Presents WWE No Mercy Live from the Golden 1 Center (Sacramento, California) 17,317 in attendance Only on the WWE Network Broadcast Team Mauro Ranallo, John Bradshaw Layfield, and David Otunga Welcome to No Mercy! The camera panned all around the Golden 1 Center, displaying members of the WWE Universe who were in completely pandemonium as they anticipated tonight's event. The camera then cut to the broadcast table where Mauro Ranallo, JBL, and David Otunga stood ready to greet the WWE Network viewing audience. Mauro Ranallo: SmackDown! returns to the WWE Network with another big show tonight! WWE Superstars are prepared to show No Mercy tonight. I'm Mauro Ranallo and with me are my broadcast colleagues John Bradshaw Layfield and David Otunga. Gentlemen, how about tonight's show? JBL: You said it best. Tonight, no mercy will be given when AJ Styles leaves Sacramento with the WWE World Championship. David Otunga: We'll see about that! You can't forget John Cena and Dolph Ziggler, either. An off the books fight. John Cena and Dolph Ziggler will be here live in a Non-Sanctioned Street Fight. That one won't be pretty. The three men continued to chat about tonight's show before Alberto Del Rio's entrance music would eventually place over the Golden 1 Center sound system. No Mercy would officially begin at the moment Alberto Del Rio stepped out on stage. Singles Match http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Alberto_El_Patron_zps8xxv1qif.jpg vs. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Sami_Zayn_zpsbkxy9oay.jpg Alberto Del Rio vs. Sami Zayn The WWE Universe wasted no time in letting it be known who they were supporting in this match as the Golden 1 Center broke out into an Ole chant. Del Rio did his best to ignore the chants before eventually shouting insults to the WWE Universe, a wave of boos breaking out as a result. The two superstars wasted no time in drawing in the WWE Universe into their match. Alberto Del Rio would use typical heel antics to keep the boos coming while Sami Zayn would utilize his fast-paced style to get the crowd behind him. While Alberto Del Rio proved to be a game opponent, Sami Zayn would achieve his first big SmackDown! win tonight. The moment came when Alberto Del Rio would narrowly miss a cornered Sami Zayn with a running double knee. While Alberto Del Rio rested against the turnbuckle to recover, Sami Zayn seized his moment with a Helluva Kick to gain the pin. Winner by pinfall at 13:21: Sami Zayn Grade: B- Respect is Earned http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Sami_Zayn_zpsbkxy9oay.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Alberto_El_Patron_zps8xxv1qif.jpg While the referee lifted Sami Zayn's arm into the air to signify victory, a seemingly angry Alberto Del Rio grabbed Sami Zayn's shoulder, and shifted the former NXT Champion so that the two men were now facing each other. Alberto Del Rio traded words with Sami Zayn before eventually extending his hand, in an act of giving Sami Zayn some respect. Sami Zayn wasn't sure if he could trust Alberto Del Rio and looked to the WWE Universe for guidance, to which pockets of No! chants broke out. Sami Zayn hesitantly reached his hand toward Del Rio's and to Sami Zayn's surprise, there was no treachery waiting on the other end. At the sight of a mutual respect, the WWE Universe began cheering as Alberto Del Rio lifted Sami Zayn's arm into the air to show the WWE Universe that tonight, the better man won. Grade: C+ No Disqualifications http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Dean_Muhtadi_zpsfqiijgrr.jpg vs. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Brett_Major_zpsatrdjvgn.jpg Mojo Rawley vs. Zack Ryder Zack Ryder started with an early advantage via a surprise attack on Mojo Rawley who was still making his way to the ringside. Mojo Rawley didn't let the advantage get to him and he eventually turned the tide by hitting Zack Ryder with a series of clubbing blows that sent Zack Ryder on the retreat. The two men fought around ringside with the match coming off as more of a brawl than anything resembling an actual wrestling match. Zack Ryder would even take things up a notch by repeatedly attacking Mojo Rawley with a steel chair. As hard as he tried, Rawley simply couldn't withstand the punishment that Zack Ryder was doting out with the steel chair. Seeing the damage done, Zack Ryder dropped the chair and decided to completely dispatch Mojo Rawley with a Ruff Ryder to earn the victory. Winner by pinfall at 8:52: Zack Ryder Grade: D+ http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Logos%20and%20Belts/WWE_Intercontinental10_zpswpr0bnu1.jpg WWE Intercontinental Championship http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Mike_Mizanin_zpsgeekwcir.jpg vs http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Shelton_Benjamin_zpscchmvfsg.jpg The Miz© vs. Shelton Benjamin The bout started much similar to their affair at Backlash with The Miz utilizing the referee to keep himself separated from Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin, still looking to avenge his mentor, Kurt Angle, did everything in his power to get his hands on The Miz. Shelton Benjamin would manage to get some offense in, taking out The Miz with another vertical suplex. The Miz tried to play the injured back angle again, but this time, the referee informed The Miz that the match must go on. At this point, The Miz resorted to other tactics to keep the match in his favor. He began with a poke to the eye and used the cheap shot to work over his own set of offense on Bejamin. The Miz tried for a Skull Crushing Finale, but Shelton Benjamin fought out of it. Shelton Benjamin then set up The Miz for a T-Bone Suplex, but The Miz managed a narrow escape. The near defeat was enough to cause The Miz to leave the ring, grabbing his WWE Intercontinental Championship in the process. While the referee began to the ten-count, Shelton Benjamin grew frustrated that the referee wouldn't let him chase after the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Thankfully for Shelton Benjamin, however… http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Kurt_Angle_zpsxglh8h40.jpg …The 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist would appear on stage behind The Miz. The moment The Miz noticed the appearance of Kurt Angle, the WWE Intercontinental Champion would slowly back down from Kurt Angle before getting back into the ring. Once in the ring, The Miz would find himself on the receiving end of a T-Bone Suplex, Shelton Benjamin earning his fourth WWE Intercontinental Championship victory in the process. Winner and NEW WWE Intercontinental Champion by pinfall at 13:26: Shelton Benjamin Grade: C+ Team Angle http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Kurt_Angle_zpsxglh8h40.