"Not suited to this type of match"

Recommended Posts

This is the most annoying thing in the game.. Trying to run the WWF era hardcore division and having anyone besides the people who have a super hardcore stat tell me that they don't like that type of match. Dammit you don't have to be the most talented wrestler to perform the kind of rubbish brawls that those matches were. Is there ANY way to turn this off!?

I tend to find it appears when the wrestler in question has another top row stat better than they match type they're involved in. For example Triple H would get the note for a hardcore match because he's seen as an even better brawler despite being a good hardcore wrestler.

Nothing to worry about really. I don't think it penalises the match rating.

Yeah, there's no need to turn it off. I don't think there's an actual penalty, other than the fact that you can get better match ratings if you put them in matches that "suit" them. I think the difference are relatively minor. Besides, surely you are not expecting great ratings from these "rubbish brawls" anyway. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The emails from them is just a suggestion that you can get better ratings from them with different matches. It doesn't even hurt their morale, so there's no harm done.

So brawlers are suited for it. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">

Well, if they're brawlers, just use a match that has weapons and all that jazz but is brawl based, or just create a new match type that has Tables, Barbed Wire, Light tubes, Thumbtacks, Barbed Wire Boards, Weapons and Glass, have No DQ, countouts, set injury and content risk to your own liking, and set the style to Regular Based.

the "Not suited to this type of match" happens when a worker does a match that isnt set as Regular Match in the details and their wrestling style doesnt really go with it, the only exception to that rule is Eye Candy and that is just for women of any Style

A match that is labled as Brawl Based is meant for workers who have the Style Puroresu and Brawl based.

A match that is labled as High Spot Based is for workers with the style Cruiserweight, Luchador, Spot Monkey and Japanese Junior.

A match that is labled as Technical Based is for workers who have the Style Technician (not completely sure if Japanese Juniors are good for this match but i do not think so)

A match that is labled as Hardcore Based is meant for workers with the Styles Psycopath (Brawlers may also do well in these matches but i am not sure)

A match that is labled as Comedy Based is meant for workers who have the Style Entertainer.

A worker with Regular Wrestler as their style can onlt do matches that are Regular Based

As the posters above mentioned, it occurs if the wrestler's stats mean that they could have performed better in a different type of match. It has nothing to do with styles.

It also does not incur a penalty, it's merely feedback telling you that you're not using them to the best of their abilities.

The match styles and the wrestling styles are entirely different. Anyone with good brawling or puro can do well in a brawl based match. Chris Jericho surely did fine in the Buried Alive match mentioned above, but he probably has better technical skills than his brawling, and he complained because he didn't really get a chance to showcase them.

High Spot is based on Aerial skills, Hardcore is Hardcore Skill (which, really most people are better at something else), and Technical is based on Technical skills. People are likely to have a wrestling style that is tailored to their highest skill, so people who have those styles should definitely perform well in such matches, but they are far from a requirement.

Comedy matches are based on comedy performance, not entertainment stats. Someone not very good at comedy gimmicks will struggle in that type of match, even they are the most entertaining worker in the world, and Eye Candy matches are based on sex appeal.

EDIT: Sniped by the man himself. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Vince would end up photobombing and calling dibs on a worker he could clearly see as the face of the company while showcasing the original and unique gimmick of Undertaker The Second, Taker2, NotSoDeadMan, DaPhenom, The NEW Undertaker...or Guy Who Is Using Mortician's Outfight and a Cowboy's Hat. All copyrighted immediately by the WWE to avoid any stealing of such wonderful and original ideas. You can believe that... :D
