts stood tall against the School of Tradition with a clean sweep, but with Eric Tyler’s been in impressive form in recent months as he tries to regain the World Championship.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Roger Rogers:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The School of Tradition learn from the few mistakes they make, they won’t be going down so easily here tonight.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jack’s buzzed and ready to fight, but he quickly finds himself at the mercy of the Soldiers of Fortune, who cut the ring in half, separating him from his brothers. Quick tags, big double team moves and some good brawling means Jack’s in trouble early on. But he’s the wild man of the DeColt family, and he’s got a party to go to. Punches for everyone! Jack DeColt’s on fire, running through everyone in his path not named DeColt. Wild Ride! End of Days to Chance! But Fate breaks it up. Everyone’s in and we’ve got a six man brawl on our hands. Alex and Chance tumble out of the ring, Steve speaks Fate straight through the ropes. In all the confusion the referee doesn’t see Eric Tyler kicking Jack right between the legs. Tradition Lift, Eric Tyler just eliminated Jack DeColt </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Jack DeColt is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Having gotten a clean sweep last year the DeColts are now down two to three. The School of Tradition takes advantage, but Alex is smart, uses the numbers to his advantage, ducking a Chance lariat and sending him straight into his own corner where he accidentally knocks both of his partners off of the apron. Alex with the rollup and just like that it’s all even </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Chance is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. Two on two again, and Steve begins cleaning house, running roughshod over Fate. A cheap shot by Tyler on the apron gives Fate a chance to take control, the younger Soldier of Fortune doing an impressive number on the shoulder of the World Champion, trying to neutralise that signature Decolt strength. But Steve’s not going down like that, he counters the spinebuster with a DDT. DeColt Fusion </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Fate is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Eric Tyler’s now at a two on one advantage as he a battle of wits develops between him and Alex. Both men counter each other’s every move until Alex manages to go for Jack’s End of Days. He’s not as talented at submissions as his brother though and Eric manages to wriggle free. Thumb to the eye, Tradition Lift, it’s all even </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>(Alex DeColt is eliminated)</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">. It’s Steve DeColt against Eric Tyler now, and they go all out. A cheap shot gives Eric the early advantage, goes for the Tradition Lift but Steve escapes before he can hit it, big shoulder tackles, bulldog, DeColt Stam… Eric counters, Tradition Lift… but Steve escapes once again. DeColt Stampede! One… two… three!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- So Jack ended up injuring Eric Tyler during the main event which means he’s going to be out of action for about two months, which majorly changes my plans. Eric was going to challenge Steve for the World Championship at the next pay per view, which obviously isn’t going to happen now, so I’m scrambling to find a new challenger I can fit a compelling story around. Worse still is that Jack and Eric now don’t like each other which, given that this is DeColt Country after all, means that unless I can fix that relationship Eric might have a rocky time over the next few months.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Aside from that big bit of bad news this was a pretty good show given the popularity of almost everyone not called DeColt right now. I’ve got to work on that and try to build up some credible challengers for them as well as building up my secondary faces. • 3 weeks later...

So just to quickly explain the inactivity, the past two weeks has been filled with working on the final project for my masters course, so that's kept me pretty busy.

However that's all finished with now, so from this Sunday I'll be moving to a regular posting schedule for shows, which means anyone who'd like to jump into the Golden Opportunity prediction contest has a week to do so for this show.

The DeColts are out in force to welcome everyone to DeColt Country! More importantly though they’re here to talk about last night, where they once again proved to the School of Tradition that this is the house the DeColt’s built, and that there’s nobody who can knock it down. Jack, in between mouthfuls of good old Canadian beer, brings up Eric Tyler’s “poor unfortunate injury”, saying that’s what happens when you step into the ring with a rampaging DeColt. Alex butts in, saying they don’t like seeing anybody suffer an injury and that they wish Eric a speedy recovery so they can kick his ass again. Wait, no, Jack doesn’t wish him a speedy anything. Oh great, here we go again, Jack and Alex arguing in the middle of the ring like, well, like brothers. Steve’s in the middle trying to talk them both down when-</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Runaway20Train_zpshdfufyzl.jpg</span><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/Steve20Flash_zpsku8w7hfb.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Barry Bowen makes his presence felt, and when you’re talking Barry Bowen you’re talking a whole lot of presence. Bowen makes it very clear that he considers himself the number one contender. He’s obsessed with being the CGC World Champion again, it’s all he thinks about, all he dreams about, he wants that belt and he’ll do anything to get it. And yes, it’s as creepy as it sounds. Steve Flash however has other ideas, pointing out that his team beat Bowen’s team last night at Elimination, which should make him the number one contender. Steve DeColt doesn’t care which of them it is, he just wants a match so he can continue showing everyone exactly why he’s the champion!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1376.photobucket.com/albums/ah18/dclarkew22/CGC%20Roster%20Mini/George20DeColt_zpsyscffor1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