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Shelton_Benjamin_zpscchmvfsg.jpg Kurt Angle would leave the ring, walking over toward the timekeeper's table where he would retrieve the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Kurt Angle would then step back into the ring, handing the Championship over to Shelton Benjamin. Shelton Benjamin took hold of the Intercontinental Championship, the realization of winning finally setting in. He and Kurt Angle then embraced in a congratulatory hug. Mauro Ranallo: What a moment, gentlemen. Teacher and student realizing a dream. Shelton Benjamin is our new WWE Intercontinental Champion! Grade: B Singles Match http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Rebecca_Knox_zpsnbcbgne3.jpg vs. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Trinity_Fatu_zpsidjmvqci.jpg Becky Lynch vs. Naomi While the match started off with both women being dead-even, the WWE Universe would unfortunately still not receive an answer on who the better woman was. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Nattie_Neidhart_zpstd7fjioi.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Alexis_Kaufman_zpsbpeajokz.jpg Hart of Bliss would make their presence known by coming out to ring side. While Naomi and Becky Lynch tried their best to ignore them and continue their contest, the constant jeering from Alexa Bliss and Natalya was enough to take both Becky Lynch and Naomi out of their element. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Jessie_McKay_zpsm5kdqtqw.jpg Eventually, Naomi and Becky Lynch formed an alliance to defend against a potential Hart of Bliss ambush. At that moment, Billie Kay sprinted down to ringside and blindsided Becky Lynch. Naomi turned her attention toward Billie Kay in an attempt to prevent her from keeping her attack going on Becky Lynch. Hart of Bliss saw their opening and the two women joined Billie Kay in attacking Becky Lynch and Naomi. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Leah_Van_Dale_zpshvg3c8of.jpg Looking to gain some revenge on Hart of Bliss, Carmella sprinted ringside and immediately went on the attack on Natalya and Alexa Bliss. At that moment, a six woman melee broke out. At the sight of the calamity, the referee had no choice but to rule the match a no contest. Becky Lynch vs. Naomi was ruled a No Contest at 7:39 Grade: D- The Ladies of SmackDown! http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Rebecca_Knox_zpsnbcbgne3.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Trinity_Fatu_zpsidjmvqci.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Leah_Van_Dale_zpshvg3c8of.jpg http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Nattie_Neidhart_zpstd7fjioi.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Alexis_Kaufman_zpsbpeajokz.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Jessie_McKay_zpsm5kdqtqw.jpg The brawl between the six women and eventually the alliance of Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Carmella was enough to send Hart of Bliss and Billie Kay retreating up the ramp. Mauro Ranallo: What a melee between these femme fatales, gentlemen! JBL: The battlelines have been drawn, fellas! From the stage, Natalya, Alexa Bliss, and Billie Kay pointed toward the ring and hurled insults toward Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Carmella who came together in celebrating their success in fighting off the Hart of Bliss Billie Kay alliance. Grade: C- What It Means to Be Non-Sanctioned The camera cut to the broadcast table, focusing on Mauro Ranallo, JBL, and David Otunga who displayed a professional, stern demeanor. Mauro Ranallo: Ladies and gentlemen of the WWE Universe, up next is the Non-Sanctioned Fight between Dolph Ziggler and John Cena. Gentlemen, on Twitter, we have received hundreds of questions and concerns regarding what, exactly, Non-Sanctioned means. Mr. Layfield, you're a former WWE Hardcore Champion. Would you mind explaining what it means for a match to not be sanctioned? JBL: Mauro, I have fought all over the world in a plethora of brutal matches. Never have I been in a match in this company that wasn't sanctioned by the WWE. Basically, in this business, WWE is the governing body of the matches that you, the WWE Universe, see on Raw, SmackDown!, and on the WWE Network. Regardless of what happens, WWE takes legal and medical responsibility in any match that takes place under their banner. A match that isn't sanctioned means the WWE as a company and governing body does not condone or endorse the bout. It means that WWE does not want any parts of it. It means that whatever happens, the WWE does not assume any responsibility. Legal, medical, or otherwise. In the WWE, there have only been two unsanctioned matches: Shawn Michaels vs. HHH and Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho. One could argue that Shawn Michaels had to retire due to the physical toll he took in both of those matches. Mauro Ranallo: And Mr. Otunga, a graduate at Harvard Law, before the broadcast you told us that you finally had a look at the complete paperwork. Would you mind telling us about it? David Otunga: As I understand it, the paperwork for this fight had to be revised and rewritten several times over the course of twelve days. I saw the finished product forty-eight hours ago and WWE's legal time has mad sure all of their bases are covered. Regardless of what takes place throughout this fight, WWE has completely absolved itself of any relationship to this fight. If any future physical, medical, or mental ailments can be pointed back to this night, WWE will not be legally held responsible. As per Dolph Ziggler's request, WWE is to provide a referee who's sole responsibility is to end the match when a definitive victor has been declared. Mauro, this isn't going to be a wrestling match. This is going to be a fight. Mauro Ranallo: WWE Universe, this one will not be for the faint of heart. Grade: B+ Unsanctioned Street Fight http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/John_Cena_zpsrflubcqb.jpg vs. