Smoky Mountain Wrestling Television #1

Aired July 2nd, 1994

Personality Profile:
Les Thatcher is with Tammy "Sunny" Fytch. Les asks Tammy what she thinks about her teams chances against The Rock N' Roll Express in the main event tag team title match. Tammy states since her duo defeated the Express for the titles, they'll do it again, and it'll be a breeze.

Match: Chris Hamrick d. Steve "Easy Money" Skyfire with the Confederate Crush.

Main Event: Rock N' Roll Express vs. Lee & Candido for the SMW Tag Team Championship

The Rock N' Roll make an elaborate entrance, and the crowd pops huge for the SMW legends. Chris Candido and Brian Lee struggle to work as a team, and Tammy increasingly grows frustrated with her clients. The Rock N' Roll utilize their superior chemistry to get the upper hand, consistently staying one step ahead of their opponents. Tammy whispers something in Brian Lee's ear at ringside, and as Candido tries to tag him in, Brian Lee slams his partners head into the turnbuckle and Ricky Morton rolls up Candido to win the Tag Team Championships!

Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson celebrate, belts held high in the air, until Rex King and Steve Doll charge the ring! They put the boots to the Rock and Roll and pose with the belts!

Rock N' Roll Express d. Lee & Candido to win the SMW Tag Team Championships. This is their eighth SMW Tag Team Title Win.

Smoky Mountain Wrestling Television #2

Aired July 9th, 1994

Personality Profile:
Les Thatcher is with Brian Lee alongside Tammy Fytch. Lee states he turned on Candido because he was too small to take the punishment, and he brought in a partner with more muscle. He states with this man he can easily beat the Express, but first he's gonna take care of Chris Candido. Out comes Tom Brandi, who is set to take on local talent Big Tilly.

Match: Tom Brandi d. Big Tilly with the Tilt-a-Whirl Bodyslam.

Angle:
Ron Wright announces his new clients, Rex King and Steve Doll, the southern rockers. He states the Southern Rockers represent true "old-time" Rock and N' Roll, and Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson are posers who only rock on camera. Wright says he'll see the Express at SMW Presents Night of Legends.

Match: Brian Lee d. Chris Hamrick with The Prime Time Slam.

Main Event: Southern Rockers vs. The Armstrongs (Bob, Scott and Steve)

The Rockers face off against The Armstrongs, including Patriarch Bob Armstrong, in the Main Event. The Southern Rockers dominate each opponent, with Rex King beating the tar out of all three, including a vicious power bomb to Bob. The match is brutal and one-sided, with all three Armstrongs getting busted open, bleeding on the canvas. Bob, Scott and Steve quickly tagged in and out to avoid getting pinned, breaking up the pin several times. Rex King finally gets Bob Armstrong down for the count while his seed looks on helplessly from ringside.

The Southern Rockers d. The Armstrongs after Rex King pinned Bob Armstrong after hitting a powerbomb.

Haha that makes sense. Though to be fair seeing Robert Gibson he doesn't look any different. Any way SMW could have pretty good success with guys like Jericho, Storm and Candino!

True. I've attached the prologue in the Dynasty section. I'll probably mostly post on this in the school-year and devote more to the other section in the "not" school year.

I'll post prediction cards for the Events.

Smoky Mountain Wrestling Television #4

Aired July 23rd, 1994

Angle:
Tammy Fytch opens the show with Beat The Champ Television Champion Tracy Smothers. Tammy propositions Smothers for her new client, Tom Brandi, to be the 5th Beat The Champ Television Challenger. Tracy Smothers denies her advances, declares he is a fighting champion and even with 5,000 on the line, he will take on Tom Brandi tonight for the Beat The Champ Television Champion!

Match: The Mongolian Stomper d. Marty Garner by Submission.

Personality Profile:
Les Thatcher is with Randy Hales. Thatcher announces the four quarterfinals for the SMW Heavyweight Title Tournament occurring at Night of Legends. Les gets to the last participant... and it is a mystery man! Randy Hales says this will be his entrant, and it would be a day-of-the-event surprise for Bob Armstrong. Armstrong charges out, tells Randy to stop playing coward, and that he has announced his team for Night of Legends: Wahoo McDaniel and Ronnie Garvin! Randy Hales is unshaken.

Match: Scott Stud d. George South by pinfall with the America-Plex.

