<div style="text-align:left;">The beginning of the end of the World Championship Wrestling.

July 7th, 1996. The day the world of professional wrestling changed forever.

If you were to ask any wrestling fan, past or present, what the only constant in wrestling was, they would surely answer "Hulkamania!" as quick as a hiccup. Hulk Hogan has always carried the world of wrestling on his shoulders since stepping into the squared circle of the World Wrestling Federation in 1984. Hulkamania ran wild for the first time as Hogan defeated The Iron Shiek to become Federation champion for the very first time. While preaching to say your prayers and eat your vitamins, Hulk Hogan's stock in the entertainment industry grew tenfold.

Appearing in big Hollywood flicks, such as Rocky III and Suburban Commando as well as showcasing his acting skills alongside Mr. T in the A-Team, it was clear that the blonde-haired behemoth was the ultimate face of this glorious sport. National newspapers, TV Guides, popular magazines, talk shows, and many other ventures brought Hulkamania to superstardom.

Hulk Hogan was to wrestling what Muhammad Ali was to Boxing. Hulk Hogan was the biggest icon in wrestling.

After leaving the World Wrestling Federation, Hulkamania would find a new home in Atlanta-based World Championship Wrestling. Hogan continued on carrying the flag of wrestling around the world as he quickly became the number one guy in his new home promotion.

Nobody could touch Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan was the ultimate good guy and face of the sport of pro wrestling.

That is until it came crashing down and it hurt inside.

Bash at the Beach 1996 at the Ocean Center in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida. The Outsiders, consisting of new WCW signees Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall and Kevin "Diesel" Nash, took on the beloved trio of Lex Luger, Sting, and "The Macho Man" Randy Savage. The latter fighting for the spirit of the World Championship Wrestling where the former were looking to take over. For weeks, Hall and Nash announced that they will have a third man join them in their quest to take over WCW.

Enter Hulk Hogan.

The former beloved face of World Championship Wrestling walked down to the ring and turned his back on all the Hulkamaniacs running wild around the world. Hogan delivered not one, not two, but three devastating leg drops to show his true colors. His blood was no longer red and yellow, but moreso black and white as he revealed to the world what they had just seen: that this is the New World Order of wrestling, brother.

"Mean Gene, the first thing you need to do is to tell these people to shut up if you wanna' hear what I've got to say… The first thing you gotta' realize, brother, is this right here is the future of wrestling. You can call this the New World Order of Wrestling. These two men right here came from a great big organization up north and everybody was wondering who the third man was. Well, who knows more about that organization than me, brother?… Let me tell you something. I made that organization a monster. I made people rich up there. I made the people that ran that organization rich up there. And when it all came to pass, the name Hulk Hogan, the man Hulk Hogan, got bigger than the whole organization. Billionaire Ted wanted to talk turkey with Hulk Hogan. Well Billionaire Ted promised me movies, brother. Billionaire Ted promised me millions of dollars. Billionaire Ted promised me world caliber matches. And as far as Billionaire Ted goes, Eric Bischoff, and the whole WCW goes, I'm bored brother. That's why these two guys here, the so-called outsiders, these are the men I want as my friends. They are the new blood of professional wrestling, brother. And not only are we going to take over the whole wrestling business with Hulk Hogan and the new blood, the monsters with me, we will destroy everything in our path, Mean Gene."

"As far as I'm concerned, all of this crap in the ring represents these fans out here. For two years, brother, for two years I held my head high. I did everything for the charities. I did everything for the kids. And the reception I got when I came out here - you fans can stick it, brother. Because if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan you people wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff would still be selling meat from a truck in Minneapolis. And if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, all these Johnny Come Lately's that you see out here wrestling wouldn't be here. I was selling out the world, brother, while they were pumping gas in their car to get to high school. So the way it is now, brother, with Hulk Hogan and the New World Organization of Wrestling, me and the new blood by my side, whatcha gonna do when the New World Order runs wild on you."

