MLW Fight Night begins with the usual shot of the camera panning through the crowd, capturing the fans as they get set for another night of some of the best action the independent wrestling scene has to offer. After a few moments, the camera catches up with Jim Ross and Chael Sonnen at the commentary table. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Welcome everybody to Major League Wrestling Fight Night, broadcasting from the official MLW YouTube channel. I’m Jim Ross, and with me as always is my partner, Chael Sonnen. </p><p> </p><p>

Last week’s broadcast was bookended by two great bouts. In the main event, we saw Michael Elgin beat Adam Cole, and afterwards, Adam Cole and Cody Rhodes, who was with us on commentary for the match, go into a bit of a scuffle and had to be separated by members of MLW security. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> Rhodes and Cole have been at each other’s throats for a few months now, and I doubt that the issues between the two of them get solved any time soon. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Cody Rhodes will be in action in tonight’s main event, and we’re scheduled to hear from him before the bout. </p><p> </p><p>

But until then, why don’t we get started with the first match?</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>The camera turns its focus to the entranceway where Drew Gulak and TJ Perkins are on curtain jerking duties for the night. Collectively known as Catch Club, the two were victorious in their match last week against Jesse Sorensen and Tony Nese.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Opposite them tonight are Sean Waltman, formerly known as X-Pac in the WWE, and his partner Jimmy Rave. Waltman and Rave participated alongside Michael Elgin as part of Team NWA during the MLW Heritage Cup match at The Underground, and are making another guest appearance on tonight’s broadcast.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Catch Club (Drew Gulak and TJ Perkins) vs. Sean Waltman and Jimmy Rave</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The action in this match wasn’t quite up to scratch with what is normally expected from these four competitors, but the crowd gave it a decent reaction regardless. </p><p> </p><p>

Overall, it was evident that Drew Gulak was carrying the other competitors through the bout, though <strong>TJP</strong> is the one that secured victory for Catch Club in 9:09 after catching Rave with an 86er. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Gulak and Perkins celebrate two victories in two weeks, and from there, we’re taken backstage where Brittany Lewis is getting ready to interview Bobby Roode, the de facto number one contender for the MLW Heayweight Championship</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> Bobby Roode, in just a few weeks, you’ll finally get your one-on-one match with CM Punk for the MLW Heavyweight Championship. How are you preparing for that bout?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> Prepare? For what? I already know that I can beat CM Punk. I don’t have to do anything differently than I normally would.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> But CM Punk did pin you at The Underground to retain the title in the four way match. That doesn’t change your mindset at all?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> I hope you have a pen and paper Brittany because I’m going to clue you in on something. </p><p> </p><p>

Any successful business man such as myself knows that there are four ingredients to any successful venture: hard work, determination, talent … and dumb luck. </p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk talks all about his hard work, determination and talent. It’s all he ever talks about. But what he doesn’t talk about is dumb luck. He claims “luck is for losers,” but without luck, he would be a loser. </p><p> </p><p>

Him pinning me to retain the title a couple of weeks ago at The Underground, that was the epitome of dumb luck. But what happens when luck runs out and hard work, determination and talent aren’t enough.</p><p> </p><p>

I work harder than CM Punk — I wouldn’t be as wealthy as I am if I didn’t. I’m more determined than CM Punk, and I’m sure as hell more talented. </p><p> </p><p>

Three weeks … in three weeks’ time, I’ll be crowned the new champion of MLW and it’ll be glorious! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a match coming up next. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Roode concludes the interview, his robe glittering as he walks off in the direction of the entrance tunnel.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Before going back to ringside, the TV audience is shown a graphic reminding them of the night’s main event. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Later on tonight, Cody Rhode will wrestle against Chris Hero in the main event. The two have yet to square off in a one-on-one match in MLW, though Hero is on Rhodes’ list of wrestlers he would like to face while touring the independents. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

From there, we’re taken to ringside where Tyson Dux makes his entrance. Dux has appeared irregularly in MLW, though his matches have generally been of decent quality. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

He’s followed soon afterward by the man we just heard from, Bobby Roode, the number one contender for CM Punk’s MLW Heavyweight Championship, by way of technicality of course.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tyson Dux vs. Bobby Roode</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Dux and Roode put together a really good bout, and this was perhaps a better match than the fans originally expected given their reaction, which grew increasingly positive as the match went on. </p><p> </p><p>

Despite being the number one contender due to legal ramifications, Roode proved that he’s still an exceptional talent in the ring and can back up his words with action. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roode</strong> picked up the victory with a Roode Bomb after 7:29 of action to build a little bit of momentum going into his title match against CM Punk in just a few weeks. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As the bell rings to signal the end of the match, Roode soaks in the victory, maybe a little bit too much given that it amounted to not much more than a routine win. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

From there, we’re taken backstage to the women’s locker room where Candice LeRae is seen watching the show on the room’s flat screen TV.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Candice%20LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Candice%20LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Candice%20LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Candice%20LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Candice LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg"/></a></p><p> </p><p>

As she watches Roode celebrate and then make his way to the back, Scarlett Bordeaux enters the locker room, dressed in her wrestling gear once more and initiating conversation with Candice.</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Scarlett%20Bordeaux%202_zpsjy2xvvyz.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Scarlett%20Bordeaux%202_zpsjy2xvvyz.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Scarlett%20Bordeaux%202_zpsjy2xvvyz.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Scarlett%20Bordeaux%202_zpsjy2xvvyz.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Scarlett Bordeaux 2_zpsjy2xvvyz.jpg"/></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett Bordeaux:</strong> So you saw my match last week?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Candice LeRae:</strong> You had a match last week?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett Bordaux:</strong> Um, duh. Where have you been? Everyone’s been talking about my come from behind victory last week!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Candice:</strong> I haven’t heard anyone say anything. Guess I need to get out more often … </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett Bordeaux:</strong>Well aren’t you in luck then. I’m on next; maybe you might learn a thing or two. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Candice looks like she’s giving it all she’s got trying to stifle a laugh, but the thought of Scarlett teaching her something about wrestling is almost too much for her to bear. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Candice tries to keep a straight face, Scarlett turns away swiftly, making sure to whip Candice in the face with her hair as she gets ready to go on next.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Back at ringside, Scarlett’s opponent for the night, local worker Misty James is already in the ring. Though Scarlett was able to escape with a clean victory last week, it’ll be interesting to see how she copes with the challenge of Misty, who looks a lot more intimidating than Kylie Pierce, Scarlett’s opponent from last week.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Scarlett’s music begins to play and she makes her way down to the ring, looking a lot more confident than she did last week, probably because she let the win get to her head. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Despite the obvious size difference between the two, Scarlett somehow thinks it wise to throw some insults Misty’s way as she enters the ring.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett Bordeaux vs. Misty James</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Despite her talk, Scarlett spent more of her time avoiding Misty in the ring than actually trying to be physical, making for a terrible contest overall. </p><p> </p><p>

Just like last week though, Scarlett did show some flashes of actual wrestling talent and savvy.</p><p> </p><p>

Once Misty was able to catch hold of her, she whipped Scarlett into the turnbuckle, just as Kylie Pierce had done last week. </p><p> </p><p>

This time, Misty looked to run from one end of the ring to the other for a corner splash, but Scarlett played possum, allowing Misty to make her run, only to move out of the way, thus causing Misty to splash into the corner with nobody home. </p><p> </p><p>

</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> I’m here with Cody Rhodes, and Cody, last week you and Adam Cole had to be separated by security after an altercation at ringside. Can you explain the situation between you two?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cody Rhodes:</strong> What is there to explain? I think Roderick Strong said it best last week; Adam Cole is a crybaby who would rather have big opportunities handed to him rather than working hard like the rest of us. </p><p> </p><p>

I don’t like him, he doesn’t like me. That’s not changing any time soon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> Speaking of Roderick Strong, he mentioned the respect he has for you. Do you share that same respect for him?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cody Rhodes:</strong> The respect is definitely mutual. Roddy and I aren’t what you’d call best friends, but he’s one of the best this industry has to offer and I respect the hell out of him. </p><p> </p><p>

I’ve fought alongside him a couple times, and there aren’t many people I’d choose to go to war with over Roddy. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> And, up next, you have a main event match against none other than Chris Hero. Can you tell us your thoughts going in?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cody Rhodes:</strong> Matches like this one are the biggest reason why I made the decision to come to MLW as soon as the offer was presented to me. </p><p> </p><p>

I don’t know Chris Hero on a personal level, nor do I have any desire to get to know him, but what I do know about him is that he’s a mean son of a bitch. He’s gonna push me to my limits and I’ll do my damnedest to push him to his. </p><p> </p><p>