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Nick_Nemeth_zpsdxrrxpz7.jpg John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler The most immediately noticeable thing about the bout was the fact that both John Cena and Dolph Ziggler traded in their usual wrestling attire for plain clothes. The decision to wear regular, plain clothes continued to build up the atmosphere of this bout not being about the usual theatrics and excitement of a WWE match, but more of a fight between two people who simply did not like each other. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan accompanied the referee who thoroughly explained to both men one more time that no one would be held accountable for whatever took place tonight. He once again reminded him that his only purpose is to declare a definitive winner. He asked both men if they understood and once they nodded in compliance, Shane and Daniel left the ring heading backstage. The referee then signaled for the fight to start. As David Otunga indicated earlier, this one wasn't pretty. Gone was the chain wrestling. Gone were the rest holds. Instead, closed fist punches, weapons, and the ringside environment found their place. The WWE Universe would let out Ohs! and [/i]Ahs![/i] as Dolph Ziggler and John Cena beat on each other all over the Golden 1 Center. Dolph Ziggler's more vicious side was on display in this fight. One moment in the match he was even seen choking John Cena with a cable cord. John Cena was not without his moments of violence either, as he bounced a broadcast monitor off the skull of Dolph Ziggler. The violence only continued to escalate from there on, as both men continued to find ways to dole out punishment on one another. John Cena even received a cut on the scalp of his head, blood eventually trickling down his face. At the sight of the cut, the referee put latex gloves on, but did not stop the fight to tend to the cut. In a moment that would surely mean victory for John Cena, the 15-time World Champion had Dolph Ziggler lying curled up against the bottom turnbuckle. John Cena lifted the steel steps, which had been used throughout the match, over his head and looked as if he was about to send them crashing down on Ziggler. Anger displayed on Cena's face, but he looked around at the WWE Universe, before taking a pause to consider his actions. Dolph Ziggler took that opportunity to kick John Cena between the legs who immediately dropped the steel steps as a result. At that moment, Ziggler took John Cena's back and had him locked in a sleeper hold. Dolph Ziggler kept his grip tightly on John Cena and the referee stepped in to check on Cena's condition. John Cena shocked the WWE Universe by standing up to his feet with Ziggler still attached to his back. John Cena moved to the ropes, but given the rules of the match, there was no rope break available for him. With the choke locked on tighter, John Cena eventually collapsed back to the canvas, and the referee pulled at Dolph Ziggler, deeming John Cena unable to compete. Winner by referee stoppage at 23:30: Dolph Ziggler Grade: B The Champ http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Shane_McMahon_zpsdoxwndox.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Daniel%20Bryan_zpseu24lsce.jpg http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/John_Cena_zpsrflubcqb.jpg With Dolph Ziggler heading to the back, the referee immediately moved to the motionless John Cena in an attempt to get a response. The WWE Universe grew quiet, showing genuine concern in regards to the state of John Cena. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan then stepped into the ring and joined the referee in checking on John Cena. Together, the three men helped John Cena back to his feet, who was slowly coming to. With one arm slung over Daniel Bryan's shoulder and the other slung over Shane McMahon's, the three men then headed up the ramp. A dazed, bloodied, and battered John Cena looked around the Golden 1 Center staring at the many faces who made up the WWE Universe. Out of a show of respect, the WWE Universe gave John Cena a standing ovation. The camera cut to the broadcast table showing Mauro Ranallo, JBL, and David Otunga who were standing and clapping for John Cena, too. The collectively applause continued until Daniel, Shane, and John disappeared behind the curtain. Erick Rowan's aggressive offense and strength and Luke Harper's size and deceptive agility allowed the duo to keep up with American Alpha, though. At one moment in the match, Luke Harper was able to take out both Jason Jordan and Chad Gable with a suicide dive to the outside. Things were looking to go end in Luke Harper and Erick Rowan's favor, until the lights in the Golden 1 Center shut off. The WWE Universe erupting in a cheer, knowing what the blackout meant. When the light's came on, a rocking chair could be seen on the stage. The chair's back was facing the ring and a figure could be seen rocking in it. With the lights fully back on in the arena, a signature fedora could be seen on the head of figure in the rocking chair. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper left the ring and charged up the ramp, knowing it to be Bray Wyatt. Once at the rocking chair, Erick Rowan knocked the rocking chair over and it was revealed that it was just a mannequin seated in the chair. Before Luke Harper could even realize what was happening, the referee finally made the 10-count and American Alpha were awarded the count out victory. Winners via count out at 11:09: American Alpha Grade: C The Return… http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Brodie_Lee_zpsyulke82m.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Thoruf_Marius_zpsmp3dcpjr.jpg With American Alpha gone from ringside and the referee chased off by Luke Harper, the duo of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper continued looking around ringside, convinced that Bray Wyatt was somewhere in the building. Luke Harper began furiously pacing around the ring as Erick Rown headed back up to the stage to check out the mannequin and rocking chair to see if there was any indication of a possible whereabouts for Bray Wyatt. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Windham_Rotunda_zpsevv2j39x.jpg Bray Wyatt appeared by crawling out from under the ring and he slowly moved into the ring stalking Luke Harper. The former Wyatt charge was turned around and dropped to the canvas with a Sister Abigail. Hearing the thud from the slam, Erick Rowan turned his attention to the ring, seeing his former leader. At the sight of Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan charged down the ramp, and the lights cut out once more. When the lights came back on, Erick Rowan found himself in the ring, but there was no Bray Wyatt. Erick Rowan then checked on Luke Harper. Over the Golden 1 Center sound system, Bray Wyatt could be heard shouting Follow the Buzzards!. Hearing Bray Wyatt's voice, Erick Rowan stood back up trying to figure out just where Bray Wyatt had disappeared to. Dean Ambrose was the first to get the crowd hot by running across both the SmackDown! Live and Spanish Broadcast Tables to jump over the ring barricade, landing on both Randy Orton and AJ Styles who were fighting in the front row. The three men didn't neglect the fans in the upper rows, either, as eventually Champions and Challengers got lost among mass of WWE fans who made up the WWE Universe. The camera would occasionally pick up traces of the three, as they punched and kicked at each other while moving throughout raucous WWE Universe. The camera would cut to the arena lobby where the three would continue their fight near a concession stand. In a moment that brought the WWE Universe a laugh, Dean Ambrose even made some popcorn before throwing the bag at AJ Styles. Things would get back to being serious, though, once Randy Orton took Dean Ambrose out with a powerslam on the tiled lobby floor. The three fought throughout various sections of the arena before returning to the stage of the No Mercy set. Dean Ambrose would come out from behind the curtain with a fire extinguisher, blasting both Randy Orton and AJ Styles with it, the three men eventually returning to ringside shortly after. A This is awesome! chant broke out when Dean Ambrose took Randy Orton out with a suicide dive to the outside. AJ Styles would then follow that up by clearing the top rope and landing on both Ambrose and Orton. The three would trade pins along the ramp, in front of the broadcast table, and in the ring, but none of them would be able to secure a victory until a sequence of events finally transpired: AJ Styles, thinking he had his opportunity, sprung off the top rope, intending to hit Dean Ambrose with a Phenomenal Forearm Smash. Randy Orton shoved Dean Ambrose out of the way and caught AJ Styles with an RKO. Dean Ambrose rebounded off the ropes after being shoved, and looked to hit Randy Orton with a Ropebound Lariat, Randy Orton saw it coming and caught the arm, looking to hit a second RKO. Dean Ambrose however, spun out of the move before dropping Randy Orton with a Dirty Deeds. As a result, Dean Ambrose was able to successfully defend his WWE World Championship once more. Winner and STILL WWE World Champion by pinfall at 25:02: Dean Ambrose (Randy Orton pinned) Grade: B- To Kill a Viper http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/AJ_Styles_zpsx1feqifk.jpg http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Randy_Orton_zpsi89lxdy2.jpg After celebrating his victory with the WWE Universe, Dean Ambrose headed to the back. Randy Orton, still feeling the effects, of a Dirty Deeds was slowly moving back to his feet. However, before Randy Orton could fully come to, AJ Styles returned to the ring with a chair and immediately began slamming the steel repeatedly over Randy Orton's back. David Otunga: What the hell has got into AJ? Mauro Ranallo: AJ was hit with that RKO. I think he believes Randy Orton is the reason he lost. While the three men discussed and admonished AJ Styles for his actions, AJ Styles continue to slam the steel chair over Randy Orton's back. When the chair had become misshapen, AJ Styles tossed it aside, smirked at the work he had done, and then left the ring. JBL: That's all about sending a message, folks. You get in the Heartbreak Kid's way, that's what happens. Randy Orton earned his Viper name for doing this exact thing. He just got a taste of his own medicine. Phenomenal began playing over the Golden 1 Center sound system. The camera eventually cut to AJ Styles who raised his arms in the air from the stage. No Mercy then went off the air. Grade: B+ No Mercy Grade: B -What...a...show. I really put my all in developing this card. An excellent turn out. -Billie Kay is officially a member of the WWE Universe. That was a call-up that I never had planned in the beginning of this Diary. I'm glad it happened, though. She'll make a good fit. -Glad to finally see Dolph Ziggler and John Cena steal the show. I know I don't go into the specifics too much, but John Cena is actually working through an injury in my Diary which is why the first two matches got lower ratings. Even with the potential rematch penalty, the two stepped up and put on the best match of the night. -Survivor Series is next. Let me just say I am planning for it to be BIG. -Any and all feedback is appreciated it. Let me know what you thought about No Mercy!

I said there were some names in this company that I wanted to have an opportunity to lock up with before I hang up my boots for good. Well, Dolph Ziggler was one of those names.</p><p> </p><p> The WWE Universe broke into small pockets of boos at the mere mention of Dolph Ziggler.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kurt Angle:</strong> Now I said was, because a few months ago, the Dolph Ziggler that I was watching on the WWE Network was bringing his A-Game in every match win, lose, or draw every single time he stepped in that right. This "new" Dolph Ziggler, though. He's a selfish, egotistical cry baby, and well…I just want to kick his ass. You've seen my stuff on the Network, you know John Cena and I never exactly saw eye to eye, but I've always respected him for his character and for what he's done for this business. Dolph Ziggler has no respect. Not for John. Not for this company. Most importantly, not for the WWE Universe. So at Survivor Series, I'm going to make his ass tap in the middle of this ring.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Nick_Nemeth_zpsdxrrxpz7.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <em>Here to Show the World</em> played over the PA System and Dolph Ziggler stepped out on stage already equipped with a microphone.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Dolph Ziggler:</strong> I did it again. There I went thinking irrefutably beating John Cena would show the world that I am the hottest thing in this company. I left No Mercy knowing that I was next in line for a WWE World Championship match. Last Tuesday, I came out to this ring knowing it was mine. Wrong. Again. Another pat on the back from Shane and Daniel and a "We need you in a special attraction match to wow the Universe". Well, I am SICK of pandering to the WWE Universe. You don't deserve the share the ring and the spotlight with me, old man.