Choosing the length of an event/show

Recommended Posts

Or "why would I make shows last more than one hour?"

I'm wondering how much impact the length of an event/show has.

Obviously a longer show allows you to have more content, but is that desirable? If my roster is on PPA, more content costs more. And if the rating is based mostly on the main event and best match, why would I even want possibly lower-rated matches?

I'm going to guess "training". But then why wouldn't I have everyone else be on pre and post-show, as long as that content fits the time limits?

Considering my current game context, I'm interested in an answer for non-televised events, but I do want to know if there's a difference when it comes to TV shows and PPVs.

Note that I don't want to game the game, even if it's possible, but I'm acting as if, to try to find criterias that would justify not making the shortest shows possible.

<p>Different mechanics of the game works together here.</p><p> </p><p>

Size of your company indicates how many wrestlers you should have on your roster, or you will appear "amateurish" which invoke certain penalties.</p><p> </p><p>

With a larger roster, more people will want time in front of an audience, or they will be unhappy, leading to penalties. </p><p> </p><p>

But I don't think there is anything inherent about a shorter show that will make it rate worse than a longer show. If there is, I'm sure someone will correct me. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

For a small company, it is absolutely fine to run shorter shows. In my Road to Glory game, the first couple of years I ran 1 hour shows only, with a single season finale running longer.</p>
