AWA Formed

Today Chris and Ash Styles announced that the AWA will Debut This month.

There has been tons of speculation and rumors about this new promotion that uses Respect for Wrestling Style.

Today the Owners announced the following Company information on their website.

Company Information

The American Wrestling Association (AWA) Are an american Wrestling Promotion from New England whose Respect for Wrestling Style defines the wrestling We put on.

Divisions

The AWA will consist of Three Divisions, The National, Cruiserweight and Womens.

The AWA will hold weekly events that will be shown at awalive.com, with each Division being showcased once a month an then in week four a special.

Press Conference

CS: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the first AWA Conference call. We are extremely delighted to get the promotion up and running and Can not wait to have our first show.

This call is for us to share with you more information on the AWA, our goals and any questions you may have after.

The American Wrestling Association is registered under its the parent company WWA World Wrestling Alliance. Our Goal is to first create the best wrestling America has to offer with AWA.

Is we are succeeding with that goal the next step would be to open up Promotions in Canada, Japan and then the UK. They all would be operated by the WWA.

We signed some of the best talents that are out there today who can get great matches to our audience.

The AWA has three brands, National, Cruiserweight and Women’s. Each Brand Offers something for the fans. Matches will have a 20-minute time limit.

Now we would like to allow some Questions from you all.

Q: Will the competitors in AWA be allowed to work with other promotions? If not, do you think this will have the effect of diluting the industry and weakening other companies to the point that many smaller companies are forced to close their doors?

CS: Most of the Talent has been given written deals as we know that to make these brands work we need to keep that talent that will be putting in the work.

We will be Allowing other promotions to Sign up to an alliance so they can borrow the AWA talent, This would give our talent more exposure.

The AWA has a grand appeal to it with the way you all have set your website and such, but how do you truly plan to build the AWA brand with the drawing power of any of the big three promotions in America? To follow that up, what is the approach AWA will take in regards to current fans and possible new fans of the sport?

CS:We know that we Can not Challenge the big Promotions yet and that’s not our aim, We want AWA to be something different for fans. We Feel AWA will attract a fan base that wants to see wrestling with more physical matches and Championships match mean more even if from time to time we indulge in some not so “realistic” or storylines, good matches are still the top priority.

Where does the financial support for such a venture come from? Is there a corporate tie-in that will require AWA to shill out advertisements for its parent company?

CS:The AWA is Financially backed by Myself and my brother Ash Styles as well as a third backer who has a Big interest in the AWA. The Third backer owns his own Oil Company and that company will be advertised throughout AWA.

Q: Which Wrestlers were you excited to sign?

CS: There are a Number of great wrestlers that we have managed to get to sign deals Ernest Youngman, Greg Gauge, Frankie Perez, Sara Marie and Mimic are just a few names.

Q: When you do hope to Start you first show?

CS: AWA Live will be shown every week on our website at awa.com. We are aiming to start events mid-September and hope to have a PPV Agreement soon too.

AWA Announce details on AWA Live.

The American Wrestling Association today released details on the Weekly Event AWA Live that will Air online at AWA.com on Wednesdays.

Starting This September AWA will showcase each Division. Week 1 Of the month will feature The Nationals, Week 2 will Showcase the Cruiserweights and Week 3 will see the Women in action.

The Final week of the month will then see All three divisions on the event.

AWA also announced that at the end of the month they will have a PPV the first being Showdown.

They Call me "The Tap Out Artist" I am a grappler from Puerto Rico, I have an extensive background in professional Mixed Martial Arts; the biggest fight of My MMA career was in 2001 when he reached the quarter finals of A major tournament of the year, losing to future wrestling star Buddy Garner. I Then joined the new Japanese promotion INSPIRE in 2006 and became one of the success stories of the company, rising up the card and winning several big matches. The promotion closed in 2009, and I went on to sign with my home-town promotion of FCW in late 2010; I became Puerto Rican champion in 2012.

Ash Styles Diary 001

OOC (Out Of Character) talk

Before I start this is one of the biggest things I liked when starting this dynasty is that I was allowed to do diary/rp things like Phantom Stranger and Occasional Z, not saying it will really be able to hold up and be that good, but I'll try, not sure if Dose will do many things like this but I'll try to do this regulary after the CWC shows. These will be a mix of DoseOfStyle's Diary entries in WWE: an Opportunity to make a name" and Phantom Stranger style "fly on the wall" (best name for it I could make) type things if there is anything you think would make it better be sure to tell me.

Diary Entry 1 (Directly after the first CWC show)

Well, that was a hell of a thing! The first show was certainly an experience to book from the very beginning, before I could do anything Frankie Perez was out in Japan wrestling for WLW Samurai and Ninja, apparently I had forgotten to check that the WLW shows fall exactly on my CWC dates, so we I'll have to go to Chris and ask him to change the broadcasting schedule so that the Women's Divison show fall on the second week and mine on the third, it's a shame since he would have beaten Masked Cougar and Frantic Ali to go on and be a definite part of Showdown, well at least he defended his WLW title at the show, so good for him.

In other news though my show of AWA did better than Chris's and was almost as good as the WLW show by a point on that Total Extreme Wrestling site, not sure why so many people have so much confidence in it but people agree with their grading stuff so I have to do good for them, anyways definitely a good start I'd say to my booking job here.

Also I'm brokering a deal with TCW to share workers and it looks like it would be a big help in building the company, Chris didn't want them to be in the alliance proper but like i originally wanted but this is the next best thing, who knows maybe we could do an invasion storyline or a war of the promotions type Special Event at some point, hmm...

But back the subject of booking I'm not sure the Road Agents liked me having part of the matches and doing the booking, they seem to think I'll just put myself at the top, but I know my place and an extra guy to try and make the show better shouldn't be too bad, and it's not like Chris didn't show train me how to do this stuff so I would ready, so the other wrestlers don't really have much to worry about, but that with the fact that they're all old enough to be my parents with me being 17 and they having been around the block more than a few times probably doesn't help them see me as anything more than an arrogant kid anyways, hell mom and dad were kinda miffed about me taking part of Chris's plan for this promotion anyways after doing six years of this and not going to a particularly big company, anyways as long as R.K. Hayes doesn't get too mad then I'll keep on keeping on. He's a scary dude and could still probably knock me out...

Still, though I may need to make a small writing team for the roster, I have some ideas for what I want to do but more opinions help, keeping on that I still need to talk to that body painter guy, Asaemon I think he called himself to see about that design I wanted for Frankie.