This right here, my fellow brothers, is the beginning of the end of the World Championship Wrestling.</div></div></div>

Looks like a nice concept and a good presentation thus far, looking forward to see what becomes of this! I'd maybe question whether the nWo angle was the actual 'beginning of the end' (for me, that was Starrcade 1997) but that's just semantics. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

On a small note, it's really difficult to tell the difference between the dark grey for nWo members and black for regular roster members on your legend. Would it be possible to use a different colour instead, for legibility?

This looks really good. What's the plan? Are you looking to keep it faithful to the flawed original or mix it up a bit? The WCW undercard at this time had some fantastic talent but were never gonna break through the glass ceiling, for example.

<div style="text-align:left;">The World Championship Wrestling cameras pan around the exciting fans in the heart of the Disney/MGM Studios in beautiful Orlando, Florida. We are outside in the sunny Floridian summer as our hosts for the first hour Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko welcome us to another edition of Monday Nitro, live on TNT! However, even though we have some exciting action planned tonight, the mood is somber in the WCW locker as everybody is feeling the effects of Hulk Hogan turning his back on the WCW last night at Bash at the Beach. Schiavone promises that there will be some stills shown of the historic events later on tonight during hour two of Nitro. Zbyszko mentions that what they did was cowardly and urges everyone to call their friends and family to tune in during the second hour to see how despicable Hulk Hogan truly is. Schiavone mentions that we will also see a big main event match later tonight as Sting will go one-on-one against “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson! Misterio earned this opportunity by defeating the critically-acclaimed Psychosis at the Bash at the Beach pay-per-view last night. Both men put up a good showing, as Misterio Jr. continues his mile-a-minute pace while the current champion drags the youngster from Mexico to the mat and tears into him with some devastating submission manoeuvers. In the end, after crotching Misterio on the top rope and hitting a ring shaking superplex for a near fall, Malenko looks to powerbomb the masked marvel but finds it reversed into a hurricanrana as Rey Misterio Jr. ends Malenko’s reign on the cruiserweight division with a quick one-two-three. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">A commercial airs for the next World Championship Wrestling pay-per-view event: Hog Wild! A first of it’s kind event, the WCW stars will be heading to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to battle it out on August 10th! Call your local cable and pay-per-view providers for more information in order to watch World Championship Wrestling live on pay-per-view. Schiavone and Zbyszko quickly question how Hulk Hogan and his friends Hall and Nash will be involved at Hog Wild while also reminding us that we will have some still shots from the disgusting conclusion of Bash at the Beach later tonight. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Backstage, “Mean” Gene Okerlund stands by a visibly upset Randy “Macho Man” Savage. The Macho Man has his neck all wrapped up from taking not one, not two, but three leg drops from Hulk Hogan last night at Bash at the Beach. Savage mentions that he used to trust Hulk Hogan and would do anything for Hogan since they made up from the differences in the past. But now all that has changed since Hulk Hogan showed his true colors last night. Savage says that he will make it his mission to get revenge against Hulk Hogan! Before leaving the backstage area, Savage actually invites the New World Order, as they called themselves, to meet him in the ring next week on Nitro! Okerlund is stunned and questions Macho’s sanity, but Savage tells the world that there is nothing to worry about and promises revenge. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">The Steiners Bros. (Rick and Scott Steiner) defeat The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) via count-out. </div><div style="text-align:left;">Two of the best tag teams today in the World Championship Wrestling face off in hard-hitting and teeth-clenching action. Scott and Rick use their superior wrestling knowledge when taking down the two men from Nastyville, but the bare-knuckled nasty brawlers make sure to land in their shots with some quick and dirty one-two combinations. The Nasty Boys’ cheap tactics weren’t enough to hold down the two collegiate athletes from Michigan, however. With some quick thinking, Jerry Sags pulls his partner out of the ring just before Scott hits a frankensteiner, as the Nasty Boys live to fight another day by being counted out in this week’s edition of Monday Nitro, live on TNT! </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">“Mean” Gene Okerlund enters the ring like a flash wanting some words from the Steiner brothers about last night’s actions from Hulk Hogan. Both Steiners agree that Hogan’s actions were despicable and that he should never show his face in the WCW locker room ever again. Scott adds that he is WCW through and through and if anybody has a problem with that, he will have a problem with them. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">A vignette is shown promoting the upcoming debut of the newest WCW star: Glacier! This mixed-martial-artist will take no prisoners. Blood runs cold. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Lord Steven Regal with Earl Robert Eaton, Squire Dave Taylor, and Jeeves defeats Hugh Morris with Big Bubba, and Jimmy Hart. </div><div style="text-align:left;">An interesting match-up here during the first hour of Monday Nitro as a member from the Blue Bloods battles a member from the Dungeon of Doom. The always ecstatic Hugh Morris seems to disgust Lord Steven Regal in the opening moments of the match as the Lord refuses to come near the big Morris. The action breaks down in the ring as both men vie for position throughout. A distraction from John Teneta leads to the finish as Tenta and Big Bubba brawl to the back of the Disney/MGM Studios locker room. While everybody in the ringside area is distracted, as is Hugh Morris, Lord Steven Regal delivers a dastardly low blow behind the referee’s back and then a roll-up for the pinfall victory. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko question Regal’s tactics for a victory tonight and then quickly announce that Ric Flair will be competing in singles action in just a few moments. However, remember to call your friends and family and tell them to tune in to WCW Monday Nitro here on TNT as we are going to see some stills from last night’s historic main event on the Bash at the Beach pay-per-view. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">WCW United States Champion Ric Flair with Woman and Elizabeth defeats Scott Norton with Ice Train in a non-title match. </div><div style="text-align:left;">This match here takes us into the second hour of this exciting WCW Monday Nitro broadcast as Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan take over at the commentary booth. A video insert is shown of The Giant commenting on Hulk Hogan’s actions last night. The Giant states that he isn’t a fan of what Hulk did, but commends him for finally telling the fans who booed him to stick it. Giant also adds that as long as he is WCW Champion, we have nothing to worry about. Flair looks to be troubled early on as Noron has the distinct size advantage over the reigning United States Champion. “The Dirtiest Player In The Game” takes advantage with his trademark dirty tactics that he kept up his sleeve. After a well-timed poke to the eye, Flair drops Scott “Flash” Norton with a piledriver and follows through with his vintage figure-four leglock, leaving Norton no other options but to tap out. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Standing near the entranceway to the ring, Ric Flair joins his fellow Four Horseman teammates to talk with “Mean” Gene Okerlund about the end to last night’s Bash at the Beach pay-per-view event. Anderson states that The Horsemen have never claimed to be role models, but Hulk Hogan did and that is why Hogan is the scum of the earth. Chris Benoit simply states that doesn’t care for Hulk Hogan’s new attitude because if they ever step in the ring together, Benoit will teach him a lesson in respect. Meanwhile, as Ric Flair celebrates his win by pouring himself some nice red wine, Steve “Mongo” McMichael says it’s now the Apocalypse but the Horsemen will always stand united. Flair finally cuts in and says he doesn’t care about Hogan and that he can last all night long and will remain the United States champion of the world. Woo!