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kurt Angle:</strong> How about you stop running your mouth and come down here? Show the entire WWE Universe how much this "old man" doesn't belong in the ring with you.</p><p> </p><p> Kurt Angle's microphone made a loud thud once it hit the canvas. The Olympic Gold Medalist then started pacing around the ring, welcoming Dolph Ziggler to join him. Instead, Dolph Ziggler decided to decline the invite, opting to disappear behind the curtain instead.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Grade: A</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42415" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Natalya vs. Naomi</strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Nattie_Neidhart_zpstd7fjioi.jpg</span> w/ <span>http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Alexis_Kaufman_zpsbpeajokz.jpg</span> vs. <span>http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Trinity_Fatu_zpsidjmvqci.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The combined force of Alexa Bliss and Natalya was enough to keep Naomi off her game. John Cena was not scheduled to be here tonight.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>JBL:</strong> And he's looking good. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>David Otunga:</strong> Listen to this WWE Universe right now.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>John Cena:</strong> WWE Legal said I couldn't talk about Sunday, so…I'm going to talk about Sunday. Every day since that night, I've been asked the same question "John, why did you hesitate? You could have ended it right there. Why didn't you?" the answer is simple: that's not me. When I had those steel steps above my head, seconds away from throwing them at Dolph Ziggler, I thought about the moms and dads in the WWE Universe who come up to me and thank me for being an inspiration to their children. I thought about those children sitting with their parents on Sunday night, watching that fight with Dolph Ziggler take place. Hurting somebody, potentially ending their career, that's not me. That's not the message I send. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>JBL:</strong> That's a world-class professional.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>John Cena:</strong> There's a reason why I'm where I'm at today. It's not because I'm the best wrestler. It's not because of beating people up. It's because whether you love me or hate me, I will always put the WWE Universe first! The idea of hundreds of thousands of kids, who look up to me as inspiration, watching me try to end another man's career. That didn't set right with me. So yeah, I choked. But if you ask me I regret that or if I could rewind time and do things differently: NO! Everything I do, I do for the WWE Universe!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Jon_Moxley_zps9fqxcg10.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> <em>Retaliation</em> blared throughout the arena and the WWE World Champion came out on stage before heading into the ring. What you just said right there is why I respect the hell out of you. This company, this business. It means everything to you. You live, eat, sleep, and breathe WWE. But brotha, not anywhere near as much as I do. John Cena, I'm not out here to talk cheap or get under your skin. I'm here to create a legacy all of my own. That legacy starts with you. If I'm going to be one of the all-time greats, I have to beat an all-time great. So Survivor Series, I was thinking that we give the WWE Universe something they've never seen. Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena. What do ya think?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>John Cena:</strong> These people know I never back down. Janpei
<p><strong>Talking Smack With Janpei</strong></p><p> </p><p> -Something I'll occasionally do after shows. Just a fun out of character thing.</p><p> </p><p> -After reading this most recent SmackDown! you now remember when I said that Shane/Daniel weren't going to get Sami Zayn without a price.</p><p> </p><p> -I was so disappointed with how SummerSlam turned out in my Diary and how thrown together everything felt, that I decided to make Survivor Series the biggest show of the winter. Honestly, given the fact that NXT: Toronto will be taking place the day before, don't be surprised if WWE decides to add a fourth hour to this year's Survivor Series. Even if they don't, going four hours with Survivor Series in my Diary is something I had planned for a while.</p><p> </p><p> -Hell in a Cell is up next in my save. I'll post quick results when I actually put it together in TEW, which will probably be sometime tomorrow or later in the week. The main events for the show are Rusev vs. Roman Reigns for the US Championship in a Hell in a Cell and then Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship.</p><p> </p><p> -The SmackDown! Survivor Series match is going to be great, I think. So far, we know AJ Styles has Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Baron Corbin. Randy Orton has Sami Zayn. You guys feel like taking a shot at who will complete their respective teams?</p><p> </p><p> -Throughout playing my save, I've picked up a couple of people here and there and sent them to development. They probably won't ever see the light of day in this particular Diary, but who knows. A couple of the NXT signings were Crazy Mary Dobson (who will most likely be debuting as Sarah Dobson), Roderick Strong (who isn't there to really work on skills or anything, I just want him to work some main event programs with Joe), and Akira Tozawa. On the fence on whether I want Shingo, as well.</p><p> </p><p> -And again, thank you for reading!</p>

