Amateur777
I searched around the TEW2016 threads and saw there were no Local 2 Global threads. So, feel free to post what happens in your Local 2 Global company. In my game I made my own promotion with the ref Jez McArthuer, called Backyard Amateur Wrestling, based in the Tri State. Their product is BAW Wrasllin', Key Feature Traditional with heavy Mainstream and medium Modern, Realsim and Lucha Libre, rating wrestlers more on performance than popularity. Got into Small within the first year using Deadly Deadshot, Babau and Xavi Ferrera as champions (Xavi had an almost year-long reign with the BAW title). After that it got pretty rough, though. I started having losses and lost pretty much all regional battles, because all of my production stuff were really low. I joined COTT to get less penalties from Regional Battles, but it barely helped. Then, the big bucks came. I changed to a touring schedule having Logan Wolfsbaine as champ for half a year (May 2017-December 2017) and made ridiculous amount of money, even managing to get the second place in Regional Battles. Logan dropped the title to Diablo Duvak, who now always gets about 75 performance and has kept the title prestige up to 100. I now am at December 2018, before the year's last show and Diablo is still the champ. Only problem, my Regional Rivals, PSW and NYCW are up to Regional now, so even if I put insane main events with 80 ratings, the show quality comes out as 56 or something and I always get second or third place. I also incorporated a Women's Division recently. Top contenders for the championship are Jaime Quine, who has turned out to be one of the best female wrestlers in the indie scene and the veteran heel Cherry Bomb. Also, I have signed Gidayu Katou. He is the future of the company. He is a midcarder and still gets 50-60 match ratings, which is much better than Main Eventer and former champion Xavi Ferrera. MachoManOrton
<p>I founded Avatar Wrestling Entertainment at local in April 2019 after bankrupting GSW. Currently small in March 2023(feels kind of slow, but money is pouring in constantly. Maybe I should be more aggressive in hiring established stars?). Current storylines are;</p><p> </p><p> -Face Donnie J vs Texas Hangman, "Battle for Respect". No title involved.</p><p> </p><p> -Tag team division feud with heel promotion and alliance tag champs Dead Men Walking vs. face Good Ol' Boys(was going to be vs Warren Technique and his protege the NBT with insane entertainment skills, but they've got awful chemistry)</p><p> </p><p> -Heels Garry The Entertainer and Jeremy Courtney chasing face champion Stuntman, with faces Aldrich Leclerc(as my barely there main eventer) and Anthony Marquardt(as a "Mr. Fair Play" type destroying heels in menace angles then losing in matches)</p><p> </p><p> -"You're not worthy" story where heel midcard Shady K and Dead Men Walking(stable called Rough Neck Crew) try to hold down Darryl O'Brien(Warren Technique's protege) and keep him away from the title</p><p> </p><p> Japanese Junior Waotaka Yoshida is there as a decent enough gatekeeper to the upper midcard, able to put on ok grades with most people. Most of my jobbers come from talent trades with COTT allies. I may be upping my spending soon to try to improve cards and get to regional, and will also need to ditch the alliance to try to get a deal with Los Deporte Hoy for broadcast exposure, they seem to be the softest on requirements.</p><p> </p><p> Am also considering adding Mark Smart as a player, founding Idaho Wrestling Community in Mid West, then quitting him.</p>

Seems like your storylines are pretty fun and well thought-out. Basically, all of my storylines follow one of these formats: 1. Champ comes out and boasts(heel) is happy and thanks the crowd(face) for being the champ until a challenger comes out. Challenger loses match against champ. Challenger loses match via shenanigans to a heel champ if face. If the challenger is a heel, he picks up a cheap win. Champ retains/loses title. 2. Non-title feud. Two Main Eventers don't like each other. Best of three matches. Surprisingly, it works just fine and requires zero creative skill. BAW are becoming kvlt WWE. Yeah, I try to think about what's going on in ring and backstage, and the purpose of the feud. Main event and tag team are for ratings, Donnie J vs Texas Hangman is training and passing of the torch(I love that Texas Hangman gets the "worker was going to complain but kept their mouth shut" note, so I want him to be an upper mid/ME designated transitional champ in the future), and the midcard feud is also training/torch passing. Leclerc gets psychology penalties for call in ring, so gonna give him a feud against a ring general before I stick him in any main events again. Last show went like; -Modern TV opening Garry vs Babau(debuting in company) -Dead Men Walking defeat Leclerc and Warren Technique(Technique takes pin since he leaves for NOTBPW tomorrow, Leclerc kept strong and gets to learn from Technique and Mobstar) -O'Brien saves Leclerc from 3 on 1 by Rough Neck Crew -Good Ol' Boys beat random jobber team -Serra Cureton lures Donnie J into ambush by Texas Hangman(freestyle angle with major successes to manager and client, major defeat to Donnie) -Babau defeats Garry(#1 contender match, B- rating, Babau was furious at first even with protect and keep strong so I changed it) -Anthony Marquardt dominates jobber in 3 minutes(cooldown note for main event) -Sweet Tabitha hypes Stuntman vs Courtney(test for unscripted Tabitha) -Stuntman entrance(C overness for a good grade just in case she bombs) -Courtney wins title from Sandman with tainted win(setting up Courtney vs Babau at next event, their psych and stamina are scouted to letters for Courtney and numbers for Babau, so may try a 30 minute iron man)
NeddyHernandez
The Road To Glory topic probably works wonders for a majority of people doing Local 2 Global saves, but it seems like about 97% of the RTGs are in the Cornellverse. I don't really like the Cornellverse that much.
Dr_Avalanche
Noob question here. Is Local 2 Global an established game form like Road to Glory with guidelines beyond what's in the name? If so, what are the "rules" of a Local 2 Global?

The main event was a beast. Diablo Duvak beat Island Boy Apollo to retain thw BAW title. The match rating was 76. Last angle was rated 71. The show got a 57 overall rating from production penalties and I still finished last on Regional Battles. It's getting intense over here in the Tri State.</p>
LoganRodzen
If you have a decent amount of income each month, try paying for better production. That way you can maximize your show rating and have a chance of winning the regional battles.

I have profits, but those come in the downtime of my company. So I want to have about 30-40k in the bank before raising up the production values.</p>
Amateur777
<p>Noooooooo, BHOTWG are signing Gidayu to a written contract! Dammit. I guess I'll have to push Marc Raisin now...</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: BHOTWG are snatching away Logan as well. Former champ, main eventer. At least it's only him, he felt that he had outgrown BAW at 61 popularity(even though Duvak has 62) and he won't let me negotiate with him. At least I have someone to feed to Cali Slick now.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT2: SWF are going to sign Guide, the guy I use as my Road Agent. 89 psych, 78 respect. I am getting raided.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT3: A bidding war happened over Guide, USPW finally got him under a written deal.</p>