Although not as good as the exciting opening contact from earlier, both Eddy Guerrero and Mr J.L. flew around the ring and impressed the millions of World Championship Wrestling fans. Mr J.L. missed a dive from the top rope which allowed for Guerrero to connect with a beautiful frog splash for the hard earned victory. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Scott Armstrong defeats Jim Powers. </div><div style="text-align:left;">A quick match between these two lower card competitors on Monday Nitro. Around the thirty second mark of the match, a black limousine pulls up right next to the Disney/MGM Studios arena as the announcers can’t help but speculate that the limo belongs to the New World Order. Armstrong quickly pinned Powers after a superkick for the victory but the eyes remained on the limousine which ominously sits in the corner of the arena, with the windows tinted to black. No camera is able to peek through. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">The door of the limousine opens up as the crowd anticipates with buzz to see who it is. Instead of a big name exiting the vehicle, a scared stooge stagehand quickly gets out and walks over the commentary desk and grabs a microphone as Bischoff and Heenan question what he’s doing. The stooge doesn’t say a word and returns inside the limousine. Who might be inside the limo that is looming here outside the ring at the Disney/MGM Studios. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Sting defeats Arn Anderson. </div><div style="text-align:left;">Our main event contest of tonight’s edition of Monday Nitro on TNT pits two of WCW’s biggest stars against one another. The crowd is split in half, not knowing who to cheer as they love both of these men. Sting shows the effects of last night’s main event match, showing a slight limp. Anderson takes advantage of the potential Sting injury. After some exciting minutes of action, the door of the limousine opens up once more as Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, collectively known as The Outsiders, step out looking to cause mischief here on WCW Nitro. Sting and Anderson both become distracted by The Outsiders as they try to lock up and continue the match but keep on eye on the outside interference. As Sting throws Anderson against the ropes, Hall trips “The Enforcer” as Anderson falls to the ground. Sting doesn’t realize that Hall tripped Anderson and finishes the match with a Stinger Splash for the pinfall victory. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Outside the ring, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, for some reason, clap for Sting’s victory as they are all smiles. Sting looks on confused as Anderson tells the referee that they had tripped him. Heenan questions if Sting is on their side too, as The Outsiders just helped Sting be victorious here tonight. Suddenly, out from the back, comes “Macho Man” Randy Savage who slides into the ring and invites The Outsiders to join him in the ring for a donnybrook. Hall and Nash simply cockily smile it off while both giving a thumbs up to Sting. The Outsiders return to shelter in the black limousine which drives off. However, it doesn’t leave silently as the famous voice of Hulk Hogan emerges on the speakers with three simple words: “Stick it, brothers!”. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">The cameras return to Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan who are both confused at what had transpired during the main event. Heenan continues to question Sting’s involvement with the new trio, while stating that he doesn’t know who to trust in WCW anymore after yesterday. Bischoff doesn’t say much as he introduces the still images from last night’s Bash at the Beach main event. Images of Hulk Hogan turning his back on the World Championship Wrestling fans, staff, and stars by joining with The Outsiders. The images of Hogan, Hall, and Nash in a trash-filled ring from last night’s pay-per-view close out tonight’s edition of Monday Nitro, live on TNT.</div></div></blockquote></blockquote></blockquote>

Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes are our hosts tonight and Tony is still visibly upset from Hulk Hogan turning on the WCW fans just last Sunday at Bash at the Beach. Dusty claims that life will go on and that he has a gut feeling that another WCW star will rise up and become the hero we deserve, daddeh. Schiavone runs down tonight’s one hour card featuring “The Macho Man” Randy Savage in action. Also, do not forget to catch the Atlanta Braves sqaure off against the Florida Marlins right after tonight’s WCW Saturday Night action.

Psychosis defeats Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Kicking off tonight’s WCW show is the action-packed fast-paced cruiserweight division. Psychosis is making his WCW Saturday night debut, after making his WCW debut at Bash at the Beach, against a member of the famous Guerrero family: Chavo Guerrero Jr. Both luchadores trade fast-paced offense and near falls that dazzled the Disney/MGM crowd but Psychosis proved to be the better luchadore here tonight as he performed his psycho guillotine diving leg drop for the one-two-three.