It’s the kind of challenge I relish, and a win would put me right back on the path to my ultimate goal: the MLW Heavyweight Championship. </p><p> </p><p>

Unlike Adam Cole, I’m going to let my performances in the ring dictate whether I deserve to be back in title contention. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> Cody Rhodes, willing to do it the hard way. Well, good luck in your match tonight Cody, and thanks for the interview! </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As Brittany concludes the interview with Cody Rhodes, the camera moves to another area backstage where MVP is seen walking through the hallway. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<strong>MVP:</strong> What’s up?</p><p> </p><p>

<em>MVP asks suspiciously, likely anticipating a set-up from his former ally.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Homicide:</strong> Ain’t no need to be lookin’ so tense, ese. It’s only me; I didn’t bring nobody else. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MVP:</strong> I ain’t tense, I just know how y’all are rollin’ these days and I ain’t got time for all that. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Homicide:</strong> Alright man, well I’ma keep it short then. I may not always see eye-to-eye with Low Ki, but I still go respect for him. </p><p> </p><p>

I know we all used to be cool, but if it comes down to it, I got his back. I don’t want things to have to get physical between us, you heard?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MVP:</strong> Back in the hood, when you say something like that to someone it means you’re looking for a fight. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Homicide:</strong> Like I said, I ain’t tryna fight. I’m just warning you not to do something that’ll get your ass hurt. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MVP:</strong> Aight then. I see what’s up. Why don’t we stop trying to avoid the inevitable? I’ll see you in that ring next week and show you who should be the one worried about getting hurt. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>MVP walks away from the scene, not even bothering to watch his back, despite Homicide’s nature to attack whenever he sees an opening. </em></p><p><em>

As MVP walks off, Homicide watches after him breathing heavily, a menacing look on his face. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

After the backstage confrontation, we’re taken to ringside where Chris Hero makes his entrance to the ring. Hero was last in action two weeks ago, where he came out looking strong after a win over Sabu. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Once Hero is in the ring, Cody Rhodes makes his way to ringside as well. Rhodes has his usual cocky yet confident and determined demeanor, and seems more than prepared for the challenge at hand as he enters the ring. </em></p><p><em>

Hero on the other hand, leans against turnbuckle, a blank expression on his face, seemingly unimpressed by the caliber of opponent he is set to face. To him, it’s just another person standing in his path to achieving his ultimate goal.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero vs. Cody Rhodes</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The main event was an exceptional contest from start to finish, and both performers excelled, with hardly a misstep throughout the entire match. </p><p> </p><p>

The contest was an even affair throughout, and it looked like either man could walk out with the victory at any time. </p><p> </p><p>

Towards the end of the match, Rhodes is on the offensive and manages to get take Hero down with a DDT. As he looks to set up the finishing blow, Adam Cole comes charging down the aisle and takes a step up onto the apron yelling more insults at Rhodes. </p><p> </p><p>

With Hero down, Rhodes takes some time to confront Cole for coming down to interfere in his match, and then pushes him off the apron. </p><p> </p><p>

As soon as Cole is down on the arena floor, Rhodes is grabbed from behind by Hero, who has since recovered from Rhodes’ barrage of offense, and is driven to the mat with the Hero’s Welcome. <strong>Chris Hero</strong> claims the victory after 14:35. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Immediately after the match, Chris Hero continues his attack on Rhodes laying into him with some swift strikes. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Never one to pass up an opportunity to add insult to injury for one of his foes, Adam Cole joins in on the attack too. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Despite their own personal differences, Cole and Hero continue the attack on Rhodes, who is helpless to do anything about it, though it looks like help may be on the way.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<a href="</em><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Roderick%20Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Roderick%20Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg.html"</em></a><em> target="_blank"><img src="</em><a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Roderick%20Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Roderick%20Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg"</em></a><em> border="0" alt=" photo Roderick Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg"/></a></em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Roderick Strong returns to MLW after taking last week off to nurse a dislocated elbow. He slides into the ring takes Cole down, and lands some punches to Cole’s face. Had anyone other than Strong come in and attack Cole, Chris Hero would probably have let them carry on, but he and Strong have had bad blood for months, resulting in a lot two of the most intense matches seen in MLW to date. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

With Rhodes down, Hero makes his move towards Roderick Strong, charging at him while he and Cole exchange blows. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Strong is caught off guard by the attack and finds himself lying flat on his stomach on the mat. Having created the opening, Hero, climbs over top of Strong and starts throwing a flurry of fists to the back of Strong’s head. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

After landing a few shots, Hero targets the arm where Strong’s elbow was dislocated and locks in a brutal looking armbar, refusing to let go even as Strong taps out repeatedly. With Rhodes down and out, Hero works on Strong’s arm while Cole, who has regained himself, gets in Strong’s face and begins shouting at him, some spit flying in Strong’s face in the process. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

After what must have felt like an eternity for Strong, Hero breaks the hold, moves towards Adam Cole, who fears he might be next, and then simple glares at him. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The show ends with Hero leaving Cole alone in the ring and making his way to the back, while Adam Cole breathes a sigh of relief in the ring having avoided the ire of Chris Hero … at least for tonight.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><i><br /></p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Good evening everyone, and welcome to another broadcast of Thursday Fight Night, only on the official Major League Wrestling YouTube channel. </p><p> </p><p>

Chael, we’re just two weeks away from the Heavyweight Championship match between CM Punk and Bobby Roode. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> Is there even any doubt that that’s going to be a great match? You have two very different competitors, with two totally different personalities and wrestling styles going head-to-head for the very first time, and that’s what MLW is all about. </p><p> </p><p>

But what about last week? Chris Hero defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event with a little bit of help from Adam Cole. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Yes, and then afterwards, we saw the return of Roderick Strong as he tried to help Cody fend off an attack from both Hero and Cole, but that proved to be futile. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> Yeah, Hero locked a brutal looking Armbar on the same arm that Strong dislocated his elbow. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> It really was an all-out assault from Adam Cole and Chris Hero. We can say this: Cody Rhodes and Roderick Strong will have a chance to get some revenge tonight as they take on Chris Hero and Adam Cole in tonight’s main event. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> That’s gonna be good. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> You bet; but tonight, we’re starting off with some action from the Women’s Division. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Candice LeRae is the first competitor to make her way to the ring, taking the time to high five some fans in the front row before stepping in between the ropes. Lately, it appears to that she’s been having some issues with Scarlett Bordeaux, but tonight, she’ll face a different opponent. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Next, Melissa Anderson makes her way down the aisle. Melissa was last seen in action against Gail Kim about a month ago, in the same match where Gail was attacked by Awesome Kong after claiming victory over Melissa.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Candice LeRae vs. Melissa Anderson</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Melissa and Candice have faced off before, and there’s no love lost between the two. </p><p> </p><p>

Overall, this was a decent encounter showcasing the talents of two of the best competitors that the MLW Women’s Division has to offer. </p><p> </p><p>

In the end, <strong>Candice</strong> secured a singles victory of Melissa after taking her down with an Inverted Frankensteiner in 11:32. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> This is Brittany Lewis, and I’m getting ready to interview both Adam Cole and Chris Hero. </p><p> </p><p>

Guys, what a difference a couple of weeks make. A few days before The Underground you two contested a hard-fought battle to determine who would be the first participant in the four-way title match; now, you two are allies against —</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero:</strong> Brittany, I would prefer if you would please not refer to Adam Cole and I as allies. </p><p> </p><p>

I didn’t ask for this match, nor do I really want to compete in it. It’s just another thing distracting me from my ultimate goal. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Adam Cole:</strong> Hey, you’re not the only with title aspirations here, so why don’t you stop sulking for once. I didn’t ask to team with you either. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hero turns his attention to Cole, who is clearly more intimidated by him than he lets on.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero:</strong> Watch how you talk to me if you don’t wanna end up on the wrong end of a beating. It’d be a shame for that pretty face of yours to be covered in bruises. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Adam Cole:</strong> Are you threatening me?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero:</strong> Yes … </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Brittany looks at both Hero and Cole nervously, afraid of possibly losing control of the interview.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> I think it’s best if we end this interview before tensions escalate any further. </p><p> </p><p>

Good luck coexisting tonight. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Cole and Hero stare at each other intently, dislike radiating from both of their eyes, before parting in different directions.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Last week, he was approached, and seemingly threatened, by Homicide while he was walking through the hallway and decided to challenge him to a match as a result. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Back at ringside, Homicide’s music begins to play and he makes his way down to the ring without his tag team partner, Hernandez. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Afterwards, MVP appears from behind the curtain, a little more serious in his demeanor that usual. It was obvious that he didn’t take too kindly to Homicide’s perceived threats last week, and it looks like he still has them in mind as he gets set for one-on-one action.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Homicide vs. MVP</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This bout was decent overall. No one was really expecting it to set the world alight, but it served its purpose and was fairly enjoyable. </p><p> </p><p>

