Board Effort Mod (Limited Beta)

Recommended Posts

Nearly a decade in the making with a who's who of contributors going back to at least TEW 2008...

Needing testers for a limited beta to work with or work on issues that TEW 2013 & 2016 may have generated with the numerous new features.

And to finally push this mod to a proper full release.

Japan

Japan is the home of Kokka No Wrestling the largest and currently most powerful company in the world. But Kokka No is in a small crisis as it's stars are aging and no one in their developmental company IPD seem ready to take the company into the future. Japan is also home to several smaller upstart companies looking to take a big bite out of the Japanese market before KNW has a chance to recover.
Mexico

Mexico is a literal war zone between 2 national powerhouses, the old traditional GLLM and the MPWA which uses the American Sport Entertainment model and is a hit with the younger audience. GLLM locked most of the traditional styled wrestlers into long-term contracts while MPWA raided the stagnate American scene pilfering some of it's best talent including an ultra-popular American Wrestler/Movie Star/Musician.
Canada

The great white north is home to the elite... the Elite Wrestling Organization... a massive homegrown company that like the MPWA in Mexico has plundered America for talent on it's way to becoming one of the 5 Super Powers of the wrestling world. It's dominance is so thorough that only two other companies exist with each taking up residence on opposing coasts.
United States

Once upon a time the Federal Wrestling Council was the governing body for most of the known wrestling world and even counted GLLM and KNW among its members. The US-A eventually rose up and began signing away it's members talent and became the dominant wrestling force in the world before being rocked by scandals and the death of it's founder. This combined with 3 powerhouses in neighboring countries (2 of which continuously raided the country for talent) and a handful of other scandals saw the American wrestling scene all but collapse. It is now home to more than a dozen regional or smaller companies (including US-A) hoping to revive the American scene. Some have joined the floundering FWC alliance in hopes of returning it to it's former glory. The legendary veteran Aharon Writzen has returned to wrestling in support of the FWC revival even going so far as to donate his original World heavyweight title last held by his grandson.
<p>Also considering changes to the user avatar system since for the last two versions you can use any character in the database. </p><p> </p><p>

So why not make the actual owners and bookers the avatars and incorporate the original avatars in with the rest of the characters?</p>

I agree on using the excisting user characters as workers

But it's not my primary focus as much as stability to game play. Plus I'm sure there may be areas with low talent pools which is what I'm looking at for spikes in randomly generated new workers. Not going to get much done on my end as I'm heading out of town in a few hours and then will be gone for 10 more.</p><p> </p><p> I also still have a remaining 10 or so broadcasters to incorporate from the old data once I get feedback on gaps in coverage with the current set-up. </p><p> </p><p> And no companies need logos in mine but there were missing banners.</p><p> </p><p> Belts I have 158 but only 138 titles so not sure how that stacks up to yours.</p><p> </p><p> As for BDW rerun it and I'll bet it will close at a different time. So you'll probably have to run it multiple times to get a good baseline for closures.</p>

I figure it's one of these 3.</p><p> </p><p> 1. ZNtv is supposed to be owned by the media group.</p><p> 2. Broadcaster is missing altogether.</p><p> 3. Or it was never added at all.</p><p> </p><p> Add the media group as owner of ZNtv and see if it lasts longer.</p>

Sent out the .2 and the preliminary graphics.

I still have an abundance of masked renders to assign. But not much in the way of female renders left.

Trying to get a hold of Aja too off-site through his e-mail since he did so many of the company logos and events. One particular set is completely his and not sure how to advance it without him unless it's completely scrapped and redesigned.

 • 2 weeks later...

Limited submissions...

New active companies for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Iberia, Italy and South East Europe are being accepted.
Roster is optional.

Partial roster is acceptable too. (Owner, Figurehead, etc.)

Regional or smaller.

Begins in 2010 or later

Logo and banner preferred

Can't conflict with existing active and future companies.

Female companies with a full roster though will possibly need renders provided.

Future companies being accepted

<p>April 1st, 2017 Full beta release coming</p><p> </p><p>

The mod is still missing a lot of renders and title histories but I know at least for renders players always add more themselves. Anyway despite what is still missing above and beyond those two categories I have been enjoying this mod for the better part of the last two years and I feel it is high time for the rest of the community to enjoy as well.</p><p> </p><p>

After the beta release tomorrow I will as time allows be working multiple angles to improve the mod.</p><p> </p><p>

1. Rolling back the mod 30-40 years and moving it forward organically allowing for a natural title history to take place.</p><p> </p><p>

2. The official game starts in 2010 as it was when I joined the mod team for TEW2010 and I will roll it forward at least twice with 2013 & 2016 start dates pending future TEW releases (TEW2020? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)</p><p> </p><p>

3. And whatever else comes up that I think will improve it. </p><p>

(I actually had a much grander 3rd idea but taking care of my wife and it completely slipped my mind what I originally intended to put here. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />)</p>

This will probably be pushed back to a Monday or Tuesday release as my wife went back into the hospital at midnight last night. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