Angle:
Randy is backstage jaw jacking with the Mongolian Stomper. He tells the Stomper with his help, that the Stomper can win the SMW Heavyweight Championship. Randy asks Stomper to be his mystery man to face off with Bob Armstrong. The Stomper looks into his eyes, angry, and motions to punch him... but instead shakes his hand! He agrees to work with FITE against Bob Armstrong.

SMW Beat The Champ Television Title Match: Tracy Smothers © vs. Tom Brandi

If Smothers defends the Beat The Champ Television Title successfully, he wins $5,000

Tom Brandi enters first, alongside Tammy Fytch, with Brian Lee in the background. He sets up a chair and sits near ringside. Tom Brandi goes after Smothers, hot, immediately laying several hard punches. Early on, Brandi has the champion against the ropes. Smothers begins to make a comeback. He slows down the pace, picks his spots, and forces Tom Brandi to the mat. He wrenches Brandi, but Brandi refuses to submit, and makes it to the ropes. The referee resets the match here. Smothers charges Brandi, and Brandi ducks, and rolls out of the ring! Tom Brandi is hot. He immediately starts talking to the referee, claiming that Smothers jumped the gun after the match was reset! While the referee was distracted, Tammy Fytch slams Tracy Smothers with her loaded purse! Tom Brandi hits the Tilt-A-Whirl DDT and covers Smothers for the victory.

Tom Brandi d. Tracy Smothers by pinfall after Tammy Fytch interfered.

Angle:
Randy Hales meets Bob Armstrong in the Hall after the show. He tells Armstrong if he really believes in that "dream team" to put his job on the line: if Hales' clients can beat Armstrong's men two times of three at Night of Legends, FITE Membership will become mandatory in SMW. However, if Armstrong defeats Randy in two of three matches, the Union will disband. Randy Hales says Cornette left him with the power to make a deal, and he's being generous with the terms. Armstrong thinks, and with confidence in his dream team, says "alright".

That should be the full card -- we have one more week of TV here so the "official card" will be a week or two away.

In the
first quarterfinal match-up
, Dirty White Boy goes up against Kendo The Samurai. The two are evenly matched, and engage in a wild brawling affair for several minutes, with Kendo having the early advantage. The Dirty White Boy makes a stirring comeback,
nailing Kendo with the Buckshot Blaster to move onto the semifinals.

The World Jr. Heavyweight Champion
Bobby Blaze strolls down to the arena, ready to face challenger Chris Hamrick. The bought is brutal and ugly, with both hitting hard pyro-influenced kicks, brutalizing each other at a fast pace. Bobby has the size advantage, and his smaller opponent clearly can't keep up.
He nails the Blaze Buster for the three count and defends his title.

Ron Wright cuts a promo ripping apart the Rock N' Roll. Steve Doll and Rex King jeer their opponents, getting over their imminent easy win in tonight's Main Event.

In the first of the best of three series, FITE dominate the lovable Armstrong Brothers. Both brothers are brutally outpowered by the Union Men, who thrash their smaller opponents. Bruiser Bedlam hits a brutal lariat before covering Steve Armstrong for the pinfall victory.
The Federation of International Thugs and Eliminators lead Bob Armstrong & Co. 1-0 in the best of three series.

In our second semifinal match,
Tom Brandi and Tracey Smothers face off for a possible future shot at the SMW Heavyweight Championship
. The two engage in a slow-paced, very even contest, and for several minutes the two are literally neck and neck. Tammy Fytch interferes on behalf of her client, grabbing ahold of Smothers' foot, as Brandi gets several stiff strikes in. This is a turning point, Brandi gets ahead, and hits the tilt-a-whirl powerslam... but Smothers manages to kick out! Tammy Fytch is furious, and both run down the referee for several seconds, allowing Tracey Smothers to sneak up and roll up Tom Brandi for a flash pinfall!
Tracey Smothers advances to the SMW World Heavyweight Tournament semifinals!

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SMW/May%20Champions/LegendsMatch_zpspkhjiacn.png

Bob Armstrong sits ringside for the second match in our best-of-three series.
The Hardliners, with Randy Hales, take on Bob's team of Wahoo McDaniel and Ronnie Garvin.
"Rugged" Ronnie Garvin is in the ring with Slater, and the two engage in a brutal back-and-forth exchange, ending when Randy Hales hits The Hands of Stone with a loaded cane. Dick Slater goes for the pinfall... Garvin throws him off after one, and tags in Wahoo. Wahoo dominates "Dirty" Dick Slater in a one-sided exchange, who decides discretion is the better part of valor and tags in Murdoch. The two are again even, and both play to the crowd in an intense exchange.