Despite not appearing to be his usual self in terms of in-ring work, <strong>MVP</strong> was the superior competitor in this match and picked up victory in 8:51 after forcing Homicide to submit to the Oyasumi. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Although he didn’t accompany Homicide for the match, Hernandez found his way out to ringside in the post-match proceeding, attacking MVP from behind. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<a href="</em><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg.html"</em></a><em> target="_blank"><img src="</em><a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg"</em></a><em> border="0" alt=" photo Shawn Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg"/></a></em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Soon, it’s two against one as Homicide joins in on the attack as well. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As they lay in some kicks and punches on MVP, Low Ki runs down to the ring, telling Hernandez and Homicide to back off. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<a href="</em><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg.html"</em></a><em> target="_blank"><img src="</em><a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg"</em></a><em> border="0" alt=" photo Low Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg"/></a></em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

It seems that, despite the beef the two had in the prior weeks, that it’s water under the bridge to Low Ki and that their past friendship is more important. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Low Ki motions for the LAX members to back up while he checks on MVP. Due to Homicide’s respect for Low Ki, the two oblige. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Low Ki gets MVP to his feet he asks him if he’s good, to which MVP responds “yes.”</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

And then it happens — Low Ki delivers a stiff kick to MVP’s gut, followed by four, five, six or seven more kicks … it’s hard to say how many there were for sure given how fast and furious those kicks came. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Low Ki, Homicide and Hernandez lean over MVP and continue talking trash to him after having already beaten him down pretty bad.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>From there, we’re taken backstage to the locker room where Roderick Strong and Cody Rhodes are spotted in the locker room.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>The camera doesn’t really catch much of what they are saying, but it appears as though the two competitors, who have made their mutual respect for one another known, are going over strategy for tonight’s tag team match against Chris Hero and Adam Cole. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

It looks like they may already be at an advantage given how cohesive they appear to be compared to Cole and Hero.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Bravado Brothers (Harlem and Lance) vs. Catch Club (Drew Gulak and TJ Perkins)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This bout was a bit underwhelming given the talent involved, and it probably went on a little bit longer than it should have. </p><p> </p><p>

After 7:44, <strong>Gulak</strong> claimed victory for Catch Club after connecting with a Diving Clothesline on Lance Bravado before covering him for the three count, making this the third victory for Gulak and TJP in as many weeks. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As the bell rings to sound the victory, Gulak and TJP celebrate their third straight victory, before making their way to the back.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> I’m here with Scarlett Bordeaux and Scarlett, just recently you’ve become an active member of the MLW Women’s Division, and I was just wondering where the sudden motivation to get into the ring came from. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett Bordeaux:</strong> I don’t want to bring attention to people who don’t deserve it, but let’s just say that there’s some haters in the women’s locker room and I’m out to put them in their place. </p><p> </p><p>

People keep saying that I can’t wrestle and that all I’m good for is showing my ass — well I’m sorry that I actually have assets to show. But I get it … I’d be jealous of me too. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> So far you’re off to a good start, but there are some that aren’t convinced with your performances to date. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett Bordeaux:</strong> As far as I’m concerned, they can all suck it. All that matters is that nobody’s been able to beat me so far, so clearly I’m doing something right. But like I said, haters gonna hate … it doesn’t faze me one bit!</p><p> </p><p>

When I become the Women’s Champion, I’ll be sure to kick dirt right back in the faces of everyone that’s talking crap about me, and that includes the lonely nerds on the internet who talk a lot of game, but couldn’t even lace my boots in training. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> If you couldn’t tell, Scarlett is serious about her foray into the MLW ring, and now, she’s off to go accompany Adam Cole to the ring for the main event, which is coming up next. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As the segment winds down, the show moves back to ringside for the final match of the evening. First to make his way to the ring is Roderick Strong, who is sporting kinesio tape on his elbow after suffering a setback from Chris Hero’s attack following his recovery from a dislocated elbow. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

He’s soon joined in the ring by his tag team partner for the night, Cody Rhodes, who came out on the losing end against Chris Hero last week thanks to Adam Cole, and was subject to an attack from Hero and Cole afterwards. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Chris Hero is next to make his entrance, sporting a sick grin on his face as he reminisces over last week’s attack in which he and Cole left Strong and Rhodes down and out. It’s common knowledge by now in MLW that Chris Hero only smiles at the thought of someone suffering by his hand. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Finally, Adam Cole and Scarlett Bordeaux make their way to the ring to join the other competitors. Cole looks a bit unnerved about having to trust Chris Hero, while Scarlett has her patented resting bitch face on for the world to see.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roderick Strong and Cody Rhodes vs. Chris Hero and Adam Cole</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This match promised a lot on paper and delivered on that promise in the ring. It was an exceptional in which all participants looked strong from start to finish. </p><p> </p><p>

Fortunately for Strong and Rhodes, they were in fact the more cohesive unit. A mistiming in communication for Hero and Cole led to Strong and Rhodes getting on the offensive towards the end of the bout and never ceding control from there. </p><p> </p><p>

The match ended when <strong>Rhodes</strong> delivered the Cross Rhodes to Cole to pick up the victory for his team in 12:43, thus pinning the person who defeated him at the biggest show of the year back in December. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>The fans cheer as Rhodes and Strong celebrate their victory at ringside following such a crowd-pleasing bout. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

They may not be the best of friends, but they’re definitely on the same page, which is more than can be said for Adam Cole and Chris Hero, who can be found arguing in the ring following the loss. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Rhodes and Strong disappear to the back, the show ends with Hero and Cole arguing in the ring following their loss. Cole blames Hero, and Hero blames Cole, though Cole decides it’s in his best interest not to upset Hero any further, lest he decide to start throwing elbows.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><i><br /></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Welcome to Major League Wrestling Fight Night, coming to you once again from Willett Hall in Portsmouth, Virginia! This is Good Ol’ JR, and I’m joined tonight by my partner, Chael Sonnen. </p><p> </p><p>

Things are really starting to heat up around here once more, aren’t they, partner?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong>You’re damn right; Next week, Bobby Roode, The Glorious One, challenges the self-proclaimed Best in the World, CM Punk, for his MLW Heavyweight Championship. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> That’s sure to be a great match, but you know what also interests me?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> What’s that, JR?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> I’m interested in seeing just how long Drew Gulak and TJP can keep their run of momentum going. They’ve put together a few wins in the last couple of weeks, and they’re looking like viable contenders for the Tag Team Championships. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> Well speaking of Tag Team Championships, the MLW Tag Team Champions are scheduled to be in action right … about … now. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>The broadcast moves to the entranceway where Kenny King and Cedric Alexander, collectively known as Hustle ‘n Flow, make their way down to the ring, hyped up as always, and displaying a level of swagger that the fans have come to expect from the two. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

They may not be the strongest team in the division, but these two athletes are definitely one of the more entertaining ones in MLW. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As they loosen up in the ring, the Tag Team Champions, Nick Aldis and Doug Williams, make their way down to the ring as well. They’ve been champions for just over a month, but no team has really stepped up to challenge them for their titles.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hustle ‘n Flow (Kenny King and Cedric Alexander) vs. Nick Aldis and Doug Williams</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This tag team encounter was a decent opening bout where the champions looked strong, but their opponents were able to get in some of their signature offense as well. </p><p> </p><p>

It was fairly straightforward from start to finish, and <strong>Aldis</strong> picked up the victory for his team after slamming Kenny King with a Spineshaker, ending the match after 11:23. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Afterwards, Aldis and Williams make their way to the back following their victory, and we’re taken to the backstage media center where Brittany Lewis is in her usual spot and getting ready to interview Candice LeRae.</em></p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> Hello everyone, this is Brittany Lewis and I’m here with Candice LeRae. Candice, last week you won against Melissa Anderson, but lately it seems your real problems have been with Scarlett Bordeaux.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Candice LeRae:</strong> Scarlett’s the one that talked crap to me first, so I had to put her in her place. </p><p> </p><p>

She walks around here like she’s too good for everyone, but once Adam Cole ditches her for the next bimbo that shows her face around here, she won’t have anywhere to go. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> A couple of weeks ago, you told Scarlett that she can’t wrestle and she seems hellbent on proving you wrong, even going so far as to call you a hater, though not mentioning you by name. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Candice LeRae:</strong> If telling it like it is makes me a hater, then so be it. Scarlett might be 2-0 right now, and no disrespect to the women she’s fought against, but until she’s consistently going up against the Gail Kims, Melissa Andersons, and Ashley Lanes of the world like I have for the last six months, she hasn’t proven anything. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of you and Scarlett Bordeaux at odds with one another. Thanks for the interview Candice. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Candice finally cracks her trademark smile in acknowledgement of Brittany’s thanks, before leaving the interview. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