All this talking brings out the owner of CGC, the original DeColt himself, George DeColt. George likes his number one contenders to have earned themselves a title match, and he sees a perfect opportunity for one of them to do so tonight. So, by order of a DeColt Decree, tonight’s main event will be Barry Bowen against Steve Flash, with the winner challenging Steve for the title at CGC Luck of the Draw!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Both men come into this one off of wins at Elimination and are looking to continue their momentum. Biff comes into this one all fired up as per usual but he’s quickly thrown off by the methodical offence of Eddie Chandler, who quickly ties him up in all manner of technical holds. Every time Biff tries something Chandler has an answer, and he’s quick to point that out by posing for the crowd. Bad move. Biff’s furious and just runs straight through Chandler, taking control with some vicious shots. Biff’s got this in the bag but then, surprisingly…</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Mario Heroic makes an appearance after his loss to Biff last night. Mario’s walking around ringside, chatting to fans, doing some stretches, attempts to do the worm. He’s a weird guy. The atmosphere in the School of Tradition locker room is not what you’d call optimistic right now. The Soldiers of Fortune are downbeat with the injury to their leader Eric Tyler, and Dan DaLay isn’t exactly the cheeriest of people at the best of times. Suddenly he’s on his feet, fist slammed against a locker. He’s done moping around, done worrying about Eric Tyler not being there to give them orders. He’s Dan DaLay, they’re the Soldiers of Fortune, they’re the damn School of Tradition and with or without Eric Tyler they’re a force to be reckoned with! And tonight, here in this so called DeColt Country, it’s time to remind everyone that class is never over when they’re around.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Steve Flash is getting ready for the main event with some choice stretches when up walks CGC World Champion Steve DeColt. Flash might be fighting for a shot at the title but there’s no animosity between the two Steve’s here tonight, just some good old fashioned mutual respect. DeColt offers to give Flash a few tips on how to beat Bowen but Flash assures him he doesn’t need them, he’s going out there to do this on his own. He wants to beat Bowen fair and square and go on to Luck of the Draw for a good, fair wrestling match with a man he respects. DeColt’s happy to hear it, and wishes Flash luck out there. He knows which guy he’d prefer to face. The two shake hands and while it’s all fair and friendly now, you’ve got to wonder if the same can be said if these two have to fight over the title.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Robinson & Sloan have formed quite the partnership in the past couple of weeks and are coming off of a big win at Elimination, but they don’t quite have the tag team experience of the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. And by experience I mean the ability to cheat like nobody else. From eye pokes to held tights to feet on rope the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels attempt everything they can think off to get the job done, but at every turn Robinson & Sloan have each other’s back. The Chase Agency have just finished watching the preceding tag match on a monitor and John McClean and Maverick are not happy. Why are people like Robinson & Sloan getting matches on TV and they’re not? They signed up with Emma Chase because she promised them that she could make them stars, but she hasn’t exactly got off to the best start has she? Chase is quick to pacify the pair, telling her it’s all about branding, about taking the right matches at the right time. In fact she spoke to George DeColt earlier tonight and thanks to a little persuasion she’s gotten them a match next week! McClean and Maverick seem somewhat won over (not that you could tell given that Maverick never speaks) but they expect bigger and better things from Emma moving forwards.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