Backstage at the Disney/MGM Studios, “Mean” Gene Okerlund stands by with the new WCW Cruiserweight champion Rey Misterio Jr. Misterio says that the third time is the charm and he his happy to represent Mexico by defeating Malenko this past Monday night on Nitro. The new champion also adds that despite being disappointed by Hulk Hogan’s actions from Bash at the Beach he will gladly be the role model WCW needs for all the young children in the world. Okerlund asks if Misterio has any plans to defend his newly won championship anytime soon. Misterio Jr. states that he will take on any challengers, but lays down the challenge to Dean Malenko, telling “The Iceman” that he can have a rematch anytime he wants.

Diamond Dallas Page defeats Billy Kidman.

A size mis-match in our second contest of the evening as Billy Kidman represents the cruiserweight division against Diamond Dallas Page. The youngster Kidman does gain the initial momentum of the match by being the quicker athlete, but a back elbow to the face stops all of said momentum as “DDP” dominates the rest of the match. Dallas finished the match with his Diamond Cutter for the pinfall victory.

Meng and The Barbarian with Jimmy Hart defeats The American Males.

The faces of fear of Meng and The Barbarian take on the former WCW World Tag Team champions during this action-packed edition of WCW Saturday Night. Both teams are proficient when it comes to tag team wrestling, a fact that Dusty Rhodes puts over multiple times during the many double-team maneuvers of the bout. Scotty Riggs was looking to finish the larger Barbarian until a Leprechaun crawls out from under the ring and runs around the ring causing a distraction. Jimmy Hart laughs at ringside as Meng tags himself in a connects with a beautiful savate kick for the pinfall win.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund darts to the ring to catch a word with The American Males, as the members of the Dungeon of Doom quickly left the ringside area following the match as the Leprechaun follows them. Okerlund questions what the American Males thoughts are following Hulk Hogan’s actions at Bash at the Beach. Bagwell suggests that he doesn’t like the way Hogan turned his back but he doesn’t really care about it. Meanwhile, Scotty Riggs says he is still upset that Hogan turned his back on the WCW and should they ever come face to face, Riggs will pull no punches. Bagwell discreetly rolls his eyes in the background as Okerlund thanks them for their time.

Prince Iaukea defeats El Gato.

A quick cruiserweight match between two foreign WCW stars in the making. El Gato’s master use of the strong style lucha libre brought a great fight against Prince’s dominant judo skills. El Gato did gain the momentum early on, but Iaukea’s devastating judo strikes doubled him over, allowing Prince to connect with a Diving DDT for the one-two-three.

Greg Valentine defeats Bill Payne.

This match was all Greg “The Hammer” Valentine who made quick work of the local competitor here in the heart of the Disney/MGM Studios. Following a quick piledriver around a minute and a half in, Valentine is able to shoot the half for the pinfall win.

Konnan defeats Cuba’s Top Gunn.

Another squash match that highlights a rejuvenated Konnan who has recently lost the WCW United States Championship to the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Konnan brought his a-game against Cuba’s Top Gunn, who was quickly defeated in a few minutes.

“Mean” Gene Okerlund comes to the ring like a flash to interview the Mexican. Konnan reveals that he got optical nerve damage following his match with Ric Flair but promises to regain the WCW United States Championship when he gets the chance. As for the nWo, Konnan states that his allegiance right now is with Rey Misterio Jr. and the other luchadores in WCW. However, after Hogan turning his back, he doesn’t know who he can fully trust.

Randy Savage defeats Maxx with Jimmy Hart.

Although our main event of the evening is not the prettiest match ever, it doesn’t have to be. Maxx, representing The Dungeon of Doom, was the larger wrestler, but Randy Savage was in firm control from start to finish. Obviously still mad from Hulk Hogan turning his back on WCW, Savage was able to unleash some of his anger here on TBS. After a few minutes of beating down the Dungeon of Doom member, Savage connected with a beautiful body slam and finished the match with not one, not two, but three devastating elbow drops from the top rope for the final one-two-three of the evening.