From there, the camera remains backstage, where Low Ki is seen showing no mercy on a kickboxing bag in a room by himself.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Low%20Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Low Ki_zps1hajz7ts.jpg"/></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>He continues to put in some quick strikes on the bag, but soon comes to a halt. In a few seconds it becomes evident why; Homicide and Hernandez enter the room and Homicide is first to break the silence.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Homicide_zpsjiykrusj.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Homicide_zpsjiykrusj.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Homicide_zpsjiykrusj.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Homicide_zpsjiykrusj.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Homicide_zpsjiykrusj.jpg"/></a><a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Shawn%20Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Shawn Hernandez_zpsxpagqjvh.jpg"/></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Homicide:</strong> Last week … that was good s*** man. You didn’t show no mercy to MVP. That’s what I always liked about you, ese — take no prisoners. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Low Ki lets out a deep grunt to acknowledge Homicide’s comments, and returns to planting some kicks on the bag, though not with the same intensity as before.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Homicide continues to talk.</em></p><p> </p><p>

We’re just here to let you know, if you gotta scrap with that dude, we got your back, homes. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Low Ki grunts again.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Homicide nods to Hernandez, as if to signal that this meeting has been a successful one, and then the two leave the room, allowing Low Ki to get back to what he was doing before they interrupted.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

From there, the action moves back to ringside where the women are set to take center stage in the MLW ring. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

First, Su Yung makes her entrance. Su is still a relatively new addition to the Women’s Division and hasn’t seen much action, though she’ll relish this opportunity to work her way up from the bottom. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Conversely, her opponent is the woman that is not only at the top of the MLW Women’s Division, but may just be the best women’s wrestler in the world. Gail Kim appears from backstage, title around her waist, posing at the top of the aisle before making her way down to the ring and stopping to high five some fans in the front row along the way.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Su Yung vs. Gail Kim</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Su and Gail put together a decent match, and Su Yu showed flashes of promise throughout the match. If she’s able to act on this potential, she should be able to keep up with the best in the years to come. </p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately for her, tonight was not her night. She fell victim to <strong>Gail’s</strong> Flying Dragon as the bout drew to a close, and ended up tapping out after 7:21. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As Gail Kim celebrates yet another victory, we’re shown a taped promo of Bobby Roode hyping up the title match with CM Punk on next week’s Fight Night broadcast.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Bobby Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg"/></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> You know, these past couple of weeks, people have been asking me why I wanted a one-on-one title opportunity against CM Punk so bad that I went through legal avenues to get it. </p><p> </p><p>

“But Bobby, he already pinned you in the middle of the ring in front of all those people.”</p><p> </p><p>

So what? You think I got to be the successful business tycoon that I am without failing eight or nine or ten times? Yes, I’ve lost a lot of money, but I’ve made a hell of a lot more. </p><p> </p><p>

Knowing the potential reward outweighs the risk of failure, well that’s what keeps me going. Unlike all you losers out there, I’m not afraid to fail again and again and again until I accomplish my goals. But I also don’t have to worry about failing again because I won’t! </p><p> </p><p>

I’m superior to CM Punk in every way imaginable and next week, at the end of the night, I’ll be your new MLW Heavyweight Champion. </p><p> </p><p>

And you can call me arrogant or what have you, believe me, I’ve heard it all before. But when you’re as powerful as I am — when you have the money, the accolades, the cars, the houses, the women — there’s just no need to be humble. </p><p> </p><p>

Next week, the glorious era begins. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>After the taped promo finishes, we return to the ring where MLW’s resident bully, Chris Hero, makes his entrance. Hero was involved in the main event last week where he and Adam Cole lost to Cody Rhode and Roderick Strong due to a breakdown in communication between the two.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

His opponent is the Psycho Killer, Tommaso Ciampa, who is riding solo for the time being due to the extended absence of his tag team partner, Johnny Gargano, who is out for a couple of months while he rehabs from an LCL tear.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero vs. Tommaso Ciampa</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The wrestling in this match was superb. The MLW fans probably won’t get to see Ciampa and Hero crossing paths too often, so it was definitely a treat for them to see these two square off in a singles bout. </p><p> </p><p>

The action was open and the crowd was most definitely engaged throughout. In the end, <strong>Hero</strong> was the man to deliver the decisive strike as he put Ciampa away with the Death Blow after 10:51. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Hero once again forgoes a victory celebration and stands above Ciampa, screaming obscenities at him, before deciding to make his way to the back. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Afterwards, the camera switches backstage where Brittany Lewis is standing by with Adam Cole.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> I’m standing here with Adam Cole; Adam you’ve been having problems with Roderick Strong and especially Cody Rhodes over the past few months. Can you give us some insight into the problems between you three?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Adam Cole:</strong> What’s there to say? Cody Rhodes is jealous of me, that much is obvious, and apparently so is Roderick Strong. </p><p> </p><p>

Why? Because I’m Adam Cole baybay! What more is there to say?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> Although you did beat Cody Rhodes in your one-on-one match at The World Series of Wrestling back in December, he pinned you to pick the win for Strong and himself last week … </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Adam Cole:</strong> So what’s your point? Are you trying to insinuate that Cody Rhodes is somehow better than me? Because Chris Hero left me out to dry against Cody and Roderick Strong?</p><p> </p><p>

Those two tried to maim me last week and you know it!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> So is there any chance of you issuing a challenge to either of those two? It seems like that’s where this is all eventually heading. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Adam Cole:</strong> Why would I do that? I’ve already beaten Cody Rhodes, and Roderick Strong isn’t exactly what I’d call competition. </p><p> </p><p>

Neither of those two is really fit to be in the same ring as me; you saw the way I had to carry their asses to the finish line to win the Heritage Cup. </p><p> </p><p>

No, I’ve got bigger aspirations that wasting my time with those two. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> Alright, well that concludes this interview. We’re all interested in seeing what your next move will be, Adam. </p><p> </p><p>

As Strong enters the ring, he awaits the arrival of his opponent, Wade Bennett. <strong>Roderick Strong vs. Wade Bennett</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

He may come out on the winning end of things as often as he would like, but Wade Bennett continues to put in some top notch matches with big name competition in MLW. </p><p> </p><p>

The ring work from both men in this match was superb and the crowd hung on to every moment of action, not wanting the match to end it seems. </p><p>

Never one to take the fans into consideration, the match took an unexpected twist when Adam Cole decided to make his way down to the ring and insert himself into the proceedings. </p><p> </p><p>

Bennett had Strong down on the mat in a headlock, and as Strong desperately made his way to the ropes, Cole pull the rope away, making Strong reach that much further for safety. </p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, Aaron Mahoney, who was officiating the match, saw this and had a few words with Cole as a result. </p><p> </p><p>

Irritated by Cole causing the referee to become distracted, Bennett broke the hold and turned his attention towards Cole. While Bennett and Cole shout at each other, Strong regains his composure and gets himself in position for the finish. </p><p> </p><p>

As Bennett turns his attention back to the match, he’s caught off guard by Strong and eats a Sick Kick to the face. <strong>Strong</strong> covers Bennett immediately and earns the pinfall victory after 15:23.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As the bell rings, Roderick Strong has his hand raised in victory, but his attention is quickly turned to Adam Cole, who he doesn’t appreciate trying to interfere in his match. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Thursday, Week 4, February 2017

Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City

The show begins with the camera capturing the crowd for what they hope will be another great night of MLW action inside Hammerstein Ballroom. The camera pans around the arena before reaching its stopping point, right in front of the commentary table where Jim Ross and Chael Sonnen are seated and ready to welcome the TV audience.

Jim Ross: Welcome everybody to Major League Wrestling Fight Night. I’m Jim Ross and I’ll be calling the action for you tonight alongside Chael Sonnen.

Tonight is the night, Chael. After weeks of anticipation, tonight we get to see CM Punk defend the MLW Heavyweight Championship against The Glorious One himself, Bobby Roode.

Chael Sonnen: This is the first time ever that these two are facing off in one-on-one action, and it’s happening here in MLW.I think it’s gonna be something special.

Jim Ross: I agree with you there, partner.

That match is coming to you later on in tonight’s main event, but let’s get the action started with the opening bout.

Tommaso Ciampa’s music begins to play, and he makes his way down the aisle, still on his own for the time being, but looking no less determined than usual.

After getting off to a winning start against Kyle O’Reilly at The Underground back in January, he’s lost his last two matches, one against Nick Aldis, and the other against Chris Hero just last week.