We’re stood by with Ed Monton, ready to get a few words on his team’s victory over his former partner Jon Jetson at Elimination. Monton says that ihe and Jetson used to be as close as brothers. The Canadian Enforcers were unstoppable. Two time CGC World Tag Team Champions. They’ve beaten legendary CGC teams like The Warlords of Pain and the Demons of Rage. But then he found himself some singles success. He won three, count ‘em, three World Championships. Jetson held on for as long as he could, they were still friends, three years after his last title reign, but then something changed. Jerome Turner: With Eric Tyler out of action we needed a new challenger for Steve DeColt at Luck of the Draw, and unsurprisingly we didn't have to look far.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Roger Rogers: Let's be honest here, Barry's the only one deserving of that title shot, I mean just look at the guy!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Steve Flash is at a big disadvantage from the moment the bell rings, and he knows it. Bowen’s got the size, the strength and the mean streak to boss this match, and that’s exactly what he likes to do in that ring. Flash however, well, he’s none of those things, so here he has to rely on his speed and wits to get the job done. Luckily for him he’s got both of those in spades. Flash comes at Bowen quickly, hitting and running, doing everything he can to avoid getting caught by the runaway train that is Barry Bowen. It works for the most part, and Flash’s heart compensates for the periods where it doesn’t, refusing the back down when Bowen begins throwing him about. But Bowen’s taking control, and he’s got Flash up but Flash escapes! Flash Bang… no! Bowen uses sheer strength to shove Flash away. Steve Flash scrambles to his feet and Train Wreck! Flash is down and out! Barry Bowen is the new number one contender!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Barry Bowen decides it’s time to get involved now, yanking Alex away and driving him to the match with the Train Wreck! Suddenly the DeColt’s are again being beaten down when… Flash Bang! Out of nowhere! Chance is down! Fate moves in and… Flash Bang! - So a 65 rating seems to be my ceiling right now, with three of my four shows having hit that point, and the other one falling low because of the lack of hot storyline note. I was a bit concerned about this show because of the lack of DeColt involvement in the main event but Steve Flash is proving to be a more than capable headliner. I’m a bit hesitant to push him, or Ed Monton in fact, because both work for NOTBPW as well, and I don’t particularly want to help build people up for them. But I also don’t want to rely on the DeColts to carry every show, so I can either run with Flash and Monton as occasional main event faces or try and build some other guys up.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Mammoth was visibly drunk for a second match in three weeks during a pre-show match which, because of the new backstage system, has left a few people with morale issues. Now I’m all for giving people a chance to reform but given that he’s not exactly a crucial part of the roster right now, and that with his alcohol issues he’s not going to be getting in the ring with anybody important, if he doesn’t get his act together sharpish he’ll be finding himself unemployed.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Dan DaLay leads the Soldiers of Fortune here tonight because, as he’s quick to remind everyone, Eric Tyler was injured at the hands of those damned DeColts. Now if it had been one of his boys that’d been injured, old man George would have dealt out some punishments, but since it’s one of his own then nothing’s being done about it. DaLay doesn’t think that’s right, in fact he reckons it’s </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>[CENSORED]</em></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The DeColts are out, right here in DeColt Country, and they’re not happy at DaLay’s choice of words. This is a family show, there’s kids out in that crowd and they deserve better than Dan DaLay bringing the place down with his lack of morals. DaLay’s fired up! He’s sick of all the hypocrisy around here. He’s sick of hearing that the DeColts are the moral compass of CGC and that they’re the bad guys around here. Jack’s drinking beer, the good old Canadian kind, right now! Jack can only shrug; he’s got a party after the show and needs to loosen up. Alex says DaLay might have a point; maybe Jack should lay off the drink when he’s meant to be wrestling. Jack’s furious! How else is he meant to get a buzz on!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Steve restores order. He reminds everyone of the big tag team main event tonight, and tells DaLay that the DeColts do their talking in the ring. Tonight he might not have one of his brothers backing him up, but he’s got the next best thing in Steve Flash, and if Dan DaLay wants to run his mouth so much then tonight, right here in DeColt Country, he’s gonna shut it for him!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

A vicious knee to the shoulder in the corner marks a turning point. Maverick’s in and immediately goes to work on that shoulder, wrenching it and stretching it in cruel and unusual ways. Ted Moore wants to help but then he spots Emma indicating for him to come over and is distracted by her womanly ways! Moore’s locked in a Cross Arm Breaker! “Steve’s the eldest brother, again only by a year, and is the trademark of what a CGC champion should be. Big, athletic, charismatic, Steve’s got it all, and he knows what to do with it too. Debuting back in 1992, Steve brought the same fire to the ring that all DeColts bring, the kind of passion you only get when you’re trained by the very best. Despite being a DeColt Steve didn’t get any favours from Dad, and had to work his way up the card from the very bottom, engaging in wars with the likes of </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

It wasn’t until three months ago that Steve got his first taste of the CGC World Championship, winning it from our other brother Jack. Wait, that means I’m the only DeColt without a world title reign, doesn’t it? Why didn’t anyone tell me that? Wait, no, this isn’t about me. Back to Steve.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Steve might be the quietest of the DeColt brothers, but that’s simply because he’s the eldest, the composed DeColt keeping the rest of us together as a unit. Because let’s face it, when you’re stuck with Jack then you’re going to get cranky now and again. But through it all the one thing everyone knows about a DeColt is that family comes first, and Steve embodies that. He’s a DeColt through and through, and whatever threats CGC faces you just know he’ll be front and centre with me and Jack right by his side.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

