The 6th night of the BOSJ has seen an unlikely duo emerge on top of the B Block. While many fans expected Ricochet to be one of the top performers of the tournament, very few would have predicted that Tiger Mask would be there as well. Last year, we saw the veteran Ryusuke Taguchi make it all the way to the finals; could Tiger Mask capture some of the same magic and return to the finals for the first time since 2006?

The 7th night of the BOSJ tournament was perhaps the best one so far, as the A Block tore the house down with some amazing bouts. KUSHIDA and Rocky Romero put on what may be the best match of the tournament so far, as they traded strikes and submissions for 15 minutes of incredible action. Despite securing the victory, KUSHIDA remains tied for first place, as Titán has taken control of the A Block with his upset over Marty Scurll. With wins over both Scurll and KUSHIDA, Titán has the tiebreaker over both men.

Best of the Super Jr. XXIV Night 8 results!

<div style="background-color:#ffffff;color:yellow;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";">Best of the Super Jr. XXIV Night 8 results! by Dean - 6/2/17

As if the B Block was not tight enough, we now have a 3 way tie atop the group with Ricochet, Tiger Mask and Hiromu Takahashi all with 6 points. Meanwhile, Dragon Lee, Ryusuke Taguchi and Beretta all picked up critical wins to get them to 4 points. The B Block is still up in the air as anyone of these 6 men could emerge as finalists. We are in the home stretch of the tournament, as the A Block will be in action tomorrow night in Night 9 of the 24th annual BOSJ live from Korakuen Hall!

The 9th night of the BOSJ saw Marty Scurll pull ahead with only two matches to go in the block. There is currently a logjam at 6 points, but Scurll's wily School Boy pin over fellow Bullet Club member Matt Jackson put him in sole possession of first place with 8 points. However, this night ended with another amazing KUSHIDA match. In regards to match quality, it would be hard to argue anyone other than KUSHIDA is the MVP of this year's tournament.

The B Block looks like it will come down to only a few competitors, as both Ricochet and Hiromu Takahashi pulled ahead to 8 points a piece. While Tiger Mask and Dragon Lee still could emerge as victors, Ricochet and Takahashi are currently the front runners. There are only 2 nights left before the 6/13 event at the Naruko Sports Center, wherein all of the competitors will square off to determine who will be in the finals.

The A Block is still to be determined as there is now a three way tie atop the group. Last year's winner Will Ospreay, KUSHIDA and Marty Scurll all sit at 8 points. Any of these three could still make the finals, as Scurll holds a win over Ospreay while KUSHIDA holds a win over Scurll. BUSHI and Titán are still alive as well, as they have wins over Ospreay and KUSHIDA, respectively. It's still anyone's game as the winner of Block A will come down to the final matches on the huge Naruko Sports Center show on 6/8!

While the A Block is still totally up in the air, NJPW fans left Osaka Gymnasium with a much better idea of who will win the B Block. After a shocking defeat at the hands of Ryusuke Taguchi, Hiromu Takahashi has fallen into 2nd place behind Ricochet, who is atop Block B with 10 points. The winner of the B Block will come down to just one match on 6/8, as Ricochet and Hiromu will face off to determine who advances to the finals! The BOSJ will continue at the Naruko Sports Center with the final 8 tournament matches to determine the finalists that will meet on the 11th at the Sendai Sun Plaza!

Apologies for the hiatuses. Been playing a lot of Dark Souls 3. ANYWAY, I am stoked to see Scurll in Bullet Club. I saw it happen live in NYC and was very excited I predicted all this months ago. I am happy I don't have to change too much. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> On the other hand, I am really depressed by the Shibata situation. Not sure how to handle it in my game, but I am thinking I am going to just book his ascent as if he never left since he was one of my favorites and I had some interesting long-term plans. BOSJ Night 13 coming up soon!

First of all, you're better at booking these types of tournament than I am. I can never get the final match to actually determine anything.

Second, I've really been impressed by how rapidly the Japanese fans have taken to Marty Scurll. The fans got behind him faster than Michael Elgin.

Third when you start a game, it becomes it's own world, and you kinda have to proceed along the path this world provides. If the opposite had happened: A talent in-game got a long-term, probably career ending injury that didn't occur in real life, you'd have to proceed along that path, just like you should proceed as if Shibata(and Honma's) injuries didn't happen.