His opponent, Tony Nese is next to make his way from the back. Nese is one-half of the Premier Athletes tag team with Jesse Sorensen, and is winless during his time in MLW, though tonight is another opportunity to change that.

<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Tommaso%20Ciampa_zpstt4ea82y.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Tommaso%20Ciampa_zpstt4ea82y.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Tommaso Ciampa_zpstt4ea82y.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/TEW%202016%20Diary%20Graphics/VS_zpsh6qo5y7j.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/TEW%202016%20Diary%20Graphics/VS_zpsh6qo5y7j.png" border="0" alt=" photo VS_zpsh6qo5y7j.png"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Anthony%20Nese_zpsk66vipnt.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Anthony%20Nese_zpsk66vipnt.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Anthony Nese_zpsk66vipnt.jpg"/></a>

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tony Nese

Ciampa and Nese worked a decent opening match, but Nese will have to wait a little while longer to get his first MLW victory.

Overall, Nese seemed to be off his game throughout the bout, while Ciampa put in his usual good performance. Ciampa claimed victory in 8:47 after putting Nese away with Project Ciampa.

Ciampa has his hand raised in victory after the bout and celebrates briefly before the focus of the broadcast is moved backstage where Brittany Lewis is getting ready to interview the MLW Heavyweight Champion.

<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Brittany%20Fetkin_zpsqyqkm10v.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Brittany%20Fetkin_zpsqyqkm10v.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Brittany Fetkin_zpsqyqkm10v.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/CM%20Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/CM%20Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo CM Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg"/></a>

Brittany Lewis: This is Brittany Lewis and I’m here with none other than MLW Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

CM Punk, a few years ago you singled out Bobby Roode as someone that you’d like to face in a match, and that’s finally set to happen later on tonight when you defend your title against Roode in the main event.

What are your thoughts going into the match?

CM Punk: The reason I came out of retirement was for matches against new opponents like Bobby Roode.

Despite all the nonsense that comes out of Roode’s mouth, his accomplishments speak for themselves. He’s a former World Heavyweight Champion and he’s beaten some of the best this industry has to offer.

And that’s why it’ll be that much sweeter when I beat him tonight and continue to back up my claims as being the Best in the World.

Brittany Lewis: Some people have said that maybe Bobby Roode didn’t deserve this title shot. After all, you pinned him at The Underground in the four-way match.

It was through a contract loophole that he was able to get this one-on-one title opportunity.

CM Punk: It doesn’t matter how he got his title shot. The fact of the matter is that he’s the opponent in front of me tonight, and so that’s where my focus will be.

Once I’m done with him, as I’ve said before, you can line the whole roster up and give them all a shot, one-by-one, because I’ve made it clear that I’m not shy about defending this belt.

Brittany Lewis: Well, it appears you are a fighting champion, which is what the fans want to see. CM Punk, thanks for the interview and good luck tonight.

CM Punk acknowledges Brittany and then makes his way from the interview so that he can continue prepping for the upcoming title defense.

Afterwards, we’re taken back to ringside, where Drew Gulak and TJ Perkins, who have won their last three matches, make their way to ringside looking to continue their upswing in momentum.

Their opponents for the night, Gran Akuma and Craig Classic, are already in the ring waiting for the bout to start.

Gran Akuma and Craig Classic vs. Catch Club (Drew Gulak and TJ Perkins)

This was a forgettable encounter, and the conclusion was never really in doubt for the MLW fans.

After 5:25, Gulak landed a Diving Clothesline on Akuma before covering him for the three count to claim their fourth victory in a row for Catch Club.

Victorious once again, Gulak and TJP make their way to the back, and we’re taken into one of the private dressing rooms.

<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Bobby Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg"/></a>

Here, we get a glimpse into Bobby Roode’s preparations for the main event.

A personal trainer is by his side helping him loosen up before his title challenge against CM Punk.

From there, the scene moves into the hallway where Candice LeRae is seen walking out of the locker room.

As she approaches the Gorilla position, her music begins to play and she’s given the signal to go out to the ring, where the camera catches up with her on the other side of the curtain.

She makes her way down the aisle, with her usual smile of for the fans, as well as a few high fives.

Her opponent for the night is Ashley Lane, who she defeated in one-on-one action just last month at The Underground.

<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Candice%20LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Candice%20LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Candice LeRae_zpsskuq2jev.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/TEW%202016%20Diary%20Graphics/VS_zpsh6qo5y7j.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/TEW%202016%20Diary%20Graphics/VS_zpsh6qo5y7j.png" border="0" alt=" photo VS_zpsh6qo5y7j.png"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Ashley%20Lane_zps3d20io0m.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Ashley%20Lane_zps3d20io0m.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Ashley Lane_zps3d20io0m.jpg"/></a>

Candice LeRae vs. Ashley Lane

This was another decent match between the two enemies, with both getting a chance to look threatening at different points throughout the match.

Candice put any doubt about the outcome of their match at The Underground to rest after nailing the Heartbreaker on Ashley to win the match in 9:46.

As Candice makes her way to the back, she stops at the top of the entrance and turns towards the fans one last time, raising her arms in victory.

At that moment, Scarlett Bordeaux appears from behind the curtain, grabs Candice by the hair and throws her to the ground.

<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Scarlett%20Bordeaux_zpsc7txjjan.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Scarlett%20Bordeaux_zpsc7txjjan.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Scarlett Bordeaux_zpsc7txjjan.jpg"/></a>

Caught completely off guard, Candice is unable to retaliate as Scarlett hops on top of her delivering three or four punches to Candice’s face before grabbing her hair once more and slamming her head down on the floor.

Once Scarlett gets up off of Candice, she screams at her and delivers one final kick to the stomach before making her way to the back as officials rush to Candice’s aid to check on her.

Soon after, the broadcast moves backstage where Brittany Lewis is standing in between Roderick Strong and Cody Rhodes.

<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Brittany%20Fetkin_zpsqyqkm10v.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Brittany%20Fetkin_zpsqyqkm10v.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Brittany Fetkin_zpsqyqkm10v.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Roderick%20Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Roderick%20Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Roderick Strong_zps4xebaq2r.jpg"/></a><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Cody%20Rhodes_zpsdo3tbuma.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Cody%20Rhodes_zpsdo3tbuma.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo Cody Rhodes_zpsdo3tbuma.jpg"/></a>

Brittany Lewis: Roderick Strong, Cody Rhodes, it seems you both have a common enemy in Adam Cole. Why is it that the three of you can’t get on the same page?

Roderick Strong: I think Cody and I have both stated that, despite not being the best of friends, we respect one another, and that something Adam Cole lacks: respect.

He cries and complains about how unfairly he’s been treated here, but in reality, he’s been give opportunities that a lot of the boys would kill for.

Cody Rhodes: You saw the way he acted at The Underground, Brittany. He, Roddy and I were supposed to be out there representing MLW as a team, but all he cared about was keeping the spotlight on himself. I can’t respect that.

Is Adam Cole good at what he does? Yes, I can tell you that having lost to him at MLW’s biggest pay-per-view event of the year. And I’m man enough to admit that he was better than me that night.

But, he can’t expect to have opportunities handed to him on talent alone. He has to earn them.

Brittany Lewis: You both have mentioned your respect for each other’s in-ring abilities several times in the past.

Well, I got a message from Court Bauer earlier in the night telling me to inform you both that you will be facing each other one-on-one next week on Fight Night!

The crowd can be heard cheering in the background at this unexpected development. Upon hearing the news, Rhodes and Strong smirk at one another before taking a few steps closer to one another, leaving Brittany off to the side. The segment ends with the two sizing each other up ahead of next week’s bout.

From there, the scene moves back to ringside where Bobby Roode’s music begins to play and he makes his way down the aisle for his championship opportunity.

His sequined robe brushes against the arena floor as he carries himself with an air of confidence even greater than what the fans are used to seeing from him, which is saying something.

As he enters, the ring, he takes to one of the far corners and undoes his robe as “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour begins to play on the arena’s sound system.

CM Punk appears from the back, title around his waist, and does his walkout routine before finally making his way down the aisle and into the ring.

Roode glares at him as he makes his way between the ropes. To Roode, it’s only a matter of time before he dethrones him as the Heavyweight Champion, and CM Punk is just delaying the inevitable the longer his entrance continues.

A few moments after CM Punk enters the ring, the music cuts off and the ring announcer begins the pre-match introductions.

MLW Heavyweight Championship

This was a bout that could easily have headlined a pay-per-view, never mind an episode of Fight Night.

CM Punk and Bobby Roode engaged in a back-and-forth bout that was exception in every way. There were a few near falls, but as the action came moved forward, CM Punk proved to have just a little bit more in the tank than Roode.