That’s when The Chase Agency comes waltzing up, Emma boastingly asking Robinson & Sloan if they just saw what here boys did out there in the ring. No, no they didn’t, they were too busy training like a real team, not moaning about not being on the show tonight. McClean appreciates that they’re training, but doesn’t appreciate the insinuation! Maverick just stands there, looking all silent and assassiny. Sloan’s confused. What does a silent assassin look like exactly? Shouldn’t all assassins be silent? Doesn’t that make assassinating easier? McClean’s sick of this! He ‘advises’ them to keep living clean, but also to keep out of their way! Maverick looks ready to scream… I think, but Emma calms her boys down and leads them away before things get physical. Mario Heroic’s stood outside a door holding a boom box above his head, as a very familiar song booms out. Suddenly the door bursts open. It’s Biff The Bruiser and he’s not happy. What else is new? He shoves Mario, the boom box dropping and shattering to the ground. A single tear rolls down Mario’s cheek, all he wanted was to get a little weird. He goes running off down the corridor as Biff screams about what the hell is happening around here?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Helen Wheels, noticeably still without Land Mass, smiles at Biff. “Let’s talk business, big boy”. She pushes him back into the locker room, closing the door behind her. Mario Heroic pokes his head back into the shot, telling the cameraman to be quiet and pressing his ear up against the door. Mario, why’ve you got to be so weird?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Alex DeColt has set the locker room up like a classroom, running the two Steve’s and Jack through a very heavy study session on Barry Bowen and Dan DaLay. Despite their alliterative names, they’re a force to be reckoned with, not least because they’re big, strong and neither of them like the DeColts. The biggest advantage they’ve got is that they don’t like each other either, so they can use that to their advantage. Jack doesn’t agree with the strategy and, through mouthfuls of good old fashioned Canadian beer, tells everyone that the best way to win is by punching everyone. Alex tells Jack to start acting like a professional and just like that we’ve got another brotherly argument going on. Flash asks if they should do something, but Steve DeColt just tells him to leave them to it, they’ve got a match to win.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

There’s no strategy session going on here. In fact, Barry Bowen and Dan DaLay are engaged in what can only be described as a very homoerotic staring session, the two men evidently trying to decide who’s bigger and scarier. Well, they should work well together, right?</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jerome Thomas:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> I’ve just got word that George DeColt has laid down a DeColt Decree that there will be no interference allowed in this match, at the risk of a suspension, which means we’ll be getting a straight two on two match.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Bowen and DaLay still don’t seem to be on the same page, arguing over who’ll start the match. This costs them, because DeColt & Flash certainly are on the same page and they quickly find a way to use that to counteract the size advantage. Bowen & DaLay might be big and scary, but DeColt & Flash use quick tags to make sure that they stay fresh, working over the big men who’s constant arguing only helps the two Steve’s control the first half of the match. Then things turn. Bowen & DaLay get on the same page, united in their hatred of the DeColt’s and anyone who associates with them.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

They begin throwing Flash around the ring, and just straight up beat up Steve DeColt when he attempts to make any kind of save. Things go from bad to worse when Bowen straight up gorilla presses Flash to the outside. Steve DeColt’s at a two on one disadvantage and he feels it, getting the kind of beating you just don’t see a DeColt receive. But he never gives up, fighting back with all the heart and passion of a DeColt. Steve ducks under a clothesline, nailing the big lariat. He’s fighting off both men! Miscommunication means Dan DaLay knocks Bowen straight out of the ring through the ropes! Steve Flash comes in and Flash Bang from out of nowhere! 1… 2… 3! Steve Flash pins the CGC Canadian Champion, and DeColt & Flash have picked up a massive win over the two giants of CGC on the road to Luck of the Draw!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Ouch, that show rating hurts, and it wasn’t even affected by any storyline heat note this time around. It was however affected by poor chemistry for Steve DeColt & Steve Flash, so I guess that occasional alliance will become even more occasional moving forward. If anything this show was a reminder of just how reliant CGC is on the DeColts at this point because really anything not involving a DeColt fell kind of flat.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

-Anything that is except for that Mario Heroic segment. I’m having a surprisingly good time writing Mario, surprising because on my private game he was never anything more than a jobber, but here I feel like I’ve hit a really nice mark with his personality in the write ups. He’s unlikely to ever be a top talent, especially since he’s got terrible popularity right now, but as long as I can think up weird things for him to do he’ll have a place on TV with me.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Mammoth wrestled drunk for the third time straight on the pre-show and, despite trying various ways to discipline him, doesn’t seem to have any interest in getting off the booze. So I released him. I don’t like letting go of long-term talent, and Mammoth has been with CGC since 1992, but I just can’t have him stinking up the locker room morale by wrestling drunk every time. And since I’m only regional right now I also can’t be signing him to a written deal to send him to rehab, so he got cut. His menace was the only decent stat he had, and Land Mass’ menace is just as good if not better, so really there wasn’t any reason for me to keep him around.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- Even with Mammoth’s release the roster’s still more than enough for a one hour show given that I haven’t fleshed out a few guys personalities yet. Still, I’ll be looking at who I want to bring in over the next few months and I’ve already got two guys on my shortlist who I’d like to make part of the roster when I’m sure I’ve got a slot for them so that they won’t get lost in the shuffle.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

- We made a $30,000 loss this month, though some of that was because I reduced the production knowing full well I’d be starting on a loss. I should have been more careful on locations as well though, we would have made more money if we’d stuck to our home base. Got to watch those purse strings.</div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">