Randy Savage grabs himself a microphone as reminds everybody that he is inviting Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan to meet him eye to eye in the middle of the ring on Monday Night during Nitro. Savage says that if nobody from the WCW locker room wants to join him than he will fight this New World Order on his own.

Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes recap the events of tonight’s edition of WCW Saturday Night including the fast-paced cruiserweight action and the main event. Rhodes recalls that he said WCW will find a new hero and he thinks that hero is “The Macho Man” Randy Savage. Schiavone thanks everyone for joining them tonight and don’t forget to catch Nitro on Monday and to stay right here on TBS to catch the Atlanta Braves face the Florida Marlins in Major League Baseball action!

<div style="text-align:left;">WCW Monday Nitro is once again live from the Disney/MGM studios in beautiful sunny Orlando, Florida. Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko are once again our hosts for the first hour of this monumental broadcast. Schiavone notes that things became heated in the heart of Disney/MGM Studios as The Outsiders showed up inside a black limousine. Zbyszko reminds us that “Macho Man” Randy Savage has promised to call out the New World Order to meet him face to face in the middle of the ring. Larry states that the forming of this new powerful trio must have made something inside of the “Macho Man” snap, as it could very well be a three-on-one situation if the nWo show up tonight. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">The Steiner Bros. (Rick and Scott Steiner) defeat Fire & Ice (Scott Norton and Ice-Train). </div><div style="text-align:left;">Following a victory over the Nasty Boys last week on Nitro, Rick and Scott Steiner look to continue to build momentum to potentially earn a World Tag Team title shot against Harlem Heat. However, they had the big task of facing Scott “Flash” Norton and the big Ice-Train. Norton and Ice-Train had quite a few communication problems throughout, including Ice-Train accidentally squashing Norton in the corner after Scott Steiner moved out of the way. With Rick right behind to clotheslines Train out of the ring, Scott finished the match with a frankensteiner to Scott Norton for the one-two-three. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Scott and Rick Steiner return to the backstage area here at the Disney/MGM Studios as Tony Schiavone does mention that the team of Fire & Ice have been having some problems lately as a team and that this loss will surely not help the friction in the team. As Schiavone finishes that sentence, Scott Norton and Ice-Train come face-to-face in the middle of the ring with both men blaming the other for their recent losing ways. A few WCW referees run out to try and get the wrestlers out of the ring, Ice-Train finally snaps and connects with a hard right-hand to the jaw of “Flash”. Train then exits the ring while shaking his head, declaring to the roaming camera that the team of Fire & Ice is finished. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">“Mean” Gene Okerlund is backstage alongside Dungeon of Doom members Kevin Sullivan, Jimmy Hart, and Big Bubba. Okerlund asks Sullivan about his opinions on Hulk Hogan turning his back on the WCW at Bash at the Beach. Sullivan states that he knew all along that Hogan has been an evil man ever since he first joined WCW and he is not surprised by Hogan’s actions. Jimmy Hart then brings up our main event match-up tonight where Lex Luger will be defending his WCW Television championship against Big Bubba. Hart says that Luger won’t have to worry about any of his injuries from Bash at the Beach, because Big Bubba will rip out his retina and give him a concussion! It’s Big Bubba versus Lex Luger during the second hour of WCW Monday Nitro! </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">A vignette is shown promoting the upcoming debut of the newest WCW star: Glacier! This mixed-martial-artist will take no prisoners. Blood runs cold. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Diamond Dallas Page defeats The Renegade. </div><div style="text-align:left;">Even though he was fired up and had the crowd firmly behind him, The Renegade didn’t get much in offense-wise when it came to this match against the egotistical Diamond Dallas Page. Renegade did manage to clothesline the “Diamond Stud” but instead of following through, he exited the ring and did a few victory laps around the ring. Upon reentering the ring, The Renegade walked right into a Diamond Cutter from DDP which finished the match. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">“Mean” Gene Okerlund enters the ring for some post-match comments from Diamond Dallas Page. Page, with a smile on his face from the victory, claims that he is, without a doubt, the best wrestler competing in WCW today and he promptly challenges “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair to a match for the WCW United States championship at Hog Wild! DDP finishes by saying that Diamonds are forever, and he is the true diamond of WCW. “Mean” Gene thanks him for the interview and states that they will have an update on the WCW United States championship match later this week on the WCW Hotline! </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Tony Schiavone and Larry Zbyszko go over the news that was announced on the WCW Hotline this past week about the WCW Hog Wild pay-per-view event: Rey Misterio Jr. defends his newly won WCW Cruiserweight championship in a rematch against “The Iceman” Dean Malenko. Schiavone announces that somebody in the WCW office has signed a document earlier today that grants Hulk Hogan a match against The Giant for the WCW World Heavyweight championship at Hog Wild! Schiavone and Zbyszko both question the sanity of the man in office who signed the match, but they both don’t know who would be the one to sign it. They question if there is a member in the WCW office who is a member of the nWo. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Chris Benoit with Woman defeats Eddy Guerrero. </div><div style="text-align:left;">An excellent match to take us into the second hour of WCW Monday Nitro as these two competitor go the distance in a twenty minute pay-per-view caliber quality match-up. Both Benoit and Guerrero countered one another’s maneuvers. Both men gave their all in the match, with Eddy almost connecting with the frog splash and Benoit not being able to pull through with his crossface submission. This match eventually boiled down to whomever could hit their finishing move first would win the match. As Eddy jumped off the top rope for the frog splash, Benoit caught the arm and locked in a vicious crossface for the hard-earned victory. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Eric Bischoff and Bobby Heenan take over at the commentary desk as we are now in the second power hour of WCW Monday Nitro! The first thing out of Bischoff’s mouth was a reminder that he received notice just before coming on the air that the New World Order will be answering “Macho Man’s” challenge to come face-to-face during this second hour. Heenan wonders where Bischoff got that information, as “The Brain” himself never received word. Bischoff replies that he has his own sources. They continue to hype the card for later tonight, including a Television championship match between Lex Luger and Big Bubba. Let’s get to the action. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Madusa defeats Malia Osuka. </div><div style="text-align:left;">A quick showcase match for Madusa, who is known as the leader of WCW’s Women’s division. Malia Osuka is a young wrestler who comes by way of Hawaii who is looking to get a taste of international fame by competing live on Monday Nitro! As promised on the WCW hotline, Bull Nakano did show up alongside Sonny. Not the blonde haired bimbo from the WWF, but her manager: Sonny Onoo. Onoo and Nakano tried to distract the fiery Madusa to no avail, as Madusa connects with a bridging german suplex for the pinfall. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Madusa quickly slides out of the ring as Bull Nakano enters alongside Sonny Onoo. After stalking the downed Malia Osuka for a moment, Nakano picks up the Hawaiian by the hair and planted her on the ground with the bull’s poseidon, a back-to-belly piledriver! Nakano laughs at her carnage in the ring as “Mean” Gene Okerlund joins Madusa at the entrance of the Disney/MGM Studios WCW arena. Madusa promptly challenges Bull Nakano to a match at Hog Wild! Sonny Onoo shakes his head in acceptance from the ring, confirming the match for the next wild pay-per-view event! </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">A commercial airs for the next World Championship Wrestling pay-per-view event: Hog Wild! A first of it’s kind event, the WCW stars will be heading to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to battle it out on August 10th! Call your local cable and pay-per-view providers for more information in order to watch World Championship Wrestling live on pay-per-view. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Sgt. Craig Pittman with Teddy Long defeats Mark Starr. </div><div style="text-align:left;">Another quick showcase match here on WCW Monday Nitro as Teddy Long’s client Sgt. Craig Pittman completely dominated the unlucky Mark Starr. Starr tried to garner some offence, but Pittman quickly finished him off with his code red cross armbreaker. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">All eyes quickly shifted to the corner of the makeshift arena as a black limousine drives up which seems a lot like the New World Order’s entrance last week on Nitro. The fans buzz in anticipation wondering who might be in the limousine this week. However, without hesitation, Randy “Macho Man” Savage runs out from the back with a baseball bat in hand and immediately runs over to smash the back window of the limousine! Savage quickly realizes that it isn’t the nWo, however it is Steve “Mongo” McMichael and his wife Debra in the limousine! “Mongo” is upset that Savage vandalized his expensive limo, but their attention quickly turns to the top of the entranceway where Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are standing among the WCW letters, which are now covered in white drapes where the letters “nWo” is spray painted. Savage is upset, partially due to no Hulk Hogan, and because The Outsiders punked him out here tonight. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Meng with Jimmy Hart defeats Arn Anderson with Woman, Elizabeth, Debra McMichael, and Steve McMichael. </div><div style="text-align:left;">A good quick match between members of the Dungeon of Doom and the Four Horseman. Meng gains the advantage early on but the technical prowess of “The Enforcer” shows its head later on during the match. Steve “Mongo” McMichael was holding his dog Pepe during the match but most of the focus of the match was on The Outsiders, who were now leaning on the nWo-covered WCW letters on top of the entranceway watching the match. After tripping the feet of Anderson, Jimmy Hart found himself chased to the backstage area by Woman, Elizabeth, and Debra but The Barbarian snuck his way to the ring to cause a distraction as Steve McMichael was inspecting the damage Randy Savage had done to his limousine. With the distraction, Meng was able to connect with a savate kick to pick up the pinfall victory. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">A vignette is highlighted promoting WCW Saturday Night this weekend on TBS at 6:05pm! Don’t miss your favorite WCW stars. This Saturday, you can watch Hacksaw Jim Duggan in singles action, The Blue Bloods take on two members of the Four Horseman, and a special cruiserweight division match between Psychosis and Rey Misterio Jr. in a rematch from Bash at the Beach. </div><div style="text-align:left;">