CM Punk claimed a pinfall victory after connecting with the GTS in 16:07 to retain the MLW Heavyweight Championship.

After the bout, CM Punk celebrates as Roode regains himself and makes his way to the back, seemingly accepting his loss without any post-match shenanigans.

Moments after Roode disappears, Kurt Angle’s music begins to play and he returns to MLW having gone unaccounted or since losing in the four-way main event at The Underground.

Angle has a microphone in hand, and like Bobby Roode a month ago, looks as though he has no intention of going down to the ring.

CM Punk motions for the ring girl to hand him a microphone, and before Angle can get a word out, Punk begins to speak.

CM Punk: Let me guess, there’s some loophole , somewhere in your contract that grants you a one-on-one rematch for the championship.

Kurt Angle: You really are smarter than you look, Punk.

CM Punk: Yeah, yeah, I wish I could say the same for you. But like I told Bobby Roode, and like I keep telling everyone in this company, I’ll defend this belt whenever, wherever, against whoever.

So name a time and place Kurt.

Kurt Angle: Next week. Next week, I finally get my one-on-one rematch, and with that, the chance to prove to you that your win at the World Series of Wrestling was a fluke.

CM Punk: I’m flattered that you feel you have something to prove to me Kurt, but I pinned you 1-2-3 in the middle of this very ring to win this title. So there’s nothing really left to prove.

But if you want to me to put you to sleep again, I’d be more than happy too.

Kurt Angle: I guarantee your tone is going to be completely different after you have your ass handed to you next week!

As the show closes, the two exchange words from a distance, with CM Punk raising his belt in the air to remind Angle who the champion is, and Angle telling him to enjoy it while it lasts.

The camera captures the fans in the Alumni Hall in Providence, Rhode Island as Major League Wrestling Fight Night is broadcast from New England for the first time. Tonight’s show will feature two monster encounters, and the fans are itching to get started as the camera makes its way to commentary where Jim Ross is seated next to Chael Sonnen. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> We have a huge night in store for you on tonight’s broadcast! I’m Jim Ross, and I’ll be calling that action for you tonight alongside my buddy, Chael Sonnen. </p><p> </p><p>

Are you ready for tonight, Chael?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> Am I ready? Tonight Roderick Strong and Cody Rhodes face off for the first time … and Kurt Angle challenges CM Punk for the MLW Heavyweight Championship … in the same night? </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> It looks like you’re having trouble containing your excitement there, partner. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> What gave it away?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Well, you won’t have to wait much longer. Let’s turn our attention to ringside where Roderick Strong is set to take on Cody Rhodes in tonight’s opening bout!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Roderick Strong’s music begins to play and, in case there was any doubt, the pop from the fans shows that he’s one of the most popular wrestlers on the MLW roster. Opposite Strong tonight will be Cody Rhodes, who makes his way down to the ring, looking more than ready to steal the show against a man he respects, but has yet to face in MLW.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Rhodes gets into the ring, the two stare each other down, though not with any type of dislike, but more a desire to come out on top.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roderick Strong vs. Cody Rhodes</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This was a big match, and both Rhodes and Strong put in big performances.</p><p> </p><p>

So big in fact, that it would prove impossible for even the referee to </p><p>

determine a clear winner between the two. </p><p> </p><p>

Neither man was willing to give the other any ground; if one had a question, the other had an answer, and that’s how it was for the duration of the match. </p><p> </p><p>

They went at one speed throughout the match: all out, which resulted in the two colliding towards the end of the bout after both men attempted running clotheslines. </p><p> </p><p>

With both wrestlers gassed out, laying on flat on the mat, they both reach over and place an arm on top of the other, forcing Referee Justin King to count both men down for three, thus ending the match in a draw after 15:03. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>There’s an air of confusion in the arena as Justin King calls for the bell to end the match. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Strong and Rhodes recover, both thinking they are the winner, they realize that the match was officially called a draw. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Both men make their way over to the King and try to plead their case. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Strong claims he had his arm over Rhodes a split second earlier, while Rhodes claims that one of his shoulders was never truly down on the mat. </em></p><p><em>

It all falls on deaf ears though as King tells that in no uncertain terms that the bout is a draw, and then leaves the ring before any more arguments can be made.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Strong and Rhodes are left to face each other in the ring, and after a few seconds, Rhodes nods his head and makes his way to the back, with Strong doing the same just a few moments later.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Afterwards, the action moves backstage where Brittany Lewis is standing by with former MLW Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, who will be challenging CM Punk for the championship in tonight’s main event.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> This is Brittany Lewis, and I’m here with the man who will challenge CM Punk for the MLW Heavyweight title tonight, Kurt Angle. </p><p> </p><p>

Kurt, you were the first ever MLW Heavyweight Champion, and tonight, you have a chance to win the belt back. What does this opportunity mean to you?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kurt Angle:</strong> What does it mean to me? You act like I should be honored to have this match tonight when, in reality, this rematch should have been granted to me months ago. </p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk is the one that should be honored that I’m allowing him to step in the ring with me again. His win at the World Series of Wrestling was a flluke; I know it, you know it, he knows it and the fans know it too. </p><p> </p><p>

But it’s okay. Everyone has an off night, and I’ll admit that I had the first off night in my entire career when I lost the title to Punk. After tonight though, I’ll once again be the MLW Heavyweight Champion and the natural order around here will be restored. </p><p> </p><p>

And that’s true. Oh it’s damn true!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Angle walks away from the interview, leaving Brittany to wrap up the segment before the broadcast moves back to the ring. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<strong>Aaron Solo and Mikaze vs. LAX (Homicide and Hernandez)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

There’s really not much to say about this bout. It wasn’t particularly entertaining, but it wasn’t supposed to be. It was a short bout, though LAX, Homicide in particular, had a strong showing. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Homicide</strong> picked up the victory via pinfall after drilling Solo with the Cop Killa after 2:49. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roderick Strong:</strong> You gotta admit, we killed it out there. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Rhodes eases up a bit and cracks a slight smile of his own.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cody Rhodes:</strong> Yeah, maybe next time one of us will actually win. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roderick Strong:</strong> Yeah about that —</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cody Rhodes:</strong> I think I know what’s coming next. Next time — and there will be a next time — you’re gonna fight til you can’t fight anymore, and I expect nothing less from you. </p><p> </p><p>

And you can expect the same thing from me. I’ve said a million times before: I have all the respect in the world for you, but I’m not content with us being equals.</p><p> </p><p>

One of us has to come out on top. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roderick Strong:</strong> I’m glad we’re on the same page as far that’s concerned. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Strong extends his hand to Rhodes and Rhodes returns the favor. The two shakes hands briefly before Strong leaves the locker room, allowing Rhodes to finishing packing his bags.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mia Svensson vs. Scarlett Bordeaux</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Though Scarlett is improving in the ring, her skill level is just not there yet, and it showed in the match quality against Mia Svensson, who was also not quite up at the skill level of even some of the more inexperienced workers in the MLW Women’s Division. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Scarlett</strong> claimed the victory in 4:57 with a Codebreaker. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Scarlett celebrates yet another victory, taunting her Mia for a few moments before making her way back. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> I’m here with MVP. MVP, it’s been a couple weeks since we last saw you. You were victorious in your match against Homicide, but afterwards, not only were you attacked by Homicide, but Hernandez, and even Low Ki, joined in as well. </p><p> </p><p>

In the past these guys have been your allies; what’s it like to come up against them now?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MVP:</strong> That’s just how those guys roll. But you know, where I come from, when you have a problem with somebody, you face them one-on-one like a real man. You don’t have your friends come in and fight your battles for you. </p><p> </p><p>

And you wanna know what really got to me?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> What’s that?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MVP:</strong> How Low Ki could look me in the eye the way he did, and then go ahead and cheap shot me. </p><p> </p><p>

We may have had our differences recently, but when you have the history we do, you solve your problems like men, and then move on. If that means settling them in the ring like we did at The Underground, then so be it. But afterwards, you move on. </p><p> </p><p>

But Low Ki, you made it personal, bruh. So I’m challenging you to come see me in that ring next week, and if you’re any kind of man at all, you’ll leave your boys Homicide and Hernandez in the back so we can settle this thing. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>The scene ends with MVP looking directly into the camera, breathing heavily after calling out his former friend to a one-on-one match next week. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The image of MVP is soon replaced with a video package highlighting the feud between CM Punk and Kurt Angle which first began when the two crossed paths at MLW’s Moment of Truth pay-per-view back in October of 2016. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<a href="</em><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Kurt%20Angle_zpsyuasucba.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Kurt%20Angle_zpsyuasucba.jpg.html"</em></a><em> target="_blank"><img src="</em><a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Kurt%20Angle_zpsyuasucba.jpg" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Kurt%20Angle_zpsyuasucba.jpg"</em></a><em> border="0" alt=" photo Kurt Angle_zpsyuasucba.jpg"/></a><a href="</em><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/CM%20Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/CM%20Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg.html"</em></a><em> target="_blank"><img src="</em><a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/CM%20Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/CM%20Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg"</em></a><em> border="0" alt=" photo CM Punk_zpsk4vy3ooe.jpg"/></a></em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The video package begins with Angle approaching CM Punk, who was in the crowd at Moment of Truth, after his title defense against Cody Rhodes and Wade Bennett and then punching him in the face unprovoked. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

