I'm thinking the following Saturday (right before the week 4 preseason games). I've found this tends to be the best time as most teams have decided on their starters, injuries have taken place, and you've had a chance to scout "lesser known players" that could be your BIG dark horse pickup in the draft/FA/trade scenarios.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em> My thought, as said above, is to have the draft on a Saturday. We could push during the week; however, it would have to be after 7PM Mountain Time and that puts it rather late for any east coast handlers. So, Saturday could be our best bet. From there, I am going to create an official thread that will house our actual league itself. Nothing too crazy, but I want this league to really have its own legs & to be exciting enough to have a life of its own. EDIT: Also, I recommend making the regular season 14 games, with 1 week playoffs on 16 and 17. 17 is when starters are often benched, so to have that week be a deciding factor can be annoying. Also, perhaps there should be six playoff teams, since there are only 4 currently.</p>

I have tentatively set our league draft for Saturday, September 3rd @ 2:00 PM ET. The date and time are negotiable; however, I wanted to set a time to at least start a good conversation on the matter.

 

I like the idea of the 3rd, as the 8th is the start of the NFL regular season. By the 3rd, we will have seen the entire preseason process, and will have a better idea of who we may want to target in the draft. This helps with injuries, unexpected risers, and whether or not to bank on a new offensive system.

<strong>After sending out the last email invites, I guess we have hit our 12 teams. I don't know how I overlooked that, but I'm happy that I did. ha. I'm still waiting on three handlers to create their teams: k-nection, lukess11, and Rayelek. There's no major rush, as the draft isn't until September, but I plan on creating our league thread in the next week or so.</strong>