Neither can gain the advantage, and with both tuckered out, the teams make a double tag. Garvin struggles with Dick Slater, showing wear, and gets thrown into the enemy corner, and both Murdoch and Slater work over Garvin with a vicious series of mocking chops. Slater, the legal man, pushes his opponent to middle ring, and Garvin tries to tag in -- but Slater throws him over the ropes! Wahoo jumps into the ring, and makes a triumphant comeback, knocking over Slater with the Tomahawk Chop! He covers Slater, Murdoch is about to stop the tag -- but Garvin pulls him from the rope!
Wahoo covers Slater for the pinfall win, and Armstrong & Co. pull even with F.I.T.E.!

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SMW/May%20Champions/BobStomper_zpsrolux1er.png

Bob Armstrong steps in the ring. Randy Hales smirks, and announces his opponent...
Bob will have to get through The Mongolian Stomper to advance to the semifinals or every wrestler in the promotion must join the Federation of International Thugs and Eliminators!
Bob clearly was unprepared for the Stomper, and the vicious Mongolian takes advantage, wrecking his timid and shocked opponent for several minutes. Bob begins to mount a comeback, and with a brutal strike, knocks his opponent to the floor -- Stomper is incensed! Bob continues to go after Stomper, brutally, throwing him to the corner but the referee restarts the match, threatening to DQ Bob Armstrong if he doesn't give Stomper some space! Bob retreats, but argues angrily, as Randy Hales slips a gold chain to The Stomper, while the referee is distracted! The Stomper slams Bob with the foreign object, and covers him for the three count pinfall victory!
The Federation of International Thugs and Eliminators win the best of three series, and The Mongolian Stomper is one step closer to the SMW Heavyweight Title!

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SMW/May%20Champions/CandidoLee_zps6a7fclt8.png

Brian Lee, with the mastermind Tammy Fytch, faces off against Fytch's former client Chris Candido in our final semifinal match! Candido is highly motivated, clearly angry but outsized and without outside help. He uses his lightning-quick speed to get the early jump on his opponent, hitting exciting high impact moves, and nearly puts him away with a springboard dropkick. Brian Lee consults with Tammy like a boxer would with his manager, before re-entering the ring in time to avoid being counted out. Lee clearly has a better attitude, and the fight is fairly even. "Primetime" starts to wear as time goes on, and Candido clearly has the advantage. Tammy Fytch takes matters into her own hands, literally, and slams Chris with her loaded purse! Brian Lee hits the disoriented Candido with the primetime slam, and quickly covers.... and Candido kicks out a split-second after the referee counts to three! Candido repeats the mat-slapping motion, claiming the count was unusually fast.
Brain Lee has defeated Chris Candido to move onto the SMW Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinals!

Tag Team Championship Action in the Main Event with Southern Rockers Rex King and Steve Doll facing off against The Rock N' Roll Express
. Ron Wright is at ringside, and ready to do what it takes to get the titles for the challengers. The match is a chaotic brawl, with all four wrestlers going in and out of the match at various times, and several double teams. Rex and Doll seem to have a weight advantage, and Rex in particular is able to bully the smaller Ricky Morton. The two have several ferocious exchanges, with Rex King getting the better of his opponent, nearly forcing him to tap several times. The Rock and Roll Express have a never say die attitude, and seem unwilling to give up -- a series of near-falls and rope breaks have the Southern Rockers, particularly Rex, irrational, and after nearly twenty minutes of action, they are ready to snap. Rex throws Ricky to the enemy corner, and Ron Wright prepares to smash Ricky with his cane...

Chris Candido charges out from the front row, blowing his own disguise, and pulls Rex King off the top rope! The two begin brawling on the floor below, and the referee begins to count, as Candido throws the bigger King over the barricade and they brawl into the crowd! The referee counts out Rex King as both Ron Wright and Steve Doll are extremely livid!
The Rock and Roll Express defeat The Southern Rockers by count out to retain the titles and send the fans home happy!