This led to a series of promos and an unsanctioned match, and then finally the title match at The World Series of Wrestling in which CM Punk was victorious over Kurt Angle. Three months later, Angle and Punk will go at it once more. Will this upcoming bout be the last encounter between these two?</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>At the conclusion of the video, Kurt Angle’s music begins to play and he makes his way to ringside with the American flag draped across his shoulders, paying no mind to the fans who are torn between showing their appreciation for the living legend and booing him at the same time. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

With Angle in the ring, CM Punk’s music begins to play and he walks down the aisle for his second title defense in as many weeks. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Say what you want about CM Punk, but no one can accuse him of not being a fighting champion. Once he enters the ring, the ring announcer begins the title match introductions.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk</strong></p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Belts/GEN_3_zpskfcwcwfy.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Belts/GEN_3_zpskfcwcwfy.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Belts/GEN_3_zpskfcwcwfy.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Belts/GEN_3_zpskfcwcwfy.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo GEN_3_zpskfcwcwfy.jpg"/></a></p><p>

<em>MLW Heavyweight Championship</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This match was as good as their first encounter, if not better. Both competitor were exceptional as they tried to outdo one another in order to come out on top. </p><p> </p><p>

At one point, it looked like Punk would deliver the ultimate blow to Angle by forcing him to tap out to the Anaconda Vice, but Angle was able to use his Olympic-caliber background to wrestle his way out of it. </p><p> </p><p>

Moments later, he returned to the favor to Punk by forcing him into the Ankle Lock and applying further damage to the afflicted ankle by trapping it in between his own legs. Luckily for CM Punk, the bottom rope wasn’t too far away, though it must have felt like an eternity to him once he finally reached it. </p><p> </p><p>

The belt clearly means a lot to Angle. With CM Punk down on the mat, Angle climbed to the top rope with his back facing his opponent and sailed backwards in midair as he attempted a Diving Moonsault, a move that he’s used sparingly over the years. </p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, Angle went for high risk, but there was no reward, as CM Punk moved out of the way, with Angle landing flat on his stomach. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>CM Punk</strong> immediately capitalizes on this miscue by Angle and sets him up on top of his shoulders before releasing him and driving his knee to Angle’s face for the GTS. Immediately afterwards, he covers Angle for the three count and picks up the victory after 18:13 of action.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>As Angle lies on the mat, CM Punk has his hand raised in victory by Referee Jack Doan, before making his way out of the ring and back up the aisle. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The show ends with Angle hanging over the middle rope for support after a grueling bout as CM Punk celebrates at the top of the aisle, gesturing for Angle to “go to sleep,” with the title hung over his shoulder.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><i><br /></p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> Welcome to another episode of MLW Fight Night, coming to you on the official MLW YouTube channel. </p><p> </p><p>

This is Good Ol’ JR, and seated beside be is my announce partner, Chael Sonnen. </p><p> </p><p>

Last week’s show was bookended by two great matches as Cody Rhodes and Roderick Strong fought to a draw in the opening match, while CM Punk successfully defended the MLW Heavyweight Championship against Kurt Angle. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> And speaking of CM Punk, I guess the big question now is who will step up as his next challenger?</p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk has made it perfectly clear that he is willing to defend the title against the entire roster one-by-one if need be, but having beaten Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode, you have to wonder who the next guy to step up will be. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Ross:</strong> One thing’s for sure: there’s a ton of quality in the MLW locker room, and plenty of the boys in the back are waiting to step to the plate. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chael Sonnen:</strong> No doubt about it. And now, let’s get ready for some tag team action to start the night off. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>The MLW Tag Team Champions, Nick Aldis and Doug Williams, make their way to the ring, belts fastened around their waists.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

In recent weeks, the duo have made it clear that they are — and always have been — the best tag team in MLW, despite only winning the titles after Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were forced to vacated them.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As they finish their entrance, their opponents for tonight, Alex Daniels and Alexander Hammerstone make their way to ringside, with not much response from the fans. Both men are seldom-used, and the team appears to have been thrown together in order to get Daniels and Hammerstone some much-needed screen time.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Nick Aldis:</strong> Really, we haven’t got the time to be keeping up with the performances of amateurs. Do you know all the commitments that come with being champions?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brittany Lewis:</strong> When you look at it, Catch Club have made a case for being the number one contenders. Surely you’d want to get a look at them, you know, in case you have to defend the titles against them. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Doug Williams:</strong> Oh, so now you call the shots around here? We decide who we defend our titles against, and as far as Catch Club, we’ll not be granting them any title shot until they earn it. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Williams motions for Aldis to leave the ring with him, and with that, the interview is over. As Brittany herself makes her way out of the ring, the action moves backstage where the man who actually does call the shots, Court Bauer is seen walking in the hallway.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Court%20Bauer_zpshj05kpsz.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Court%20Bauer_zpshj05kpsz.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Court%20Bauer_zpshj05kpsz.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Court%20Bauer_zpshj05kpsz.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Court Bauer_zpshj05kpsz.jpg"/></a></p><p> </p><p>

Bauer has been largely M.I.A. since the last pay-per-view event, and as he walks down the hall, he stops when he comes across Bobby Roode, who is once again talking to someone on the phone. </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Bobby%20Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Bobby Roode_zps573msgs2.jpg"/></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Roode looks up at Bauer and tries miming to him that he’s on an “important” call and to “shoo” away.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Bauer continues to stand there, despite Roode’s growing annoyance, and finally Roode tells the person on the other end of the call that he’ll call them back in a few minutes. He then turns his undivided attention to Bauer</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> What’s <em>so</em> important that you felt the need to interrupt my call with a man as important as Kevin O’Leary?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Court Bauer:</strong> If I had known you were auditioning for <em>Shark Tank</em> I probably would have been more patient. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> Audition? He was asking me for advice on his next venture. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Court Bauer:</strong> Yeah, I’m not interested; but what does interest me is why you didn’t show up to last week’s show when I specifically requested that you be there. </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Roode thinks for a moment, then suddenly remembers that he did in fact miss last week’s show. He almost — almost — looks genuinely apologetic for missing the show.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> Look, Court. I’m a busy man. Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos were in town that night and wanted to have dinner with me … was I supposed to tell them no? </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Court Bauer:</strong> You really like this name dropping thing, don’t you?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bobby Roode:</strong> You know, Puff Daddy said the same thing —</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Court Bauer:</strong> I don’t have time for this. I’m introducing the newest MLW signing later on tonight, and I need to go make sure he’s all set. </p><p> </p><p>

But if you need help keeping track of your commitments, I suggest you find a manager because I won’t be so forgiving next time around. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Bauer walks away before Roode can respond, and soon after we’re taken back to ringside where Chris Hero makes his entrance.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Last time Hero was in action, he reluctantly teamed with Adam Cole to take on Cody Rhodes and Roderick Strong, but ultimately, he and Cole came up short. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Tonight, he is back to operating how he does best: alone. His opponent for the night is Joel Redman, who’s appearances in MLW to date have been scarce.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero vs. Joel Redman</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The match between Hero and Redman was surprisingly good given that most people probably expected a squash victory for Hero. The crowd became increasingly vocal as the match continued, and some fans even looked as though they might get behind Redman. </p><p> </p><p>

In the end, <strong>Hero</strong> capped off another impressive in-ring performance by putting Redman away with the Hangman’s Clutch in 8:01. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Immediately after the match, Hero snatches a microphone from ringside before making his way back in between the ropes and starts giving MLW management a piece of his mind.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Chris%20Hero_zps4whutfb7.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Chris%20Hero_zps4whutfb7.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Chris%20Hero_zps4whutfb7.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Chris%20Hero_zps4whutfb7.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Chris Hero_zps4whutfb7.jpg"/></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Hero:</strong> There’s one thing that’s been bothering me these past couple of weeks, and now is as good a time as any to get it off my chest. </p><p> </p><p>

Why is it that guys like Bobby Roode and Kurt Angle can strong arm their way into getting title shots and MLW management — yes, you Court Bauer — give them exactly what they want, no questions asked?</p><p> </p><p>

