Justin
Here's the deal. I love TEW. I was an avid EWR player and I never got into TEW until a good friend of mine (Ping Von Erich on this forum) turned me on to 13 knowing how much I loved to book. You all know how it was, the initial jump from EWR to TEW was rough for a lot. Anyhow, nevermind that, I fell in love with 13 and the romance has easily transcended to 16. If I'm not playing, I'm thinking, every day, about playing TEW. But, and this is the part that sucks, I can't get into a save. I've downloaded and played damn near every mod and played damn near every fed and I've followed diaries and I've followed YouTube diaries... I'll spend like 4 hours setting up a game only to hate it by the end of the first PPV. This, as you may understand, is soul crushing. I was just getting into T-Verse at the end of the TEW13 run, and I got into C-Verse for the first time when 16 came out, but the new TV isn't out and every time I crank up CV I either wanna go do SWF (and I feel like I'm copying Eisen-verse's diary) or I feel overwhelmed and lost. I love TEW. But I'm so frustrated with it I can't even see straight. Help a brother out?
Dr_Avalanche
I've been in a similar situation. I've probably started 20 different games, and of those, I can say I might as well delete 18, because they feel dead in the water.

When I have been successful in getting a game going, it has been important to let the imagination run free. Dig into the roster, imagine the wrestlers' personalities, what kind of alliances and rivalries could develop and how stories might progress. It has been important to find characters I'm actually interested in, or it will never last.
Justin
Part of my problem is, I always want to develop guys who start the game as ET/OP on my rosters, but I'm terrible at developing people.

So I'll switch to a game where they're a little more developed, but I don't like how they fit anymore.

I'm almost literally pulling my hair out at this point.
Mootinie
I'm having a similar problem. I haven't ran a save for any considerable length yet because as I start them, I just wind up wanting to run them as diaries. I come up with the ideas, I imagine how the matches would go down and how the promos would sound and then I just get the itch to write it all out and share it.

Every save becomes a diary. Then I get cold feet on running it as a diary and then I don't play the save again because in my mind, it has no diary potential. But maybe when I come back, I'll see the potential! So I'll put this on the backburner, I won't exhaust the material from it and I'll find another save I can play; rinse and repeat.

Yeah I'm fairly frustrated too. I think we just need to stick to a save Justin and just roll with it. Just go, don't let anything stop us from you know, just playing the damn game.
Andylion
It may not work for you, but what works for me is this:

Take one event that's unlikely to have happened/would shock you/may even seem like a straight up BAD decision. Then say three little words. "What the hell?" Do it.

That gives you a goal to work towards. Plan ahead, make another plot point for a month or so later. Do that. So on and so forth until you get bored.

I'll explain a bit more. In my 2009 dynasty, my "(bleep) it" moment was Kofi Kingston winning the WWE Title. I wanted to book a Bray Wyatt debut with Dean and Seth as the rest of his family, so I did that. Well, after that, I wanted Shawn Michaels to end the streak, so I had a few months to work towards that. That put me up through Wrestlemania. By that point, I was invested in 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes. I also found myself getting invested in MVP as Mr Money In The Bank.

Basically, pick one event that you want to book and do it. By the time you get there, the pieces that you let just fall into place in order to get to that big moment may have sparked your interest in your next big moment.
CamillePunk
This happened to me a lot with TEW10. Kept starting games, setting them up, book a show or two, shut down the game, then next time I loaded it up I started over with another fed. At one point I must have had 20 save files, and I'd often be deleting them and starting over with the same feds. Wasted countless hours doing this, I'm ashamed to say.

Eventually I just vowed to myself I was going to commit to one save no matter what. No matter what idea got into my head, I wasn't going to start over or choose a different company. I'd play this one save or not play at all.

This worked. Ended up booking an immensely rewarding and quite long USPW save in TEW10, and several years later I still remember all the big moments and great feuds from that save. There were some moments where I was feeling dry creatively and wanted new scenery, but I just told myself the grass on the other side was not going to be greener and I'd find myself back in that same wasteful cycle, and forged ahead with my USPW save until I was having fun again.

Hope this is helpful.
Justin
Much obliged, you guys. I'm settling into a WCW 91 game, where I know I've only got Flair for six months so I've got to build the Main Event up to live without him in just six months, and that's my first challenge.

Any more comments or ideas are always welcomed!

I wont change a show that tanks. But if I've managed to book my preshow as the main event etc then I change it. Like in real life in WWE no one would let Vince book Sin Cara vs FAndango as a main event in an administrative error!