Live Live from the Royal Farms Arena (Baltimore, Maryland) 10,547 in attendance Broadcast Table Mauro Ranallo, David Otunga, John Bradshaw Layfield Miz TV http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Mike_Mizanin_zpsgeekwcir.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Maryse_Mizanin_zpsct4vdmhc.jpg The latest edition of SmackDown! Live would begin with a new episode of Miz TV. Props adorned the wrestling ring and once the camera finally set focus on The Miz TV host, The Miz and wife Maryse, the WWE Universe that made up the Royal Farms Arena showed their disapproval by showering the former WWE Intercontinental Champion with boos. Mauro Ranallo: WWE Universe, welcome to SmackDown! Live on the USA Network. It appears that we're being treated to another installment of talk show, Miz TV. The Miz: When my hand goes up, your mouth goes shut! While making the declaration, The Miz slowly lifted his hand into the air as if to command the WWE Universe. He, of course, was met with even more boys. The Miz: Miz TV is the #1 talk show in all of WWE. The show is becoming such a hot topic in fact, that I was even offered a series on the WWE Network. With my commitments both in this ring and in Hollywood, I unfortunately had to turn it down. David Otunga: Thank goodness! John Bradshaw Layfield: Are you crazy!? Network subscribers would have doubled, maybe tripled! The Miz: Tonight is a very special edition of Miz TV. While I am a very busy man, I was personally contacted by guest so that he could deliver some breaking news. I don't necessarily like the guy, but as a consummate professional, it is my job first and foremost to guarantee that you can rely on Miz TV for the latest scoop in the WWE. Without further ado, allow me to introduce my guest. Announcing his fifth and final Survivor Series partner: A…J…STYLES! David Otunga: Oh, you have got to be kidding me… http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/AJ_Styles_zpsx1feqifk.jpg The moment "Phenomenal" played on the soundsystem, the WWE Universe broke into a mixed reaction. While there were pockets of AJ fans who showed their support with small bursts of cheering, the WWE Universe overall welcomed the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion with boos. Regardless, "The Phenomenal One" shrugged it off as he made his way to the ring with a rather large grin. AJ Styles: I said I wanted the red carpets rolled out for my big reveal and what better way to do it than on the number one must see talk show in WWE? But Miz, before I even make the big announcement, you know what…just roll the footage! The titantron display lit up with a clip from last week's episode of SmackDown! Live. The video recapped the carnage that took place in last Tuesday's main event highlighting the success of the ambush on Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio, and Sami Zayn at the hands of AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan. AJ Styles: WWE Universe what you just watched wasn't a replay of last week. You're looking at Survivor Series when I beat that punk, Randy Orton, to a pulp. David Otunga: It was four on three, AJ… JBL: It's Survivor Series, David! It could be four on one! Mauro Ranallo: Referring to the elimination rules of the tag team contest. Numbers will certainly play a major factor. AJ Styles: Going back to last week, it seems that those knuckleheads didn't get enough. Sami Zayn wants Baron Corbin tonight. I can't wait to watch him rip your head from your shoulders. Randy, what kind of team captain are you, anyway? Aren't you tired of your boys taking a beating? Will there even be any of your team left for Survivor Series? Mauro Ranallo: Even I'll have to admit that it might have been a little foolhardy of Sami Zayn to challenge Baron Corbin. AJ Styles: But back to my big news! I have a pack of killers on my team. Rowan, Harper, Corbin. They like to hurt people by any means necessary. But what I need is cunning and cutthroat. Someone who is willing to throw the rules out of the window if it means picking up a win. I need intelligence. I need tactical. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Shawn_Spears_zpsnu0c6bps.jpg "Ten" hit the soundsystem to the bewilderment of both AJ Styles and the WWE Universe who were yet perhaps still unfamiliar with the NXT superstar. Mauro Ranallo: We've been seeing vignettes advertising his debut playing for the last few weeks. Could this be the fifth man? JBL: I gotta question AJ Styles here. No disrespect to Dillinger, but he's unproven! Tye Dillinger made his arrival to the SmackDown! Live stage doing the "TEN" gesture to the WWE Universe. Those who were familiar with his time in NXT responded by shouting "TEN" back. A few fan made "10" signs could even be spotted throughout the arena. AJ Styles and The Miz exchanged confused looks as Dillinger made his way into the ring. Tye Dillinger: What you need is perfection. What you need is a ten. What you need is Tye Dillinger the Perfect 10. AJ Styles: The what…? Who are you? Tye Dillinger: Who I am doesn't matter. You'll know soon enough just like they all knew in NXT. All that matters is that at Survivor Series, The Perfect Ten has your back. AJ Styles: I don't want you having my back, you idiot! You're not on my team. Before Tye Dillinger could even respond, The Miz struck from behind dispatching Dillinger with a Skull Crushing Finale. AJ Styles: The fifth and final member of Team Phenomenal at Survivor Series: The Miz! Both men looked down at the incapacitated Tye Dillinger before finally taunting to the crowd. The camera then cut to the SmackDown! Broadcast Team. Mauro Ranallo: Well…that's one way to make your debut on SmackDown, gentlemen. David Otunga: Tye Dillinger was just trying to get his name out there. Show that he belongs on this brand. What Miz did was completely uncalled for. JBL: But what a final pick for Styles' team. A multi time Intercontinental Champion. A multi time United States Champion. A former World Champion. Defeated John Cena in the Wrestlemania 27 Main Event. The Miz knows how to win. Naomi did her best to keep her head on a swivel and watch out for the antics from both girls, but a distraction from Peyton Royce led to a boot to the face to Naomi from Billie Kay giving the Australian another big win. Winner by pinfall at 8:17 - Billie Kay http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Rebecca_Knox_zpsnbcbgne3.jpg At the end of the match, Becky Lynch would make an appearance at ringside, chasing off the Australian duo before they could begin a post-match assault on Naomi. General Manager, Daniel Bryan's, office where he is seen standing with Shane McMahon. Instead of the two engaging in a conversation with each other, they're instead facing the camera, prepared to address the WWE Universe directly. Daniel Bryan: Ladies and gentlemen of the WWE Universe, Shane and myself just want to thank you for showing your continued support for SmackDown! each and every Tuesday. Shane McMahon: I also want to apologize. I thought I could stoop to my sister's level and give our brand a competitive advantage. Unfortunately, I wasn't the one who