Yet, in order to get a title shot, I had to “play my way in” to a multi-man title match the week before the match, while those two just walked into their spots. And then on top of that, they were both given one-on-one rematches. </p><p> </p><p>

I wasn’t even pinned in the title match either! Bobby Roode was; and yet he was the first person to get a shot at CM Punk after The Underground. And Kurt Angle? CM Punk his beaten him twice now, but I bet if he asks for another title shot, he’ll get it. </p><p> </p><p>

So basically, what I’m asking is: where’s my title shot? When does Chris Hero get his one-on-one main event title match against CM Punk?</p><p> </p><p>

Court Bauer, I’m asking you — yes asking you — to do the right thing. Because if you think I’m hard to put up with now, you don’t want to see me when I get angry. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Hero drops the mic to end his promo, and next, the viewers are show a video package replaying the Scarlett Bordeaux’s mini-feud with Candice LeRae up to this point. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

It all started with an altercation backstage and which Candice told Scarlett, in no uncertain terms, that she didn’t know how to wrestle and was only useful as eye candy. </em></p><p><em>

Scarlett took this to heart, and has since put together a 3-0 record against relatively unknown independent workers in the weeks that have followed, though Candice is still not impressed with Scarlett’s antics.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>After the video concludes, Candice LeRae makes her way to the ring for Women’s Divison tag team action. Her partner for the night is none other than the MLW Women’s Champion, Gail Kim. Gail and Candice have teamed together before, and seem to have an understanding with one another. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

In the corner opposite Candice and Gail are Scarlett Bordeaux and Melissa Anderson, whose rivalry with Gail Kim in the early days of the MLW reboot saw her go as far as to steal the Women’s title from Gail Kim without actually winning it from her. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

That ordeal culminated in the first-ever ladder match in MLW, in which Gail Kim walked away from the match victorious and got her belt back in the process.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Candice LeRae and Gail Kim vs. Scarlett Bordeaux and Melissa Anderson</strong></p><p> </p><p>

This was a decent bout overall, with three out of the four participants being veterans of the business, allowing for limited participation from Scarlett. </p><p>

The action spilled out to ringside, with all four women brawling in front of the fans while Candice and Scarlett were still technically the legal women. </p><p> </p><p>

After taking Gail Kim out of the equation by throwing her into the steps, Melissa and able to focus her attention on Candice, holding her back from entering the ring and allowing <strong>Scarlett</strong> to barely make it back inside as Referee Justin King makes the 10-count, ending the match after 9:47. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Scarlett’s celebration is a bit over the top given that it was just a countout win and not a pinfall or submission, but she wasn’t going to let that ruin her parade. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

In time, all four women make their way to the back, first a frustrated Gail Kim and Candice Lerae, shortly followed by Melissa Anderson and Scarlett Bordeaux. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Almost immediately afterwards, Court Bauer’s music begins to play and he makes his way down to the ring to address the MLW audience for the first time in many week. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

After grabbing a microphone, Bauer begins the big unveiling of the newest MLW signing.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Court Bauer:</strong> When I made the decision to start this promotion back up again, I promised you guys the best talent and the biggest names that this industry has to offer. </p><p> </p><p>

And when I saw that an old friend of mine was on the free agent market … well that was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. So I made a call to this old friend and, while it took him a little bit of convincing, I finally got him to sign on the dotted line and join MLW.</p><p> </p><p>

So without further ado, I introduce to you the newest member of the MLW roster … </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Alberto El Patron!!!</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><a href="</p><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Alberto%20El%20Patron_zps7wgmhcb2.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/Alberto%20El%20Patron_zps7wgmhcb2.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Alberto%20El%20Patron_zps7wgmhcb2.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/Alberto%20El%20Patron_zps7wgmhcb2.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo Alberto El Patron_zps7wgmhcb2.jpg"/></a><p> </p><p>

<em>The fans show their appreciation as music begins to play and Alberto El Patron, formerly Alberto Del Rio in WWE, makes his way to ringside, stopping to pump up the fans along the way. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

He’s dressed in a nice suit and looks a lot more inspired than he did in the months preceding his exit from WWE. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Once he enters the ring, he shakes hands with Bauer before being handed the microphone and told that the floor is his.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

<a href="</em><a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Gifs/Ev9nDpQ_zpsxlbpk4zr.gif.html" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Gifs/Ev9nDpQ_zpsxlbpk4zr.gif.html"</em></a><em> target="_blank"><img src="</em><a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Gifs/Ev9nDpQ_zpsxlbpk4zr.gif" rel="external nofollow"><em>http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Gifs/Ev9nDpQ_zpsxlbpk4zr.gif"</em></a><em> border="0" alt=" photo Ev9nDpQ_zpsxlbpk4zr.gif"/></a></em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Bauer leaves the ring, El Patron begins to speak.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Alberto El Patron:</strong> This reception you guys are giving me … That’s why I come here to Major League Wrestling!</p><p> </p><p>

I know that hard work is appreciated here by the fans, and I can come out here every night and do what I do best without having to worry about anyone telling me how to do my job or how to live my own life. </p><p> </p><p>

All the big companies out there, they try to convince you that you need them more than they need you — that you’re nothing without them. Pero, it’s not worth waking up every morning if you don’t enjoy what you’re doing anymore. </p><p> </p><p>

Having people tell you what to do, when to do it; and they don’t appreciate the work you put in for them todos los dias! </p><p> </p><p>

They chew you up, and spit you back out man; they tell you you’ll never get another shot at the big time, but as far as I’m concerned, <em>this</em> is the big time! </p><p> </p><p>

<em>The fans start chanting “¡Si! ¡Si! ¡Si! ¡Si! ¡Si!”</em></p><p> </p><p>

To some people, they want to become a wrestler and they want to make a lot of money, but it’s more than that to me. </p><p> </p><p>

This is my passion! This is in my blood! And that is why I promise that every time you see me in this ring, I’m going to give you my all!</p><p> </p><p>

Alberto Del Rio is dead; Alberto El Patron is back, baby!</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p>

<em>The “¡Si!” chants start back up as El Patron leaves the ring, making sure to stop and acknowledge the fans along the way. As he makes it back to the top of the aisle, he does his signature fist pump to pop the fans one more time before disappearing to the back.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>From there, we get a shot of MVP leaving the locker room and making his way to the ring for the main event.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="<a href="http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/MVP_zpsqmrpjzzq.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow">http://s1339.photobucket.com/user/diesel726/media/Roster/MVP_zpsqmrpjzzq.jpg.html"</a> target="_blank"><img src="<a href="http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/MVP_zpsqmrpjzzq.jpg" rel="external nofollow">http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o701/diesel726/Roster/MVP_zpsqmrpjzzq.jpg"</a> border="0" alt=" photo MVP_zpsqmrpjzzq.jpg"/></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>After being absent for a few weeks, MVP made his return to MLW last week and challenged Low Ki to a rematch from The Underground during an interview with Brittany Lewis. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As the broadcast switches back to the camera in front of the entranceway, MVP’s music begins to play and he makes his way down to the ring for his first match in several weeks. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Last time out, he defeated Homicide, but was attacked in the post-match proceedings by Homicide, Hernandez and Low Ki, who looked like he might actually help MVP, only to make the odds against him worse. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Low Ki is next to make his way to the ring, looking as dangerous as he always does. As he enters the ring, he and MVP glare at one another and it’s evident that, from here on out, there’s no additional love lost between these two competitors.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MVP vs. Low Ki</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This was a good, open bout in which the two former friends had the opportunity to let out their frustration on one another. </p><p> </p><p>

Low Ki likely went into the match thinking that if he defeated MVP for the second time in a row, he could move on to bigger and better things, but MVP wasn’t going to let that happen so easily for Low Ki. </p><p> </p><p>

After 11:31 of action, <strong>MVP</strong> got his win back on Low Ki after putting him away with the Playmaker. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>With Low Ki down and defeated, MVP has his hand raised by the referee, but almost immediately afterwards, Homicide and Hernandez appear from behind the curtain and start making their way down the aisle. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

MVP motions for them to come down so he get his revenge on them — or at least try — but they never make it into the ring.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Kenny King and Cedric Alexander, who have had one or two run ins with LAX, run down the aisle and attack Homicide and Hernandez from behind, making sure they never have a chance to get to MVP. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

As Low Ki comes to, he makes a move for MVP, but MVP is too quick for him and, instead, Low Ki is thrown between the ropes to join his buddies Homicide and Hernandez. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

At this point, King and Alexander have joined MVP in the ring and he acknowledges the two of them for having his back, unlike his three former friends. </em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The show ends with the three of them standing tall in the ring to send the audience home happy.</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><i><br /></p>
