It's not that the renders were bad it's that the renders were good for the limited retro tech you were using - the tech made people look somewhat generic sometimes but these are popping. I will not rerender my characters completely, cause that's too much for me. No way do you need to re-render 2000 odd characters but I think it's great that you now have the option to play around with different looks using different tech when you feel like it. The original renders were good but the new ones are really evocative. Need to keep the lad from seeing these - his room is already a HarleyQuinn/Margot Robbie tribute site.</p><p> </p><p> Your old stand by program is pretty good for masked wrestlers however as shown by Slasher and even the original Tayla. It's clearly got quite decent resources for that type of work. </p><p> </p><p> I like 9 out of 10 of those with only the old Haniko feeling a bit too housewifey to ever be pushed. I like them as a base but I suspect the white elements are what's causing that effect for me in the 4 you posted. I suspect those renders might pop more on your normal backgrounds.