got the last laugh as we lost one of the many tag teams that we were excited to build this brand with. Lesson learned. Daniel Bryan: We've decided that we cannot allow something like that to happen again. With that we are proud to announce that we will be introducing a SmackDown! Tag Team Championship and a SmackDown! Women's Championship at our next Network exclusive, Tables, Ladders, & Chairs. Shane McMahon: Admittedly, we were caught off guard two weeks ago so things kind of feel a little rushed at the moment. So we are taking this time to inform you that next week we will start the opening round of an eight team tournament with the finals being held in a ladder match at TLC. Daniel Bryan: As Shane said, we're kind of trying to figure things out as we go, so we haven't exactly figured out what we're doing for the Women's Division, but we are paying very close attention to the women competitors of the SmackDown! brand. Shane McMahon: So we hope you, The WWE Universe, keep showing us love by joining us when we crown the first ever SmackDown! Tag Team Champions and Women's Champion in December! Broadcast Team advertised the match as a preview for the tag team tournament. While the match itself didn't have too long of a run-time, all four teams involved got some moments to show off some of their offense. The main purpose of the match was to put the spotlight on the growing team of Rhyno and Mojo Rawley who had recently been stringing together a series of wins on Main Event. That winning streak continued tonight, as well, when Rhyno gained the victory for his team after flooring Fandango with a gore. I spent the first half of this year letting other people in this locker room and the WWE Universe hold me back. Finally, I've wised up and look where I'm at now. Kalisto: I was trying to do the same thing to you. Of course not, but it actually got me thinking. We showed some pretty good team work out there last week. And now there's Tag Team Championships coming to SmackDown! Live. From what I heard, there's still spots to fill in that tournament… Apollo Crews: That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. We've wrestled so many times all over the country. No one knows what I can do more than you. Kalisto: Right? And we've got that perfect combination of power and speed. These other teams won't know what hit them. Apollo Crews: Okay, I'm sold! I'm trying to make history in the WWE. What better way to do that than becoming the first ever SmackDown! Tag Team Champion? Kalisto: That's what I'm talking about, Apollo! Grade: D+ Survivor Series Contract Signing http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Jon_Moxley_zps9fqxcg10.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/John_Cena_zpsrflubcqb.jpg A graphic played on the SmackDown! Live Titantron that featured WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose and WWE World Championship Contender John Cena. Mauro Ranallo: Next week will not be a SmackDown! Live you will want to miss. Dean Ambrose and John Cena officially sign the contract for their WWE World Championship contest at Survivor Series. JBL: Big Match John and The Lunatic sign on the dotted line and you know how a WWE contract signing goes, fellas! David Otunaga: With those two, anything is liable to happen! Grade: B+ Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Sami_Zayn_zpsbkxy9oay.jpg vs. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Tom_Pestock_zpsk3fuk3my.jpg Sami Zayn looked for an early advantage by diving over the top rope and collapsing onto Baron Corbin who was still making his entrance into the ring. The fight continued on the outside of the ring, with the WWE Universe who made up the front row of the arena getting a very up close look at the series of punches that the two men would exchange. Baron Corbin would eventually get the upper hand on the outside after slamming Zayn's head into the SmackDown! commentary table. With Sami Zayn being dazed from the blow, Baron Corbin would toss the former NXT Champion into the ring which allowed the contest to officially begin. Baron Corbin played his role as the intimidating big man really well and this greatly complemented Sami Zayn's work as the underdog. The WWE Universe fed into it, offering Sami Zayn support in the form of cheering as he would make his comeback by hitting Baron Corbin with a series of forearms before taking The Lone Wolf off his feet with a drop kick. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/AJ_Styles_zpsx1feqifk.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Mike_Mizanin_zpsgeekwcir.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Brodie_Lee_zpsyulke82m.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Thoruf_Marius_zpsmp3dcpjr.jpg Like last week, Sami Zayn had triggered the trap and out came Survivor Series Team Captain AJ Styles flanked by the rest of his team. As indicated by AJ Styles last week, it was clear that winning the match tonight wasn't the goal, as all four men entered the ring before being joined by Baron Corbin in their assault of Zayn. Winner by Disqualification at 13:59 - Sami Zayn http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Randy_Orton_zpsi89lxdy2.jpghttp://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Alberto_El_Patron_zps8xxv1qif.jpg "Voices" hit the soundsystem and before the WWE Universe could properly respond, Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio sprinted into the ring to engage with AJ Styles and his Survivor Series allies. The numbers were overwhelming, and like last week, Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio fell victim to the offense of Team Phenomenal. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Shawn_Spears_zpsnu0c6bps.jpg After being embarrassed at the beginning of the show, Tye Dillinger looked to gain some revenge and wasted little time nailing AJ Styles, The Miz, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Baron Corbin with a series of punches. The offense from Tye Dillinger was enough to put Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, and Alberto Del Rio back in the fight who joined "The Perfect Ten" in attacking anyone who moved. Whatever comeback Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, and Alberto Del Rio were making was only momentary as the five man team of AJ Styles, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, Baron Corbin, and The Miz were able overwhelm Orton, Zayn, Del Rio, and Dillinger. The events looked to be playing out much like last week until the lights in the arena cut out. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Windham_Rotunda_zpsevv2j39x.jpg When the lights came back on, Bray Wyatt had joined the other nine men in the ring and while AJ Styles was startled, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper immediately broke away and began brawling with Wyatt. The chaos from Wyatt's appearance gave Orton, Zayn, Del Rio, and Dillinger enough time to get back in the fight and eventually AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, The Miz, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan were forced to retreat up the ramp. Mauro Ranallo: Could we be looking at Team Orton? JBL: No! What we're looking at is the land of misfit toys! David Otunga: I kind of like it. In the ring, Bray Wyatt paced around, daring Erick Rowan and Luke Harper to come back in. Meanwhile, Randy Orton looked from Del Rio to Sami Zayn. The three of them then looked over to Tye Dillinger and Bray Wyatt before nodding, as if to confirm that Wyatt and Dillinger would round off Randy Orton's team. Match Grade: C+ Segment Grade: B First Strike http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Nick_Nemeth_zpsdxrrxpz7.jpg "Here to Show the World" hit the Royal Farms Arena sound system and The Show Off, Dolph Ziggler, begrudgingly made his way to ringside in the final segment of SmackDown! Live. Mauro Ranallo: Looks like Dolph Ziggler has something to say here, gentlemen. Dolph Ziggler: You know…I'm always their guy. Not their guy like John Cena or Roman Reigns. Or hell not even their guy like Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose. No, those are the guys that the WWE Machine doubles down on. They produce the most merchandise for them so they can in turn sell the most merchandise. They're the only ones who are given marquee matches so they can say that guys like me aren't big enough and use that as an excuse to explain why I'm not on posters or why I'm not fighting for Championships even though I've beaten their guy. When I say I'm their guy, I'm the guy who does the heavy lifting. "Hey, Dolph, we have 20 minutes to fill. Go out their and put on a show until and get the crowd warmed up for John Cena's match" or "Hey, Dolph, we want to make sure Dean is healthy for our next big show, so we need you to work his event dates" and most recently "Hey, Dolph, we have this old timer here who thinks you'll be an easy match and wants you to be his stepping stone at getting back to the top. The fans will love it." David Otunga: Do you have a point here, Ziggler? JBL: Let the man speak, Dave! Dolph Ziggler: I don't know what Shane and Daniel told you when you requested this match with me at Survivor Series, Kurt. I'm no one's stepping stone. No, you're my stepping stone. If beating you within an inch of your life is what I have to do to get my name on the front of a program or my face on the poster of a big show, then it looks like I'm going to have to cut your WWE return short. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah91/Janpei/Roster/Kurt_Angle_zpsxglh8h40.jpg At that moment "Medal" played over the sound system and the Olympic Gold Medalist made a surprise appearance on stage before making his way into the ring. Mauro Ranallo: Kurt Angle! Did any of you know he was going to be here? JBL: I had no idea! One of the greatest athletes to step in that ring. What a surprise, fellas! David Otunga: Now let's see if Dolph says any of that to his face. Kurt Angle: Is that all you do? Bitch and moan? When I came back in August I said I wanted to spend the rest of my career wrestling a who's who of the WWE. You were one of the first names on that last. You're a hell of a talent. But this…whatever it is you've been doing…it's pathetic. The crowd showed their agreement by cheering. Kurt Angle: Let me share something with you. When I debuted, do you think "the machine" was behind me? My name wasn't The Rock, or The Undertaker, or Stone Cold, or Triple H? I just worked my ass off every single day. That's how I got the locker room's respect. That's how I got the WWE's attention. So…are you going to cry and complain or are you going to try to get my attention? At that moment, Kurt Angle dropped his microphone and got in Ziggler's face. Though Ziggler exchanged words with Kurt, he backed away, proving Kurt Angle's point. However, Dolph, used the moment to attempt a superkick, but much to the WWE Universe's delight, Kurt caught the kick and countered it by setting up for an ankle lock. Dolph Ziggler writhed out of Kurt Angle's control and eventually slid out of the ring before moving up the ramp with a look of frustration on his face. Kurt Angle once again picked up the microphone before speaking. Kurt Angle: I'll see you at Survivor Series Mauro Ranallo: What a way to end SmackDown! I want to humble him.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>David Otunga:</strong> Kurt, when do you hang the boots up?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kurt Angle:</strong> I don't know. I'm not delusional. I know it's coming. My body just doesn't move like it did when JBL and I were in there. I made a list. I have a list of names I want to wrestle in this company before saying it's time. To keep this Championship around my waist, I've had to overcome my brothers from The Shield, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, those aren't names you just shrug at. But for some reason, I don't feel it's enough. For the last couple of months I felt like there was something missing before I could cement myself among some of the greatest Champions in WWE history. Then I realized that you're the something missing. I hear JBL on commentary. You're Big Match John. You're the franchise player. You're the dynasty. You're the face of the WWE. Well, I got news for you jack. I'm trying to cement a legacy of my own. There's a guy from North Carolina who once said "To be the man, you have to beat the man" I am one. The main problem I had with the brand vs. brand stuff at Survivor Series was the brand split wasn't even six months old. Neither Raw or SmackDown! have really established their identities and the idea of having the separate rosters face each other didn't feel fresh or new since a lot of those guys had been involved in feuds prior to the split. For instance, the Jericho vs. Styles and Jericho vs. Ambrose feuds weren't even a year old yet. </p><p> </p><p> So for at least the first year, I plan on keeping the core rosters separate.