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Lex Luger went to a no contest against Big Bubba with Jimmy Hart in a match for the WCW Television championship. </div><div style="text-align:left;">Our main event of the evening tonight pitted “The Total Package” Lex Luger defending his WCW World Television championship against the Dungeon of Doom’s Big Bubba. At ringside stood Jimmy Hart, who’s face is all red with slap marks from the previous match. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were still leaning on top of the entranceway, looking to cause havoc here on WCW Monday Nitro. As Luger and Big Bubba brawled in the middle of the ring with terrible looking punches, papers and small debris start flying everywhere in the heart of the Disney/MGM Studios as a helicopter flies down and lands to the right of the makeshift arena as the attention to the ring shifts towards the helicopter. As the helicopter touches down to the ground, Hall and Nash jump inside the ring and take out both Luger and Big Bubba, prompting the referee to call the match!

</div><div style="text-align:left;">Bobby Heenan goes nuts as the door of the helicopter slides open as Hulk Hogan steps out dressed in black and white while wearing a nWo tee-shirt! The fans boo the turncoat who enters the ring and punches out both Lex Luger and Big Bubba! The nWo stand tall in the middle of the ring, while giving each other a special highfive that Bischoff calls Too-Sweeting. “The Macho Man” Randy Savage runs out from the back without his baseball bat, which is still caught in Steve McMichael’s limo. Savage tries to attack Hogan, but is swiftly beat down by the trio. Soon, almost the entire WCW locker room files out, (sans The Giant or Ric Flair, who are currently on tour in Japan)! Hall, Nash, and Hogan quickly leave the ring and fly off in the helicopter as Scott Steiner punches the copper as it takes off. The WCW locker room stand united in the heart of the Disney/MGM Studios, but Hennan only has one question as WCW Monday Nitro comes to a close: “Where’s Sting? Everybody else is out here but Sting.”</div></div></blockquote></blockquote></blockquote>
